I already feel bad enough because I'm scared I got this girl fired or in trouble at least.

So I walked into this place of business and I don't want to call them out because like I said, I feel like I already made a little oopsie. And this girl who was supposed to be working behind it, I walk in and there's nobody there. And normally there's somebody behind the desk, nobody there. So I'm like standing, standing. And I finally realized that the person who was supposed to be working behind the desk is there, but she was sleeping under the desk, like full on sweatshirt over or hoodie over her head, tied up, curled up in a little ball, sleeping under the desk.

She's doing a full on nap for old Seinfeld fans. She was doing a George Costanza.

Didn't hear me walk in. And I finally had to say, you know me, excuse me. And she woke up.

Why did you know she was there?

And she was, well, cause I, I am standing there going, where the heck is, you know, where the heck is anybody person? So I walk back out toward the front door. I turn back around and then I see her right there.

So you're sleeping away. You won't say the business, but is it a business that would not be entertaining to work at?

Oh my God. It would be a total snooze fest anyway. Absolutely. So she finally wakes up and she goes to help me. She walks away and then a man who I'm assuming is her boss comes up and I made a comment of poor thing must be so tired. And he asked me why I said that. And then I was like, crap, I probably got her in trouble. And I don't know the circumstance, you know, of why she was so exhausted.

But because she was sleeping under the desk, she was sleeping under the desk.

And I don't know how he did not see that, but so.

OK, so so is Shannon in the wrong for saying poor thing must have been tired and and kind of telling the boss that that she was sleeping? Because I will say this to you that, you know, you would think that he would eventually know that she was sleeping, especially if he was he was there in the back at the time or where was he?

I don't know if he was there in the back or if he had left and come back.

He came back and she was sleeping and he came back.

Do we have any sleepers on the job listeners that are listening to us? I would like to know if you have ever gotten busted by a customer. Has a customer ever busted you? I will tell you that I think that it's so funny when somebody does sleep on the job or fall asleep on the job. And it always goes back to Mike, when Mike was on the show. uh and he it was literally the first year that he was on the show but he was not used to waking up in the morning because he was mike at night you know he was doing his night show and he fell asleep on the control board and we literally could hear him hear him yeah he was like

So I was calling because not me being a sleeper, but I previously worked in the office, and one of my previous coworkers, the receptionist at my job, she was an older woman and super, super sweet, But it was one of the funniest things being reception because almost every time you walk past the front desk for reception, she'd be dozing off and asleep.

And what would the bosses do when she was sleeping like this?

So, honestly, like, she would play it off, like, really well. So they'd be like, Mary Jean, and she would just, like, lift her up and she'd be like, oh, sorry, I was looking here at this one thing. and i honestly think that they just like she was so sweet they just let it go she was looking at

the back of her eyelids wasn't she uh what's up day it's mojo in the morning what's going on

hey hey good morning no so it happens like stuff happens that's why you have toilet paper but i've fallen asleep so many times at work and like i've worked at like different places yeah um real

while you're on guard or anything are you like you're you're supposed to no no no that would Oh, that guy's close. Yeah.

Can I ask a question of police officers or security guards? Because when I come into work, I pass this business right here, the rock climbing place. And they always have a security guard in the parking lot. And there's nobody else around. It's very, very dark. And I always think to myself, is that guy actually watching the business? Or is he getting like a good six hours in that parking lot?

I'm telling you, like, I don't know how the people that work security in the front of our business don't sleep. That guy's so wide awake when we show up. He's such a good guy, this new security guy. But these people, I would be sleeping there all the time.

The girl who works overnight, she works a 10-hour shift.

I don't know how they do it. Yeah. That's crazy. Hold on. Mystery, your husband sleeps on the job?

Yeah, he does maintenance, and he sleeps on the job all the time. He says, one time he woke up to his boss tapping on his car in the window.

Man. And so did he get in trouble?

Nope. Not fired. Nope. Boss just was like, hey, we got a machine you need to come look at when you get around.

They just understand. I worked one time, came in to the show, and the overnight person was sleeping. So the overnight person was in the studio, had pre-taped the rest of the show, and was sleeping literally on the floor in the studio. But it came in from a club. What's happening, Emma?

but it was like the best time of my life. But we worked third shift, and we used to sleep on a memory care couch because people would be sleeping, but sometimes some of the residents would come out and they thought it'd be funny, and they'd tap on our shoulders and be like, can I get an apple juice when we're trying to sleep and stuff? And yeah, that's where we took our naps.

I love when she said when we're trying to sleep. Yeah, they actually need something.

A memory couch sounds like it would be comfortable, though, doesn't it?

Yes. Well, they used to schedule me at, like, 4 o'clock in the morning, knowing that this was, like, my prime time. I was probably 21 going out drinking. I would blow up an air mattress in the stock room, and I would hide it in places and my manager knew and he would let me go and take naps throughout the morning and then he would come and wake me up when it was time to open the store. That's a good manager.

That's a person you want to work for. What a great store that you could fall asleep in that they have the devices that you could go on. Like I often thought that that would be a great place to work or Dix. I used to love going to the Big Dicks over on Novi.
