I thought so last night Now I think it's legit But I was last night sitting in front of my laptop going Am I being punked? And I'm looking at it thinking, this is one of you guys for sure. But yesterday I got a message from a woman who wanted me to film her delivering her baby. Someone I don't know asked me if I would record her childbirth. And she said she found me through my photography website, which I didn't even think was still active. That's my first tip that I thought, one of you guys is messing with me because I haven't updated my, I don't think I've even renewed my photography website in years. Do you do that? No. So I have never done photography for hire. I've never done – I've sold my own photos as art. Like if people wanted to take one of my pictures and hang it on their walls, it's a nice compliment. Yeah. But I've never done photography as a job. But every once in a while, I'll get an email from somebody. I'll come through like – Although, wait.

You did just do a wedding though, but it was friends of –

oh that was also a friend that was somebody was starting a little bit of trouble it wasn't boudoir it was i was my friend was starting a t-shirt i know i love how they say it both of them boudoir a boudoir i like how it's okay yeah no it was not anything like that it was a t-shirt company and there was about 30 people in a room you know like owners and makeup people and all that as i was taking t-shirt photos there's a t-shirt but the lady was scantily clad yes she

by the way that that would be i couldn't imagine me going home to chelsea and saying yeah it was a t-shirt i was taking a picture of her in a t-shirt but she had no pants i know but

that was a technicality but all right so my ex knew the owner of the t-shirt like that wasn't it was and that was no impropriety 17 years ago maybe the last time i was asked to uh do a photo shoot like that but i don't know this woman and i don't do videos or photography jobs so i just directed it to friends that i knew as professional videographers but i was thinking first of all once i figured out she was real because it's and i don't know if she's a listener she's in new baltimore but she's the whole thing start off with have you have you ever done work in mclaren mccomb hospital and i'm like what do you mean by work i didn't know what she was talking about it took me a little exchange to get back and forth like what are you talking about do they

even let you do that anymore well that was going to be my next question they were super protective when i delivered

And I wanted to take like, yeah, so they let you take pictures after the baby was born.

If I remember what I remember when we had children, it was up to the doctors. Some doctors allow you some don't because of malpractice insurance and lawsuits. A lot of them don't even want recording anymore of the childbirth. And but this was even one step further. Because I'm thinking, do people hire professional video crews for childbirth?

Like my girlfriend, Andrea, is a photographer and she's done a lot of our friends like pictures. But video, especially with somebody you don't know, I mean, that's like you're all up in some pretty private spaces.

It's fine not to be judgmental, right? Because for me, that would be like a hard no. You're sweaty. You're in pain. But it's also the part of your child. You might poop. Exactly. Like, I don't think I want to see the ripping, the cutting, the tearing, the screaming. No, thank you. But, like, for the people who have done it, no judgment. Do you re-watch them or look at these?

I went to a watching party once. A watching party? Really? Yeah, years ago, Chelsea and I have a friend named Tracy, and she gave birth to sweet Justin, our nephew, and when she gave birth to him, after she gave birth to him, she wanted us to watch it, and all the girls were watching it. I walked into the room right at the time that Justin's head, and Justin, by the way, has a fro, so he had a full fro being born, and it came out, and I was like, oh my God. She didn't groom

What's going on I'm also fully confident that the people who choose to film their own birth Never had to watch the birthing video in middle school You know nobody wants to watch that again

So we filmed both of our children being born But I just put my own camcorder on a tripod And put it behind their mother's head So it's looking down at just the doctor And you don't see any private parts or anything You just see when our daughter is lifted up and held up. I like that. Yeah, yeah. So you don't see anything that would be private. And honestly, I think I've watched them once, and my daughter's 21 and 18. So it's really more of a – it's more of like I did it so that when they're adults, they can have it and see when they were born.

My favorite picture is Chelsea exhausted and, you know, just holding the kids on her, you know, person. You know, that was it. But my other favorite thing is when you hear people that do video in the delivery room, and it's usually the dad or the father-in-law that are the ones doing it.

Father-in-law. I could not. And I love Andrew's dad. But I could not imagine having him in the delivery room down there when I was pushing out the kids.

And they're videotaping it like they're, you know, a professional. I do wish I had more photos. They work for Channel 7, like Eyewitness News.

Remember, I asked to have confetti cannons when I had Smith, and it was a hard no.

Wow. And it's funny how when you give birth to a baby and you have the video there, you have no problem showing people off your private parts.

I know, but you don't. Still, though, and I think it's a beautiful thing, but I think that should be the capital for just the closest.

Even now, after you have kids, I just feel like you just don't care who sees what. Like, I really don't anymore. Like, to the point where I feel like I'm in fitting rooms at stores sometimes, and I just stand there in my underwear. I literally just don't care. Because people have seen it all.

That's because you like your body.

No, I'm just saying, like, when things have come out of you and people have been all up in there, it's just, like, modesty goes out the window forever.

I also think it's different when you're trying to be sexy versus when you're just, like, being normal. No, yeah. I don't love my body by any means, and Shannon's seen me in my underwear in Spanx. Girl, you're hot. That's very generous. Thank you.
