Mojo in the morning. So, Spike, you went to California over the weekend, which is the land of celebrities, the land of famous people, and people thought that you were a celebrity?

It's so funny because you just see them out walking around in the wild. You know, there's just people everywhere you go. You go to the mall, you go to a restaurant. There's always somebody famous or somebody you look at and say, I know they're famous. Who are they? Who's that person? And I'm the worst at it. Shannon, I'll tell you, whenever we were out in Vegas or at a concert or backstage, I never know who the famous people are back there because I just don't get into watching TV or following TMZ or anything like that. So we were backstage at a concert and there were celebrities everywhere. it's so funny because when you go to a vip room in los angeles you're not vip there's like really famous people back there and you're like how did i get in this room but we're hanging out there and at one point i'm watching toby mcguire he looks like he's checking out my girlfriend he's kind of looking he keeps looking over at her spider-man told me yeah and i was like look spidey's checking you out and she's like no he just and i'm like look and we watched and he kept looking over at and looking and they would catch her looking and and he was like a bunch of like models and stuff there was a bunch of people there and then I said you know what it is I realized when we were in Los Angeles that everybody's looking at everybody else trying to figure out who they are like the whole time you're backstage you're just looking around like I know that person how do I know that person are they famous who is that person and then it happened to me someone thought I was a celebrity and that was the funniest part to me this guy comes up to me at the bar and it was a friend of a friend and he told me how much he likes my music and i was like cool thanks uh what music and i'm like what is he talking about and he's like oh i love your music well he thought i was

so then this dude calvin showed me the picture he brought up and i was like oh my god in that picture it does look like me i want to see that picture yeah holy cow wow just sent it to the group chat yeah that's the picture that came up when he was like is that the dude from blinker too and then he sent and then he that's the picture that came up so he came over but it happened like the whole weekend where people are constantly looking at you and you're looking at other people you're like i know you're at brunch getting coffee and you're looking at that person like person sitting next to you who is that is that is that one of the bachelorettes yeah it's I know I've seen that face before.

You know what's funny? I get more excited over meeting a real housewife or one of the people that's on, I don't know, 90 Day Fiance. Or if I met the wives that are on that, Sister Wives, I would be more excited.

I'm more excited about that than I would to meet, like, J-Lo.

I'm the same way.

Like, the reality stars to me, especially since reality television, like, really, like, just took over everything. Well, because I think you get so invested. They're, like, bigger stars. And I heard, I mean, we've heard the stories of, like, celebrities going in and, you know, getting into the DMs of some of these reality stars sometimes.

So it's funny because, like, there's, I'm the perfect person to be in VIP because I'm never going to bother any of these celebrities because I just don't care. and like like we were at a bar and i scooted past this guy i'm like excuse me i'm trying to get a drink excuse me do you mind scooting over a little bit and my friend's like you just scooted the singer from black crows i'm like i don't know carrie is in my way i'm trying to get a drink like i don't i'm not there for a picture i'm there for a cocktail but like there was one party we're staying next to jared leto the whole time and and like i never talked to him i'm like well he first of all he always comes to all of our i heart events he's always at like every isn't he always

like backstage at every concert we ever he's friends with um i think he's friends with uh tom

and john and john sykes and those guys yeah it might be because he's always there but then i was talking to somebody at the party about him i was saying like how he's always backstage and they said oh that's hilarious because he's in our neighborhood and they're always blowing him up on facebook i said there's no way jared leto's on facebook they said the neighborhood has like one of those neighborhood Facebook groups just like Shannon's does yeah except it's all the celebrities blasting each other and they all are complaining that Jared Leto is the worst driver in the neighborhood and telling them to slow down you're gonna get somebody hurt and I was laughing my ass off they said all these other celebrities are telling like it's just they're all just like us they're in the neighborhood they're on Facebook telling each other's business on on their little

Do you remember at the iHeartRadio Music Festival like four years ago or so, we're all walking in the casino, and John Stamos walks by us, and we all started fast walking to try to catch up to John Stamos, and we couldn't catch, and he wasn't like he was running. The guy, for some reason, is the fastest fast walker ever, and you wanted to meet Uncle Jesse, or you wanted to see Uncle Jesse.

I just wanted to be within like five feet of him.

Did you meet him?

No.

He was Mike.

He literally was a speed walker.

He was the fastest speed.

It was crazy how fast he was. He must mall walk.

The other thing was I think it was the girl he was dating was like seven feet tall, and her legs were five and a half feet tall. So I think he was just trying to keep up with her.

It's wild, though. I do this. So locally, like, I will go out to eat sometimes, and I get, like, excited if I, like, see one of the television lawyers, you know, that are at dinner. Like, if Mike Morse is sitting at a table next to us, and I'm like, 1-800-Mike-Wins, you know what I mean? Like, where's your mom? Like, you ask, like, these dumb questions like that. But if you see, like, the local people that are, like, on television or the car, you know, like, you see, like, car dealers and stuff like that, like, you're like, oh, that's so-and-so, you know, the Ford dealer.

I would cry if I could meet Jumana. I love her. Oh, my gosh. I've never met her. Her billboards, absolutely iconic.

She is a lovely, lovely woman. I would cry to meet her. Remember her and her daughter came to Shatila Bakery when we were doing our town tour one summer. She was awesome.

celebrity celebrity you know so the basement of the hotel we're staying in has a recording studio in it and we the we checked in and we're like let's go get some drinks i hit the wrong button i hit ground instead of lobby and i realized i didn't realize yet in the hotel we're like what floor we're supposed to go on and it opens and there's the recording studio and as and the guys is standing there and he goes oh hey how are you here right this way and he escorts me right into the recording studio and I'm like thanks and and he said have you been here before I said no this is really beautiful I said and he says well here I'll give you a tour and he starts giving Meg and I a whole tour of the studio and he goes so this is the recording studio this is the control board this was the one that Miley Cyrus used but we switch it out sometimes if there if you want a different board we could switch it out like Rihanna's producer had her own board and I'm like cool and then he goes you want to be in the studio i said sure and he takes us in the studio i was like this is a really warm room this is a really nice sound to it he goes thanks he goes so do you do you need an engineer are you good and i said oh i'm not here to record i i'm here i'm trying to get drinks and he looked i said did you think i was here to record and he goes yeah and i'm like i don't know who he thought i was but i he thought you were mark hoppus well i guess like 182 so and And, like, so Meg said, like, you just carry yourself like someone that just looks like you belong somewhere. And I said, dude, I'm just clueless. That's what it is. I just look around like I don't care because I just don't know where I'm going. And I just go with the flow.

You know who you're like? You're like my father-in-law. He, like, randomly just walks around places. And he's the boss. He's a lot of go places. Yeah. He doesn't feel embarrassed by doing that.

That's so funny. So I was like, no. I said, well, who's in here recording? He's like, oh, well, no one's been in a few months. And Elton John was in here on his last tour, like, three months ago. I was like, oh, my God.
