If you've ever gotten a call from school that your kid was doing things at school or maybe selling things at school that he shouldn't be selling, then you can relate to Shannon and what her son Smith is doing right now.

So I didn't even get a call from school about this. I was getting text messages from parents of kids in Smith's class. And I swear this child, he is six and a half, by the way. He's in kindergarten, and he is the most popular boy in the kindergarten at his elementary school right now because he has been handing out those bright orange foam earplugs to all of the kids in his class. Okay, you know which ones I'm talking about. They're like in the individual little plastic packages. And all of the kids in kindergarten, apparently, these are hot. They want to get their hands on a pair. And here's the best part. I'm thinking to myself, where in the heck did he get multiple, and I'm talking dozens, of packages of bright orange foam earplugs? Because he, when I checked his pockets, had pockets full of them. Church. He's been stealing them from our church, pocketing them, and then handing them out to all of the kids at school. But I'm getting text messages from moms with their kids coming home from school with the orange earplugs in their ears. And they're like, Mom, look what Smith gave me today. Don't worry, he said they were free at his church. He's quite literally the plug.

Did he just grab so many of them?

I don't know. It was not a church service that I attended with him. That's kind of cool.

I didn't even realize church is out of it. I'm sitting over here like, why are there earplugs in church? It must be loud music. The music can be really loud sometimes.

So for maybe the kids or the older people, there's a little basket of them right next to the basket of mints, which I'm sure he's stolen every single one, and you can just grab a pair. That's the one thing about Catholic Mass that I love, is everybody mumble. You try to stay as quiet as possible. That music is just...

Smith, by the way, when he's been around my kids, has always taken a liking to Luke. He was very cool with Luke.

He told me Luke has the drip drip, which I don't know what that means, but I think it means he's cool.

Do you remember the story about how Luke would order DoorDash at school and then sell it to his classmates and stuff like that? Like the kids at school? Yes. Smith better never get that app on his phone when he's a little older. All of a sudden, he's ordering pizza at school and it's pizza day. He's an entrepreneur. He is. What's up, Leah? How are you doing? Good. How are you? Fantastic. Do you have a child just like Smith?

I sure do. my oldest likes to try to do any kind of scheme he can to make money and at five years old he was selling mechanical pencils at his private school there you go Mechanical pencils were the coolest ever. I mean, they were. Yeah. You just remember those in NFL?

Oh, yeah, he'd have me take them to 5-0, buy a whole pack for a couple dollars, and he would make a couple dollars of his own. Oh, smart kid. It's a great business plan.

Which ones, Mike? You remember the NFL pencils? Oh, yeah. You'd want to get your favorite team or those little helmets, too?

I always got the Raiders for some reason. I have no idea why the Raiders were always the ones that they put in ours. What's up, Carrie? You there, Carrie?

So, my, well, he's 15 now, but in first grade, came home with stacks of dollar bills and $5 bills. And we're counting all of this money, like, where are you getting this money from? He was selling Lego figurines. He would do that. So, I had to call the principal and ask the principal why my son has all this money. I had to go in for a principal visit and give all this money back to all these kids. What? But did you get your Legos back? Yes, we did get the leg up there. Honestly, that's awesome. Why stop it? I guess you have to commend him.

Well, he wants to be an entrepreneur, and I see why now.

Hi. My daughter was about seven, and this is when, like, fidget spinners and stuff were really cool.

Yeah.

And everybody wanted all the fidget toys. is she would take Taco Bell sauce packets and pass them out to her friends and trade them for more expensive fidgets because they were, you know, they're soft inside. So she would pass them off as a fidget. And she'd come home with these ridiculously expensive fidgets. And I'm like, where did these come from? Oh, my gosh. Again, genius.

And tell me that this is a young lady that one day is not going to, She's going to be the CEO of a company. Actually, to be honest with you, hold on a second. I just got a text from Colleen Grant, my boss. Could you please get Molly's daughter's name? We have a sales opening here at the radio station. Hired. We'll actually give her her own list, too. If anybody wants to sell you, we've got to get some good sales lists available for you, okay?

Oh, she's got it.

I love it. Bill, this might be the best of them all. What was your son selling at school?

Mushrooms. What do you mean? Explain. The ones from Kroger in the refrigerator.

He was bringing mushrooms to school.

Yeah, he'd break them up in pieces and sell them. I don't think they're 50 pieces or something.

What was he telling people that they were buying when he was selling them?

I honestly don't know. How old was he? He was in sixth grade.

Oh, that's great. That's awesome. I love it. And then Katie. Hey, Katie, this is the one I love because I've heard this before from friends that have had this happen.

My God. So I got a call from my daughter's school that she was handing out $100 bills at lunch. She was making it rain. And I'm like, what? And the principal was like, yes, do you know where she got this money? And I was like, what? I had taken her to my neighbor's house, but I had to leave early for work that morning. and she had her electric belt on the counter, and my daughter pocketed the money and took it to work and was handing out $100 bills.

Wow. At least she shared.

I was so embarrassed. I literally had to call. My neighbor was like, she actually texted me because her husband was like, it's not here.

Oh, no. How much did that cost you? How many hundreds was she passing out?

Oh, my gosh. Well, luckily, they got all of them but one, so I only had to give $100. But, I mean, still. Also, where'd she learn to make it rain, Mom?
