00:01:50 - 00:01:54 | Speaker 1:

We're following the case live as the criminal charges finally come to a conclusion.

It's Mojo on the Morning Show. I get Megan on this one. I get why she, you know, feels this way. But I'm going to give her an opportunity. And this is not a Megan minute. This is a Megan moment here right now.

00:02:16 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 5:

So I have a really big pet peeve right now. And it all stems from a lot of comments that I've been getting on social media. and i knew this was going to be a product of me talking about the struggles that i've been having while losing weight but i i just feel like there's no winning lately it's so frustrating um i i all i wanted to do was have people notice and i think we talked about this last time the most frustrating thing in the world has been people noticing and the way that it has affected me in a way that i didn't really expect well now we're in the second wave and it's comments that i'm getting on social

00:02:48 - 00:03:03 | Speaker 6:

media can i stop you for one second while she sets up the cameras because she's going to tape this thing i already started but now do you already started it yeah come on real quick will you tell the listeners how much weight have you lost about 50 pounds that's incredible

00:03:03 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 5:

50 pounds okay with my left hand i'm not gonna lie i'm really impressed that was a good

00:03:11 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 6:

we're all proud of you

00:03:14 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 5:

so the comment that i've been getting now a lot and i i truly enjoy people being like hey i've been struggling this with this for a long time because i've been there i get it a lot of people are asking you know what have you been doing yeah and maybe it will work for me i'm so willing to share with people i don't think they're gonna like the answer uh but i am so willing to share with people but i'm getting a lot of those comments and if i don't get to them in time people will just start saying the ozempic is ozempicking number one there is nothing wrong with ozempic or any other weight solutions those are tools that benefit people and help people and should not be degraded or used as a weapon against somebody for not losing weight the right way number two I tried so hard to get on Ozempic. Are you kidding me? I went to three different doctors and nobody would give it to me. You don't think that I tried. I did. But the big thing is it really is a degrading weight. And I feel like when it comes to being overweight, there's absolutely no winning ever, no matter what you do. If you don't lose the weight, people hate you. If you do lose the weight, people say you didn't do it the way they would have done it. So they look down upon you. And it's just so frustrating to know that no matter what I do, I'm always going to be looked down upon other people.

00:04:41 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 6:

So people are saying to you, you have had people say that you must be taking one of the shots or doing the jabs or whatever the deal is.

00:04:49 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

Which, by the way, I know you're meaning it as an insult. That's 1,000% your intention behind saying comments like that is to degree people for saying, wow.

00:05:00 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 3:

I thought I was better than you because I was skinnier than you. And now that you're getting skinnier, I have to say that I'm better than you another way. So you cheated to lose the weight. This wouldn't have happened if you didn't use the tools.

00:05:09 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 2:

I don't get why people are so pissed off. Like, I have a lot of friends who are doing, like, the shots, not Olympic or whatever they are. But, like, who the hell cares? But it's not new either. I don't understand why that's such a sticking point for people.

00:05:21 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 5:

Can I tell you where I think it got to, where it made a level? It was the Kardashian level. It's the people who are not necessarily, you would think, overweight that are doing it because they want to lose weight and they're using it as a way to be skinny.

00:05:35 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 2:

Okay, but also, who the hell cares? It's not you.

00:05:38 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 5:

But the problem is that when those guys started doing it, celebrities started doing it first, and then they were taking it from people who were diabetic who needed it for medication. And then, remember, they cut it off, and that's one of the reasons why doctors weren't being able to give it. But so long story short, I get, I totally understand that that's where it got its bad negative, you know, contacts. But it, you said, you said an analogy in our pre-show meeting when we were talking about this topic that I think you should use this analogy right now. You remember your analogy?

00:06:08 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. I mean, you would never look at a cancer patient who is on medications to help them battle cancer and go, you cheated cancer.

00:06:16 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 5:

You chemotherapy?

00:06:17 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 3:

How dare you? But I also don't think this is new with like Ozempic. I really don't. I think it was the same thing when, like, gastric sleeves and bariatric surgeries became popular. It was the same thing in the early 2000s when people were using. And this is horrific, but laxatives were, like, a really big thing. Like, it's always been if you lose weight, it must be diminished. And it's so frustrating.

00:06:42 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 5:

And then diets, like Atkins diets and things like that. I think that one of the things is it doesn't make a difference who you are. even skinny people think that they're heavy right so so when you see people that do lose weight you're like oh my god i gotta know i want to know your secret and honestly i think it's almost like you want to think that the secret is that you took the quote unquote easy way out by doing this the the uh the shots but i take it as somebody that struggles with my weight and you know right now I've kind of gone through this whole thing where I'm trying to watch the times of day I eat and stuff like that. You have lost weight doing it the way that everybody for years and centuries have told you that you had to do it. It's basically you had to watch what you ate, but you also had to exercise too. That's how you're losing weight, right? Am I safe to assume or have you even told anybody?

00:07:40 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 3:

I haven't told anybody. I don't think it's anybody's business, first of all. I really don't think it's anybody's business.

00:07:45 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 5:

but it's funny when you tell people how you lost weight and they go oh really because you don't want to know it that way you want to think it's an america miracle drug or something even with

00:07:56 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 4:

mojo when we did the ideal you and we we started losing weight with ideal you people would find then pick it apart to try to find the negative in it right right it's just a way to tear people

00:08:07 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 3:

down no matter what because no matter how i answer that question no matter how i answer it somebody's going to tell me i'm doing it unhealthy i'm wrong this is going to hurt me in the long run i'm going to gain all of it back yet like it does not matter what the fill in the blank is people have to put their input in guess what nobody who's on this journey is asking for your input shut up i'm sorry it's so aggravating it's so aggravating when you talk about the examples

00:08:35 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 5:

uh with the cancer example that people go through this is in a lot of cases this is your cancer this is your alcoholism this is your whatever your vice is and you wouldn't tell a person that has cancer or a person that has as alcoholic or a drug abuser wouldn't oh how dare you try to give up doing that stuff to do it you know what i mean it is a struggle it is a very very big struggle i think it's funny i think though that you're right that people i think i think people who have um weight issues and maybe i think this because i am that but they're the butt of jokes and they're it's okay to like make fun of them because you know they can you can make fun of them but marlene what's up it's mojo in the morning hi

00:09:19 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 1:

good morning hey megan i'm a yo-yo big girl too you know my weight one one minute here one minute there but i think it's because people think when you use a tool you're doing it the lazy way i've been told that oh that's the lazy way but it's not because you have to put the work in still it's not like a anything you do is not magic even the weight loss surgery you still have to put the

00:09:45 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 2:

work in or you'll gain the weight back yeah i also think that's yourself yes that is an unfair accusation as well for somebody to say that because the lazy way is doing nothing when i

00:09:55 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

lost 100 pounds everyone's like oh when did you get the surgery i didn't get a surgery they argue with me

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, you did. Well, no, I didn't. But even if you did, who cares?

00:10:04 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 1:

And listen, the only surgery that would help me would be wiring my mouth shut. That would be the only surgery that would help me. But I will tell you that I went, so I never really talked much about this for a while, but I went to like a weight loss place to like go and talk about the possibility of getting that surgery. And I remember going and sitting there in the room with other people that were going to do the same thing because they make you, your insurance companies make you do that. and I remember sitting there in the room and a guy sitting next to me basically was telling me all of the things that people would tell him about his weight and why he was fat and everybody always gives you and when Megan just brought up that cancer analogy it made me think to myself how unreal is it that you can say to these are complete strangers he was from an insurance company well no but it's like you just wouldn't say that to somebody that you wouldn't walk into a hospital waiting room with somebody that's got you know no hair because they lost it because of their treatments that they've been getting and go let me tell you

00:11:06 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 7:

why you got cancer right you know or even like i love this part like to a man who needs to be on the little blue pill you'd never be like you're cheating you're having sex that's true that's true it's a great analogy um you should be able to do that naturally hey hayley what's going on

00:11:26 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 3:

hi guys um so i had gastric bypass surgery and the amount of criticism just for considering it was just unreal um like the last caller said people would say oh it's the lazy way you can just work out just change your diet just do this just do that and it's like i made an educated decision for myself i wanted to be healthier for my kids i wanted to just be able to live my life I mean, I'm young, and I still have the surgery young, and it's just mind-blowing to me how people can judge you for something that you chose to do for yourself.

00:12:06 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I just honestly, I'd say to them, you know, move away from me, or I'll eat you.

00:12:14 - 00:12:15 | Unknown:

I'm the next.

00:12:15 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 1:

Get me out, baby. You know what I mean? Listen, I'm so damn proud of Megan, and I'm not proud that you've lost weight. I'm proud that you are doing something that you truly, and I truly believe this is, has made you feel good and feel better.

00:12:33 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 6:

It made you happy. I think that was a therapy. I think this is a side effect of actually caring about myself again, which I won't say because I do not equate it to losing weight because I think I cared about myself. I started to care about myself again before I lost the weight. It's a side effect of that. But that's why I was like, I don't want to give everybody my advice on what I did because not everybody wants to hear it. But once I realized I was worth taking care of, I started putting in the effort again.

00:13:02 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 1:

Your therapist is going to get a frickin' Nobel Peace Prize.

00:13:05 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 6:

He really deserves it. He really deserves it.

00:13:08 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Morgan. What's up?

00:13:11 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 4:

Hey, so I was just going to say I've kind of had, I guess, like the counter or the opposite experience of Megan with, like, disclosing information because I am an open book. but it almost, like, strikes people, baffles them that I share so much that they'll come up to me and they'll whisper as quiet as they can, who was your doctor? Because I had DSG surgery, and they'll want information, and they don't expect me to be so open about it, and they're taken aback that I'm willing to share how I lost the weight.

00:13:38 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and it's one of those things where there are some people that are more vocal than others, and then there are some that are, you know, that want to be private. but i would just say just you know be happy for them be happy for people that's the problem is nobody can ever be happy for anybody you know like nobody like honestly if you see somebody that goes out and buys say a new car or whatever you all go oh they must be rich you know well no maybe they were driving a car for a long period of time and saved money and decided to do it or maybe they're not rich maybe they're you know check to check and this check this is going to be hard don't sit

00:14:13 - 00:14:21 | Speaker 2:

there and look at them differently i don't know if it's a midwest thing that we do that and then we feel like we have to justify well i got a good deal on it well i well i you know i did this and

00:14:21 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 1:

i didn't know you right you did it you just did it you're right mike you should be able to you should be able to just say whatever the hell you want uh and be happy about making that purchase uh even if in my case it's ozempic anybody got ozempic for me i'd love some caitlin what's up

00:14:40 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 5:

Hi, actually speaking on your little comment about Ozempic, that's exactly what I was going to talk about. The issue, I understand that people have an issue with people, like we have a big issue of diabetes in our country. So I kind of see like a little bit of like why people are so hateful about it.

00:15:00 - 00:15:15 | Speaker 6:

But the fact of the matter is that all medications have different uses. We may primarily use it for one thing, but the side effects of something might actually help treat another condition. What was Viagra for?

00:15:17 - 00:15:18 | Speaker 5:

Viagra was originally for?

00:15:19 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 6:

Heart conditions. It was? It was. Exactly. It was originally for heart conditions. Now we use it for pumping up men.

00:15:25 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 5:

Hold on. Pump. Up the jam. No, that is absolutely true. And honestly, you talk to a doctor that will sit there and talk about the Ozempics and stuff like this. And they said, I'd rather have you use it before you're a diabetic than use it because you're a diabetic. Let's at least stop.

00:15:45 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 6:

And I just want to make a quick comment real quick. Megan, it is a huge deal that you lost 50 pounds.

00:15:52 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:15:53 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 6:

Especially without something like that. Like, the fact that you lost so much, that's, like, some people look at that and they're like, that's a freaking miracle, okay? So, you be proud of it no matter what comments people make to you because you did it. It's wrong to want a cake to celebrate, right?

00:16:10 - 00:16:11 | Unknown:

No.

00:16:11 - 00:16:19 | Speaker 6:

That's delicious. I swear to God, I've been just... She said, you came in this morning and you were like, all I want is a piece of cake, all I want is a piece of cake.

00:16:19 - 00:16:24 | Speaker 5:

But you should, by the way, you should definitely have those moments when you do. Oh, I do. I do.

00:16:24 - 00:16:30 | Speaker 6:

But you know what I do know? I walked to Greektown to go to the bakery to get it. I forced myself to, like, go walk to get it.

00:16:30 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 5:

Good for you. Congratulations to you, Megan. We're very, very proud of you. If you would like to see Megan's boudoir photos, she's going to be doing those soon. Will you do that? Oh, my.

00:16:41 - 00:16:53 | Speaker 6:

Only once I have a doctor pick these boobs back up again. The link to subscribe will be in the Mojo in the Morning Instagram account. Do you want to see me unroll my boobs at this point? I don't, like, scoop them in my bra. I just roll them up.

00:16:53 - 00:16:55 | Speaker 5:

Could it be weird if we said yes to that? Yeah.

00:16:55 - 00:17:24 | Speaker 3:

All right. They've taken over cities before, but this July they're bringing the X games league championship home to new Orleans, July 24th through 26 at the superdome over a hundred elite athletes competing for the first ever league title. Plus Metro booming JID subtronics and bunt performing live. New Orleans doesn't just host the moment. New Orleans is the moment. Get your tickets now at xgames.com.
