So my dad's awesome, and he and my stepmom, Chris, were watching Lucy and Smith for me. I had an appearance to do for the radio station. And I came downstairs in high-waisted, wide leg. They're called paper bag waist. So you, like, pull a belt around them, and then they're, like, kind of frilly up here, but they're pretty high. my dad takes one look at me and he goes what in the hell are you wearing you look like you're one of those grandpas who pulls his pants up to his nipples and i was like gee thanks dad i actually thought i looked really cute it was really it's my first time wearing these pants i was really excited to wear them because oh my gosh looks like steve urkel steve urkel pulling pulling out

hold on uh you look nice too dad we we called your uh your dad here this is uh this is something different. This is when dad's making fun of their daughters for what they wear. Or maybe you'll start noticing them now.

I think she was the trial of those pair of pants.

Hey, can I ask a fatherly question to you? Was Shannon at all the type of girl that would wear things out of the house when she was younger? that you had to say, Nuh-uh, you can't wear that. Nope, not going to do it.

That was more of her sister was more of the racy type of outfits, you know, exposing too much and such. Shannon was pretty subdued in her...

fashion sense. What's happening to her now, I don't know. Maybe this is like, you know, one of those midlife crises.

Thank you. That's an outfit though. You think about it though, Shannon, you know, she's wearing her pants all the way up. Like she's wearing, like you said, she was very appropriate with the way she was dressed.

It was nice later in the night because I went out with my girlfriends and I was wearing like a tank top and it did get kind of chilly and I wasn't wearing a bra so I just pulled the pants up over my nipples and it covered up my THL.

Are you serious? I swear to God. I thought you were joking. I thought it was a joke. No, I swear to God. I swear to God. I was sitting at the table and my friends were dying laughing.

Really? Are they comfortable? Like oversized. I've often wondered this because everything's high-waisted these days. Is high-waisted comfortable?

Yes. Very. It is? I'm sorry.

I know it's very flattering. I see a lot of women wearing them, and Chelsea does too, and I know that she loves them too, but I don't know if they're comfortable. When you go wear low-rise pants, you constantly feel like you're on the verge of exposing your butt crack. Right. Oh, okay. Tim, Shannon's dad's on the phone with us right now. Tim, this is actually perfect for us guys because as we get older, we're going to start pulling our pants up further and further up to our teats.

Yeah, absolutely. I kind of get to that point where, like, okay, if I wear my pants low, it's like you said, they feel like they're just barely hanging on. And I'm growing a gut now, so I want to hide some of that, so I want to pull the pants over it. That's right. And then I look like, you know, one of those people that have them through the middle of their chest.

That's right. The old guys. I was at that point right now. The other day I was at the deli by my house, and it's like old person capital, like in the middle of the afternoon. It's like me and, like, every old person with the person that takes care of them, like their nurse or something. And I walked inside, and I saw this one older man, this older gentleman. I am telling you, he pulled those things up so high, his nuts were showing. I mean, they were like, it was unbelievable. And I'm like, and actually, he didn't pull them up high. His nurse pulled them up high.

I'm telling you, he's on trend right now.

That's true. That old man. I should say to him, hey, I work with this girl, and she wears pants just like you. So, Tim.

all over the place he's a blast that kid is so much fun but it was a little too quiet that saturday we're sitting there like hey it's been quiet for a little while and that's when he was given you know the trim to that fringe thing upstairs and that was hysterical so lucy i had

like a a sparkly garland in lucy's room because that's where she does virtual school so i put all these like little banners and garlands up to make it kind of cheery for her to spend so much time in there well smith that's what my dad's referring to when it's quiet you know this if you have kids and it's quiet something is not good like no bueno he had found a pair of scissors and cut up every single little banner particularly the gold sparkly one in lucy's room to make confetti And I said, dude, why do you do that? I don't know, just because I wanted to. Dad, was it not everywhere?

Oh, yeah, yeah. It was all the way down the steps on the floor in the kitchen. It just stuck to him, too.

We all just walked upstairs, and I looked at my dad, and he just burst out laughing.

Although, I've got to be honest with you, Tim. Don't be offended by this. That's not a very good job babysitting if you don't notice that the kid's playing with scissors.

No, I was home at that time, so it was kind of my fault. Oh, you were home.

Hey, that's what I'm the mom.

Oh, wait. Once she walks back in the door, it's all on her.

And just when she'd say things that would, you know, such a little kid says it, it's inappropriate normally, but a little kid says it. It's just funny in a way laughs. I mean, when she announced in the Secretary of State that she had to poop and it was right on the edge, you know, everybody in the place could hear it.

Wait a second. She said she had to poop and the poop was on the edge?

Yeah. And then she made a face and a noise like, ooh, ooh. And everybody back then, you just stood in line. It wasn't like it is now sitting in chairs. You just stood in line. and everybody could hear it and everybody started laughing. Wait, wait a second.

They could actually hear her grunting to make the poop?

Oh, yeah. No, no, she was just making the noise by telling me that this was an emergency. Hey, Tim, I'm going to tell you, something's never changed. Because there are commercials, Shannon does the same thing.
