It's Mojo on The Morning Show. So, Spike, you were out at Planet Fitness yesterday.

00:02:06 - 00:02:12 | Speaker 5:

Love our Planet Fitness. And second time in a week. Where's my trophy? I love that you have to post.

00:02:12 - 00:02:16 | Speaker 6:

I love that you post like, it happened. It actually happened.

00:02:16 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 5:

It actually happened. The guy next to me on the treadmill, his phone kept ringing, and he kept talking very loudly. So, of course, me being on a morning show, I'm very nosy. I'm listening to the conversation. And, like, the third time it rang, he goes, again? And he chatted for a few minutes. And then five minutes later, his phone rings again. And you could tell it was the same person. And so he hangs up and he says to me, I just told her I was on the treadmill. And then he asked me if my spouse calls all day long. And I'm like, well, I'm not getting in this fight. But I said, not really. like i mean meg and i text back and forth but sometimes we go all day without any contact till i get home from work or something we're both very busy during the day and i thought this is a good topic for the radio spouses who just constantly call all day do you know someone like this does anyone have somebody that calls them all day while you're at work and stuff i mean this guy wasn't at work he's in a treadmill but still and then can we talk about spouses who never call you Right, right I know, sometimes like, oh, I haven't checked in all day But yeah, like, you know This is like three or four Maybe it was three, but three calls I was only, listen, I'm only on the treadmill For 20 minutes, I'm not that That good

00:03:32 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 4:

Do you think this guy's got a shady past And his spouse Doesn't trust him or something To call that much, or maybe they had something crazy going on

00:03:42 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 5:

I don't know, I don't know I wouldn't immediately put it on him I have no evidence of that And I was just, you know, he said I'm on the treadmill and then she called him back. So it was like annoying him that he's trying to work out and she keeps calling.

00:03:55 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 4:

I have very patterned conversation with Chelsea during the week when I'm working.

00:03:59 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 5:

One's on the way home.

00:04:01 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 4:

Usually 1230 is the check in time, but it's usually 1230 because that's usually the time that I finally am like free enough to be able to talk. And she does not check in with me before that unless it's just a quick little, guess what I saw on TikTok funny thing. You know what I mean? She'll send me something. But we don't really talk. We're not that couple that talks a lot. And you and Meg aren't that couple either.

00:04:25 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I don't even usually pick up the phone and call. I bet Shannon and Wes are. I text good morning and then we text back and forth all day, but I don't really call. You don't check up on him, though?

00:04:35 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 6:

I call him every time I get in the car coming home from the radio station. So he always knows, like, I'll call whatever time I get in the car. But we text throughout the day. And then if we don't see each other, I'll call him, you know, towards the end of the evening.

00:04:51 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 5:

So a question for both of you. You're on your way home and you're calling. Why are you calling? Like, I just text on my way home. I'm going to see her in 10 minutes.

00:04:57 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

Oh, see, I want to talk to him and see how his morning was. Actually.

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 3:

She always likes to see what we did on the show.

00:05:02 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 5:

If I don't call, then she assumes I'd call and talk to somebody else because I always talk to people in the car. And then she assumes whoever I talk to rates higher than my wife rates. So I have to call. I call right away. And then if she says to me, hey, I got to call you back or I'm busy, I'm like, all right, quickly, who am I going to call now? And I'll call my son Joe or call somebody else after that.

00:05:24 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 1:

I'd much rather call than text. I hate texting all day with people. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. If we want to talk, let's talk for five minutes, but I'm not going to text you for five hours.

00:05:37 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 5:

And then the thing I think that Spike was bringing up that we kind of didn't touch upon was we're going to be home with them for a long time. Now we've just run out of everything we need to talk about. You know what I mean?

00:05:47 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 4:

Exactly. I did not have an exciting day, so I got to save the three things I have for conversation for dinner and for when I see you. I get it.

00:05:55 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 5:

That's a logical thing. Yeah. The illogical thing.

00:05:57 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 4:

I just want to clear my palette and just listen to some music for the 10-minute ride home.

00:06:02 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 3:

I actually think I call my mom more in a day than I call Wes. Really? I call my mom and my sister Jacqueline just for spits and giggles to just be like, oh, I forgot to tell you one thing. Or, oh, did you see this? Did you hear about this?

00:06:15 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Who is this? Is this Poncho?

00:06:19 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 2:

Morning, my favorite gang in the world.

00:06:21 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 5:

What's happening, Poncho? You haven't checked in in a while. Have you been away, or what's the story?

00:06:25 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 2:

You guys haven't done much of a topic For me to actually call it

00:06:29 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 5:

Now you're Wait a second Is that bad on us or bad on Poncho I don't know What's going on

00:06:38 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 2:

So I don't call my boyfriend all day But I will

00:06:42 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 5:

You will text him to tell you love him Is that what you said Your phone cut out Maybe the reason you don't call him Is because your phone cuts out

00:06:52 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 2:

I am a truck driver

00:06:55 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 5:

Wait, so you're a truck driver. How do you kill time? Because I have to talk on the phone when I'm driving.

00:07:01 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 3:

Listening to you guys or listening to a podcast? Okay. I'm glad he's not chatting all day.

00:07:06 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 4:

I don't want him distracted.

00:07:07 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 5:

I know. I'm the worst at that. I would be the worst. The rating system company would never be able to give me any ability to rate people because I don't listen to the radio in my car. And I don't listen. And the other thing, too, is I listen to a minute and two seconds of a song and then flip to the next song. I'm the most annoying person to drive with. I'm like how I do the throwback throwdown songs where I play just clips of them. That's what I like to do when I'm in my car, too. Kara, what's going on?

00:07:37 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Good morning, guys. First time calling in.

00:07:39 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 5:

Ooh, long-time listener, too, hopefully.

00:07:42 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 6:

Yes, absolutely.

00:07:43 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 5:

You got to say first time, long time.

00:07:45 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 6:

First time, long time.

00:07:47 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 5:

There you go.

00:07:48 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 6:

My fiance and I, we text her out the entire day. We are busy, but somehow we find a way. But we do end up having a phone conversation every day after work. Of course, what do you want for dinner? What do we have planned tonight for? Or if I have a slight inconvenience, I do call him. And he has to listen to it.

00:08:08 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 5:

What do you think about this guy, though, on the treadmill at Planet Fitness next to Spike?

00:08:13 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 4:

Three phone calls in less than 20 minutes?

00:08:15 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 6:

i feel like that would be awkward because if you're heavy breathing and stuff that just makes it yeah it just makes you feel really weird on the other end i would feel unless you

00:08:26 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 4:

did he disclose he was on the treadmill well he was on the treadmill and honestly there's a sign right in front of us it says you know keep no cell phone conversations because they don't want people being annoying on the treadmill and i get it you pick up if you're expecting something you just you know make it quick and then be done but she kept calling and calling and i'm like He did just tell her he's working out. So, like, you think this next call could wait a half hour.

00:08:48 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 5:

What kind of a fight would that start if you just showed her that picture and sent it to her?

00:08:54 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 4:

Or just hand the phone to me, and I'll say, I'm sorry, he's working out right now. He can't talk to you.

00:08:57 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 5:

Thank you for the call. What's up, Kenny?

00:09:00 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, guys? How are you guys doing this morning?

00:09:01 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. Good. You're not Kenny from Five Lies to Tell Your Mom, are you?

00:09:05 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 2:

God, no.

00:09:06 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 5:

Oh, did you hear that?

00:09:06 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 2:

My mom would kill me.

00:09:07 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. What's happening?

00:09:10 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 2:

So, I just texted in. Um, so me and my coworker, we're both truck drivers. And, uh, normally I leave for my route in the morning before he does, but normally once he leaves, he'll give me a call and, uh, we'll be on the phone for hours all day. And then like our spouses will call, we'll patch over, talk to them for a minute, get off the phone and go right back to it.

00:09:27 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I imagine truck drivers, you got a lot of time to kill. Like the last caller we talked to Poncho, but like when you're doing things during the day or you're at work during the day, that's where I kind of questioned like, what, you know, Hey, you know, I'm at work. Yeah. That kind of thing.

00:09:42 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. We're both flatbed drivers. We deliver with Moffitt. So we've got a loud machine going all day delivering to customers. And the whole time, we're just on the phone with our Bluetooth, talking, DMs.

00:09:52 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 5:

The people that do that, where they talk all day, they just are like sickening in love with each other. You know? They're talking.

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 6:

Or there's something

00:10:01 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 2:

Were you guys with me? We met a listener I know I met a listener Who her fiancé, I think it was Lives out of town They're going to move in together when they get married And they both work from home And they have each other up on a FaceTime call All day long Even when they're working That is And also

00:10:22 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 6:

You're going to burn out on each other Absence makes the heart grow fonder So says hallmark i don't know and your work and your work and yeah and your boss when you're on the danielle your husband calls you all day when you're at work yeah he does so um i'm a physician

00:10:43 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 3:

and my husband is a stay-at-home dad and he will call me all day long even though he knows i'm seeing patients throughout the day he'll even call me when he knows i'm in surgery and i'll you know say hey what's going on well i'm in surgery i can't talk right now oh my gosh to his defense he doesn't get to talk to adults all day long so i totally get it yeah so so is does

00:11:09 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 6:

he call you with anything valid to ask you like hey what do i do with this with the kids or any of that stuff or is it just does he ever call you while you're working and just go what are you doing yeah oh yeah yeah the what are you doing thing like what do you think i'm doing right

00:11:25 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 7:

If you have a reason to call I get it If you want to say oh my gosh You don't believe my mom just said Or hey can you stop at the grocery store on the way home Or like if you have a reason to call I get it If it's what are you doing It's like I'm trying to get done my day So I can come home and see you

00:11:41 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 3:

Exactly and I wanted to say My sister actually used to be an intern on your show Oh really Who was that I've listened to Shannon I don't know Walker Yes! Oh, yeah.

00:11:55 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 7:

Love Shannon.

00:11:56 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 6:

For a second there, I thought you forgot your sister's name.

00:11:59 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:12:00 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 6:

Danielle, try this with your husband, okay? When he calls you up and he says, what are you doing? Say, it's not what I'm doing, it's who I'm doing. And then hang up the phone.

00:12:09 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, gosh.

00:12:11 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 6:

Just see what happens.

00:12:12 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 3:

No, that would not be good because he's already, you know, worried the whole, like, Grey's Anatomy thing with physicians. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.

00:12:19 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 7:

If you watch that show, every doctor's sleeping with other doctors in the closet. Yeah.

00:12:23 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 3:

Exactly, exactly That's funny

00:12:26 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 6:

We got a doctor that listens to this show, guys Is that unbelievable? I think that's kind of fancy Thanks for the call, appreciate it

00:12:34 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 3:

Well, yeah, no problem, have a good morning

00:12:36 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 6:
