Shannon, we were talking this morning about garbage picking. And everybody's going to Ann Arbor this weekend to garbage picking. You were talking about your infamous garbage man. Guess what? But your garbage man, Dank, has called into the show.

00:00:30 - 00:00:31 | Speaker 4:

Stop it.

00:00:31 - 00:00:31 | Speaker 6:

Dank.

00:00:32 - 00:00:33 | Speaker 3:

How you guys doing?

00:00:33 - 00:00:39 | Speaker 4:

What's going on? I am so excited to get to talk to you because we've only ever talked through chalk messages on my driveway.

00:00:41 - 00:00:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm out here at the dump right now. I'm standing in the rain, but I was like, I'm going to call on to see if I can get on the radio.

00:00:47 - 00:00:53 | Speaker 6:

It's nice to have you on here with us. So, Dank, you will write notes. And what's the other driver?

00:00:53 - 00:00:53 | Speaker 3:

Durski.

00:00:54 - 00:01:05 | Speaker 6:

Durski. Durski, Maine. So Dank and Drewski are the garbage men in Shannon's neighborhood, and you guys write notes to her in her kids' chalk, or do you bring your own chalk?

00:01:05 - 00:01:11 | Speaker 3:

No, they bring their own. Yeah, we bring our own. We find it on the route, and we just leave notes. Really?

00:01:11 - 00:01:16 | Speaker 6:

What other people are you leaving notes for? Do you leave notes for other customers of yours?

00:01:17 - 00:01:18 | Speaker 3:

No, it's just Shannon.

00:01:18 - 00:01:23 | Speaker 4:

I love you guys so much. Now, you're the single one, right? Are you the one that wrote the note this week that you're single and ready to mingle?

00:01:24 - 00:01:25 | Speaker 3:

Yep, yep, yep.

00:01:25 - 00:01:30 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so everybody wants – I need to get a picture of you because people want to see what you look like.

00:01:31 - 00:01:34 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God. All right. I'll send you what you guys want. Yeah.

00:01:34 - 00:01:39 | Speaker 6:

Send it of you and Andruski. Yeah, Andruski, too. With the truck, okay?

00:01:40 - 00:01:45 | Speaker 3:

With the truck? Yeah. I'll see if I can get that done. I'm not on his truck today, but I'll see if I can get that done either.

00:01:46 - 00:01:54 | Speaker 6:

Dank, I have a question for you. This is Dank, Shannon's garbage man. How did you know that it was Shannon's garbage? Explain that to me.

00:01:55 - 00:02:01 | Speaker 3:

My buddy Nick that works here, he saw her one day outside on his pole, and he's like, oh, my God, that's Shannon from Mojo in the morning. Oh, okay.

00:02:01 - 00:02:15 | Speaker 4:

Well, I have to tell you, I appreciate you guys so much because there are some Wednesday mornings when I forget to put my garbage can at the curb. Yeah, we know. You know what they do? They go up, and they get it for me. What? They do. I know they're the best.

00:02:15 - 00:02:16 | Speaker 6:

How the heck does that happen? What?

00:02:16 - 00:02:17 | Unknown:

They're the best.

00:02:17 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 6:

My garbage men. Dang, can I complain about my garbage men for a second?

00:02:21 - 00:02:23 | Speaker 4:

You need to tell your boss you deserve a raise.

00:02:23 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. If everybody knew that you did that, you guys would never get your route done. My garbage, man. Let me tell you what those bastards do, all right? Those lazy SOBs, my garbage, they have a thing that actually grabs my garbage can and puts it in their truck. Crap throat goes all over the street, boxes and things that fly out of there. They don't even get out of the truck to pick this stuff up. I figure after garbage day on Thursdays in my neighborhood, I'm picking up everything. I feel like, you know what, I feel like the guy that got in trouble in his community service was to have to go pick up trash on the side of the road because that's what I'm doing when this happens.

00:03:02 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 2:

I am so salty that Shannon's guys goes to get her trash can. When I put mine out on the curb and they'll still just not pick it up. They'll just drive right by my house.

00:03:12 - 00:03:12 | Speaker 6:

You're the best.

00:03:13 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, and so everyone knows, let me throw this out there, if your garbage cans are upside down, that's because we got to let the compost drivers know that those cans don't have garbage. So people are wondering why the garbage cans are up right now. A little inside.

00:03:24 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 6:

There you go. Hey, question.

00:03:26 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 4:

Hey, am I allowed to leave you, like, beer and stuff or no?

00:03:29 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 6:

Beer. Why beer?

00:03:30 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Oh. So they can, you know. I left them a tip at Christmas time. Please tell me you got it.

00:03:35 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 3:

I assume you guys can leave stuff, but obviously you won't be indulging to after work. No. Okay. Yes.

00:03:41 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 6:

Dank. Did you start, like, doing all this nice stuff for Shannon when she got divorced and became single? I didn't even know Shannon was divorced. Oh, really? Okay. All right. Because I thought to myself, I'm like, oh, that's what it takes. You know, when she was married, you know.

00:03:57 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it wasn't. They weren't going off to get the can when I was married.

00:04:00 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 6:

If that was the case, I wouldn't get married because I would want to have my garbage men still think that there's a chance.

00:04:08 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 3:

Well, I started listening a lot because Drewski listens every morning. He's been listening for 14 years.

00:04:13 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. Thank you, guys. You're the best. He was on the 5 at 6.55 a couple times. Oh, my God. We didn't even know that. Well, you tell Drewski that we said hi, Dank. Have a great one.

00:04:23 - 00:04:24 | Speaker 4:

Send us a picture.

00:04:24 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 6:

I love you, buddy.

00:04:26 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 3:

All right, guys. Have a good day. I got to get back.

00:04:28 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 4:

So thank you for the call. Okay, bye, Dank.

00:04:30 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 6:

Shannon's garbage, man. Duty calls. That's right. Got to get through the route.

00:04:36 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:
