You're a doo-doo hat.

00:02:08 - 00:02:10 | Unknown:

Let's go. It's showtime.

00:02:11 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 7:

Good morning, and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Coming up here in just the next, I say, like, next 30 minutes. Let's just preview the next 30 minutes, because that's all I'm asking you. I'm asking you to stay with us for just 30 more minutes. I don't care what you got going on. I promise you, we'll make it worth your while. In just a second, in the same vein as the last War of the Roses, Shannon has an issue with her husband's new job. She'll talk about that. Kevin, with that's bad friend form, he saw something when he was at the Pistons game that he wants to bring up.

00:02:51 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 4:

Come on, man.

00:02:51 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 7:

And then speaking of the horrible times that we've had here in Detroit over the last, I don't know, 72 hours, the Lions made me cry. Did anybody ball crying or know somebody that did when the Lions lost on Saturday night other than Dan Campbell? We're going to talk about that coming up here in the next 30 minutes. So that's all on the way in the next 30 minutes. Am I the A-Holes in an hour from now? uh stick around uh for that it's mojo in the morning show so shannon your husband started a new job and you say that that job has now made you a little jealous i feel like this makes me

00:03:35 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 1:

sound kind of crazy which my yeah but i but i don't think that this is uncommon so um this has definitely been an issue in my house for the past two weeks because that's how long he's had this job so I think he's going on week three if I'm if I'm thinking about this correctly first off I have to say Wes is in love with his new job which really does make me so happy he feels like he is valued he loves his team he loves the work that he's doing he loves he loves like his vision that he has for the company and what he can do for the company and so as his wife I am very excited and very happy and very proud of him that's awesome but it is awesome um but if i am as a guy every

00:04:18 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 7:

guy would and i love when chelsea tells me like i'm proud of you or i'm happy for it and i am so damn proud of him there's something about that like it may you understand when you tell him that that makes him probably go to work going man this is awesome i got a wife at home supporting me and

00:04:33 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 1:

to see him come home and he's happy like he's so and i haven't in in all in the years that i have dated and been married to him I haven't seen that um and so it I feel like that was part of the reason that I had kept this in for a little while because I see his happiness and I am proud but I was wrestling with this part of me that it was that is

00:05:00 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 2:

like kind of jealous and nervous about this new job. And for a lot of reasons, selfishly, he's not as available as he was when he was working remotely. Hate that. Because his other job and what I've been used to since we started dating was Wes being available to text or to call or to go out to lunch all day long. Well, that's changed because now he's in the office and he's in meetings. And so like I'll send him a text and sometimes he'll go hours without responding to me. And he's like, Shan, I literally had like back to back meetings. And I, I, I have to understand that that's normal. Right.

00:05:34 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 3:

But I was not used to it. I have two friends that went back to the office and it is wild how different your relationship becomes when you don't have that accessibility to them all the time. So I can't imagine being married to that person.

00:05:45 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. It's just, that was different. And then just people in general, and I have admitted before, and I am admitting again, I am a very jealous, nervous person when it comes to specifically other women that I don't know or have not met yet. And so in my head, like he's talking about all these people that he's working with and I am creating situations that I am blowing out of proportion day after day after day and taking them out on Wes when literally nothing has happened for no reason. And so I think he could kind of feel that tension and so the other night I finally admitted to him like all of these thoughts and all of the things that I was fearful of and we had a great conversation about it but he was like instead of being a jerk to me and making up and blowing out of proportion these situations in your head like please and it was such a lesson learned for me like please just come to me and be vulnerable and open about the way that you're feeling can I ask a question that

00:06:50 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 3:

i really want you to be honest about though yeah is west jealous of me around here i'm sorry well my heart's broken i wish him the worst

00:07:03 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 2:

but it's been a thing it's just it's just a thing and i and i think mojo you've admitted too like you can be a jealous person and i man it was like wrecking me and i don't know like there was nothing that happened there was no like none of it um and i felt better after i met everybody because i did meet the majority or like a good chunk of his team i have like dry mouth that's how nervous i am talking about this um i i met the majority of his team at the auto show when we went to the charity preview yeah and it was better to like get to talk to everybody and like get to know

00:07:39 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 1:

everybody and meet everybody like that made me feel better um it's funny first off i uh my buddy chris tobaya was telling me that he knows wes's uh boss uh really well and he says that it's like the greatest group of people ever so i don't and i don't know uh i don't know you know what even wes does because we think that wes is jason born m6 but but he is he is in good hands because if chris tobaya says that they're great people then they're great people because chris tobaya is a great person um so that's cool uh but i i am a jealous person just like you are shannon and it's funny because here we are in an occupation where you think our spouses would be jealous because we get you know a lot of times people saying nice things about us certainly not well shannon and i do so and kevin no megan you are dude too um but it's a jealous occupation but it's funny when we're jealous because it's it almost shows you the insecurities that we all have and i have so

00:08:39 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 2:

many insecurities and then and mojo that was part of our conversation that we had was he was like do you even understand like what how it is being me with with you as my wife like it it it's so hard and so it was it was a really good discussion um i felt and i still feel stupid about it but

00:08:59 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 4:

it's truly how i feel i think anytime you are married or you're in a relationship with somebody that you really care for and you really see their value and you're in love with that person, that's something that you don't want anybody else to see. You know what I mean? And you feel super protective of that.

00:09:16 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 2:

I am so overprotective.

00:09:17 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:09:18 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 2:

I am.

00:09:19 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 1:

And I think we project a little bit too sometimes. That's what I was doing. Yeah.

00:09:22 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 2:

That's exactly what I was doing.

00:09:24 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 1:

Real quick, and I love people are calling with advice. I'm going to grab those. I want people who are jealous of their spouse's occupation to call us up. I want you to call us up and I want you to tell us what does your spouse do and why are you jealous of their occupation? And then secondly, Chris Tobiah, if you can call Wes's boss, and I would like to find out how hot the girls are that work at Wes's boss, I'd like to see what they look like, too. Sorry, Chelsea, I'm just kidding when I say that. That's a joke. That's a radio joke.

00:09:51 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 3:

But to your point, I actually think there are some careers that I would say are off the table for dating because of this. Oh, yeah.

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Like, I had a buddy, the Manic Hispanic.

00:10:00 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 2:

James Rivas, the Manic Hispanic. He's not known in Phoenix. I worked with him in Tucson. He dated a stripper from 10 Strip Club. I never could understand dating a stripper. Like, to me, and he would, like, bring her dinner at the strip club, and she'd meet him in the back parking lot. I'm, like, going, you're crazy that you date a stripper.

00:10:18 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 5:

I, weirdly enough, don't find that problematic or, like, a deal breaker because I don't think she feels like, oh, my God, these guys love me. It's more like, all right, I'll take your money.

00:10:28 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 2:

What occupation would be then jealous for you?

00:10:31 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 5:

Like, what would make you jealous? Pilots.

00:10:33 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Really?

00:10:34 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 5:

I would never date a pilot.

00:10:35 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:10:36 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 5:

Actually, I'm with you. Yeah, they cheat all the time.

00:10:38 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 3:

My mind would be going a million miles per hour all the time. For sure.

00:10:42 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 2:

Stroop Club's got the best food, though. Why was he bringing her dinner? Because I don't think that they like to eat the steak there all the time.

00:10:47 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 3:

I love that he's trying to poke holes in this story.

00:10:50 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 2:

Like, the lamb chops I've heard are delicious. Is it Carlos there with us? Hi, Carlos. Hey, hey, guys. Hello? Hey, what's going on? You wanted to say something to Shannon. I want to make sure I pick you up.

00:11:03 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. You know, our imagination can destroy relationships and marriages, our imagination. But as long as you keep great communication with us and you make sure you guys are always baking cookies, you'll never feel threatened. You'll never feel threatened about these women that you don't know or that he's with at work. Keep communication and keep baking cookies.

00:11:25 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 3:

Yes. And like I said, it's a huge lesson learned for me because I do tend to keep things in. But then like it's like a snowball that turns into an avalanche in my brain. You know.

00:11:36 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 2:

So as long as Wes is getting getting a little loving every now and again. Meet him in the parking lot of this new place. No. Do you know where, by the way, where is this place? Is it a place that has like good, good sexy parking lots?

00:11:52 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 3:

I have not been to the new office but I know exactly where it is I don't know that I would call the parking lot sexy but it's a parking lot

00:12:00 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 2:

I was trying to explain to Chelsea how different the places that we work in a parking lot we work in

00:12:04 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 3:

our parking lot is not sexy parking lot

00:12:06 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 2:

there's nothing sexy I told her I said there's like meat packing

00:12:09 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 3:

there's a slaughterhouse right across the street

00:12:10 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 2:

I said it would not be romantic

00:12:13 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 5:

chains and whips excite me was a very popular song

00:12:17 - 00:12:28 | Speaker 2:

Amanda what's going on Amanda hi Amanda you're there hold on let me get you Amanda there you go hello good morning hi what's

00:12:28 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 4:

going on hello um Shannon I completely get what you're saying my boyfriend is a tattoo artist and so I had to become very comfortable with him potentially seeing women in very you know revealing ways oh yeah um and communication is huge um i told him from the beginning hey um past insecurities i'm working on if you could show me some grace and help me through it i'll be asking questions um i'll just you know i'll just need a little reassurance i guess

00:13:05 - 00:13:20 | Speaker 2:

and he's been completely wonderful about it here's a question to ask you uh if he does a tattoo and it's in an intimate spot on a female does he have to tell you ahead of time that he has done

00:13:20 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 4:

that heck absolutely not no i don't care um he does pretty much tell me like you know it's it's his work day so hey how's work going it's good i tattooed this and he'll send me a picture um but then at the end of the day i had i'm sorry what's the one spot though that you

00:13:39 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 2:

get a little worked up at that he's done it i don't i told him it does i don't because at the

00:13:45 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 4:

end of the day this mindset switch those girls their tattoos are paying for what i want exactly they're paying for my date night they're paying for my dinners then tell me what's the i just

00:13:54 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 2:

want to know where's the most interesting spot that he's tattooed on a on a person's body

00:13:59 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 4:

there really hasn't been anything super crazy not since we've been together it's all just With the normal hands, necks. I wouldn't tell her either. No, he'll tell me.

00:14:10 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 5:

No, they want to brag about it because it is wild.

00:14:13 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 4:

Not to your girl, though. And his art, his work is stunning. I would love to tell you his name, but I don't want to do that without his permission. His work is stunning. Absolutely beautiful. Has he ever texted you? He put it on a girl's butt, and I don't care.

00:14:28 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 5:

Has he ever texted you a picture and been like, this idea was terrible. This is the ugliest thing I've ever tattooed.

00:14:34 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 4:

I guarantee you. piece he just did like two days ago um the style but it was oh sorry sorry sorry sorry my bad it's okay we caught you that's okay okay cool okay so it was a nicely done piece but yeah all right we

00:14:49 - 00:15:02 | Speaker 2:

talk about him thank you for the uh the call we appreciate it um off the air text us where what his name is uh ari what's up it's mojo in the morning shannon just You

00:15:00 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 1:

told us that she gets a little jealous of Wes's new job. What's going on?

00:15:06 - 00:15:26 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, guys. Morning. My husband owns a parking lot and he always gets to be at the tailgating events and doing all the things and I just get so mad because I'm just at home and I want to do stuff and he's really a homebody. It's like if you're a homebody but you get to be at the events, that's not fair.

00:15:26 - 00:15:28 | Speaker 1:

Oh, so you get jealous not of

00:15:28 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 3:

women that he's jealous of fun yeah yes yes because i know they're not working that whole

00:15:34 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 1:

time that's interesting that you say that because i wonder how many times that there are people that are jealous of the fact that their spouse gets to go out and about doing things like kev would be somebody i'd be wondering would be a jealous uh thing because he's always doing events

00:15:49 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 4:

so i've had conversations oh boy all right i've had those conversations until that partner goes out to the events with me and they go never mind yeah i mean i'll tell you our pajama parties were

00:16:01 - 00:16:17 | Speaker 1:

not the greatest back in the day those were always those were always not very fun things for spouses to have to go you know know that we were going to although if they go to them they realize they almost become more work for us than they are fun for us you know to do some of those

00:16:17 - 00:17:42 | Speaker 2:

events yeah um mandy what's up mandy hi yes um long time listener first time caller yeah so i wanted to comment on the um job thing so my fiance he's a bank executive for a very well-known bank and he's only 38 years old so he's way ahead of his time um he and i work in a doctor's office i'm a practice manager and so we both have very very good jobs um but the reason i'm jealous is because and i don't know if you guys know anything about the banking industry but they get like so many holidays off for once they get so much time off and you know the doctor's office doesn't close for anybody we always got six sick people. So we always got to take care of business. But aside from that, he gets to work remote whenever he chooses to. So that's another jealous thing because I'm in the office straight eight to five every day, Monday through Friday. He also gets paid like double what I get paid, but I do a ton more work than he does. So that's the big jealousy there. Aside from that, I'm really happy for him. I'm proud of him. He's come a long way. And we're both doing great.

00:17:42 - 00:18:07 | Speaker 1:

My favorite is that you've just listed five things that you're jealous of. But aside from that. But it's great. I like how you're talking. It's almost like you're trying to convince yourself that everything is really good. That I really enjoy it. Thank you for the call. Thank you for the call. And bankers hours are truly a thing there. Lindsay, I could be, this would make me jealous. I don't know if I could deal with it if my spouse did this as their occupation. Lindsay, what does yours do?

00:18:08 - 00:18:09 | Speaker 5:

Mine is a personal trainer.

00:18:10 - 00:18:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, there's no way.

00:18:12 - 00:18:14 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it can be really tough.

00:18:15 - 00:18:20 | Speaker 1:

Do you think he gets a little close with the people that he trains?

00:18:20 - 00:18:36 | Speaker 5:

I mean, yeah, I mean, it's part of the job. It's just something that I try not to think about. I listen to, you know, some of his stories. You know, it's work day, but I just ask him not to share, you know, too many details. Can I ask a question, though?

00:18:37 - 00:18:45 | Speaker 4:

Who can afford personal training other than old people? Anyways, you would be surprised. How about rich girls from Boyfield Mills?

00:18:45 - 00:18:47 | Speaker 5:

I was just going to say, yep, it's the rich girls.

00:18:47 - 00:18:58 | Speaker 4:

Girl, get on YouTube and follow a video online. Who is paying for a trainer in today's day and age? I hear you. Girl, I hear you. Have you seen The Price of Groceries?

00:18:59 - 00:19:08 | Speaker 1:

Lindsay, let me ask you. When you tell him you don't want to hear stories, you hear stories. What's the worst story that really bothered you the most?

00:19:09 - 00:19:24 | Speaker 5:

I mean, it's fairly new, so I haven't heard too many. I mean, I just, unfortunately, I know what they look like, so that's just the hardest part. I can just picture, my mind is my own worst enemy, honestly. Yes, same.

00:19:24 - 00:19:32 | Speaker 1:

That's exactly what I'm talking about. How many times have you called the women that he's trained skinny bitches?

00:19:33 - 00:19:38 | Speaker 4:

Oh, at least once a day. Do you have a membership at the gym that he trains at?

00:19:40 - 00:19:49 | Speaker 5:

So I don't want to share too many details just because he doesn't train at a gym. He trains privately.

00:19:50 - 00:19:53 | Speaker 4:

Dang, so you can't even go on a treadmill and watch the whole time.

00:19:53 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 5:

i i it's okay i'm afraid to share too much on that

00:20:00 - 00:20:07 | Speaker 6:

the air but yeah i can essentially hear everything that goes on oh my god oh this is so good you

00:20:07 - 00:20:14 | Speaker 1:

have my ear would be to the damn door the whole day i had to start seeing my therapist again

00:20:14 - 00:20:19 | Speaker 8:

because of it other women are in your house grunting and groaning that would bother me

00:20:19 - 00:20:31 | Speaker 5:

oh my gosh but then i think about it like if i was there and there would be a lot of grunting and groaning but not in the cute hot way but in like the desperate i'm so out of shape way

00:20:31 - 00:20:37 | Speaker 8:

no the good thing is it's in your house though i'd rather have it in your house than their house

00:20:37 - 00:20:49 | Speaker 6:

right yeah yes that's true that is true that's it i can be thankful for that lindsey you're not crazy by the way i'd be jealous of that too thank you for the call thank you so much yeah take care

00:20:49 - 00:20:55 | Speaker 8:

guys you too stephanie's boyfriend is in a band and girls throw panties at him all the time don't

00:20:55 - 00:21:56 | Speaker 7:

hi steph oh my gosh yes they all they kind of um yeah um so my boyfriend is in a 80s rock hair band and so the girls when they get a couple drinks from them are just wild like if it's death leopard or, like, some other kind of just crazy, you know, sexual thaw. And these girls are, and he's, like, the lead guitarist, and he's really, really good, and he's the only one that doesn't wear a wig in the band. Oh, you metro. These girls are just throwing themselves at him. No, not the 80s hair band. Is he in the mega 80s? No. Okay. He's in a different one. if i say the band name they'll know because are the women that are fans are the women that are

00:21:56 - 00:22:05 | Speaker 8:

Have you ever returned a girl's panties to her that she'd throw?

00:22:21 - 00:22:39 | Speaker 7:

I, you know, it was pretty close a couple weeks ago. This girl was just nonstop, and I had to step in a little. I try not to do that because you can't be like that to your fans. He can't be like that to his fans. Yeah. Stephanie, that is a bad move. Yeah.

00:22:40 - 00:22:51 | Speaker 8:

It's a bad move for him to kiss you. if he's kissing you these girls are all thinking you're a random that's in the audience if he doesn't say this is my wife and i'm kissing my wife you can't have him do stuff like that or

00:22:51 - 00:22:57 | Speaker 5:

what if you threw your like really gross old sports bra and says yeah he still chooses me

00:22:57 - 00:23:23 | Speaker 7:

he chose that i i could honestly it's really funny after the show they'd be like the meet and greets or whatever and these girls are just like touching him and all over him so it It can be a little much, but I know it comes with the territory, so it's a little hard, but there's just a girl that sometimes are relentless and they're like, I'm drunk and I'm going to get him.
