Shannon is wondering if she got scammed. You think you got scammed?

00:01:36 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 4:

I think so. I want to say I talked about this thing that my daughter wanted a couple of months ago. She's in fifth grade, and there's these hoodies that I think were made popular on TikTok, which she doesn't have TikTok, so I don't know how she heard about this. But especially among the Swifties, they're called Pink Palm Puff hoodies. yeah okay so to me it looks like a sweatshirt that you could get at like a touristy shop in florida but whatever yeah like they all want one right now so i kept telling her no no no no but she has just like made some milestones in some areas of her life and so i was like okay i'm gonna surprise her and tweet her i ordered this thing from the official website because you You can get the knockoffs on Teemu, by the way, for like six bucks. But I ordered an official one on the actual website on August 19th. Okay. And it said that I would get it within three to four. They would ship it out within like three to four business days. I still haven't gotten it. And it is now October 1st. And so I emailed them once and they were like, oh yeah, here, like we're going to, this is your new tracking information. You'll get it in 10 to 12 days. Okay. Well, 12 days passed. So I emailed them again and she's like, I don't know what's wrong with your order. Here's a new tracking number. Like we'll send out another one. Same thing. Never got it 12 days later. So I'm like, what the heck? I feel like I got scammed and I'm never getting this thing. And I just need to call my credit card and have the charge removed because, you know.

00:03:13 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 5:

And you went first to their site to go order it? That's where I ordered it from. So it wasn't like Amazon or any of that stuff.

00:03:21 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 4:

But the site only has, like, six things on it. Yeah. Like, I think this was created by, like, some, I don't know the story, some girl, like, teenage girl. I don't know. Am I a sucker? One more time, what's it called? Pink. It's like a tongue twister. Pink palm puff. Yeah. Okay. And I see the charge on my credit card, so I was charged for it, but even the charge, like, looks funky to me.

00:03:44 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 5:

You know what this reminds me of? This reminds me of when you bought-

00:03:48 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 4:

The Barbie dream house.

00:03:49 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 5:

Well, you've had a couple of them. There's two of them. The Barbie Dreamhouse, which I'm going to have you explain that story in a second, but then also the mini leaf blower.

00:03:59 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 4:

No, but you keep thinking that that was not...

00:04:03 - 00:04:04 | Speaker 5:

You got scammed on that.

00:04:04 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 4:

No, it was supposed to be mini.

00:04:05 - 00:04:06 | Speaker 5:

You did?

00:04:06 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 4:

Yes, I got what I wanted. You wanted a mini leaf blower. Yes, by the way, Amazon for that.

00:04:11 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 5:

Tell the Barbie Dreamhouse one.

00:04:13 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 4:

The Barbie Dreamhouse story, I typed in this Barbie Dreamhouse that she wanted because there's a few different ones. This was for Christmas a couple of years ago, and this, like, Barbie site came up, and the thing was, like, on special for, I don't know, $39.99. These things are, like, $140, you know? But I'm like, ooh, it must be a, it was a flash sale, so I, like, and the site looked legit. It wasn't Mattel, but it was, like, Barbie.com or something that made sense to me. I am dumb, is what I'm saying.

00:04:48 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 5:

And what was it that came?

00:04:49 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 4:

Nothing.

00:04:50 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 5:

Nothing.

00:04:51 - 00:04:52 | Speaker 4:

Nothing came.

00:04:53 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:04:54 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 4:

Nothing came. I've had this happen to me.

00:04:55 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

Don't feel bad about it. I had this happen to me. I ordered what I thought was a...

00:05:00 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 6:

customized hat that I thought I'm going to do one offshoot of it just to see if I liked it and it was a customized hat to buy just to give away to listeners and it was like this embroidery shop that came up that said you can customize the hat and so I did the Mojo in the Morning logo I have it at home, the hat literally would fit not even Smith, it would be actually

00:05:28 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 4:

small on smith it was like a little kid hack you guys too i cannot be mean and so i'm like i that's it i'm sending an email i'm so pissed about this on friday on friday this is the email i send to them hello again i'm getting concerned about this i ordered this hoodie on august 19th never received it emailed several days ago and was provided tracking information but it was simply this email saying a label had been created nothing has been shipped i would like an immediate response to this email in terms of what's going on or i will dispute the charge via my credit card company and take further action that's me that's you being angry that's me being angry yeah and an

00:06:04 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 2:

emoji that was very angry pink hearts for people remember when um obama had his uh what is the one that they do for press that dinner where they tell you oh the correspondence and they had keegan michael key come and be his anger translator you need that i do remember that man i got a scan one

00:06:21 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 5:

time there were some really expensive shoes that i wanted some black loafers they had like these metal plates on the top and the back fired but they cost a grip and i didn't have the bread so i tried to like google around it and try to like google and try to find something that was cheaper but the same pair but wound up finding the site the deal was too good to be true it's kind of like what you said where it's slash 649 dollars for sale by now three days yeah the countdown clock i knew it was a scam but i still pressed buy i knew it was a scam yeah because when i bought it through my paypal it switched from the name of the site to like donate at brenda.com and i was like donate like this don't start yeah scam still don't have it couldn't dispute the

00:07:09 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 6:

charge because it was a whole bunch of things you know what you need be careful you need like the problem solvers or rob wall checks hall of shame you know that's what you need you need like that you need one of these guys from one of the for me the tv state yeah you need like them to do to do a story no no hank help me hank is he's not mean enough you need that rob walchuk guy hall of shame you know whatever you need to have him do it because he's gonna find out he's gonna find out that it's some dude in another country that's probably it's not even he's like a 16

00:08:17 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 6:

What's going on?

00:08:19 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 2:

I'm just calling in to say

00:08:21 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 3:

I ordered four of those sweatshirts And it took about 45 days

00:08:24 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 6:

45? It's going to be hot outside

00:08:26 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 4:

No, it'll be perfect

00:08:29 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 6:

You want the sweatshirts when it's colder Why are you buying it in the summertime? It'll be a whole different season They probably don't think that she can wear it right now That's amazing that it took that long Were you also like Shannon? Were you like getting in contact wondering what the hell is going on?

00:08:41 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 3:

I would ask my daughter, have your sweatshirts came yet? And she'd be like, no, Mom, you just have to be patient. I say, patient after two weeks is a long time, honey. And they're not cheap. So, like, you want them. They're not cheap. In what world? They're not cheap. But hopefully you get the embroidered ones because they have somewhere, they just have, like, the glue on there. Those were the first ones that went out. And now they're hand-stitching or whatever you call it.

00:09:13 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 6:

And the first ones were bad, huh?

00:09:15 - 00:09:15 | Unknown:

I understand that, all this.

00:09:16 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 3:

The first ones was her friends have some, and they think they got the knockoff because hers or my daughter's is stitched in.

00:09:24 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, okay. What's going on, John?

00:09:28 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, about two weeks ago, the wife and I were at the store we were walking through. It was Sunday, and I wanted to watch the Lions game. so I got on my phone and I paid a buck. This thing said you pay a dollar and I could watch the game. I put my card in there and didn't even get to watch the game because it switched me to a whole bunch of other stuff. And then by the end of the night, they hit my account for 90 bucks.

00:09:56 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you were watching it on an app somewhere?

00:10:00 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 2:

I was trying to watch it on, yeah, I was trying to watch it on the app, and I clicked on it for, it said it was going to cost a dollar. Yeah. I was like, okay, I could spring a dollar. And then later on that night, I got hit for 90 bucks, so I went right back to the bank Monday morning, and I canceled that.

00:10:17 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, you got to be careful.

00:10:18 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 5:

I just know your bank saw that and was like, you deserve this.

00:10:22 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:10:22 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:10:23 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 4:

You got to do it.

00:10:25 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 2:

I'll bet you I have had to replace my card like 20 times. They know that I'm an idiot.
