All right, it is Mojo in the morning. Shannon with a big baby announcement. I think I do baby announcements here, and I don't think I've mentioned you with a baby announcement. And I've mentioned it before, like Megan and stuff like that. It hasn't been since Smith that we've even had a baby announcement. But what's going on, Shannon?

So I have been experiencing something really, I'm trying to think of the right word to use, weird lately. A handful of people in my life are pregnant right now. And it has been screwing with my head so much. Um, and even though Wes, Wes has been fixed, as people say, Wes has been snipped. I had a surgery that the purpose wasn't for me to not have any more kids, but it would make it very difficult for me to have more babies. So we are both like out of commission at this point. I mean, obviously there are ways we talk about doctors, like it would still be possible if we really, really wanted to have a child together. Um, but seeing everybody else being pregnant and my Lucy and Smith are about to get a sibling here in a couple of months um and so that piece of it like really made me go okay that's like wonderful for them and their family to have that additional piece to blending like is that something that we should have on our side like is that something that we want or specifically that i want i think wes would have 10 more babies yeah if this man could he loves kids He loves babies. He loves kids. You cannot pry a baby out of his hands if he's around a baby.

I've actually asked you guys. I mean, I've talked to you guys when we've all been together and stuff. And I've said that I wondered, because sometimes you see second marriages with blended kids. Yeah. And Wes's kids are a little bit older, but now he's taking on the role of parenting younger kids. And he's so amazing. If listeners ever get a chance to see Wes out with Lucy and Smith, oh, my God. I mean, he and Smith are, you know, they're like crazy with each other. They're so much fun. Yeah. So what's going on? Are we excited? Do you want, do you guys want to have a kid too?

And honestly, we, we have talked about it, but it, it was just one of those things where, um, he, he will kill me for saying this, you know, Wes is a little bit older and, um, I, and we, we both, I don't know. Like it, it was, it had been talked about. But I had been really in my head about it a lot lately. So this weekend, my little sister Jacqueline is out of town. And so our family and her really close friends are all sharing responsibility of caring for her two girls, my nieces, Stella and Navy. And we had them Friday and Saturday. And I don't mean this in a in a funny way, but having them made me realize that I am good. like i am good i am good with my family my family is very very very one more very complete as we are i just

don't have the energy for that stage of life anymore i like and i think i needed that i was so excited and happy to help out my sister with the girls but at the same time like inside i think i like really needed that like okay this is it was and they are very good girls they are easy uh i just i was like i love being at the stage in my life where i can be like lucy go get your coda and go get your boots on get in the car yeah smith go fix yourself a snack guys go upstairs to bed like i gabby's dollhouse is not a thing for me on a daily basis take my line what line f them

baby but yeah no that's that's actually that's interesting though it's a big moment for women

by the way you do have to f them babies it is a big moment for women especially and i will say this too and I mean this is being extraordinarily vulnerable but I've said this before like when you are heading into that phase of life like peri menopause has just about kicked my ass and that is all that also screws with your brain of like all of these other women in my life are pregnant right now and I'm having hot flashes all night long like that it is really weird well

it's also to kind of an interesting thing too and I don't know if you ever get this but you sometimes go god I wish that we would have had more kids earlier like it in it chelsea and i face this a lot with luke was our surprise baby and we're like we should have gone for another one right away just because then your family feels like it's a little bit more complete but you have like and then you you and wes you want to kind of like okay we want to have something together but yet but we do do you have we do and also could you

imagine telling kieran who's a senior guess what you're going off to college and we're gonna be in

hospital like he would die but can i can i tell you something and this is really interesting it is very cool when i do see wes with uh with smith and i see you with with with wes's kids they're it you guys have done a really good job because you don't ever like it i never see you as mom with uh wes's kids but i see you as a really cool confident confidant for those kids especially like when i see you with wes's daughter because it's like something kind of cool like in Both of you guys don't ever step on the other parents.

I hope not.

You know, feed it or, you know, their responsibilities. But you guys are so good with these kids.

I really appreciate that. I had Samantha is her name. We had a moment a couple of weeks ago. She was going through something really tough and she came to me with it and I was like in tears and I was holding her and I said to her, I'm like, I don't know what I'm doing. Like, I am trying so hard to be a good stepmom to you. I do not know what I'm doing, but, like, all I can do in this moment is just, like, hold you and love you, and I literally have no clue what I'm doing as a stepmom.

Here's what we learned. If anybody does... No more Gabby's cell house. Megan, if for some reason you get the baby itch and you don't want babies...

so i i married my boyfriend uh 10 years ago and i had a daughter who's now 11 and he had a um he currently has a 14 and an 18 year old we were done i have an iud we did not want to have any more babies and we just uh delivered six months ago our triplets Oh, snap. Everything I learned, my goodness gracious. Oh, my God.

That's unreal. Congrats.

Surprise triplets with an IUD. Well, that was fun.

We literally both just busted out laughing. I almost fell off the table, actually.

We didn't know what to do. There was just laughter for months, absolute months.

okay i just want to tell shannon so i'm like her right like i love shannon because i can kind of relate to her and everything so i have two kids great nine high schoolers i'm so happy i don't have to do anything they can get themselves ready take them to school whatever i just found out 15 years later that I'm two months pregnant.

Congratulations. Oh, my. So how did you react when you first, like, realized it's happening? Shannon, I was like, I got to do it again.

I have to do kindergarten again. I have to do, like, Miss Rachel again. Like, you know, a restaurant, a stroller. I was like, oh, no.

But you are so excited, right, at the same time?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm very happy. Like, everything kind of aligned. We bought a new house. My husband opened a new business.

like it just like if it was like i'm gonna say last summer like let's say before we bought our house i would have been crying because there was no room right we were living in a two-bedroom apartment now we have a brand new house like i think everything just kind of worked out and we've been trying for five years like i'm gonna say oh wow yeah like 2019 2020 and i was like it's never gonna happen right like i'm pushing 40 but no i'm very happy i'm like i have the energy

for it i'm good like this is amazing you're gonna be just just so you know and you probably We've already done the math, but you're going to be probably close to six years old when you're sending your kids off to college.

Listen, by the way, Mojo, my daughter has a picture with you. She's in grade nine. I'm not going to make myself feel old, but you have a picture with her when she was six or seven. She's obsessed with you guys. And now she's 14, 15. So that's how old I feel.

see that now she works with us what's up sarah hi hey hey so um i'm 41 and i have three boys and we my husband he was done after two but I convinced him for the third trying for my girl and ended up having the boy and I'm I'm like I said I'm 41 and I'm still contemplating like because we we still have all the moving parts and working parts and everything but I go back and forth of like I'm done my my son's 11 um you know my youngest is 11 so I'm like there's gap and then i'm like i'm almost free my oldest one is 21 my uh my other son's 18 18 so i'm kind of like at that where i just want like i want my girl but those kids are going to be if you get if

interesting reactions to that although you'll have good babysitters i know my 21 year old was 10 when my youngest was born so now my youngest is around the same age as when i had the baby my youngest but yeah i just i'm always going back and forth where i'm like i would love to have my try for that girl but i'm kind of like you know what i'm almost free where i can start traveling without having to worry about spring breaks or schools and exactly yeah kind of like
