00:03:02 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

good morning and welcome to the mojo in the morning show excited for our kickoff to taylor swift which by the way a week from friday taylor at ford field two shows we've got your tickets And get ready because at 7 o'clock, the big announcement on how you can win Taylor Swift tickets. Obviously, we're giving you a chance to go see Taylor, Drake, and Ed Sheeran still at 6.30 and 9.30. But when you listen to Mojo in the morning, you have a chance to win even more Taylor Swift tickets. And the thing is, we're not going to tell you to call in and win. You're going to have to listen specifically for a certain cue to call, and that will be announced at 7 o'clock this morning. So if you can be with us at 7 a.m., I suggest you be with us. Otherwise, go back and listen to the podcast of it because we'll podcast it as soon as we make the big announcement. But it's going to be a good contest, and it's a great chance for you to win. If you're a big Taylor Swift fan, you're going to want these tickets. I've had so many people ask me for Taylor Swift tickets. And I kind of feel bad because I've had so many people over the years that have been so good to us as a show. You know, over the years of being on the air, we've had great people, great listeners, great friends, great advertisers, you know, great, hey, I want to volunteer a time team. I want to do some help for breaking in our Christmas wish. And guess what those great people are all doing at once now? They're all asking for their favor returned with Taylor Swift tickets. They are.

00:05:00 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 2:

all calling at the same time and it's interesting because and i love you all and i'm not i'm not actually calling out one specifically so i don't want anybody that has called me recently uh to feel like i am singling you out i'm singling all of you out i'm singling every one of you that has That is called Everybody is calling me right now To say that They Really need help and if I told Them in the past if they ever needed anything To call me up They're calling me now And they're using it for this one I mean it's even gotten to a point Where like the person that You know, pretty much saved my life, has called me, asking me for tickets. And, I mean, do you remember we did a Breaking Entering Christmas Wish a few years back, and we needed to find a car to give to a family that the guy was selling his blood for cars, and we ended up getting a car from a car dealer? That person's calling me? I mean, I said to him, I go, listen, I'm going to have to give my blood just to get Taylor Swift tickets. In all of your years All of the events All of the concerts Where does this rank With the amount of people That are reaching out This has surpassed In a big way Any Eminem concert That anybody has ever Wanted tickets for It used to be Eminem That was the big one Or Jay-Z, Beyonce Was a big one too But this is by far Oh, the other ones too Are boy bands

00:06:38 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say When One Direction

00:06:39 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 2:

Was in town I remember it was crazy That was nuts Remember NSYNC Back in the day I mean, you're probably one of the people.

00:06:46 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 1:

I was here. Begging for tickets, doing anything I could.

00:06:50 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. This is by far. And it's funny because last night I was having a conversation with the boss of the radio station here, Tony Travato. Talk to the PD. Don't program directly. Yeah. Tony Travato told me that he was on StubHub looking to buy tickets. Like that shows you how crazy it is that the man who oversees 8 billion radio stations and has actually, you know, Taylor Swift's personal phone number is personally going to buy tickets. And you know what the tickets are going for right now? I thought $1,000 was expensive. They're now like $2,000 plus for this thing.

00:07:27 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 1:

For not the greatest seats either.

00:07:29 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 2:

For like, honestly, you're in the building.

00:07:32 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 1:

Like decent seats.

00:07:32 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 2:

You know what I would do if I was going to, instead of buying the, what's it, 300 level of Ford Field, I'd stand out in front of the stadium and ask the guy to hold the door open just so I can listen. Easy. It'd be free.

00:07:43 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 1:

Well, in some of these cities, there are like parking lot concerts that are happening. Mm-hmm. It's pretty cool. You know?

00:07:49 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 2:

It's crazy.

00:07:49 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 1:

Welcome back, Shannon. How are you? Yeah. Hi. How are you? How are you? I'm good. I'm really good. I'm tired.

00:07:58 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 2:

I bet. Yeah. So, you know, what's funny is you get a couple of days off and then you get used to, well, Although, wait a second, hold on. You did not get used to sleeping in.

00:08:06 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 1:

No, no. Let me tell you something. Who wakes up when, like, as the sun's coming up on vacation and doesn't sleep in? The man that I am second-guessing marrying now. Because this is just, he is a serial killer. Rise and shine. Yep. Six o'clock.

00:08:29 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 2:

Why does Wes get up that early?

00:08:31 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 1:

On the first day that we had no children with us, no plan, no jobs to wake up for, I hear his alarm go off. And I'm like, are you effing kidding me? And I said, did you forget to turn your alarm off for work? Because that's what I thought had happened, you know. But then I'm like, wait a second, no, it's Saturday. And he goes, no, get up, get up. We got to get active. It's going to get hot. We have to be active to start our day. I'm like, are you joking? Like, I have dreamed of this vacation to just sleep. And he wanted to go to the gym. Okay, so the first day, he woke me up at 6 o'clock to go to the gym, okay? What? No, no, no. On vacation? On vacation! Then the second day, he woke me up. I said, please, please let me sleep in, okay? He thought 6.30 was appropriate.

00:09:24 - 00:09:24 | Unknown:

What?

00:09:25 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 1:

That day, he made me climb a damn mountain. We were in Arizona, so we climbed half this mountain, and then the third day, I was like, I go, Wes, honest to God, you go do your thing, and I just want to sleep. I don't get to sleep when I'm home, right? 7 a.m., so we're going in half-hour increments, and he goes, I just want to go on a little bike ride before it gets really, really hot. Do you want to know what a little bike ride is for Wes? It's nine and a half miles.

00:09:53 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:09:54 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 1:

I wanted to die.

00:09:55 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 2:

That's not on your kind of a bike that has, like, the bell on it, right? No. No. No.

00:10:02 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my goodness. That was just a vacation.

00:10:03 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 2:

That was just a destination workout. Also, you have plenty of time to call this off. I know. Trust me. Trust me. I think you should rethink it. And then in the middle of the day.

00:10:16 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 1:

Is this a sign of what the rest of your life is going to be like?

00:10:19 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 2:

No. No, I just need to learn to say no. I don't think so. I'm being way too nice still.

00:10:24 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 1:

I don't like that. I don't like this about Wes. I think that he needs to understand that when we all have the ability to sleep in, sleeping in for us is 7 a.m. You know what I mean? Or 8 a.m. at the most.

00:10:40 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 2:

It's not like I'm going to sleep in until noon.

00:10:43 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 1:

What time does he wake up for his job?

00:10:46 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 2:

He's usually up by about 7.

00:10:49 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

00:10:50 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 2:

7, 7.30.

00:10:51 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 1:

So was he looking at this going to Arizona thing as we're going to go out there and we're going to, you know, because people go to Arizona and I don't understand. My wife does this. She'll go. Her friends all live in Arizona. She grew up in Tucson and she'll go there and just like hike mountains upon mountains. And to me, that nothing sounds fun about hiking a mountain.

00:11:10 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 2:

He loves being active and he loves using the opportunity. You know, he's in a we're in a beautiful place to be active. And to be fair, it was super, super hot there. Or by the end of the day, or by the middle of the day, excuse me, it was like 105 degrees. Oh, jeez. And so you couldn't do anything outside. Megan, you're kind of a place. But it was funny because, you know, in the afternoons we would hang out at the hotel pool. And we'd be having some cocktails. And he's like, don't you feel good about having all these drinks because you already worked out today? I said, no.

00:11:37 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 1:

He's one of those. I don't, actually. He's one of those. Listen, I work out this much so I can eat whatever I want and drink whatever I want. I have a friend, our really good friend, Steve Hoke. Dr. Steve Hoke, he's a dentist. And Dr. Steve Hoke and Chelsea and I with his wife, Karen, and the families would go on vacations together. And I would be like, where's Steve? And it would be early. Karen would be like, he's on his 32nd mile of running right now. I'm like, what?

00:12:08 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 2:

No. You're a psycho. Psycho.

00:12:11 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 1:

It's crazy that somebody would want to do that. Like, why would you want to go on a vacation just to hurt your body? I want to hurt my body in the bed, like with a bad bed, you know? I want my back to hurt me from that.

00:12:26 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 2:

I was like, just so you know, if you're waking me up this early, I'm probably going to fall asleep at 8 o'clock. You know what I mean? You're going to be wiped.

00:12:34 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 3:

All I can imagine is just him waking up and flinging the blinds open. He does.

00:12:38 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 2:

That's honest to God, Kev. That's what he does. He's so happy and, like, chipper as soon as he wakes up in the morning.

00:12:44 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 1:

All right, question for the audience here. Question. Should Shannon call it off right now? Megan might have a point on this one here. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. This is interesting. Did you know this about him, or is this something new that you're just learning from this going away together? Because I know you guys have done, over the course of your guys' relationship, you guys have gone on trips together.

00:13:04 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 2:

We've done trips before, but he has never been this, like, hardcore about the wake-up time.

00:13:10 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 1:

Ever. All right.

00:13:12 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 2:

So I'm like, wait. Is he sending you a message? So now there's a ring on my finger and you think this is okay.

00:13:17 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 1:

Do you know that I've heard of these couples that go on these cross-country road trips? Matter of fact, there was one in the news today, these cross-country road trips where the man is trying to kill the woman. Is there any chance that?

00:13:29 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 2:

Might be the other way around.

00:13:31 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 1:

You're going to kill him. That's great. What's up, Dawn? How you doing? Good.

00:13:37 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 3:

How are you?

00:13:38 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's going on?

00:13:40 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 3:

Just driving to work.

00:13:41 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, what did you want to say?

00:13:44 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 3:

Well, I want to tell Shannon, because I also go to Arizona and Vegas. 6 a.m. Vegas time, Arizona time, it's really 9 o'clock our time. So, I mean, she's just asleep in.

00:13:55 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 2:

Do not defend him. Don't you dare defend him.

00:13:58 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 3:

I'm a freaking lunatic too, Dave. Thanks, Don.

00:14:03 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 1:

By the way, can I say something to you, Don? Because you go back to Vegas for a second. And you're right, yes, 6 a.m. is 9 a.m. here. But in Vegas, who's waking up at 6 a.m. Vegas time? Right.

00:14:16 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 3:

Okay, in all reality, my first two days there, it takes me a couple days before I get into Vegas time.

00:14:22 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 1:

Really? I'm right into it. My thing is I end up not knowing what time it is. Sometimes I'll actually go to bed at 6 a.m., you know, from being out all night.

00:14:31 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 3:

Well, I mean, that's true. That's true, yes. Yeah. But, yes, I'm wide awake. I can't fall asleep. My husband on the other hand, the word is still new, but don't stop me.

00:14:40 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Well, thank you for the call. Jackie, what's up?

00:14:44 - 00:14:54 | Speaker 3:

Um, I just want Shannon to know that she's marrying a sociopath. I mean. Why would you be up that early? That's straight up. No trial, straight jail.

00:14:57 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 1:
