terms at dkng.co slash audio it's mojo in the morning show so spike almost got uh into some

00:02:06 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 4:

fisticus yeah at uh kroger at kroger i got yelled at after work yesterday when i went over there to grab a couple quick groceries another customer was yelling at me and i wanted to grab la croix and we haven't been able to find our stores the last couple, like two weeks.

00:02:21 - 00:02:23 | Speaker 2:

Are you still looking for that limoncello? Yeah.

00:02:23 - 00:02:38 | Speaker 4:

So then I went over to the one across from work and, oh my gosh, gold mine. I struck gold. They had a stack of them. And not only that, I got there when they were on sale for $3 for $10. So I loaded up my cart with all six cases they had of my flavor.

00:02:38 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 7:

How much La Croix do you go with?

00:02:40 - 00:02:45 | Speaker 4:

Six cases? So if I'm not drinking coffee or beer, that's the only other thing I drink.

00:02:46 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 3:

And if you can't find it anywhere, when you find it, you stock up.

00:02:48 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 4:

Right. And Meg drinks it every day, too. How often do you guys drink it? How many a day do you drink it? One can. Just one can a day each. So it's two cans. So you go through a case in less than a week.

00:02:59 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 7:

Do you know that I had a doctor that told me that I was drinking too much of the sparkling? It's carbonated water. Yeah, you can't go about that. Said it was not good for you.

00:03:07 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 4:

It's carbonated water. I know. If they're going to tell me water is not good for you.

00:03:10 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 7:

No, because there is a certain level of sodium that you can get out of the carbonation.

00:03:15 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 4:

Guess what I would be drinking if I wasn't drinking LaCroix? I'd be drinking Red Bull or Coke or something even worse with 20 grams of sugar.

00:03:23 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 5:

My dentist literally said it's the same.

00:03:26 - 00:03:38 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, for dental health, I know it's not the best. But I will take a cavity over all the other health issues you have. I don't need diabetes with all the sugar of pop. But anyway.

00:03:38 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 7:

So what happened? The guy came up to you and was whining?

00:03:41 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 4:

And as I was putting the last case in my hand, in my cart, I stood up and the guy next to me said, rude, dude, you're taking all that? And I said, excuse me? And he goes, I was going to buy some of that. And I looked at him for a second. I just kind of froze for a second because I thought, oh, my gosh, this is a listener, like, messing with me, you know? Yeah. And so I'm looking at him and he's legitimately cranky and mad. And he's like, yeah, I was going to buy some of that. and he just stood there looking at me and I'm waiting for him to crack a smile and he didn't and I said okay and he was rude to me so I just decided to keep them all and not share my LaCroix so I turned my cart to go down the aisle and he muttered jerk as I'm walking away and I'm like should I have shared that? Dude, if it was toilet paper or a necessity cold medicine, something you need I'd be like okay here dude let's split it in half, obviously you need it it's LaCroix. I beat you to it. I'm sorry. There's 20 other flavors of bubbly water.

00:04:42 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 2:

If he was nice to me, I probably would have shared it. Well, that's the thing. If he was nice, I would have been like, oh, here it is. But since he was a jerk?

00:04:48 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

Also, I had six cases, and it was three for $10, so I didn't want to break up the three for $10. Spike. I get it. That's funny. Yeah. So the guy, but what if that was the only...

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 2:

drink that that guy was going to be able to drink.

00:05:02 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 3:

It's the only drink I drink, and I've been looking for it for two weeks.

00:05:05 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 2:

You don't want to share?

00:05:07 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 4:

Dude, you're not sharing either. Come on.

00:05:09 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 2:

No. If he was nice, I would share. Everybody could be a person that's one of our ratings people. Yeah. I don't want to be. I'm not going to be mean to anybody. That guy goes on social media.

00:05:18 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 3:

Someone with that demeanor, do you think he's going to be nice in the ratings to us? Because he sure wasn't nice to me. Because guess what I do.

00:05:23 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 2:

He could change his mind. No. Guess what I do. I say to him, yes, I would love to give you this. Now, please listen to Mojo in the Morning.

00:05:31 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 3:

Well, from now on, I will ask, what radio station do you listen to? And if they give the right answer, then what's the phrase that pays? We got a big prize here. Long live big money spike. No, I do not reward people for walking through life being jackholes to strangers. If you're going to be a total a-hole and-

00:05:50 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 2:

You're taking your LaCroix and going out.

00:05:52 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm sorry. You acted like a dick punch. You could have said something nice like, hey, can I grab one of those? I would have been like, sure, dude. Here you go. Get hydrated.

00:06:01 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 1:

Spike, you're going to mess up your blood pressure acting crazy.

00:06:04 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he raised my blood pressure, so he gets nothing.

00:06:07 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 2:

It's funny.

00:06:08 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 3:

Like Willy Wonka, you get nothing.

00:06:12 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 2:

I thought Gene Wilder was in theater. Can I say something with this LaCroix thing? Overrated. I was so excited about it.

00:06:21 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 3:

Two years ago, you guys were all raving about it. I loved it.

00:06:24 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 2:

I loved it, and I had so much of it that now I got it coming out of my ears. I'm done with LaCroix. Done. So is that guy. Yes. What kind are you drinking? Right now, honestly, I'm just doing water, and if I need a little flavoring, I squeeze in a lemon or squeeze an orange in it. No, I mean, what kind of LaCroix are you doing? Oh, I was doing the same, the limoncello that Spike got. The raspberry. Raz cranberry is hands down tangerine.

00:06:52 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I like just the berry. I liked the tangerine was good.

00:06:55 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 2:

I did it all. I actually, that's what I lived on when I was during that 90 days of recovery from my heart surgery. And that was when my doctor told me that I can't keep just drinking that. I got to drink regular water. But I will say this. The one thing I give Spike credit on is Spike, he doesn't care how big you are, how small you are, whatever. You come up and try to take something that belongs to him, he will fight you off. even if it's LaCroix.

00:07:26 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 3:

You mess with Spike, you mess with death. If he was a listener, he would have known that.

00:07:33 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 4:

You should have just said that. When you mess with Spike, you mess with death.

00:07:38 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:07:39 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 3:

Go enjoy your buble or whatever the other fake one is. It's not as good.

00:07:43 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 2:

Have any of the – by the way, there is one that's really good. I know.

00:07:47 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 3:

You're always got the next one.

00:07:48 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 2:

No, there's a Perrier one that's new.

00:07:49 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 4:

Well, the Pellegrina one at Costco is a good one. Pellegrina – is it the flavored one? Yeah, it comes with the red, the pink, and the dark purple.

00:07:57 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 2:

Yes, it's very good. That's a good one. Costco. Has anybody ever had this happen to them, like where they were fighting over an item and it wasn't like Black Friday fighting over the last television that was on?

00:08:10 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:08:10 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 2:

Like, do you ever get this way in grocery stores? Or does anybody from Meijer or Kroger want to call us up and tell us if this has ever happened?

00:08:17 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 4:

I remember a couple of years ago, my mom got into it with somebody. If you've ever been to the outlets, like the Birch Run outlets is where this happened. And we were at a Pottery Barn outlet. And what happens there is you can, some of those items are so big, so they'll stick your name on something. And then you can go shopping and then come back and, you know, and they'll load it into your car. Later you pay for it, they'll load it into your car. And my mom had her name on something and somebody else came up and tried to rip. She watched them. I was there too. Tried to rip her name off of something. I thought they were going to rumble on the floor. They were both so fired up about this. What was the item?

00:08:53 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember what the item was?

00:08:54 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 4:

I think it was like an oversized mirror, like to stand up in a bedroom, if I remember correctly. Oh, my God. They were heated about this stupid mirror at the Pottery Barn outlet.

00:09:05 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 2:

If you could split the mirror in half. You get one half, you get the other half.

00:09:08 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 4:

There were words exchanged very loudly.

00:09:10 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 2:

Those outlets, like Birch Run Outlet. West Brant. What's the one on the way to East Lansing? Yeah. Yeah, that's the one I think you're – people that –

00:09:20 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 4:

Those Tanger outlets.

00:09:22 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 2:

Tanger, that's what it is. People that go to those outlets with a mission to do one thing, fight people. They don't go there to get sale prices. They go there to fight people, and they bring on their craziness. What's up, Joel?

00:09:39 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 1:

Hey, you know, the problem with the situation is exactly what Spike is saying. I mean, Spike did come across as rude at first when he was explaining it. But the truth is, that guy was being a jerk. I mean, you can't give somebody something, you know, after they treat you like that. You know what I mean? You can't go out of your way for that.

00:09:57 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 3:

You just locked yourself out. You just told me. Listen, I...

00:10:00 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 6:

I will share if it's necessity. I get it. Families need stuff. Listen, I was helping people, strangers, find the baby formula when they had a shortage. This is not a necessity. And I did not see you there, standing there, waiting to get some. So I was just shopping. You know what I was doing?

00:10:18 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 4:

It was called shopping. Did you tell them that in the aisle? I was helping people get baby formula when they couldn't find baby formula.

00:10:23 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 6:

He doesn't deserve an explanation. I've just wheeled away.

00:10:27 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 4:

Joel, what Spike didn't tell you, what he didn't tell you is, after this all got done, and the guy was sitting there with a very sad look on his face, Spike ripped open the box, grabbed one out of his hand, and drank it right in front of him. Eat this, sucker! The LaCroix. I just want to know, what is so exciting about LaCroix that a guy wants to cause a fight in an aisle over LaCroix? The flavor that you've been looking for, it is kind of like you strut gold. All right, I'll tell you what. The only thing that I can see is Super Bowl Sunday, if I call Buffalo Wild Wings and they told me they ran out of wings, I'm fighting. Then I'm having issues.

00:11:07 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 6:

I feel like you should be on my wavelength with this because you get so obsessive about products when you find the latest orange that you just discovered. No, those carrot carrot oranges are the best. The double yolk eggs or whatever his fad of the month is. No, it was the watermelon Ciroc.

00:11:21 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 3:

Or the watermelon Ciroc for a while.

00:11:23 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 4:

But I wouldn't fight somebody over the last bottle. Clear every last store out. Although right now, mine is Eagle Rare Bourbon. That's the one that I'm having a hard time finding. Joel, thank you for the call. Have a great day, buddy. Have a good one. All right. Spike's not fighting either, to be fair. If that guy tried to do something, Spike would go, I have a concussion.

00:11:40 - 00:11:40 | Unknown:

I have a concussion.

00:11:41 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 4:

Wait. Yeah, you have a concussion. You're going to fight a guy with a concussion?

00:11:44 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 6:

I would swing one of those 12-packs right at his head. Hit him in the head.

00:11:49 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 4:

Spike just went to the emergency room. Yeah. Literally at Henry Ford. because they told him he had a concussion. They told him, didn't they tell him?

00:11:55 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 6:

They said, rest your brain.

00:11:56 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

00:11:57 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 6:

So I'm not going to let this guy aggravate me.
