Hey guys, Bobby Bones here, host of The Bobby Bones Show. We look for as much good in the world as we possibly can with Tell Me Something Good, and we talk through the biggest news stories of the day, and also your biggest and favorite country artists are always stopping by. On the Gulf Coast, check us out on 95KSJ, and lock us in as a preset on the free iHeartRadio app today.

I am right now a little off. I told you guys yesterday when we were over that loudspeaker system on that mic at Topgolf, today's going to be a spit show because whenever we stay up late and we drank last night and we were all, everybody had cocktails in hand. Everybody was there. It was so much fun. Thank you to all of you guys for not only just, you know, showing up and being there to support a great cause to raise, you know, money for the Sheriff's Pal program, but stay until the very, very end. I mean, literally, we closed the place out. It's crazy. We did. And we had an interesting evening afterwards. First off, I couldn't go to bed until I knew that Megan got home safely. So I told her she had to text before she went, you know, when she got home. You ever do that with your kids at all? Like if you're a parent of teenagers who are driving, you're like, you got to text. Or did your parents ever do that with you? You got to make sure you call, you know, when you arrive at your destination. And then secondly, Mike stayed over last night And we had a slumber party with each other We sure did

00:02:30 - 00:02:33 | Speaker 4:

I saw photos of you two snuggling in Mojo's bed

00:02:33 - 00:02:44 | Speaker 6:

Absolutely By the way, it was so nice to be able to sleep with somebody That actually wants me to cuddle with them Because Chelsea normally doesn't allow me to I never get to be the little spoon

00:02:44 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 1:

Yes, you were the little spoon The littlest spoon

00:02:46 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 6:

Wait a second, you never get to be the little spoon? No, because of my wife, I'm always the big spoon Oh, okay But aren't you a little tinier than Allie or not? No, no. I'm just a little bigger. A little bit. Just a little bit. Actually, the funniest is Mike sleeps with his hat on, which I found. I was like, I was just wanting to get close and give you kisses on top of that head of yours. The shiny dome? Yeah. So here's, by the way, we have to post that picture of us cuddling in bed together, which was very awkward when I said to Chelsea, Chelsea, I want to get a picture of Mike and I in our bed together. And she goes, ah, okay.

00:03:22 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 1:

And I was like, no, no, no, it's cool

00:03:25 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 6:

We're just going to spoon it, it'll be fine And she's like, uh She at one point kind of looked and was like I don't know if I'm like

00:03:34 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 5:

Dick

00:03:35 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 6:

But it was fun And she got the picture But before that is what was the greatest And I want to throw this out there to you guys This is a word of warning for you, okay If you learn anything from today's show Learn this word of warning, okay don't order chipotle on doordash when it says it only has 10 more minutes left to order okay you got that because chelsea mike and myself all put orders in and none of us got exactly what we wanted what we got was the leftovers of anything that they were gonna have to throw away i ordered

00:04:19 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 4:

tacos they just threw everything you'd put in a taco in a bowl everything we got was just in a bowl that's it but i kind of think it's partially our fault we waited till 15 minutes i mean they

00:04:29 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 6:

were scraping oh yes the bottoms of those yes they let me can i tell you guys how i knew that it was leftovers a i think we all got like all the different meats put together so it was like Chicken, carnitas, you know, whatever they call them all. Barbacoa. Yes. And nobody goes to Chipotle and orders the corn salsa. We all got corn salsa.

00:04:57 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

Not true. Absolutely not true. Who eats corn salsa?

00:05:00 - 00:05:03 | Speaker 6:

Extra, extra, extra corn salsa every time.

00:05:03 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 2:

First off, there should never be corn in anything. Corn is a filler. Well, now you've got to play the song.

00:05:10 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 6:

I need you to know that instead of a birthday cake last year, my brother got me a five-pound can of corn. Ew. Oh, my God.

00:05:17 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 7:

Your poops just had to be real interesting.

00:05:20 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 1:

I really like corn. What do you like about corn? Ever since I was told that corn is real, it tasted good.

00:05:27 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm sorry. You don't like corn at all? No, you shouldn't put corn in Corn doesn't belong in salsa No What? I love corn Tomatoes and cilantro And all the rest of that stuff Onions

00:05:39 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 6:

You know I'm going to trust the people who make this food And it's part of their culture I'm going to trust them more than I trust you guys

00:05:49 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 2:

Alright, well then I want to just throw this out there It was our fault because we shouldn't have done it They gave the forewarning But I have been burned before When I've gone into restaurants And tried to do like a carry out order Like just before they were going to close What happens is the kitchen guys Always clean the grill off What about 10-15 minutes before And that's when they're done Like they're at that moment And then anything that left Was probably what they were going to take home To eat to their family So they're probably pissed that we ate their food But why not just say no You know what I mean

00:06:22 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 1:

Why not just go We can't put in this order because the drive had to have been at least 15 minutes.

00:06:27 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 7:

Which, by the way, has happened to me before. Have you ever placed an order on DoorDash and then like 30 seconds later you get the alert that they can't complete your order for whatever reason? And usually it is around closing time and so I just figure, oh, they're done for the day.

00:06:40 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 2:

Actually, it's funny because Chelsea, same situation. She was looking at her app the entire time that she ordered because she thought for sure, Shannon, that that was going to happen where they were going to cancel it. My wife was like, I don't think this is going to happen, guys. Jacqueline, what's up?

00:06:54 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 4:

Hi, I just wanted to hear and support Megan and Tyler that corn salsa is so good. Also, pico de gallo with corn, phenomenal. And then if you're ever on TikTok, the cowboy caviar has corn in it. It's so good.

00:07:06 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 6:

Cowboy caviar. Cowboy caviar has gotten me through so many sad nights, it's not even funny.

00:07:12 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 2:

Jacqueline, it's the worst. I'm going to tell you something. I know I'm going to get on the toilet today and that corn salsa is coming right back. You know?

00:07:20 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 4:

It's just the shell. It's just the shell. That's all it is. poop-filled shells. You're acting like it's not a fun

00:07:26 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 6:

science experiment.

00:07:28 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 2:

Listen, the worst is afterwards. It's going to look like what was served to us last night at the exact moment. Collette, what's going on?

00:07:39 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 3:

I was actually just calling out and saying with a five-pound can, I'm sure when Megan pooped, it was like a machine gun.

00:07:49 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 2:

Right out. Collette, have a great weekend, okay?

00:07:55 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 3:

You too.

00:07:56 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 2:

All right, take care of yourself. Here's the interesting thing, too, we got to talk about later this morning. Do you guys know that Mike made the bed when he got up this morning?

00:08:09 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, because the bed was made so nicely. Like, I could tell Chelsea put a lot of effort into it, and it was folded, like, way better than I've ever made my bed ever in my entire life. Whose room did you sleep in? I don't think it was anybody's room. No, he slept in the basement. Oh, okay.

00:08:23 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so he was down in the basement in Chelsea's parents' room when they come visit us. Oh, okay. Which is funny because before he was going to go sleep there, I said sleep there because it's got a good TV in there. Yeah. And he was like, I'll sleep anywhere. And she's like, no, no, no, no, put them in Joe's room. And I said, why? And she goes, I don't know the last time that those sheets were cleaned. So she went down and sniffed the sheets.

00:08:43 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 7:

Well, yeah.

00:08:44 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 2:

She did a sniff test.

00:08:44 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 7:

I get that, totally.

00:08:45 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 2:

And thank God that they were actually clean. They passed. Yeah, they were good. But it was fun. It was fun hanging out with all of you guys last night.

00:08:52 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 7:

Shout out to Sheriff Bouchard. He's my new favorite person in the whole entire world. I love him so much. He brought the cutest dog with him that I almost stole, but I figured it would be bad to steal from the sheriff.

00:09:02 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:09:03 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 7:

By the way, that dog was so cute.

00:09:05 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 2:

That's the Oxford High School.

00:09:06 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 7:

He's a king, Charles Cavalier Spaniel. And I was telling Lydia this. We got these drink tickets. Somebody handed us drink tickets. I didn't know where to go to redeem the drink tickets And get an alcoholic beverage So I looked at the sheriff I'm like I feel kind of weird asking you this But where can I get alcohol like right now

00:09:25 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 2:

You know what people were doing People were coming up to him Wishing him a happy 420 Because they've never thought that they would ever be celebrating 420 With the sheriff

00:09:34 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 5:

He was phenomenal I would do anything for that man after meeting him

00:09:38 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 2:

Megan was talking about her She was wearing a tennis skirt And he said to her He goes, oh, my gosh, you do have a tennis skirt on. He goes, did you find a pocket to put the balls in or something like that? And he goes, oh, that sounded really, really bad. But then what Megan said to him was even better.

00:09:56 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:

They're tucked and taped away, babe. They're all they wear.

00:10:00 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 1:
