Give it some Mojo in the morning

00:02:37 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the morning show Listen to this radio program on three great radio stations like channel 955, 104.5 SNX, 92.3 KISS FM, or on the iHeartRadio app on those stations and explore more of what we have to offer with the free iHeartRadio app. Yeah, you can listen to our stations anywhere you go. If you're out and about or maybe without the ability to be able to have your radio with you, I get it. I was thinking about it. I don't have a radio in my house. Really? Yeah, I used to have radio in my house, and I don't. I have the iHeartRadio app connected to a Sonos system, which I love, and I listen to the app. I don't have a good old-fashioned radio anymore. And listen, it's not that radio is bad. Radio has just got other ways to get connected. You can do it through the app, or if you want to, you can go in your car and listen to the good old-fashioned radio. I was actually just reading the other day about the iHeart app being available now in more cars than any other audio apps. There was some audio guy or some car guy that was talking about that.

00:03:57 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 2:

That's pretty cool.

00:03:58 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 5:

That's what people want. People actually will go buy a car and they'll say, does this thing come with blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And the iHeart Radio app is one of the most talked about. Thank you guys for listening. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. Now, yesterday, you might remember that we were all talking to Spike and we were asking questions about, you know, are you going to get married? Are you going to propose and stuff like that? You didn't tell this story on the show about the rumor that almost started about you.

00:04:29 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 2:

It's so funny because when you get in a relationship, people are never just satisfied with the status quo of like enjoying your happiness in a relationship. And Shannon's shaking her head yes now, too, because people are always then like, when are you getting married? When are you having kids? When are you doing this? When are you doing that? And it's like, dude, just chill. When I do, you do. And yesterday we were talking about how everybody was shocked there was no rings over the holidays. Well, yesterday I got a call and my brother-in-law admitted to me yesterday that he thought he witnessed a family secret because when we. were visiting their house for christmas he walked downstairs and witnessed me in the living room rubbing my girlfriend meg's belly and saying oh and he thought oh my gosh there's a big secret there's a baby coming oh i would have thought that too yeah so he immediately thought that

00:05:16 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 3:

so he was telling me yesterday and i was why are you rubbing your girlfriend meg's belly if it

00:05:21 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 2:

wasn't for that well this is a hysterical reason we had just gotten back from finally having our philly cheesesteaks that we have to have once a year when we when we go to philly and megan commented how her belly was just giant foot long sandwich in there she ate the whole damn thing it was massive i mean she ate more than i did and i was saying oh look at your cute little baby

00:05:44 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 1:

cheesesteak and i was rubbing her belly i would have punched you right in the face no she pointed

00:05:49 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 2:

it out first i would never do that on my own still though yeah but uh but anyway he saw this as he was walking downstairs and he thought we were pregnant. And we were like, no, not having a baby. But I thought that was funny. And then I didn't even show you guys this picture. Then we land back in Detroit and we stop at the Italian market to buy a bunch of things because we were going to make homemade pasta for my girls for New Year's Day. And we walk in the market and a listener comes over and goes, I had to laugh. I saw you here and I saw that sign. I'm like, what sign? There's a big sign in Cantore Italian market that says, welcome, Megan's baby shower upstairs. So the listener saw us there and thought, oh, my gosh, I know a big family secret. Same funny story. So I had Megan lean over with her belly sticking out and took this picture. And so, yeah, there's no family secret. But I thought that would be a funny topic to bring up on the air. Who thought they knew a family secret but were wrong? Yeah.

00:06:52 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Or why did everybody think you were pregnant? Yeah. What was the thing that made everybody think that you were pregnant? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, 844-665-6548. What makes you think rubbing your girlfriend's belly after she just got done eating would be a good thing?

00:07:11 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 2:

Listen, I'm not a smart man. I've managed to be alive this long somehow, but people around me have to put up with my dumb sense of humor.

00:07:20 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

00:07:21 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:07:22 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 1:

I don't know if I told you guys this story before Christmas, Wes and I took my kids and his kids to go to drive through that magic of lights that they had over at Pine Knob. Have you guys ever been to that? Yeah. By the way, it's really fun for like the little, little kids. And so we had kind of built it up. They knew they were going, but we said we had a surprise for them and we weren't going to unveil the surprise until that day. And the surprise was that we had rented a party bus to take us through the magic of lights. So the kids could like wear their pajamas and eat pizza and whatever. and Wes and I didn't have to drive. Well, Smith was convinced that he thought he knew what the surprise was. Again, a party bus. And so he kept saying, I know what it is. I know what it is. I know what it is. So that night, the party bus pulls up into my driveway and we say, surprise, this is your surprise. And he looks kind of bummed and he goes, I thought you were going to tell us that you were having a baby.

00:08:15 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow. Nope. Oh my gosh.

00:08:19 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 1:

Party bus, baby. Party bus, baby.

00:08:21 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 3:

Wait, do your kids think that, do they, I mean, obviously Smith does, but do they think that you guys, or that you might have another child?

00:08:31 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 1:

I don't think they understand that it's not possible. So they think that it is possible, but it's not possible because Wes has been snipped. Okay. So it's not possible.

00:08:43 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 3:

Do your kids anticipate at all that you might get married at all, or are they too young to even think of that?

00:08:49 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no, they, they, we've talked about that.

00:08:52 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 2:

I remember you telling us once they were pretending, they were like planning a wedding for you or something, weren't they? That was a couple of years ago.

00:08:59 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 1:

But, yeah, I mean, we, I, we've talked about that before. We've talked about that several times.

00:09:05 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 3:

I know.

00:09:06 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I have to, I have to, not saying that I'm going to get married, but I always will make comments or I try to make comments of, you know, isn't it so fun to have Mr. West around? And, you know, just baby steps.

00:09:16 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 3:

Can I go back on something here real quick? Because I, by the way, know for a fact, and I'm going to find the audio, but I know for a fact that Spike said at one time or another on the show that he was never getting married ever again. He never said ever again. Yes, he did. No, I didn't. And actually, yesterday I heard from our former producer, Ellen, who reiterated after knowing that we talked about this on the show, saying, I know the audio is there. And she basically was guiding me to the direction of the conversation that we had on the air, and I will find it when I come back. But you just insinuated just a moment ago, if people heard this, that there might be a possibility of another little one in what you said. What did I say? You always read into things if you want to hear.

00:10:02 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 4:

If you listen back to the podcast of this conversation today that will be on there, or if you're on the podcast right now, hit the rewind, the 15-second rewind like a couple of times, and go to the beginning of this conversation when Spike said something about, you know, not that it might not happen someday or whatever. The words that he said, I can't remember exactly what they were, but it did catch me off guard.

00:10:23 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 3:

This is how you always confuse yourself and you hear what you want to hear.

00:10:27 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 4:

I'm telling you, you go back, listen to that thing. That's the beauty of instant replay. If this was ESPN, I'd go to the Telestrator.

00:10:33 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 3:

I could tell you factually didn't say it because I also am snipped. Excuse me. Hang on a second. Oh, you get nervous there. That's what happens. Review the play. I cannot have another baby. I was snipped 10 years ago, and I was tested recently. It is physically impossible for me to have a baby.

00:10:53 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 4:

You were tested recently.

00:10:54 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 3:

I have no desire to have a baby.

00:10:57 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 4:

Wait, why were you tested?

00:10:58 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 3:

to make sure that the vasectomy held and took place because I do not want another baby. Are there any other questions?

00:11:04 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 4:

Wait, so after 10 years, you got tested again?

00:11:07 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:11:08 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 4:

What? That's interesting.

00:11:09 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 3:

Remember the Dunkin' Donuts parking lot thing?

00:11:11 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yes.

00:11:12 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Forgot about that. Yeah. There's no way I'm having another baby, nor do either of us want another baby. I know. You can hear what you want in these conversations instead of just listening to the words coming out of my mouth.

00:11:23 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 4:

I know a guy named John who lives in Bloomfield Hills. Not making this up at all. No, I know a guy named John who lives in Bloomfield Hills. And if you want me to tell you where he lives, I'll tell you where he lives. He lives off of Losser, who is a friend of a friend who got a reversal and got it done. Don't want a reversal. Mitch Hollander did it. Shelby, what's going on, Shelby? Oh, are you okay?

00:11:46 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 3:

I'm turning my mic off. Don't point out that I'm clearing my throat.

00:11:49 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 4:

No, but that's what happens when you – if you were in a lie detector situation right now, they would say the detector shows us.

00:11:57 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 3:

Or that it happens every morning at this time.

00:12:01 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 4:

Shelby, hi. How are you doing?

00:12:03 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 2:

Good. How are you?

00:12:04 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 4:

Good. What was the rumor that everybody was talking about?

00:12:08 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 2:

So for the new year, I posted a little recap of my year from last year saying how I was thankful and blessed and blah, blah, blah. we had a baby last year and one of the pictures was my pregnancy announcement from a year ago and my grandma went and told all my aunts and everybody that I was pregnant again so my dad called me and he was like are you know are you pregnant again you need to tell me something and I was like where like why are you asking me this and he said grandma told me so um I quickly just texted our family group chat I was like I don't know where this is coming from but I am not pregnant again, and my grandma's like, I saw you post a picture, and so I had to explain that I am not pregnant again.

00:12:55 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 1:

Poor grandma. She was just confused. She was. And excited. Yeah.

00:13:01 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 4:

Sometimes social media posts will get me on with friends of mine who I think potentially are, you know, having babies based on just the, you know, I hate to say this, but there's times where you see certain friends and you're like, is she pregnant? Like, not thinking that they're... I know, but then they also will do like the different filters on their stories, and this happened with friends just recently, and I said, Chelsea, I go, hey, is so-and-so pregnant? And she said, I don't know, and then she looked and she goes, oh, it kind of looks like it could be, because the filter kind of looked like it could have been of a pregnancy announcement. What's up, Marissa?

00:13:43 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I just wanted to add that I'm concerned that he got checked in a dunkin donuts parking lot did you not hear that conversation i mean it felt like there was context missing he just said yes for 10 years i got checked in

00:13:58 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 4:

the dunkin donuts parking lot no so to recap that one uh he had to actually uh administer the the sample and he did it he said he did it in a dunkin donuts parking like i didn't want to go

00:14:11 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 3:

all the way home and all the way back and uh i chose a bad location to uh oh okay i mean yeah

00:14:19 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 4:

whatever works for you what do you think marissa do you think uh do you think that there might be a baby in the future there of uh of mr spike i mean when i thought that he was

00:14:31 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 1:

getting checked at dunkin donuts i thought

00:14:33 - 00:14:42 | Speaker 3:

now my girlfriend has a six-year-old and that reaffirms my belief that i think i'm exhausted and done with babies

00:14:42 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 4:

after. I think that you would be great, though, if you hadn't. I could never do another child. No, I'm done.

00:14:51 - 00:14:54 | Speaker 3:

Is she done with kids? Yeah. You say you're done. Yeah, she's done as well.

00:14:55 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 4:

She always only wanted one. Really? So it's always been just to have one.

00:15:00 - 00:15:05 | Speaker 5:

child yeah um god you'd make another beautiful baby though wouldn't you

00:15:05 - 00:15:10 | Speaker 6:

i love that mike's like yep yeah yeah mike can have them all for us

00:15:10 - 00:15:19 | Speaker 5:

who would you guys on the show want want to see have another baby uh shannon or spike megan

00:15:19 - 00:15:25 | Speaker 7:

You're going to put that hoodoo voodoo on her

00:15:25 - 00:15:28 | Speaker 2:

Literally if you could have heard My microphone was off

00:15:28 - 00:15:33 | Speaker 7:

She breaks out in hives When she hears a baby in the restaurant

00:15:33 - 00:15:35 | Speaker 2:

Is it getting hot in here or is it just me?

00:15:35 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 5:

And we said another baby Another like Megan did not have it No I know I know Megan had her first baby in a Dunkin Donuts parking lot

00:15:43 - 00:15:56 | Speaker 1:

How dare you I have dogs And also what were you going to say Megan Just how dare you? How dare you? Yeah, don't put that out there. Now I'm stressed. Oh, God. Can I get a vasectomy check?

00:15:57 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 5:

I would love, honestly, I would love to see Shannon have another baby.

00:16:02 - 00:16:15 | Speaker 6:

You know, I would never have been opposed to it. But Wes is, like I said, he's not getting his vasectomy reversed. And I have two baby nieces, and they're awesome to be around.

00:16:15 - 00:16:17 | Speaker 7:

Well, you can hand them back when they have it.

00:16:17 - 00:16:40 | Speaker 5:

Because I look at this, I look at this, how many second, okay, so here's, this is a question for our listeners, how many second marriages or third marriages or whatever have more children? Like, that people will do this? Because both of you, because you are still, you are still young enough to have a baby, right? Sure. I mean, I think you are. Sure. And your kids are still young enough that they could have siblings.

00:16:40 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 6:

Uh-huh. Yeah, absolutely.

00:16:42 - 00:17:00 | Speaker 5:

Spike, on the other hand, I don't know, Spike. I want to see you bringing the – if you had a baby right now, when they're like 15 or 16 years old, I would like to see you with a walker going into a school. That would be interesting. A walker? How old do you think I am? Well, it would be 16 years from now seeing you. You'd be chasing after him on a little league field.

00:17:00 - 00:17:01 | Speaker 7:

65, 66. Yeah.

00:17:02 - 00:17:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Walking around. Although there are guys that you see that will do this, where there are guys that are like in their 50s that will have a kid, and you're like, are you kidding me? Yeah. Like when that kid goes off to college.

00:17:12 - 00:17:18 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, Letterman was in his 70s, I think, or 60s when he had the baby. George Clooney?

00:17:18 - 00:17:22 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but George Clooney doesn't age. And if he does, it just gets better.

00:17:22 - 00:17:24 | Speaker 2:

But he's in his 60s, and he has like five-year-olds.

00:17:25 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:17:25 - 00:17:29 | Speaker 7:

Way older than me, and he's not making the Walker comment about George Clooney.

00:17:29 - 00:17:41 | Speaker 5:

George Clooney is still, though. The kid's going to go, he's going to be moving that kid into college. You imagine he goes off to Michigan State, taking his kid off to Michigan State, and he has to carry in boxes of crap at the age that he's going to be.

00:17:41 - 00:17:53 | Speaker 7:

George Clooney is in better shape than you and I put together. Yeah, I don't think that would be the hard part. I think George Clooney right now with a five-year-old is the hard part because he's chasing around a five-year-old at whatever age. Two. They have twins. Oh, really?

00:17:53 - 00:17:54 | Speaker 5:

I don't know.

00:17:54 - 00:17:56 | Speaker 7:

They hire people to chase around, too.

00:17:57 - 00:18:12 | Speaker 5:

The hardest part for me is I think about getting on the floor and playing with kids. Have you ever seen me trying to get up off the floor when I'm on the floor? It's a nasty situation. It's a very difficult thing. I've got to say, Chelsea, come on over here and help me out. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning Show.
