Shannon, I saw you out with the girls this weekend, a little girls weekend. That was fun.

00:02:05 - 00:02:19 | Speaker 6:

We always go to Holland. My girlfriend has a place in Holland, like in between Holland and Saugatuck. So if you saw us walking around the area, this is like a traditional thing that we do every single year. It was so much fun.

00:02:19 - 00:02:19 | Speaker 7:

It was fun.

00:02:19 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 6:

It was really fun. Yeah. We ended up at this place, and if you went to Hope College or if you are from Holland, you know this place called, I think it's called Parrots, but locals refer to it as the Dirty Bird. It is a bar, and it is dirty, very, very dirty. But it was so funny because in college, I'm not like a big drinking game kind of person. Like, I just always wanted to hang out and catch up with my friends and drink. I wasn't one to want to sit down and play a card game or a drinking game or whatever. But there was one game that I was oddly very good at, and it was Flip Cup. And Saturday night at Parrots in Holland, Michigan, I realized I still got it. Really? You're missing a test. Yeah, give her a cup. Now, mind you, Kev, here's the difference. I am extraordinarily sober right now, and I feel like alcohol has something to do with it.

00:03:22 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 7:

Are you turning down a challenge?

00:03:23 - 00:03:28 | Speaker 6:

No, I'll do it, but I'm telling you I'm better at it when I'm having a cocktail.

00:03:29 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, just one cup. Let me see you just one.

00:03:31 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 6:

Okay, so do you guys, so we were... Wait, what'd you say?

00:03:37 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah, she got on the first one. Chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug. Wow, she's super tuned. Chug, chug, chug, chug, chug. We got Jake Bates over here. Wow.

00:03:51 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 8:

That is actually pretty good.

00:03:53 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 6:

Killed it. I was texting all my college girlfriends. I was like, guys, look at this video of me. Killed it.

00:03:59 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 8:

You say you didn't do these.

00:04:01 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 6:

I am not good at anything. I am not athletic. This is my one claim to fame flip cup.

00:04:08 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 8:

Pick me for your team. Quick question for you. You can't do quarters or you can't do...

00:04:13 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 6:

No, we played beer pong. Actually, I was okay at beer pong on Saturday.

00:04:18 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 8:

Are you good at pickleball? Can you do pickleball?

00:04:20 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 6:

I'm not that great at pickleball. I just learned how to play this summer. No.

00:04:23 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 8:

No? That's pretty good. By the way, that's when you know you feel good about yourself. And then what happens afterwards when you realize that you are good at flip cup? Then you want to play it all the time. Or you're good at anything, right? Like if you go, this is great. I can actually do this thing.

00:04:40 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 6:

All my girlfriends, my girlfriends from college, and I went to Butler in Indianapolis, they're like, I'm watching these videos and I can smell the teak basement, like the fraternity that we always hung out at. I'm like, yep, that's what it smells like.

00:04:51 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 8:

What was inside, so was it just beer or did you guys do anything special at all? Did you guys do anything harder?

00:04:56 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

It was just beer. Unfortunately, the owner of the bar, Bob,

00:05:00 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 4:

Did not like us We were the only ones in the bar And he was just So we just had beer Bob didn't want to turn on the music Or the dance lights Or anything He wouldn't let us turn up the touch tunes So you know what We ended up leaving

00:05:18 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 3:

Bob thought when he saw You know how many Seven, eight people Eight 40 year old women walking in He thought this is going to be a nice night And then Flip Cup came out. Well, let me tell you something. And then it was.

00:05:32 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 4:

Bob was going to have a very silent night because there was nobody in there until he walked in there.

00:05:37 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 3:

And then all of a sudden, poor Bobby. Bobby had to deal with the cleanup of this stuff, huh? Yeah.

00:05:43 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 4:

God, I love this song.

00:05:45 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 3:

What is your drinking game? I'd love to know. And I'd love to know if you are the champion of your town in whatever that drinking game is. I always ask my son, like, what are some of the new drinking games? because I want to see if they've started some new drinking games. They've got some crazy ones. There's a keg drinking game that is like nuts, and it's not keg stands, but it's like a keg drinking game where they hang the keg from the actual center of the frat house. What? It's almost like a pinata or something.

00:06:14 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 1:

I'd fill you up. Let's have a party. Let's have a party.

00:06:20 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 3:

844 Mojo Live, 844-665-6548. Hey, do we have any moms driving their kids to school or about to drive their kids to school that would like to shout out what they were like in college? Because I bet your kids would be shocked if they heard that you were somebody that was pretty good at something like this.

00:06:38 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 4:

Well, okay.

00:06:40 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:06:41 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 4:

Their stout mom was so good at something. Stout mom.

00:06:44 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 3:

But you have to understand something, stout mom. The thing that you understand, you hide a lot of this stuff from your kids until your kids go away to college.

00:06:56 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 4:

And you come for a parent's weekend and then you blow them out of the water.

00:06:59 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 3:

Exactly. Until you do a keg stand in East Lansing with your kid watching you going, come on, Dad, get down from there. What's going on, Jackie? How are you?

00:07:09 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 5:

Good morning, y'all.

00:07:11 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 3:

What's up, y'all? Where are you calling us from, y'all?

00:07:14 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 5:

I'm calling from Farmington.

00:07:16 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I love that. I love my y'alls in Farmington.

00:07:21 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, are you guys still in Farmington Hills?

00:07:23 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 3:

We're moving. We're moving. Tomorrow's our last day in Farmington Hills. The only thing that will get me to Farmington Hills anymore will be my doctor, Dr. Werner. But, yeah, we're going to miss you guys. Although, it's not like we're going to be very far. We're just downtown Detroit. What is that noise? Are you there? Did we lose you?

00:07:43 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 2:

She goes.

00:07:44 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 3:

Are you there? Are you there, Jackie?

00:07:50 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Jackie. There is no way. Hi, I'm here.

00:07:55 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 3:

Yes, there's no way that you're good at any drinking game. You're not even good at your Bluetooth.

00:07:59 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 5:

No, my Bluetooth dropped out for a second. Sorry about that. No, I used to play the quarter bounce game back in the day. Okay. What is that?

00:08:07 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 3:

Quarters. Yeah, did you ever do that at all? No, what's the quarter bounce? So you bounce quarters into it, and if you get it into it, you get to call who you want to drink.

00:08:15 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 2:

You have to just, like, the cup is on the table. I just got to bounce it off the table?

00:08:19 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 3:

You just bounce it on the table and bounce it into the cup if you can get it into the cup. Yeah.

00:08:23 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 2:

Maybe.

00:08:24 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes you can do it in any kind of glass. Shot glass is tougher. But what's up, Brandy? How you doing?

00:08:31 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 6:

Hi. I was just calling to say that I won beer pong the first time I ever played it. I think it was probably because I was also drunk. I don't have good aim. It does help you out a little bit.

00:08:44 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 3:

And now what are you doing? Now are you a mom of kids?

00:08:49 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 6:

Well, I was a mom then. Get it, girl.

00:08:53 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 3:

I love it. I love it. So do your kids ever watch you do this? Like, do you guys ever do this when you're at friends' houses and your kids are playing, you know, and they're all group and you guys are in the kitchen doing your drinking games?

00:09:06 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 6:

I don't drink anymore.

00:09:09 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 3:

I think you should do this on Thanksgiving with your kids. You can have them drink like Welsh's juice. Oh, that sparkling grape juice is amazing. Sparkling grape juice, yeah. It is funny, by the way, that there are some people that think that when you do things like this with your kids, it is going to encourage them to just drink. Yeah. And I'm like, okay. No. You know, what's wrong with that? We're not judging. What's up, Jay? How you doing? Here. Good morning. What's going on, buddy? Not much, not much. I got to dump that. I love him. We got Jay on the phone, and Jay, you can say be us, not that, because we can't say that on the radio. Or bull spit. You can say bull spit. Explain bull spit. He said spit.

00:10:00 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 2:

Yes? Basically, it's a little complicated, but the basic idea is to lie and be the last one to not have cards.

00:10:10 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 1:

Oh.

00:10:10 - 00:10:11 | Speaker 5:

Haven't you guys ever played? Yeah.

00:10:12 - 00:10:12 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:10:12 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 1:

I've never played Bullspit. Oh, no. No. It's pretty fun. So you're playing with a deck of cards and you have to lie about what your card is?

00:10:21 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 2:

Yes, basically. Oh. And if someone touches you, if someone thinks you're lying, they can call bull spit, and then you'll have to pick up all the cards in the deck. Okay.

00:10:31 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 7:

See, those are the kind of games I'm like, mm, mm, rr, rr, like, so boring. I want to dance and be up. Just get me right to the bottle. Just, but, like, if I sit down and I'm drinking, you want to know what's going to happen? I'm going to fall asleep. You, exactly.

00:10:45 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 1:

Really? Out of here.

00:10:46 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 6:

Yes. Okay, because me and Euchre.

00:10:48 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 1:

Euchre is a big one?

00:10:49 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 6:

Fam, I will get.

00:10:50 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 1:

You make Euchre a drinking game?

00:10:51 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 6:

Oh, heck yeah.

00:10:52 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 1:

Really?

00:10:52 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 6:

Heck yeah? If there's money on the line, I got to drink or I'm too nervous.

00:10:55 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 1:

Do you guys know these? Do you guys know Waterfall? I've never heard of Waterfall. Boom Cup. What is the difference between Boom Cup and Flip Cup? Are we lighting it with fireworks? I like that. Patriots, or Parrots is nasty. Yes. What's that? I've never played that.

00:11:11 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 7:

The bar. The bar that we were at.

00:11:14 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Parrots is nasty. Oh, I thought that was a drinking game. So, Parrots is the place that you guys were at. Yeah. Well, you know what?

00:11:21 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 6:

Do you know my favorite? Good old dive. My favorite drinking game? Yeah. Do you guys ever do Thunderstruck? Oh, I have played Thunderstruck before, yeah. Thunderstruck is not a hard game. You play the song Thunderstruck.

00:11:34 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:11:34 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 6:

And you form a circle, and the first person starts drinking. And every time thunder happens, the next person starts drinking. Oh, really? But there's a person that will get stuck with, I think it's like a minute and ten seconds in between thunder. And everybody knows when that part's coming. And so if you're that person, people will throw beers at you, and you'll have to chug like three beers.

00:11:56 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 1:

But if you're a person that doesn't know the song, like me, it would probably throw them off. Should I pull the bottle out for Kevin?

00:12:01 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 6:

It's too early, bro. One of my favorite weddings I ever went to, this is how they get people onto the dance floor after the first dance. They got everybody on, and then we played Thunderstruck, and then everybody stayed on the dance floor. It was the best.

00:12:15 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 1:

I just want to throw a bunch of alcohol at Kevin. We do have to play this. We do got to have a wild drinking night game. How about this? We got a, well, let's do a drinking night before the end of the show. We got a bunch of alcohol that we don't want to move with us to the new studio. KP, have you ever played the game I just came in at the end of the conversation? Hey, what you guys talking about?

00:12:34 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 5:

Have you guys ever played the game I'm producing your show behind the scenes? I'm coming in because I have to say, beer darts is the most fun. Have you ever played beer darts? I've never played beer darts. You literally have darts like you throw into a dartboard, and you have to hit somebody's beer can on the ground, and the problem is, sometimes you hit their feet and it's terrible. But when it's so fun, it adds that element of thrill. The element of a hospital, though.

00:13:00 - 00:13:06 | Speaker 1:

That game makes me want to play, just because I just want to see anything that's violent is kind of fun.

00:13:07 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 6:

Dude, I don't have the health insurance for that game.

00:13:11 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 5:

Anyway, continue your show. Sorry.

00:13:13 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 1:

No, no, no. Hello, what's going on? How you doing, Brian?

00:13:17 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 4:

Good, how are you?

00:13:18 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 1:

Good, what's up?

00:13:20 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 4:

I was just, Shannon, I hate parrots, and I was so glad to hear you talk, grab a bottle.

00:13:28 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 7:

Well, it could have been fun. Unfortunately, the owner was just not in the mood for eight moms that were drinking.

00:13:36 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 4:

That place is a dump at all times.

00:13:38 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 1:

That's mean. Come on, it's the pride of-

00:13:41 - 00:13:43 | Speaker 7:

It could have been very fun. They had a dance floor.

00:13:43 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. What's up, Ben?

00:13:46 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 4:

Hey, long time, first time.

00:13:47 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 1:

Hey, buddy.

00:13:48 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 4:

Beards on the phone.

00:13:50 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 1:

That's what we should play as a drinking game. Whenever we get a long time, first time, we have to all take a drink. I like that. What's going on?

00:13:55 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 3:

I like that. Yeah, we used to play chandelier.

00:13:59 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 7:

What's that?

00:14:01 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 3:

You take a 32-ounce cup, you put it in the middle, and then you put Dixie cups all the way around it, and then you take one quarter and you pass it around like clockwise, and if the quarter gets in the little cup, that person has to drink his beer. If the quarter gets in the big 32-ounce cup, everybody drinks their beer. The last person to drop its can down has to drink the 32-ounce beer.

00:14:20 - 00:14:27 | Speaker 1:

Oh, lordy. That, by the way, sounds like a night that would be with you for the next week or so.

00:14:28 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 6:

Oh, that was me and every 40 hands. Does it?

00:14:31 - 00:14:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Man. What kind of beer are we talking to, by the way? Because with these games, you cannot use good beer. You've got to use bad beer.

00:14:39 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 3:

Premium beer. Bush Light. Oh, good.

00:14:42 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 1:

I like it. What's going on? How you doing, Heidi?

00:14:46 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 6:

Hey. Good morning.

00:14:48 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 1:

What's up?

00:14:49 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 6:

Well, we used to play this game called Crossfire, and it was with cards, and it was a deck of cards, and it didn't matter how many games you played, but you, like.

00:15:00 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 2:

Like, instead of just dealing out the cards, you just kind of dropped them. Like, you could give whoever you wanted as many cards as possible. And then you played in between. Like, let's say the Ace of Spades started, and you went to the person to the left of you. And if they had an Ace, they could lay it down. They were caught in the crossfire, and they would have to drink. So the person on the other side, if they had an Ace, they would throw that too. So you were caught in the crossfire. and you just kept throwing cards that you were hoping that person didn't have, oh, my gosh, you would get rocked.

00:15:34 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 1:

Really? When you explain this to people, you have to explain it to them when they're sober, don't you? Because anytime you have a drinking game, it's got to be, if it's got that many layers to it, I feel like drunk people can't figure it out. I thought you were going to hit that nerd. Well, there's nothing nerdy about a drinking game, but some of the drinking games become complicated. If I had one that said, complicated? I ought to be like, bro, we're the flip cup.

00:16:02 - 00:16:03 | Speaker 4:

We're the cups in.

00:16:03 - 00:16:05 | Speaker 1:

Rachel, what's your drinking game?

00:16:06 - 00:16:14 | Speaker 4:

Well, it's not a specific drinking game, but I was a rock star at Guitar Hero. I would draw a crowd.

00:16:14 - 00:16:25 | Speaker 1:

Wait. I would draw a crowd. So if people are there all hanging out at your party, you just all of a sudden put Guitar Hero on and start playing?

00:16:25 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 4:

Not like currently This is a long time ago I understand

00:16:29 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 1:

But that would be kind of weird Like if all of a sudden Somebody in the middle of the party Just starts playing

00:16:35 - 00:16:46 | Speaker 3:

You know what this party needs Me and my band And when you're drinking And we say You gotta try this And nobody can do it And then up comes me

00:16:46 - 00:16:48 | Speaker 1:

And then you're good What's your guitar hero song

00:16:48 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 3:

Up comes me ACDC

00:16:51 - 00:16:56 | Speaker 1:

You shook me all night long What's up, Patricia?

00:16:57 - 00:16:58 | Speaker 6:

Hey.

00:16:58 - 00:16:59 | Speaker 1:

Hi.

00:17:00 - 00:17:00 | Speaker 6:

How you doing?

00:17:01 - 00:17:04 | Speaker 1:

We're doing okay. By the way, I'm noticing a pattern here, though.

00:17:05 - 00:17:07 | Unknown:

I'm sorry. Y'all caught me off guard.

00:17:08 - 00:17:10 | Speaker 1:

How did we catch you off guard? You called us. What's going on?

00:17:12 - 00:17:17 | Speaker 6:

I know. It's too early for all of you. I know. It's been so early.

00:17:17 - 00:17:21 | Speaker 1:

It's early to talk about drinking games, but what was your drinking game?

00:17:21 - 00:17:22 | Speaker 6:

Red or black.

00:17:23 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 1:

Red or black. Explain that to us.

00:17:25 - 00:17:35 | Speaker 6:

Okay, you get a deck of cards, a deck of playing cards. You keep them all together. You ask the person, red or black. If they say red and the card is black, they got to take a shot.

00:17:35 - 00:17:39 | Speaker 1:

See, now that's an easy drinking game. You're going to play a drinking game with cards.

00:17:39 - 00:17:52 | Speaker 6:

But again, just let me drink my drink. No, that'll get you bullet. I don't want to be told. That'll get you bullets. No, no, no, no. If you pick red and it's black, no, if you pick red and it's a red card, you get to pick who you want to take a shot.

00:17:52 - 00:17:57 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay, so you can actually bully your friends into getting drunk. I love that. What's up?

00:17:57 - 00:18:02 | Speaker 3:

I love that it's a shot, too, and not a drink. I know y'all are hammered in 20 minutes.

00:18:02 - 00:18:03 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Marina?

00:18:05 - 00:18:07 | Speaker 3:

Hi. First time, long time.

00:18:07 - 00:18:14 | Speaker 5:

Hey there. Yeah, Marina's on the phone. All right, so we used to play a game called Presidents and A-Holes.

00:18:14 - 00:18:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Presidents and A-Holes.

00:18:17 - 00:18:17 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:18:18 - 00:18:21 | Speaker 1:

Shannon knows all these drinking games. She said she never played drinking games in college.

00:18:21 - 00:18:24 | Speaker 5:

I always liked to play. No, I said I didn't love playing drinking games. Oh, okay.

00:18:25 - 00:18:26 | Speaker 1:

All right, because I never heard of that one.

00:18:26 - 00:18:29 | Speaker 5:

You could put the beer box on your head if you were the a-hole.

00:18:30 - 00:18:33 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right.

00:18:33 - 00:18:45 | Speaker 5:

So the object of the game is to run out of all your cards, and then if you lose, you are the a-hole, and the president can tell you what to do, and we would make the person put the empty beer box over their head.

00:18:45 - 00:19:04 | Speaker 1:

All right. That sounds scandalous. Are they clothed? They're not clothed. when they're doing this well it's the president's choice oh geez okay that's where that's where this gets a little sketchy uh last one eric what's yours eric hey good morning yeah uh kp we had uh

00:19:04 - 00:19:51 | Speaker 7:

i was up north with family uh we were playing beer darts as well which is an amazing game but sketchy as well as you get drinking uh and we had uh come got down to a few people and uh the person And throwing was not across from me. They actually happened to be a few rows down. For anybody who has played would know what I mean. And so when they went and threw the dart, it was pitch black at about 11 o'clock. And we had just headlights from the cars on to see. They threw the dart. And unfortunately, it was quite an aggressive throw. And actually, I had to stand up and back up. And it kind of got me in the crotch area. And luckily, with my pants, the pants stretched, and it saved me from probably puncturing my growing area. Oh, my God.

00:19:51 - 00:19:58 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. You almost punctured your privates playing a game, a drinking game. Yeah.

00:19:58 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 3:

Not good.

00:20:00 - 00:20:13 | Speaker 2:

good but thank god for the pants thank god for those those uh levi's that you were wearing that night yes by the way that would be amazing i wonder we should that should have been the topic the topic should have been how many people have had to go to the emergency room after a drinking
