I would like to start off the show since it's just you and I together here. I would like to start off the show talking about something I saw of yours from over the weekend. And it was something that was from yesterday when I saw that you were riding a bicycle and you looked. I don't know if you were unstable or what. I had to watch it twice, and then I realized that it seemed like you were being forced to ride a bicycle yesterday.

00:02:24 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, well, let me tell you the story. So we had a busy weekend. We had a busy day yesterday. My niece Stella turned five years old, so we had her birthday party. Sunday is transition day for us, which means I drop Lucy and Smith off at their dads, or depending on the week I get them. So we had just gotten done doing that. And it was just Wes and I, and he was like, it turned out to be such a beautiful day. Do you want to go for a quick bike ride? And I said, yeah, of course. So I threw my phone in my little fanny pack and got my sunglasses, got my bike, and we start riding and riding and riding. And after what seemed to me like 45 minutes, I said, hey, I kind of want to turn around up here because we still have to go all the way back. And he was like, no, no, no, no, I want to show you something. We ended up riding 12 miles. What? Before I finally said to him, hey, I am done. My legs were jelly. Like, you know, you hit that point where you cannot even, like, I am not caught up. I couldn't do 12 miles. And so what you saw is I pulled out my phone to tape him because he was actually having to push my bike.

00:03:35 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 5:

What mile was that?

00:03:36 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 2:

Up a hill. That's when I asked him how many miles have you ridden. Oh, that was actually. And he said 12.

00:03:41 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

00:03:42 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 2:

And I said, a quick bike ride in my head does not equal 12 miles.

00:03:46 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 5:

It's like to go get ice cream and come back. Exactly. And by the way, you only bike ride to go get ice cream and come back.

00:03:53 - 00:03:55 | Speaker 2:

I was absolutely not prepared for that. You know.

00:03:55 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:03:57 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 2:

Two towns over is what we ended up doing.

00:03:59 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 5:

This is. So, OK, so this is a this is kind of a I knew there were red flags about this guy. Trust me. I knew that there were red flags. First off, we all thought that he was like a CIA agent. We had no idea. And we still don't necessarily. Thank God he changed his job and is working for friends of a friend. Because now I at least know where he works, unless that's a whole cover, too. But at first, we had no idea what he did for a living, nor could we figure it out. But then he's this whole bicycle thing. And he's like the.

00:04:31 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 2:

But Wes is like a workout guy. Yeah, I know. So for him, this is a warm-up to do something after. for me that i am good for the whole entire week at this point can i ask a question i'm putting my uh

00:04:43 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

my thing here because i talk with my arms and my doctor says because i use my arms i got i can't use my shoulder here so i gotta put my sling back on um are there any listeners that are in a relationship with a person that is like shannon's or maybe you're that person where you

00:05:00 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 1:

Do you force your significant other or they force you to do excessive amount of exercise or cardiovascular craziness?

00:05:11 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 6:

And to be fair, I was not forced.

00:05:14 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 1:

I was tricked. You were tricked. I was tricked. Actually, you're right. It is definitely not a force on that one. It is a total trick because you wanted to go on a bicycle ride.

00:05:24 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:05:24 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 1:

But you did not want to go on a 12-mile bicycle ride.

00:05:27 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 6:

Even once we got to said place where he was like, I just want to show you one more thing, one more thing. It was a, like a park basically. Yeah. And so there were, there was mileage put on. We didn't just go to the park and turn around.

00:05:38 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 1:

I'm kind of intrigued by you. Have you ever thought that the guys that you're into are guys that you shouldn't be into? Like you get, you get, you get, cause you date these guys that are physically fit. Like you think about this. If you dated, if you started, if you actually gave fat guys a chance, you probably would not have to worry about something like this.

00:05:57 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 6:

Not necessarily true of my type until Wes. Think about that.

00:06:02 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 2:

Wasn't the Axe a pretty physically active guy? He was a college lacrosse player, wasn't he?

00:06:09 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 6:

I guess, but this isn't something that he would have done.

00:06:11 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah. He's smart. No offense, Wes. He would Uber. I was dying.

00:06:20 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 6:

So that was no joke. That was not just for Instagram. He was actually pushing me off because I was like, I cannot, I can't move. My legs are numb at this point.

00:06:31 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 1:

To me, that's crazy. Jeez.

00:06:35 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 6:

I saw a few listeners because we ended up stopping and grabbing food on the way home. Yeah. And I saw a few listeners and I was literally laying on the grass outside of the restaurant.

00:06:44 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 1:

How close to home did you grab food? Because if I had to grab food on the 12th mile, I'm not going home.

00:06:50 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 6:

We were like 15 minutes away.

00:06:51 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

00:06:52 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 6:

So by that point, I was good.

00:06:54 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:06:55 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 6:

I was fine.

00:06:55 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 1:

Like, I always find it interesting that people will say, like, you know, hey, like, Chelsea does this when we're in Chicago. When we go to Chicago to go visit our son, Chelsea will say, hey, do you want to go to, and she'll say, you know, the Apple Store. Yeah. And I'll say, okay, yeah, let's go to the Apple Store. And then about the time that we're walking, I'm going, I don't think the Apple Store is close. Like, it wasn't like the Apple Store is really close. like one time we stayed and it was probably a 25 minute walk that we're going to the apple store and i'm like don't they have a closer apple store that we can go to sister by the way who also used

00:07:32 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 6:

to live in chicago and i would go visit her all the time and she would say it was the same thing she would say um you know the restaurant we're going to for dinner is two blocks away it was

00:07:40 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 1:

not two blocks it was like 19 blocks well i always what i do now is whenever uh this comes up when we're hanging out because jacob's like chelsea jacob he has no problem walking because that's where he lives now he's he's in that city so jacob and chelsea will say we're going somewhere and i will say i will uber and meet you there just shoot me straight tell it like it is because even

00:08:04 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 6:

if west had said yesterday hey we're you know we're gonna bike for a while i would have at least put like had a water yeah bottle i would have been a little more prepared i mean at least give

00:08:15 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 1:

west give her a chance to be hydrated uh that is crazy that that is that's a very healthy man What's up, Lynn? Hi.

00:08:23 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, guys. I love you guys. Good morning. We love you back. We love you, too. Can you imagine walking 140 miles in four days wearing full firefighter gear?

00:08:37 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 1:

What was that for?

00:08:39 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 3:

Who roped you into that one? Raising money for firefighters with cancer for walks for the rest.

00:08:45 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. And your husband signed you up for that?

00:08:49 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 4:

Oh, God, no. Who? No. my buddy he walks every year okay this year now i think that's a wonderful thing like i people will

00:08:57 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 1:

ask me if i will go do the coleman race for the cure because my mom died of breast cancer and i always say i'll host it i'm not going to it and also you know what the expectation is it's a it's a 5k it is a 5k you know what you're doing what is 5k a million miles does anybody know it's three that's it that's all it is oh i could do that just over i think i could i think i could do that lynn wait how long was 140 miles is what is that what kind of 40 miles in four days

00:09:25 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 5:

oh my god from macomb township to grand rapids yeah that's like the guy that should be on the

00:09:31 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

news you know what i mean you know those people that go on the news because they're traveling across the country or something uh that that's forrest gumpy i'm not doing something like that he's actually a macomb township firefighter hey lynn don't you think shannon should have given fat guys a chance they die sooner you inherit their money it's great it's a great thing quick question for you absolutely lynn on the whole firefighter challenge thingy that you have to do um the 140 miles

00:10:00 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 7:

At the end, did you get, like, something big? Like, did they give you a free T-shirt or a medal? No, I know, but they usually give you something when you do it.

00:10:09 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 8:

I didn't do it. I drove around stalking the guy in my car.

00:10:13 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 7:

You drove. I like it. That's actually good. You know, everybody wants to do a marathon these days. And, you know, they're running these things. And we have a boss over here. Her name is Shosh. And she's very, very physically fit.

00:10:24 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 6:

She's done a ton.

00:10:25 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 7:

She does a bunch of these things. And I feel for her poor husband. Like, this poor guy, not only does he have to go to these things and cheer her on, but he's also got to take care of the kids for the entire day.

00:10:35 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 5:

And don't you kind of feel like a bum spouse that you've never done one with her? I don't know if he, you know, what's funny is I don't know.

00:10:42 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 7:

He looks physically fit. But I would not be, like, that would be a tough one for me if, you know. Chels has roped me into a couple, like, walks. That stupid thing that the turkey trot. But I was like, in the day, the only turkey trot that I ever did was an ice storm, and I almost killed myself. What's up, Logan? Hey, what's going on? What's up, Mojo? How you doing? I'm good, man. What's happening? Good. I just got my car to head to work, and you guys, I couldn't even understand the word you did. I heard what you just said there. Hold on. Logan says that we're kind of staticky. Where are we staticky at right now? Oh, everywhere. I really couldn't understand. No, where are you, though? You're not everywhere. Where are you? what town i'm in waterford right now waterford township okay can you go to the iheart radio app then so go to the iheart radio app and put us on on the iheart radio app on channel 955 if we come in staticky anywhere in whatever city you're in in grand rapids 104.5 snx uh 90 uh one of in 92.5 kiss fn whatever whatever the stations are you know what i mean i'm talking about you know the stations okay so yeah so go to the app for some reason you know what it is it's this weather that we have right now in these canadian fires it's uh oh yeah i feel like i'm breathing different too man it's right you are it's crazy i'm telling you you got you got to be careful of this thing they're affecting the signals that's how bad the the air quality is that's out there all right so go to the iheart radio app and listen to us on there all right thank you all right take care of yourself how did you ride 12 and a half miles in this air quality.

00:12:23 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 6:

I didn't even bring my inhaler. I'm not joking around, which you know is a big thing for me. If I know I'm doing something like that, I have to have my inhaler.

00:12:31 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 7:

Do you think he was trying to kill you? Maybe he's doing the opposite of what I was saying. Maybe he's trying to collect any insurance money.

00:12:40 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 5:

I did make him go to an eight-year-old's birthday party on Friday night. Oh, you know what? Then you deserve it.
