It's good to have you guys here with us today. So on Friday, I was like a bonehead for like the third time in the last month. If you wanted to steal my car, you could have done that on Friday. I have been doing something that I don't know if any other listeners have ever done. Or if any listeners have done it, I want to know if you've ever gotten your car stolen. I have a Chevy Tahoe, which thank you, Gordon Chevrolet. Give me a good deal on that one. I got good payments on that. So I have a key fob for it. And I love the key fobs. It's great. You just got to have it on your person or, you know, whatever in order to be able to get in. And they have the doors where you just touch the doors and it unlocks. It's great. It's a very handy thing. The problem is I, for some reason, have been lately and I've done it at work on Friday. I did it at the mall a couple of weeks ago. And then the craziest thing is I've done it like at the doctor's office. I've done it at like different places. I leave the key in the car, the key fob in the car, and then I come back to the car and I'm like, oh, I didn't lock my car door. Well, the reason I didn't lock my car door is because I didn't have my key fob. And so I leave the key fob in the cup holder and forget to grab it. And I know it has this thing on it. It has this thing that's like where if you leave and the key's still in the car, it will honk at you.

Mine does the same thing.

My problem is I turn that off because I have done the pull into the garage and wake up the entire family, you know, if I come in because I leave my key in the car in my garage. Do you guys do that too?

So I don't do it because I, well, no, I park in my garage, but I don't have that problem because I think it's different for girls because we throw our keys in our purse most of the time and we always grab our purses. but for guys I can totally understand you throw it in the cup holder and then you just like forget about it or whatever but I said this to you you have to be so careful because there have been so many cars stolen from my neighborhood over the past couple of weeks and police you know the police have been going to the door telling everybody do not leave your key in your cup holder like please make sure that you are always bringing your key into the house with you because that's how everybody's cars are getting stolen yeah my girlfriend does it it drives me crazy I'm like

you're making it easy for them just drive off with it i know it's it but you know it's what for me

you know i like to leave it in the cup in the cup holder because i think it's going to remind

me to grab it well then you never lose your key i totally understand that and also it's like i

don't know i i'm an idiot i'm i'm uh and then the problem is this is actually truly the reason why i leave it in the cup holder because when i get home i end up going in the house and then the next day.

I go out or the next time I go, you know, out to the car, I can't find my key. Right. And then it got washed in the laundry and a pair of pants that, you know, got washed. I don't know. It's an, I'm an idiot. Chelsea, what's going on? How you doing?

Oh, nothing. Just here to tell a story about how I was very stupid.

Yeah. So I actually had my car in my garage and I know it's probably a bad habit, but I leave mine in my car as well because when you can just push a button why carry around your keys yeah so um i actually got my car stolen by a 13 year old he broke into my garage ripped open in my garage

door and took my car that's even worse it's bad it's bad that your car gets stolen but to know that it got stolen by a 13 year old is the thing that drives you so defeated i was like i not only

did i get robbed for being dumb um i got robbed by a 13 year old he didn't make it very far because 13 year olds can't drive so he he hit a curb and blew my tire and uh damaged the front end and he didn't make it very far but wow he still stole it and i got woken up by the cops at five in the morning like hey do you know where your car is at because we do okay is this 13 year old like a neighbor kid um he i don't necessarily know where they live um i know they were an issue in a neighborhood in general um they they liked our neighborhood for some reason i just happened to be the first car probably because i'm the only one that had my key fob in the car and kind of set him up for failure i set myself up for failure there oh wow you know it was a 13 year old did it spell like axe body spray or something yeah no i was actually just yeah he he got in trouble for

he got in trouble for it yep uh page you had the same thing happen to you uh yes i what i got in

a bad habit of keeping my key fob in my car and uh i was like uh no one will ever take it but i was at my friend's house one night and i left it in there over the night i went to go to work in the morning and my car was gone and oddly enough it's like bright orange i was like no one will

ever want this thing but they took it yeah by the way that would be the only reason why i would buy an orange car i'd buy it to find it in parking lots and to know that maybe somebody wouldn't steal it because you could find it in you know places although yeah exactly orange is kind of a hot color right now is it yeah i'm seeing a good color i'm seeing a lot more uh orange cars like as options i don't know orange orange is also big too a lot of people like orange uh like watch bands and things like that like that's i don't know if you notice it on instagram uh ads and stuff you'll always see like the watch band ad always has a guy wearing an orange one what's up Deanna hi how's it going good what's going on did you also pull a bonehead move like I did

oh mine was even worse than yours I ended up switching over from night shift to day shift at work and I was going through the ticket booth into our parking lot and I was so sleepy because I hadn't slept I ran right through the ticket booth pole and broke it so I was so nervous Going into work That I completely left my door open to my car Left the keys running They had to call the police They thought I got kidnapped at work So they had to call me at work And make sure that I present myself To the police officers So they know I didn't get kidnapped at work

Oh my god, that's crazy I always wanted to know Because I see it in movies all the time On a high speed chase The person goes through the little stick That little wood stick Yes, it was so embarrassing Was it kind of cool, though, to be honest?

I mean, yes and no, because I was like, I destroyed work property. But I was, like, terrified because I'm like, oh, my God, I have to get inside work. I don't want to be late. And then I just left everything the way it was.

Listen, even worse than that, I've done this, and I know, Shannon, you've done this. I've left the car running, too.

For hours. Oh, mine was running. Mine was running. Oh, yeah, yeah. My car was running, door opened, the ticket booth, like, the ticket was half pulled. So they literally thought I got kidnapped while pulling out the ticket.

Wow, that's crazy. Well, I just had to, like, feel my pocket to see if I had the key.
