conditions apply since we're talking Thanksgiving Shannon I'm offended I'm hoping that your family has a wonderful Thanksgiving because I'm hoping that it's like prior years you possibly going out and either buying it or what are you doing are you you're not necessarily known as the I am not

00:01:50 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 2:

I am not a cook I am not a chef I I am just I yeah I'm not great in the kitchen you said you set an amazing table no i do i will you're an amazing table setter toss toss my hair i will give myself that i am not a good cook i never learned to cook i it's it is not my specialty but i try really hard and so i've hosted thanksgiving in the past and i've kind of done a mishmash of ordering from like a local market you know the turkey that's already prepared and then my family everybody will bring a dish or two so we we get it done i make a few things like i actually make really great mashed potatoes i can steam some green beans like you are an amazing steamer i am yes i am so i am hosting again this year and on thursday it is my mom my sister's family all four of wes and i's kids and then late night wes's sister and her husband are coming in to town from canada so i am very organized about this i made a menu i delegated who was making and bringing what I made a shopping list that I was going to go out and start today. Like good to go with everything. Well, yesterday Wes calls me from Costco and I'm like, well, what are you doing at Costco? And he said, he's making this list of all of this stuff that he was grabbing for his Thanksgiving. And I said, excuse me. And I'm like, he goes, well, I got this. I got this. I got this. I said, Wes, I, I already either got all of that stuff or I have people bringing certain things and i was planning on making certain things we already have that covered and he was like nope just leave it up to me please and i know what is happening here i know that wes and my sister conspired to make sure that i touched zero food items so that they could all zero actually eat a good thanksgiving yes and i feel like nobody has told me this but they've all like pushed me out of the equation. I feel like I did all of this work and now I am not allowed to be a part of this at all except set the table. But here's the thing though. It's so offensive. There are

00:04:02 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 6:

so many things in life that you do well. It's time for you to pass this off to people.

00:04:08 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 2:

Say it again, Mojo. Say it again.

00:04:10 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 6:

It's time for you to pass. You do so many things well. And it's not about

00:04:14 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 2:

you. It's about people surviving the day. You know?

00:04:18 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 6:

I want to know, by the way, any people that share, Shannon, and what Shannon does. Will you call us up at 844 Mojo Live? Like, what do you do? What do you contribute to your Thanksgiving if it's not cooking something or doing?

00:04:32 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 2:

This isn't even like, Shannon, go grab some cookies from Christine's Cakes. Like, nothing I am allowed to do.

00:04:39 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 6:

You're not even allowed to do that because they're afraid that you'll screw that up.

00:04:43 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:04:43 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 6:

Listen, I will say this. And again, I saw a lot of people posting these on social media this weekend. I cannot believe how many people already have their tables set for Thanksgiving. Like, what are you guys, what are you guys going to do to eat the rest of the week? Are we not eating there? The couch.

00:04:56 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Our table is going to be beautiful. But you guys, we realized this yesterday.

00:05:00 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 8:

So I was trying to figure out because my kitchen, you guys have all been to my house. I have like a big island and then I have a little round table in front of a TV that we usually, that's like the table we use every day for like breakfast, lunch and dinner and stuff. And then I have like a, what do you call it? Like a breakfast nook in the corner and that has a long table. So I want everybody sitting at one table though for Thursday. So I have, I'm bringing in another round like folding table because I have the two round tables and then the long table. We put it together to see how we could fit everybody around it. And I about died West goes, we have a penis Thanksgiving. That's great. It is in the shape of a penis. And now that's all Smith wants to talk about.

00:05:38 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 4:

And the round tables are the balls?

00:05:40 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 8:

The table has balls.

00:05:42 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 4:

That's amazing.

00:05:42 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 8:

If you don't put your pie at the end of the table, I'm going to be so mad at you.

00:05:47 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Christy? Hi.

00:05:49 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 7:

Hi. Good morning. I was listening to Shannon. I was going to say, this is her time for her to just sit back, smoke a joint, let them cook all the food, and at the end, be like, your food was good, but my decorating was the bomb. Don't get up.

00:06:04 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:06:04 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 8:

I don't smoke, but I, it is so hard for me to sit back and do nothing, though. Like, it's just not in my nature. I can't.

00:06:12 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 4:

You know what this is like, Shannon?

00:06:13 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 7:

I get it, because I have OCD, but at the same time, you can be like, well, yeah, no, that decoration looks great. That decoration looks great and totally make the place look beautiful.

00:06:22 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 4:

What this reminds me of is, do you remember when you were in school and you guys in gym class would have the kids that were not the greatest athletes, but you'd have them keep score? Shannon's keeping score.

00:06:31 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 8:

Your team manager.

00:06:32 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, your team manager. You're in charge of the uniforms. You get in at the end of the game and everybody cheers you on. You wash the dishes.

00:06:39 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 6:

You get the one score and everybody's like, we're so proud of her. Nobody defended her. But she did so good.

00:06:46 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 4:

Austin, what's happening? How you doing?

00:06:48 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 1:

00:07:24 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. No. I'll make sure you have everything else. I was going to say, you're going to be bartender of the day. Yeah, that's true.

00:07:30 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 4:

00:08:17 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 4:

Who's that? Hi. Hi. What's your name?

00:08:22 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 1:

Alex.

00:08:23 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Alex. You got a cool daddy.

00:08:29 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 2:

Every morning. That is your daddy. Wait, that is your daddy.

00:08:31 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 4:

I hope that's your daddy. Oh, really? Well, I love it. I love that you are such a horrible father that you would let your child listen to this show. No, we love you, Brett. Thanks. Turn them on early. We always say it's called longevity for us. What's going on, Sarah? How you doing? Good. How are you? Good, Sarah. We're talking to Shannon here this morning, who's taking it personal that her family will let her do nothing for their Thanksgiving meal.

00:09:00 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 5:

Well, I'm in the same boat. I'm not allowed to cook because I burnt something one time seven years ago. So now I'm the babysitter for all my nieces and nephews.

00:09:07 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 6:

But what did you burn? What did you burn?

00:09:10 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 5:

um the sweet potato casserole oh that's one of my favorite yeah but i would say out of all the

00:09:17 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 6:

dishes to burn that's an overreaction for seven years now you're child care um what's up rose

00:09:24 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 4:

hey guys how's it going good morning rose who are you at thanksgiving because you can't cook

00:09:30 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 6:

00:09:42 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

00:10:00 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 3:

Happy Thanksgiving.

00:10:01 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 1:

Happy Thanksgiving. Hey, Mojo.

00:10:03 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 3:

How you doing?

00:10:05 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 1:

I'm doing good. How are you?

00:10:07 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 3:

We're doing good. We're hoping that Shannon takes lots of pictures of her family's cooking. She's a great picture taker. What's going on?

00:10:16 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 1:

Well, I wanted to share that, well, I've been married for 28 years, and my mother-in-law is so particular about what she puts on her table. Every year she asks me to bring something kind of stupid. Like, I asked her, Bonnie, I know, what can I bring for Thanksgiving? You know, I want to contribute. And she's like, you can bring pickles. Pickles. I'm like, pickles? Is there anything else I can bring? Nope, just bring some pickles.

00:10:49 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 3:

Just the pickles.

00:10:49 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 1:

That's worse than rolls to me.

00:10:51 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's almost like she's telling you. She's giving you the middle pickle. That's pretty much what she's saying right there.

00:10:59 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 1:

I'll bring a really good pickle.

00:11:01 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, exactly.

00:11:02 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 2:
