shannon had something happen to her yesterday when you were at walmart and you got in line and you got behind somebody that was taking a little bit of time uh so i got in line behind the sweetest

woman who was almost done it i was in a regular line i wasn't in one of the self checkouts so um the cash ear was almost done checking her out and this sweet woman in front of me you could tell she was just having a day and i say that because i noticed that like here i am scrolling through Instagram, but I'm kind of like watching what's happening in front of me. Every card that she had tried from her wallet was not going through. And I don't know if it was an issue of like the card was getting declined or I heard the cash, the cashier say to her at one point, like, no, we don't have tap on these. So you can't tap. So this woman would like take out another card and try that. And it, this just like kept going on and on and on for a couple of minutes. And it's not like I was in a hurry, so I didn't care. But my heart, I felt so freaking bad for her as this is happening. So I'm thinking to myself, all right, I'm just going to take a few steps forward and swipe my own card and pay her bill for her. So I take a step over to see what her total was on the screen. And it was $172.36.

That's a lot of money.

And I was like, hold on. oh god so i'm thinking okay i feel really bad like my heart is going out to her and i'm contemplating this in my head i'm like shannon it is holy week like you should be doing something

nice but that's the 180 dollars is a lot of money let me tell you oh my god if i did something nice for her like that i need somebody to do something nice for me like fill up my gas tank when i run out of gas because i'm not going to be able to afford it i don't even have close to that

this story and i'm like describing what happened he made me feel even worse than i already felt because he's like, I can remember when, you know, we would go grocery shopping with my mom and I was always the one that she would say, Wes, honey, we don't have enough. Like you have to go put this back. And he's like, what if that were, Oh my God. Did you feel bad? I felt so bad. And I'm like, but her card worked. The last card worked, you know, but what would you have done

in that situation? That's a lot of money. So I have had that situation happen to me and had it happen at a target same situation the woman's card wasn't working and she had no other cards so this was multiple stuff stuff stuff fell out of her wallet she said and she kind of like had this whole story oh my god i can't believe it and i looked at her and she seemed like a very nice lady and she was going through the whole thing and whatever and i did it and it was You a decent amount of money. It was close to six figures, not over six figures. Six figures? Or three figures, I guess. Not six figures.

Close to $100. Six figures.

I was like, Jesus, you are very generous. I have a credit card limit of over $600,000 on my credit card. Do you?

I got my Amex black card there, so I pulled it out. No. Let me tell you my bad thoughts on this one. so i did i did it she was very sweet the lady behind the the target lady was so nice the target lady she got a bunch of uh i guess free gift cards gave me the gift cards from her sale because i paid for it and then used them towards my sale which was cool that was really nice because she had some target gift cards she said how great everything was it was awesome i felt really good i felt like i did a good deed nice lady had now you're making me feel bad i walked out my husband No, no, no, wait. I walked out into the parking lot. I'm pushing my cart, and I'm thinking to myself, I'm going to heaven. I don't care what any listener says about me. And I'm pushing the cart to the thing, and all of a sudden this car drives by, waves, and says thank you, and the woman's in a frickin' Mercedes-Benz. And I am driving my Tahoe, my Chevy Tahoe, which is a nice car, but it ain't a Mercedes-Benz.

Still a nice thing.

And I'm thinking to myself, I am a sap. I am at whatever, but I, I have the means I was able to do it, but I will say this to Wes. I think Wes experiencing that and as kids and stuff like that, you know, we, we, we were blessed. My dad, you know, did well, but I went off on my own when I was young and I didn't have much and I lived paycheck to paycheck. Chelsea and I, when we first started off, same situation, we lived paycheck to paycheck. I will tell you, I agree with Wes on this, but I also say that you at least made the attempt and thank God her card worked.

I didn't, I wouldn't even give myself that much. I didn't make an attempt. I thought in my head, oh, you need to pay her bill. And then when I saw the total, I was like, but do I?

So we're at target and the woman in front of us, she had a little girl with her and little girls eating an apple. She had a couple of boxes of diapers, some wipes, a bunch of stuff. And I think, honestly, your attempt should give you something. The fact that you would at least have that. Because nine out of ten people would have said, damn it, I'm being late. Hurry up.
