It's Mojo in the Morning Show. When Megan just told us this, I was like, wait a second. Megan is fighting with somebody over a baby name Because Megan you're claiming that that baby name is the name Your baby name

00:01:30 - 00:02:20 | Speaker 3:

Let me tell you I feel like it is my right As an American citizen Hold on let me say this seriously It is my right as an American citizen to call dibs on baby names Even though I have zero interest in currently having children I know I know I know But, like, I am dead set on the names I would like for my imaginary future children. Like, dead freaking set. And it is my right to pass on these generational family names. I am curious, though, on your thoughts on this. My grandfather had an amazing name. Now, somebody took his middle name and made it the name of her daughter. And somebody else took his first name and made it the middle name of their son.

00:02:21 - 00:02:23 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so. And who are these people that are related to him?

00:02:23 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 3:

These are all my cousins.

00:02:24 - 00:02:25 | Speaker 5:

Okay, okay.

00:02:25 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 3:

We were all very close to my grandfather. He's the best human being on the planet. I mean, I'm Irish, so he was our pop, but our pop was the best guy in the entire world. And I really, really, really, I don't think this is going to be shocking to everybody, have a weird obsession with Harry Styles. My grandfather's name was Harold. Let me tell you. Oh, this is perfect. Win-win for me. I love the name Harry. And my cousin, who I hope she's listening right now, I'm going to call her out. Her name is Tiffany. They named their child with the middle name Harold. They have started calling him by his middle name the majority of the time, which, again, is Harold. And I think that is off limits. You chose that as a middle name, and that is my imaginary child's future name. And I think it's absolutely ridiculous that you think it's okay to call him by his middle name even though he's alive and well in a living game.

00:03:15 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 5:

Why are they not calling him by his first name?

00:03:17 - 00:03:38 | Speaker 3:

They do. He responds to both. He genuinely responds. If you're like in a crowded room and you call out this kid's first name or his middle name, he'll turn around and respond. I do that with Smith. Yeah. Yeah. So like he responds to both. And I think that's absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for. But OK, so but she she has a child already exists. Yes. Correct. A living human.

00:03:38 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 5:

Can you claim, is that possible, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, is it possible to claim a baby name when there is no baby?

00:03:49 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, because I'm the youngest of 50-some cousins, and I don't get, the Irish Catholics love to reproduce. It's the only thing we're good at. Holy, truly. God above. Truly. And I. First cousins. Yeah.

00:04:05 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 4:

So everybody looking at you crazy for not having kids. you're the all liar yes this same thing happened to my mom though my mom uh obviously i'm the first child and i have a younger sister named melinda my mom wanted both of our names to start with k's she wanted me to be kevin for my younger sister to be kiara and she shared this with one of her friends the friend got pregnant before my mom got pregnant with my sister and named her daughter Kiara. Oh, boy. Bro, my mama was sick. Every time she would see her, I'd be like, she stole my... My mama was pissed,

00:04:40 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 5:

bro. We have somebody that wants to join the conversation here right now. Harold's mom is on the phone with us.

00:04:48 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 6:

Tiffany? That's me. I'm guilty. Hi, Harry's mom. Hi.

00:04:54 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 5:

Do you call him Harry or Harold, or what do you call him? Harold.

00:04:59 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 6:

That is...

00:05:00 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 4:

That's his great-grandpa's first name. It's my husband's middle name. And I love the man. He was the best. So that's Ashton's middle name. Okay.

00:05:12 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 6:

And Pop, just to be clear, loved Tiffany more than he loved any of his blood relatives.

00:05:18 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 5:

Tiffany, are you aware that Megan has such disdain for you because you stole her invisible baby's name?

00:05:27 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 4:

No, I did not know that. Imaginary baby.

00:05:29 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 6:

sorry but not invisible it's not a real existing child but i do think it's i i'm very bad at you tiffany because that's his middle name and he should never go by it uh ever no matter the family connection and how important he was all of us that's mine well you know blame that on

00:05:51 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 4:

your aunt kathy okay because she gave nick that name as a middle name yeah so what was i to do You know, that's Mick's little name.

00:06:00 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 2:

And actually, you have more claim to it because of that than Megan does. Wait, do you have a cousin named Mick Mick?

00:06:06 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 5:

I'm confused. Tiffany! Is that really its name? No, no. Oh, okay. Different last name. Correct. Okay. That's how we kept the family name. I love that. Mick Mick. I love that. That would be actually funny. Made name for a first name I love.

00:06:20 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 2:

Well, Tiffany, she's filing a cease and desist right now. She's already called the attorneys.

00:06:26 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 4:

Ooh. Okay, well, what do you suggest we change his name to? I think you just call him by his first name. Okay, well, the reason we started calling him Harold is because he's the bad kid.

00:06:38 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 2:

That's funny. That is so funny.

00:06:41 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 4:

When he was little, I always had to middle name him. I always had to say, like, Ashton Harold, Ashton Harold. And so it got so annoying, so we just dropped the Ashton part and would just be like, Harold.

00:06:54 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 6:

Oh, what a good story. I love him so much. Tell him I said hi.

00:06:58 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 2:

See you, Tiffany. Take care.

00:06:59 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 5:

Did you ever hear the story about Lucy? So Lucy was a name that I wanted forever and ever and ever. And I loved I Love Lucy and Lucille Ball. And everybody in my family knew that. My half-sister Bridget, and I love her, but got this cute little white dog and named it Lucy. Oh, that's even worse. And I was like, guess what? Not a dog. If I ever have a daughter, I'm still naming her Lucy. Oh, the dog. And I did. So now we have dog Lucy and girl Lucy in our family.

00:07:25 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 2:

Stephanie, what's going on? Hi.

00:07:28 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 5:

Good morning.

00:07:29 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 2:

What's happening?

00:07:30 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 9:

First time, long time. Hey there. Stephanie's on the phone. I was just calling to comment. We were pregnant with our first.

00:07:41 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 2:

We lost you. You were pregnant with your first child. Yes.

00:07:44 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 9:

We were super excited about the name Kate and Jay for our boy. And we found out that my brother-in-law was expecting. They actually went into lit early and stole the name Hayden. So now we have cousins, Hayden and Kayden.

00:08:01 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no. They just changed the letter. That's interesting. It's kind of cute. Is that good, though, or is that okay? Is that more appropriate?

00:08:10 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 9:

I'm a little salty about it, but I like it now.

00:08:13 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's wild. Chris, actually, you guys stopped talking to family members because of a name?

00:08:18 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 7:

Well, my cousin stopped talking to me because when my daughter was born, I gave her the same name of the child she was going to name her child if she had one. So I haven't talked to her in well over 25 years. Oh, my God. At our grandmother's funeral, she refused to come to the grandmother's funeral. Our grandmother's funeral, I showed up.

00:08:45 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 2:

All because of the name. Man, names are serious.

00:08:48 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 7:

And to be honest, I don't remember her wanting this name. I was just reading a romance novel.

00:08:55 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 2:

Remember back in the day, that used to be the thing. People would name them after romance novels or soap opera stars. What's up, initial A? Your voice disguised.

00:09:04 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 1:

Yes. So my brother just found out that they are expecting, and he texted me and asked if he could steal my boy name. But when I was pregnant with my daughter, they already had a boy name picked out. So why are you trying to steal mine? Use yours.

00:09:21 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no. I guess yours is better. What did you say to him? Did you say yes or no?

00:09:26 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 1:

No. Absolutely not.

00:09:28 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 2:

What do you think he'll do?

00:09:29 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 1:

If I have possibly another child, I need that one.

00:09:33 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but what if you don't have a child and now that name goes unused?

00:09:36 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 1:

Too bad.

00:09:38 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 2:

All right. Whitney, what's happening? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:09:42 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 8:

Good morning. My cousins, this topic is hilarious because my cousins are currently, like, not talking to each other because we all had a discussion about dog names, and they both had the same dog name they wanted. And one cousin got the dog first, and so she named the dog that, and so now they're...

00:10:00 - 00:10:14 | Speaker 3:

totally mad at each other and it's a celebrity dog name it's sir barks a lot it's not even it's not even either of your names so it's crazy so it's all over a dog you're not going to talk

00:10:14 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 5:

to family members because of babies and dog names is that the craziest all right we'll talk to you later whitney we'll see you soon all right i think megan just needs to rush and have a baby and make it yours because I think that you have to have proof of ownership or something like that with the law.

00:10:31 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:10:31 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 5:

Proof of usage or something like that.

00:10:33 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 2:

Or if you don't want to have a baby because we know you're not, that may not be your path. Right. Get another dog and name it Harry.

00:10:41 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 4:
