The World Cup is underway and it's been incredible. On our podcast, The Away End, with Daniel Alarcon and John Green, we're talking about the games that have delighted us, the teams that have inspired us, what we're loving and what surprised us, all through the lens of being massive fans of the world's most beautiful game.

00:00:45 - 00:00:59 | Speaker 2:

Daniel, this tournament has been magical so far. There's so much to love and I can hardly believe the drama that the group stage brought us. And now it's time for us to talk about the teams that are left as the field is whittled down to one World Cup champion on July 19th.

For years, the Unhoused has been presented as a monolith in mainstream media. Weedie Unhoused is a podcast that's changing the narrative. I'm Theo Henderson, and I created this show while I was unhoused on the streets of Los Angeles. We've grown into a two-time Webby Award winning podcast. The only podcast that shares unhoused stories and news from the unhoused perspective. Listen to We The Unhoused on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

00:01:39 - 00:01:53 | Speaker 8:

Today might be an interesting day. Today may be the very first time I have ever done this. And that is, I might for the very first time use my pumpkin spiced dude wipes.

00:01:53 - 00:01:56 | Speaker 5:

Yes! Your dumpkin, it's their dumpkin spice.

00:01:56 - 00:01:59 | Speaker 8:

I think you got me in the face. That was the real pumpkin spice.

00:02:00 - 00:02:05 | Speaker 5:

God bless you. They're not pumpkin spice. What are they? Dumpkin spice. Dumpkin spice.

00:02:05 - 00:02:07 | Speaker 6:

Do they really smell like that?

00:02:07 - 00:02:09 | Speaker 5:

I don't know, I didn't open it. They smell good. Yeah, they do.

00:02:10 - 00:02:18 | Speaker 8:

Shannon bought Kev and Zach and I pumpkin-spiced dude wipes or dumpkin spice.

00:02:18 - 00:02:18 | Speaker 5:

Pooped my pants.

00:02:19 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 8:

Yes. Shannon pooped her pants.

00:02:22 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 5:

I have a story to tell you in a second.

00:02:24 - 00:02:26 | Speaker 8:

Oh, really? Did you? Okay.

00:02:26 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 5:

All right. You need the wipes? Smell my butt. Smell my butt.

00:02:30 - 00:02:41 | Speaker 8:

But actually, after I get done using these pumpkin-spiced dude wipes, Shannon, you can smell and see if they have a nice smell. The dude wife.

00:02:41 - 00:02:42 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I was going to say, clarify.

00:02:43 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 8:

Actually, it will be so apparent because I use so many dude wipes when I do go to the potty. But what do you mean you have a story to tell? What do you have?

00:02:51 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so we were carving pumpkins. We being Wes and myself and our little kids, Lucy and Smith. And my allergies, you guys. Look at my eyes this morning. I can't even open my eyelids all the way. They're so, so bad. For once, I wasn't crying. This is true allergies coming in here. And so we're carving pumpkins and I sneezed. I sneeze like Kev just did. I sneezed real hard. I peed my pants so bad. And I thought we were past this, but apparently we are not. I peed my pants so bad. It wasn't just like a little. I had to go upstairs and take a shower and put on new underwear and pants. I am 41 years old. I really didn't poop. I would admit that to you. But it was like all the pee that I could have peed in the toilet came out.

00:03:44 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but can I tell you, I don't think it's any secret when my catchphrase is F them babies that I have not really ever wanted children. And part of that is because I was like, I'm going to be better than everybody else. I'm going to be able to jump on a trampoline until I'm in my 40s and yada, yada, yada. No, turns out you don't have to have kids to just lose the function in your bladder. I'm just getting older and I'm losing it. And there's not even like, I brought life into the world. Aren't I amazing? I just pee myself because I'm old.

00:04:12 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I did that treatment for that long time to not have this issue anymore. And I don't know if this was such a hearty sneeze that it just went past that or if I need to go in for a little tune up.

00:04:27 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 7:

There is something to it, though, like getting old and like I used to be able to like pee once. and then, like, I'd be good for, like, half the day or something like that. I went to the movies yesterday, had to get up and pee during the film, which I'd never do because who wants to miss a part of the movie? Literally 30 minutes after I peed, I find myself having to use it again.

00:04:49 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 8:

You broke the seal. You can't break the seal. You can't go once. You go once, you got to go a bunch of times. Once that seal is broken. The seal has nothing to do with pee and everything to do with my age.

00:04:59 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 7:

You break the seal.

00:05:00 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 5:

You know how I knew I was getting old? When you have to think about, like, I got to go pee before I go to sleep. Before, you would be younger, you're like, I'll have to pee, I'm going to go to bed. And now it's like, doesn't matter if you have to or not, empty the tank.

00:05:13 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 1:

Well, yesterday during our meeting that we had, I got all excited, I laughed.

00:05:19 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:05:20 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 1:

I laughed, and a fart came out.

00:05:23 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 2:

And then you started.

00:05:25 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 1:

Zach got it right in his face.

00:05:28 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 2:

And you started giggling like Anderson Cooper afterwards. Like, your face was so red, you couldn't stop laughing.

00:05:34 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 1:

By the way, has anybody ever had, okay, if you've experienced any of this, will you share with all of us the moment that you accidentally either peed, pooped, or farted, you know, at moments? And there's nothing worse. If anybody has done the duty, the number two, could you imagine you lose control during a laughter and there comes one uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 you are so true that this does happen to you when you give birth to a baby that is uh the uh i guess what the after effects of having a child or what would it be the uh worse it but very humbling yeah tomorrow like when ladies doodle on theyself when they're giving birth no no no no the p in the part that they lose control of their...

00:06:24 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 2:

Kev, both. Both.

00:06:27 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 1:

Wait, you pooped yourself too with...

00:06:29 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 2:

With Lucy? Yeah.

00:06:30 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Really? What's up, Sarah? Hi. What's going on? Hi. Are you using the right name or are you calling in with a different name? Did you give us an alias? I did. Well, Lydia, do you with me? Okay. All right. No, that's... I understand that this is one of those ones where if you don't want to be called by your name, you can use your initial, too. Hi, alias Sarah. What's up?

00:06:57 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 5:

No, I'm 33, and it happens to me all the time, like more than I would like to admit. So the girls, I understand. Okay, do you have kids? I only have one. I gave birth to one kid. Okay.

00:07:12 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

00:07:13 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 5:

But, like, it was happening before the kid, and then throw the kid in there, and it's much worse.

00:07:19 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 1:

And we're talking just pee-pee?

00:07:22 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 5:

Yep.

00:07:23 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Just pee. Yeah. So it has never come out of any other, you know, you've never had the number two or a fart or anything like that come out. It's just the losing control of, what is it? I remember you used to do the commercials for that.

00:07:38 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Emcella, which, honest to goodness, is amazing, but I haven't gone back to do, they call it a tune-up. I haven't gone back. A tune-up. You're supposed to do that once a year. I probably skipped it for two years. Get it rotated, Shannon. I am in major need. That little sticker with my mileage on it is very overdue.

00:07:57 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 1:

Jay, what's up? How you doing?

00:08:00 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 3:

I'm good. I'm a long-time listener, first-time caller. Hey there. Jay's on the phone. Good morning.

00:08:07 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 1:

How you doing?

00:08:08 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 3:

I'm 50. With that pee thing, it's been happening for 30 years. Yeah. But what really was new to me, when I met my husband, I was sitting on the couch watching TV with my kids, and I had to fart. And I thought, I'll get up, sneak into the bathroom, and nobody will know. I didn't get five feet, and my body just sang this epic song of betrayal. I didn't even know it was possible. All I could do was stand there.

00:08:38 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 1:

Isn't it the worst when you're pulling yourself off of the couch? And as you pull yourself off of the couch, that's when it goes off by accident, right?

00:08:51 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 3:

I got that far, but then I took like three steps and then just let loose. And it was long and loud.

00:08:58 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 1:

In Michigan. Yeah, that is kind of annoying. I've had that numerous times. And then, by the way, after you do it, you go, ooh. What's up, Jade?

00:09:11 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Good morning. Morning. So same thing happened to me about a month ago. I got into a giggling match with my boyfriend in bed and just could not stop pissing myself. I was so embarrassed. Running to the bathroom, still laughing, still peeing. Daughter coming up the stairs, screaming at us about being children. Also, first time, long time. Hey, dad. You know what it's like?

00:09:38 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

It's like a fountain in the center of town. You know what I mean? Like a water fountain just going off. Yeah, that's great. By the way, you know that's when you actually make somebody feel good about the joke that they just told you. When you pee yourself because it's such a good joke. That's the ultimate compliment. I hope that we've made people pee themselves in the past. If we've made you do any other.

00:10:00 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 5:

things we would love to hear that too that would be fun that would be a great hi this is jay from uh sterling heights and mojo in the morning makes me poop myself uh what's up noah hi

00:10:12 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 6:

00:10:37 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 5:

accidental one we're not talking about the one that you need to do just randomly like as you're going i think we've all done that before a pop-tart well have you ever pooped

00:10:47 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 6:

inside of a Pop-Tart box? It was a Dunkin' Donuts box for me.

00:10:50 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 4:

The width isn't there.

00:10:52 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 5:

Let me ask you, was it a full Pop-Tart box afterwards or was it half empty?

00:10:57 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah. Oh, boy. And then I closed it up and put it on the picnic table. Oh, my God.

00:11:04 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 5:

What town is this in so I make sure I don't ever touch a Pop-Tart box?

00:11:09 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 6:

Oh, Belleville.

00:11:09 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 5:

Okay. All right. Well, thank you for the call, Noah. I appreciate it.

00:11:12 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 6:

You're welcome.
