Hey, everybody. I'm Tariqa Foster-Brasby. What's up, y'all? I'm your girl, Cheryl Swoops. When you tune in to a new episode of our podcast, Levels to This, you're definitely going to get some spicy WNBA analysis. But we're more than just hoops. And the real conversation is what we actually bring.

00:00:21 - 00:00:32 | Speaker 6:

It's been really, really cool seeing kind of these women just really step into their power off the court and understand that they are basketball, right? And they're not asking for permission.

00:00:33 - 00:00:42 | Speaker 5:

For years, the Unhoused has been presented as a monolith in mainstream media. Weedie Unhoused is a podcast that's changing the narrative. I'm Theo Henderson, and I created the show while it was unhoused on the streets of Los Angeles. We've grown into a two-time Webby Award-winning podcast, the only podcast that shares unhoused stories and news from the unhoused perspective. Listen to We The Unhoused on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

00:01:14 - 00:01:26 | Speaker 3:

Paul Verzi here, and I want to talk to you about Paul's best podcast. I'm Will Ferrell's Big Money Players Network and iHeartRadio. I sit down each week with a special guest, and we discuss the absolute best of things Pete Davidson.

00:01:26 - 00:01:32 | Speaker 8:

It's that, and then there's everything else. Dude, his whole life has sounded like the first drop of a roller coaster.

00:01:33 - 00:01:38 | Speaker 2:

Mark Norman. I mean, I can't even tell you, Paul, how crazy it was. It was insane.

00:01:38 - 00:01:44 | Speaker 3:

Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Or as I like to do. Welcome to the Mojo, the Mojo in the Morning Show. It is Christmas time on Mojo in the Morning Show. This is the Mojo, Mojo in the Morning Show. Bells will be ringing on Mojo in the Morning Show. Hey, happy almost Christmas. It's Mojo in the Morning. Or unless you're in Shannon's neighborhood, happy. Can you turn that thing down? I feel so bad.

00:02:23 - 00:02:27 | Speaker 4:

My Christmas lights this year, you guys, are absolutely spectacular.

00:02:28 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 7:

You had the pros come out this year.

00:02:29 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 4:

I had Pink Pro come out and do my lights this year. And literally every time I drive by my house, I'm so happy because it's just gorgeous and all lit up. And I've never had lights like this before. I've never been able to have somebody do my lights. But they're a fabulous client of this show. And so they offered to do them for me this year.

00:02:46 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 7:

Well, Pink Pro did our building, and I think airplanes can see it. Yes.

00:02:49 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 4:

Well, I did. I mean, my house is bright and beautiful, and they lined the roof with lights, and they did all my trees and all my bushes, and they even put twinkling lights on some of my bushes because they, ooh, they love that. So it makes me very happy. Well, my neighbor's son, who's Lucy's age, he's eight years old, made a comment yesterday about how he has to pull down his shades at night because my house is so bright that he hasn't been able to fall asleep. So his mom had to get him blackout shades for his room because his room is at the front of the house and he can see my house. My house is right across the street. I was like, oh. I'm the Clark Griswold of the street. You know what you need to do?

00:03:35 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 8:

you need to call Pink Pro up and ask them to come out and set the settings to blinking so that it makes you even worse.

00:03:42 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 4:

Well, some of them are twinkling.

00:03:43 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 8:

Oh, are they really?

00:03:44 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:03:44 - 00:03:55 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, so it looks like a business. If you ever lived next to a business with a big old street sign or something like that and this thing's going in your window the whole time.

00:03:55 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it was so funny because his mom was complimenting the lights and he's like, yeah, well, we had to get those special shades, Mom, because I couldn't sleep and I thought, Well, that's a good endorsement for them

00:04:07 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 7:

I was thinking maybe they'd turn it into a promo Like, if we do your lights, we give you free blackout shades for the neighbors Because it just looks that big and bright That's a great commercial

00:04:16 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 8:

Is there anybody listening whose neighbors' holiday decorations are so obnoxious That it actually is a pain in the ass for you? Because we always joke about the inflatables like Mike has in front of his house Just the sound of those things annoys me You know, the motor's going all the time, and you see people that will leave them on all the time, too. Like, you're hearing that at night.

00:04:40 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 7:

Or we talk about how much we love driving to that house. Every neighborhood has the one house you know is so overboard with decorations that people come from all around to see it. But you don't want to live next to that house because people are pulling, turning around in your driveway and parking in your street.

00:04:55 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

There's one in Royal Oak that I need to take the kids to, people keep telling me. It's on, like, 12 Mile in Washington.

00:05:00 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 3:

Washington or something. And it's called like they have a name and a Facebook page for this house. Apparently it's the last year they're doing it this year because it's just gotten too expensive. The lighting bill has gotten too expensive. But yeah, like if you live in it, here it is. It's called the the crazy Christmas house in Royal Oak. Look at this house. You want to see the crazy Christmas house. Every inflatable, every light, every inch of that house has lights on it. Show that to your neighbors and tell them you're thinking that next year. I want to go there. I know. It looks amazing. But not if you're

00:05:28 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 2:

the neighbor yeah yeah um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is our telephone number or you can text 95500 to get through to us our radio station lights are like the lights that you're talking about spike like the runway lights because you can see it right you can see it from like a block or so away like oh yeah if you're actually over at the corner where the speedway gas station is you know exactly where we are and those things like stay on and they actually did a great job that Pink Pro did a great job lining that up. And thank you to them for also decorating the inside of the building because we're using those lights now for our heat in our building.

00:06:08 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 3:

What is going on out there? The heat might not work, but it's because

00:06:11 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 7:

the lights are draining all the energy.

00:06:13 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 2:

Mark was telling me the story about the HVAC system here. We've used the same company for years.

00:06:18 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 7:

It was already an outdated system when we installed it.

00:06:21 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, the company sent out a guy to come fix the thing and when the guy came out the guy i think got fed up finally with the fact that we've never replaced the thing and the guy goes yeah i don't see anything wrong with this whole thing and then the next day it broke and so they had to hire a new company to come out and uh and fix the thing

00:06:38 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 7:

well don't worry move it we're moving out in the next nine years so right exactly uh guys we got

00:07:41 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 4:

all of our neighbors my dad had a massive seizure jeez wow my god wow we had to ask him to please take down some of their lights you know not all of them but some of them and not the flashing ones

00:07:54 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 2:

00:07:59 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 4:

that are on uh yes like even you know video games that people with sure yeah oh i've heard that

00:08:06 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 2:

yeah hey thank you for the call appreciate it you're more than welcome thank you take care of yourself um a couple texters that are texting here this morning i live in an apartment complex where My neighbors have their balconies decorated, and the balcony's lights shine right into my apartment every single night. That's like Shannon's poor neighbor with the blackout shades. And then another person here, I actually hate the Christmas lights we have on our house that my husband put on there. So I've gone out and unplugged them numerous times. My husband thinks that one of the neighbors is doing that. I love that. Mojo in the morning.
