Mojo in the morning. How did you feel yesterday after going home and having your first day back at work after having the flu?

00:01:56 - 00:02:09 | Speaker 2:

I'll be super honest with you. I was wiped. That's why I didn't go downtown with you guys. I wanted to see the new studio so bad, but I said to you when I was about to leave here, I'm like, I have to go lay down for a couple of hours because it knocked me right in my butt.

00:02:09 - 00:02:22 | Speaker 4:

It loses your energy. I didn't realize this, but do you mind if I share the other thing that you're dealing with? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Shannon's got another issue that's going on that is very painful.

00:02:23 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 2:

Kidney infection. I know it's the worst. It is the absolute absolute worst, especially because I already had a lot of the symptoms of, you know, the flu that I was dealing with for the past couple of days. And then I started having this other thing where I'm like, why does it doesn't burn when I be but it was hurting really bad. And I also had like shooting pain up my my sides and my back. And it was like the whole thing on top of each other has just been it's been a real treat the past couple of days. Megan, you've had one, haven't you?

00:02:52 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 1:

I had two in 16 months and it was the worst experience of my entire life. And I I genuinely had never been sicker or in more pain in my entire life than when I had a kidney infection.

00:03:04 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 2:

Yes, it is real. And like to the point where it's painful when you when you pee. And so poor Luce and Smith have heard me trying to go to the bathroom, and I was, like, screaming. It burns when I pee. It didn't burn, again. I really want to clear that up. It's a whole different kind of pain. And thank goodness, you know, I'm taking medication for it, and so I'm feeling a ton better. Not great, but better. But I had to explain to Lucy, like, short-form explanation for an 8-year-old that, and slight mom lie. I'm like you this this could happen to you if you hold your pee and don't go to the bathroom when you need to go to the bathroom because she does this all the time and so I thought I'm gonna use this as like a little bit of a teaching tool even though that's not the entire truth but well I got myself into a little bit of trouble because fast forward to last night we went to see Wes's daughter play in a basketball game on the east side and then we went to a sports bar out there called Art and Jake's. And so this sweet waitress is at our table and it's me, Wes, my kids, Smith and Lucy, and Wes's kids, Sam and Kieran. And so the waitress is like trying to take our order and Lucy's like, mom, I have to go to the bathroom right now. You have to take me to the bathroom right now. Well, I'm like shooting the mean mom eyes at her because I want the waitress to go around and take all of our orders and I didn't want loose interrupting. So I was giving her like the, hold on a second, stop interrupting this poor woman who's trying to take our order and she kept going mom mom finally she says loud enough for everyone including the waitress to hear you don't want me to get your infection and scream when i pee like you do do you

00:04:44 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 4:

i thought west was gonna choke he was laughing so hard i'm like great oh my god that sounds

00:04:55 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

lovely. You did tell her. I did.

00:05:00 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 6:

Don't hold your pee.

00:05:01 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 2:

Yep. Yep. Don't want me to get your infection and scream when I pee like you do.

00:05:06 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 6:

Awesome. It's really great. The beauty of children is when they don't talk. That's weird. No, I think it's so funny. And every parent has a story like that. Every parent has a story where their kid blurted out something that they weren't supposed to in front of strangers or maybe not so strangers. Will you share yours with us? 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665 6548-844-MOJO-LIVE That's great Oh my god Is the thing like from you being in the studio for as long a period of time that you got it from our length of non-breaks because we're like more than an hour and a half commercial free I don't think so I've never had a kidney infection at all but I have held my pee and I've had this you know we've talked before on the show listen we've talked before about duty in our pants I'm gonna admit this the other day I actually peed my pants because I was outside and I was taking the garbage out and I started like to a point where I had to go pee and then the dogs were out and they had to go to the bathroom and I'm outside and I was trying to like hold it in and I ended up I was like doing the dance and I ended up like some was you know starting to pee out and i go inside and chelsea's i quickly took off my pants and i went to go to the washer to go wash him she's like why are you washing him i go uh henry peed on me and i literally i'm telling you the lie right now chelsea i apologize because there's nothing that is like less romantic than knowing that your spouse just peed themselves so i apologize

00:06:44 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 1:

i almost did yesterday we were driving while we were touring our new building and there's no operational bathrooms yet and they do have a porta potty for the construction workers but i thought i'll just wait till i get home well after i left the building i thought oh my gosh i gotta go now why did i wait so i pull over i i run in beyond juice well they're they don't have a bathroom for customers oh my really so okay so i go next door their bathroom's out of order the guy's like i'm really sorry i just broke this morning we're dying here so then i'm like going i'm going through the neighborhood like where can i find a bathroom i finally find this place to sell spices and I'm like, I bought some Jamaican jerk chicken rub just to go use their bathroom. I was like, thank you. I almost

00:07:24 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 6:

peed myself. It's the worst feeling in the world, isn't it? Oh, yeah. When you have to

00:07:28 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 1:

do that. Yeah, I definitely feel for our friends who have Crohn's and colitis who really, you know, you have to plan your whole day around where are the bathrooms. I need to take a pee-pee.

00:07:38 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 6:

What's going on, Nikki?

00:07:41 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 2:

So when my sister was little, he had a heart murmur and the doctor was listening And she kept trying to interrupt her She was only like three She's like excuse me Why do you have breadcrumb on your hair And he had like dandruff And my mom was mortified He didn't say anything He just like stone face doctor

00:08:00 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 6:

Kids are way too honest Cheryl what's going on It's Mojo in the morning

00:08:07 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 3:

Hi guys Good morning I was shopping with my daughter She was about three and a half years old I wanted to go into Lane Bryant. She didn't want to go. No, we have to. Mama's fat. We got to go into the fat lady store. So I'm looking through a rack, and she's tugging on me, yelling at me, Mom, Mom, Mom, Mom. I'm like, what? She goes, you don't have to shop here. Her's fatter than you. Oh, no. Oh, no. I wanted to crawl into the rack and die.

00:08:37 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 6:

Oh, jeez. Actually, that's the point where you go, whose kid is this? Like, whose kid is this? Who left their kid here? Crystal?

00:08:47 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 4:

Hi, how are you?

00:08:48 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 6:

Oh, God, this is another one of those stories, like that last one. What happened?

00:08:52 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 4:

Well, when my daughter was about six, it was when the movie Fat Albert came out, and there was a heavier set black guy that was, like, at the table right by us. She goes, look, Mom, there's Fat Albert.

00:09:04 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no. I about died.

00:09:06 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 4:

I died.

00:09:07 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 6:

It was crazy. Did the guy hear it?

00:09:10 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, he just smiled.

00:09:11 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 6:

Oh, jeez. My kids have done the Santa Claus thing to an older, fat, gray-haired gentleman before thinking of Santa Claus.

00:09:20 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's so embarrassing.

00:09:21 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:09:22 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 4:

It's so funny, though.

00:09:23 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 6:

Thank you for the call. We appreciate it. What's happening, Dawn?

00:09:28 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 5:

So I used to be a lot heavier than what I am now, and I was in Catholic church or attending mass, and you know how you have to get up every 10 seconds or 10 minutes.

00:09:39 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah. Stand, sit, kneel. Stand, sit, kneel. Yes.

00:09:42 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 5:

Yes, yes, well, I, oh my gosh, I sneezed, peed myself, as when I stood up, there was a puddle on the pew.

00:09:53 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no, and that's why they call it a pew. So embarrassing.

00:09:59 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:

It's the.

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so did people see it?

00:10:05 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I immediately threw my coat over. Oh, that's exactly what I was going to say. Yeah, I was going to say, that's good.

00:10:09 - 00:10:11 | Speaker 5:

Move, good move.

00:10:11 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 1:

I nearly, thank goodness I was wearing black pants, but, like, I literally put my coat over it, and I was just like, we can't leave masks until everyone else leaves.

00:10:20 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 5:

Wow. Yeah, Stan, Sid, and Neil makes you have to go to the bathroom. What's going on, Becca?

00:10:25 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Hi. But before I tell what he's saying, I have to tell the background story. He was born, he's a boy, six years old then, when you say it. But he was born, and unfortunately, I put on his birth certificate that he was a female. So he was a female when he was two years old. But that's a whole other story. So he overheard a game.

00:10:48 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 5:

You accidentally did that? You accidentally put on his birth certificate?

00:10:51 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he was a female.

00:10:52 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 5:

So was it hard to change it back?

00:10:56 - 00:10:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, really, really hard. It's a really funny story, but that's all the time.

00:10:59 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 5:

Okay. All right.

00:11:00 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 2:

I actually really want to hear this story.

00:11:03 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 5:

That actually is an interesting topic that we should do sometime.

00:11:06 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 2:

It's really hard. It's really hard to change once it's there.

00:11:10 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's interesting.

00:11:11 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 2:

You need three doctors to tell that he's a boy. Wow. And I didn't have anything. So he took his diapers off. And I was like, you are more proof than that. She's like, yeah, it doesn't work like that. and i say oh you know what um he's gonna be a girl and he's gonna change when he's 18 i walk out of the building and they they uh send the security after me they know he cannot do that he's a boy i said i know he's a boy and but you cannot do that you had to be changed and i said why are you guys giving a hard time so uh they call the supervisor the supervisor talk you know talk to her doctor his doctor and then um they want me to call the doctor at least and i said no and i left again i was in the live area and i came back and they say okay okay we're gonna do that for you but it's illegal because we have to have two doctors say that he's a boy at least wow so that was when he was two years old that i found out when he was six i was talking to a friend of mine and i did not know i didn't even know he was in the house so he overheard me say this story and he said he looked at eyes and he looked at me and said mom why am i by china is Oh, I'm sorry. I can't say that right. No, you can say it. You can say vagina.

00:12:22 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. You can. Vagina.

00:12:24 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 2:

Why am I? And he say in Portuguese because I'm Brazilian. So he say, why am I? It's going to grow. And my friend look at me and what is pedagogy?

00:12:38 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 5:

And you're like, well, funny story. There's a lot of paperwork involved here.

00:12:41 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 2:

And I say, it's not going to grow, honey. And he's like, but, well, you should say that I was born a girl. And I had to put this boy

00:12:50 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 5:

How crazy is that How wild is it that the mistake That you make on your birth certificate And it's so hard to change back

00:12:58 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 2:

His name is David

00:12:59 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 5:

Wow can you just do me a favor That's a wild story and very interesting Can you just say vagina again

00:13:07 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh my god Vagina Vagina It's so cute How she says it You know, I think I sound like all you guys. And then I record and I play. I was like, holy, oh, my God. That's how I sound?

00:13:26 - 00:13:27 | Unknown:

That's awful.

00:13:29 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 5:

No, you sound beautiful. Honestly, it's just awesome. I love it. That's wild, though, that to your ears, you say that you sound like everybody else. Then you record yourself and listen. Then you finally hear your accent.

00:13:42 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 2:

It's awful. And I know it must be cute because I get out of a lot of traffic tickets because of my accent. Oh, do you?

00:13:51 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 5:

You get a lot of traffic tickets or you get out of a lot of traffic?

00:13:55 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 2:

Let's not talk anymore. I talk a lot, and I'm the best FBI story.

00:14:00 - 00:14:05 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, she gets out of tickets because the cop's like, I don't have time for this 20-minute story. Just go.
