Hey there, I'm Kat. I'm a college athlete. I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, which caused back pain and stiffness every day. With Cosentix, I'm able to stay active.

00:00:58 - 00:01:39 | Speaker 4:

Cosintix Secukinumab is prescribed for adults with active psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, or non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis. Available in both IV infusion and self-injection. Don't use if allergic to Cosintix. Get checked for TB before starting. Increased risk of infections and lowered ability to fight them may occur. Like TB or other serious bacterial, fungal, or viral infections. Some were fatal. Tell your doctor if you have an infection or symptoms like fevers, sweats, chills, muscle aches, or cough, had a vaccine or planned to, or if IBD symptoms develop or worsen. Serious allergic reactions and severe eczema-like skin reactions may occur. Learn more at 1-844-COSENTICS or cosentics.com.

00:01:40 - 00:01:44 | Speaker 1:

Move and feel better. Ask a rheumatologist about Cosentics.

00:01:45 - 00:02:11 | Speaker 5:

All right, Mojo in the Morning Show, phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. If you're listening to us on the iHeartRadio app, don't stop the stream. If you've got a comment you want to make, text us at 95500. I do have to tell you, though, you may get a phone call from our producer who may say, hey, you've got to say that on the radio here. What's your Thanksgiving plans? Are you in town or are you out of town?

00:02:11 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 7:

I'm in town, and I'm having four Thanksgiving dinners, which is horrible for me because I have no self-control. I overeat at every single one of those things. When they put out 12 dishes, I just load the plate until you can't see plate. And yesterday was the first of them hosted by my brother. And his daughter came in town from California. So we got to see her. I got to meet her boyfriend for the first time and see a lot of other family and friends. So it was the first of four Thanksgiving dinners. And as I was helping and setting the table, I met a nice little four-year-old relative who I'm going to ask what – I know once a year we do the topic of like, you know, kids say the darnest things. What did the kids say at your house that just made you laugh? But this is just downright brutally honest that this child said to me. The little four-year-old was helping me set the table. She looked at me and said, you get the biggest fork because you're the fattest. It's like, fat boy. You know what? I can't even be mad at you just saying what you're thinking, four-year-old. And you think that would have shamed me to eating less at Thanksgiving. I think it had the opposite effect. Like, I drowned my SARS in sweet potatoes. Do you have any idea how heavy it was?

00:03:25 - 00:03:26 | Unknown:

Stop the truck.

00:03:27 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 7:

She was like, because, you know, at Thanksgiving, you're using every fork, spoon, and knife in the house. You've got to use the old set, the new set, the serving spoons. You've got to use everything when you have 30 people and you don't have 30 forks. So she looked at me and she's like, you get the big fork because you're the fattest.

00:03:41 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 5:

But you understand, though, that to them, you know, they think because they're tiny. You're not fat.

00:03:48 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 7:

I appreciate you making that effort to smooth over what she said. Typical fat guy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And it was an eye-opening moment.

00:04:00 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 5:

Any way that you can tell this kid's parents to teach this kid a little semblance of nice.

00:04:08 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 7:

I'm going to tell Santa Claus.

00:04:09 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. That's being naughty. You're not on the nice list. I do love kids' perspective on life because they're so honest. They say everything that Megan thinks. like you know what i mean you ever notice that with kids they the kids are great and they just blurt it right out actually matter of fact sometimes megan actually does the same thing too i am a child you live the life of a child sometimes with things that is so funny oh my

00:04:32 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 2:

god this is why i'm scared of like my little cousins because they're they're brutal man kids

00:04:38 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 7:

kids are mean yeah it's great it's like they they have no filter kids and old people right mojo The senior citizens will do the same thing to you

00:04:47 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

Old people Well first off one of my favorites was And I won't say who the person is Because I actually made nice with them But a very famous old person here in the Detroit area Did a fat thing

00:05:00 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 2:

to me oh yeah at costco that i'll never forget and was when he walked up to me at costco and i said hey how you doing you know it's mojo and kind of like to introduce myself or reintroduce because i didn't know if the old person knew who i was and he goes oh wow you have gotten fat and i'm thinking inside voice please you know let's not say that too loud but man when you become a certain age you say whatever you want to say and i love it i'm not at that age yet i'm getting i'm getting closer but i'm not at that age yet you still got a ways to go chelsea has already told me numerous times she's like okay pull back here sir you know you can't say certain things but um but yeah these kids man kids and old people are unbelievable aren't they uh hold on let me see what texters are saying here at 95500 by the way if you would like to if you would like to call 844-MOJO-LIFE or text 95500. Oh, look at this. Another one here. I had a kid at Kroger do the same exact thing, Spike, to me by saying, look how big her butt is. While standing in line. I used to have to worry when the

00:06:13 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 1:

kids were little. Oh my gosh, I have to worry about Smith. If I see something that's a little different about somebody, I'm like, oh no. You gotta cut them off at the I either, or we got, I got to like turn them around or like loose is good enough now where

00:06:26 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 2:

I can just look at her and be like, quiet, quiet. Luke did one time to a guy that actually had a nub and he said, what happened to his arm? Like it was one of the things when he was a little kid and I was like, I don't know. Yeah. But you know what's funny is that sometimes people actually will take it nicer, like from a little kid than they will.

00:06:45 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 1:

Well, cause they, they would rather explain than just have people stare at them in some cases.

00:06:49 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly. Well, most of the time, little kid's intent, too, isn't bad. Oh, for sure. Yeah, kid wasn't trying to insult me. Mojo in the morning, hello.

00:06:59 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 5:

Hi, I just had a cute story about how kids say whatever they think.

00:07:03 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, kids, we're going to call this kids, instead of they say the darndest things, kids are a-holes. That's what it's called. What's going on?

00:07:09 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 5:

Kids say the darndest things.

00:07:11 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:07:11 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 5:

So I used to babysit this little girl, and this was in the early 2000s, and I still was quite into Jerry Springer. So she looked at me so serious. She was three. And am I allowed to say the B word?

00:07:22 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 2:

Yes, sure.

00:07:23 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 5:

She said, I want a cookie, bitch. And I had to go to the other room, burst out laughing, compose myself, then go back in there and say, Tessa, we do not say that. So then when her mom picked her up, I'm like, well, I cannot watch Sherry's fingers around your daughter anymore.

00:07:39 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 2:

I want to watch her cooking.

00:07:41 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 5:

In case she has any requests tonight at dinnertime.

00:07:44 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 2:

That's great. What's up, Sam?

00:07:46 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 4:

hi hi um so i work in a leasing office and i had a resident um asked me if i was having another

00:07:56 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 2:

baby because i after having a baby oh man smith asks me that all the time by the way

00:08:03 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 1:

anytime i'm like blowed anytime is there a baby in your belly no there's not and there never will

00:08:10 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

be nope nope nope nope maybe he's wishing for one oh i know he's wishing for one but

00:08:15 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 1:

But he says it to me all the time.

00:08:18 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 2:

Starla, what's up?

00:08:21 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 7:

So when my daughter was like three and a half, I had just had my son maybe like four or five months before that. And we were eating dinner. And she said, Mom, I'm going to eat all of my dinner so I can grow up and be fat like you.

00:08:32 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 2:

Oh, gosh. And then, of course, you send them to their room without food.

00:08:39 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I just laughed it off.

00:08:41 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 2:

but honestly were you thinking like okay i'm gonna like push him to the ground like when he's

00:08:46 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 7:

not looking or something i mean yeah i kind of wanted the tripper when

00:08:49 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 6:

00:09:23 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 3:

00:09:50 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

00:10:00 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. One day I had, they were all dressing up in clothes, and I had a little boy, he was ahead of the train, and calling everybody mother-effers.

00:10:13 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Side boy.

00:10:16 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I've been doing this 27 years, and it is crazy, this stuff that comes out of their mouths.

00:10:22 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 4:

For all those parents that drop their kids off at schools or daycares listening to the show, understand you have no secrets.

00:10:29 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 1:

No, whatever you tell them, they run and tell everybody. And I have their secrets. That's right, exactly.

00:10:37 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 3:
