Mojo in the Morning Show. Shannon lied about diarrhea. By the way, I saw that on the... So, we posted that up on our teases today, up on the thing. And when I saw it there, I thought, you know what? Sometimes we never get to some of the teases, the things that we talk about. I should just let it go and not let Shannon tell the story.

00:02:07 - 00:02:09 | Speaker 1:

And everybody think that I'm the one with diarrhea.

00:02:10 - 00:02:11 | Speaker 6:

Well, that's what I assumed.

00:02:11 - 00:02:14 | Speaker 1:

I'm not feeling that great this morning. I'm being very transparent, so maybe.

00:02:15 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 6:

Well, if you diarrhea, diarrhea during this topic. So, it makes it full circle. What's going on?

00:02:21 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So I, I hate wasting food and I feel like in our house, we unfortunately waste a lot of food and it just pains me to look in my refrigerator and go, nobody's going to eat that. And I know it and nobody's going to eat that. And I know it, and that's just going to rot in there until I throw it away. So the night before last, I was trying to clean out the fridge and there was a big Ziploc bag that was filled with pepperoni slices left over from a pizza making night that we did with the kids. and so I went to toss them I opened the bag and I was like these are they're not bad per se I just know we're not going to use them and I pan over to the three dogs who are just looking at me longingly just wanting a pepperoni slice right or 20 yeah and so I thought well rather than throw them away and waste them I threw each of the dogs a few maybe more than a few pepperoni slices so fast forward to the next morning I'm here in the studio Zach saw this because I got it and I showed him Wes my husband Wes sends me a photo of massive diarrhea all over our kitchen floor in fact I'll show you guys in the studio just it looked like poop was raining from the ceiling that's for sure well and he's like one of the dogs he's like I think it was Willow which is his Frenchie I think something's wrong with her tummy I woke up and this is what I'm dealing with this morning how's your morning going well I played dumb and pretended that I didn't know why this diarrhea episode happened because I just did not feel like getting yelled at about it he has told me yes time and time again not to feed her anything but her own food and treats because She has a very sensitive stomach, but I clean up dog poop all the time and being very honest with you, it's kind of nice for somebody else in my household to have to clean up the dog poop for a change. So I said nothing. You're terrible. He's probably so stressed out about what could possibly be wrong with this dog. And you know, if he was going to take her to the vet or something for it, I would come clean.

00:04:35 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 6:

So wait, are you, this is your first time saying it? He's not, he's hearing it right now?

00:04:39 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 1:

if he's hearing it I don't know what he's doing

00:04:43 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 6:

this is it here because I was going to say this is even better that you haven't said oh my gosh you know when you were a kid and they had those dots with the numbers and you would trace it to make a

00:04:56 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 1:

there are 37 dots

00:05:00 - 00:05:01 | Speaker 3:

A small dog, that's a lot of poop.

00:05:02 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 2:

Do you, Shannon, do you feed table scraps to the other dogs?

00:05:06 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 3:

I'm really bad about that. Yes, I know you're not supposed to, but like I, they love cucumber. They love the crust from the bread in the morning when I'm making Lucy and Smith lunch that my kids won't eat, so I give that to the dogs. They eat anything. They love green beans. Yeah, I know there are obviously certain things that I cannot give them.

00:05:28 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 2:

do you feed uh your dogs more organic than you feed his dog because you gave no no no no they

00:05:33 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 3:

all got it they all got it okay so they all equally but his dog has a sensitive stomach and i know that but i just felt bad i can't give it to bo and to charlie and not to willow

00:05:45 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 2:

the funny thing about this whole thing is that the fact that you kept this thing even that morning like that he sent you the first text talking about the diarrhea like that you haven't that you didn't even say anything right away it took you to do a topic on the radio to actually

00:06:02 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 3:

mess up to this that's evil i learned from the best my friend you know what i would do if i was

00:06:11 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 2:

him that's you because i am the best i know i know i'm good at that if i'm wes i would feed smith and lucy tons of sugar on a day on a day or one of those weeks like if you have to work

00:06:24 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 3:

late on a weekend or whatever it is he does that though like they'll ask to go to the mobile station down the street to get like icies and i'll say no you guys you've eaten crappy all day and then lo and behold nobody's to be found in my house and he's loaded up his truck and took him down the street so that happens all the time yeah i i it's funny because i always thought that

00:06:45 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 2:

Wes was the more responsible

00:06:47 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 3:

one. He is. Except when it comes to wanting to be favorite

00:06:50 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 2:

stepdad. Oh, that's good for him. Hold on a second. I'm going to pick this line up here because it says Wes Whitlam is on the phone. Wes?

00:07:01 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 1:

Hi, guys.

00:07:02 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. I'm assuming

00:07:04 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 3:

you're listening. I got to go to diarrhea right now.

00:07:08 - 00:07:08 | Unknown:

What?

00:07:10 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 2:

Wes? Yes? Are you listening? I just got in my car. So wait, so you just got in the car. So you literally just got in the car. You have no idea what was just said on the radio. No, Lydia called me. Okay, so here's the deal. Shannon, how much do you like us?

00:07:31 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 3:

A lot, I thought.

00:07:32 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 2:

We cannot say anything at all and go on with this and not podcast this segment that Shannon just admitted something on the radio. Or I can be a good friend to Wes and I can tell Wes what just happened.

00:07:45 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 3:

But the past is in the past. It's already cleaned up and good. So why are you trying to create drama?

00:07:51 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 2:

Actually, you know what? Wes, actually, Wes is the first one to reach out to me on my birthday. He sends me a nice... He's such a suck up. You know what? You know this. Yes. I got you. I got you. Wes, Shannon hates your dog. And she fed the dog all the diarrhea food that your dog just diarrhea-ed all over the place.

00:08:13 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 4:

are you kidding not kidding hey shannon how you doing but wes what if i told you it was a way to make willow feel very included in the dog family because her heart was aching so much over the fact that willow could have been left out and felt less loved being the adopted stepchild of one shannon murphy that it resulted in just a little bit of diarrhea for you to clean up and honestly when you weigh the pros and cons just building that relationship between stepmother and stepdaughter uh sorry not stepdaughter stepdog i'm sorry i'm sorry samantha is a real stepdaughter i'm so sorry uh but to build up that relationship is fundamentally important

00:08:55 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 2:

for the running of your household yeah it's also fundamentally important not to feed a dog poison

00:09:01 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 3:

yeah exactly exactly they eat pepperoni it's the same dang thing this is just a fresher version

00:09:09 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 2:

See what happens, Shannon.

00:09:11 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 3:

What did you feed her? Pepperoni from the pizzas.

00:09:16 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. All right.

00:09:19 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 2:

To be fair, have you ever eaten a pepperoni? I don't love this dog or anything. This dog didn't save my life or anything. She's nothing to me, right? Angel wants to say something to Shannon. What's up, Angel?

00:09:34 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 1:

Yes, dogs aren't supposed to have pepperoni. They eat pepperoni. I know. And we gave our dog pepperoni, too, because we had a bunch left. And he, like, something about they can't, like, digest it very good was vomiting all over the place and everything.

00:09:53 - 00:09:53 | Unknown:

Oh, no.

00:09:54 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

I actually just Googled it. Pepperoni is as bad as giving your dog chocolate, and you're not supposed to actually do chocolate.

00:09:59 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Are you serious?

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 6:

I truly did not have any idea. You would never think that. Wes, she's trying to kill your dog.

00:10:06 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 7:

I'm worried about you too, Wes. She's trying to probably kill you too, Wes. Sleep with one eye open.

00:10:13 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 6:

We felt so bad. Holy crap, you're right. I just Googled. I actually feel very terrible right now. I gave it to all three.

00:10:19 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 7:

Wes?

00:10:20 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I know. You would never think because it's just like me.

00:10:23 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 5:

Like, here, take this.

00:10:24 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 7:

by the way by the way wes i would worry about what she's feeding you don't ever take any of her food i didn't know arsenic was bad

00:10:34 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 2:

yeah oh brenda what's up hi brenda pepperoni pepperoni is a terrible trigger for a dog

00:10:43 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 6:

i know about tomatoes chocolate grapes big no-nos i literally did not know about pepperoni until

00:10:51 - 00:10:59 | Speaker 2:

just know pancreatitis is deadly to a dog oh my god terrible shannon let me ask you a question

00:10:59 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 7:

if if uh if the dog died and didn't have diarrhea would you ever tell the story on the air and be

00:11:06 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 6:

oh i wouldn't tell it on the air i would tell it to wes you would you're a liar no i would have to

00:11:11 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 7:

are you kidding me you would oh my god you would take it to your grave there's no way You killed the man's dog, for God's sakes?

00:11:20 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 6:

Oh, wow. I am sweating into my shirt.

00:11:22 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 5:

You remember when Willow had to have surgery?

00:11:24 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, and I took care of her all day.

00:11:26 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, is there a reason why you did? Is there, like, do you want to talk about it now?

00:11:31 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no.

00:11:34 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:11:35 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 6:

I really feel bad. By the way, Wes. Truly, I hope other dog owners who are listening who did not know this, this is your PSA. Because I am learning this today.

00:11:44 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 7:

If anything happens to your dog, autopsy. Or me. Or you.

00:11:51 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 3:
