i feel like this is a michigan girl thing maybe an ohio girl thing as well i can throw you you girls into it too megan where you just don't care if it looks cute with your outfit we're used to it after all of these years of growing up in this crazy weather. So I was with some girlfriends in Ann Arbor over the weekend, and we were celebrating my friend Andrea's 40th birthday. And so we were all dressed up to go out to dinner, and then we went bar hopping afterwards. I wore these clear, plasticky stilettos. Worst idea ever, by the way, because where we were in downtown Ann Arbor, excuse me, the streets were blocked off for some reason, so they weren't cleared. so all of the snow and slush and just grossness was still there it was just a big mess so my poor friends who were smart and wore boots like actual cute boots or booties instead of stilettos took turns carrying me on their backs as we went from bar to bar and i said i swear this is a michigan ohio girl thing we do not care if there are there's eight inches of grossness on the ground if it goes with the outfit, you go for it.

You wear it. Or the skirts.

I also saw tons of girls without coats on because they didn't want to bring their coats into the bars or whatever. And I'm like, this is also just very normal here.

I think coats is way more normal than the shoes because here's the thing. When I get snow and a heel and that ruins my entire night because my feet get weird and then frigid and then wet and then damp for the rest of the night, I'm going to be a bitch. A coat I can leave behind I can be cold for a few minutes To not have to carry it around Especially in places like Don't have coat checks So coats I understand I kind of think you're alone on the heels I think you're a psychopath

Well I am a psychopath But it has more More to do with other things than the heels

It's so good. But at some point, don't you sit there and think to yourself, they'll forgive me. There's 13 inches of snow falling outside. I can actually put on a pair of boots if I want to.

Yeah, it's not all Michigan girls because I'm bundled up. I'll have boots in a big color.

And you know what's so funny? By the end of the night, I was just, the heels were hurting me. It wasn't even that I didn't even walk through the snow anymore. And I just took them off. It was walking with my bare feet.

Well, at least you got the snow to comfort you.

Can I ask this question, though? If the weather's that bad, can't you guys all get together in a group chat and just say, hey, can we all just jeans it tonight and jeans and boots it or something like that? Yeah, but we did.

There's always that one friend that doesn't listen.

Katie, are you that one friend? No. Nope. She's the bundle-up one, she said. Yeah, you're the one that ends up having to carry your friend. Yeah, right.

Exactly. I'm the one that carries them.

And I feel bad I feel bad for It's like Megan was talking about The jacket or the coat person I feel bad for the person that's with them That's driving Because you're the one that gets yelled at For not having the heat high enough When you're the one that's not wearing Or dressed appropriately enough For the conditions out there And it's funny because we yell at our kids These are moms that are going out Dressed like this And they yell at their children Who are not dressed appropriately For their school

It's so true We are all hypocrites
