This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:01:07 - 00:01:52 | Speaker 2:

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, people in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be there you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or any 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four year.

00:01:52 - 00:02:00 | Speaker 4:

Mojo on the morning show. Shannon would like to start off with a Shannon minute.

00:02:20 - 00:02:23 | Speaker 7:

I don't know if I've ever done one.

00:02:23 - 00:02:32 | Speaker 8:

What do we call yours? If we got Megan Minnett, we got to think of something. A Shannon, I was going to say, I almost said the word. No, Spitstorm. I was going to say, I almost said Shannon Spitstorm.

00:02:32 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 7:

I like that. Okay. I am so frustrated and blown away by this, but how, how is it that there are a bunch of grown adults who work in this office, this beautiful new office in Eastern Market for iHeartMedia Detroit, and people are still stealing food that does not belong to them. I will F you up, bitch. I want, I bring, I go to the grocery store and I buy K-cups and liquid IV pouches. Do you know what liquid IV is? You add it to your water. It's electrolytes. I, it takes me a long time to find specifically the bomb pop flavor, which I have found at a very certain target. So I bring in boxes of these various things. I write my name on them in the big, the fat Sharpie. Okay. So it is very apparent that they say Shan across them. Yet I'm coming in in the morning and a brand new box of K-Cups has two left. and this has been happening over and over again for the past couple of weeks so last week i decided i was like okay i'm gonna multi-factor authentication my k-cups and my liquid iv and so not only do they say my name on the front but they both both boxes now have sticky notes on them where you can like open up the the lid or whatever like open up the side to get into them then the sticky notes say stop these our these are not yours or like something i don't even know what i wrote on both of them but it still i went in this morning and there are four liquid iv pouches

00:04:13 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 6:

left of a brand new box what in the actual f you know these are not yours there's a problem with our building where we get enough free stuff that like it does get a little bit confusing as to what is for grabs and what isn't with you you labeled it so it's like they're still at fault they're cell phone but i remember the other day i threw in i had walked to a convenience store in eastern market and grabbed a few red bulls and i came back here and i just threw them in the fridge because i was afraid they were going to explode in my car so i was like i'll throw them in the fridge here and at the end of the day i'll take them home with me and at the end of the day there were two missing and i was like those were like eight dollars like they're like four dollars each

00:04:49 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 8:

there's no like it's and the funny thing is i don't think we we get food but we put it up on this table yeah like that's where it usually goes and if it goes in the refrigerator by the time it goes in the refrigerators.

00:05:00 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 1:

been sitting out long enough it's got listeria the people that grab like cans of things or yours

00:05:06 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 3:

the packages of things that have someone else's name clearly well you know what you need to do

00:05:12 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 1:

you made a mistake you should have not put your name on this the pack of the box you should put

00:05:15 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 3:

your name on each individual matter they don't care but the problem is though you see it you see

00:05:21 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 1:

the name on there whoever's holding it in their hand if then we then we need to have like citizens a restaurant here we need to if you see somebody with one you have to go hold on we're gonna go

00:05:30 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 3:

see shannon here right now it sounds so dumb and petty but every morning it puts me in such a bad mood where i'm like what we need to figure out who it is we need a camera we need yeah we need

00:05:42 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 1:

to put a ring cam you know what i am ordering a ring cam i'm ordering a ring cam right to the we're gonna find out can i door dash a ring camera to us i i think i have two don't even spend your

00:05:54 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 3:

money i think i have two that i'm not using that are you sure yeah i'm gonna i'll bring one even

00:05:58 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 1:

if it looks i'm gonna do it right now and let everybody see them we're gonna put it in there

00:06:02 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 3:

right now it's driving me so crazy i don't think we can film our co-workers i don't care who cares

00:06:07 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 2:

when i used to work at quicken we caught someone it was a member of the cleaning staff after we would work late at night like i walk in there i was you know staying super late it was like 10 p.m she was in the refrigerator like looking through lunchbox are you claiming

00:06:24 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 5:

Hello, everybody. Are you claiming no? I'm not pointing any fingers.

00:06:29 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 1:

I saw her yesterday. She pulled me aside yesterday, and she's like, Mojo, you need to talk to the powers that be. I am very upset that this radio station only has these toilets. You know what she said after that?

00:06:42 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. But the bomb pop Keurig. Yeah. The bomb pop Keurig. Liquid IV. Hello, everybody.

00:06:48 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 3:

But kind of like you said, Shannon, my Red Bulls were like a certain flavor that they only have, like for a couple of weeks at a couple of locations and when you deep dive and get that like i want to stab you it took me hours to find that and i don't want to be 12 years old and have to hide my stuff so that people don't take it hold on a second here hold on i'm gonna i'm i'm uh

00:07:10 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 1:

and i'm facetiming the traffic department here i'm going all the way to the we have a we have that. Devita. Good morning. How are you? Hey, Shannon is saying that some of her personal items that she has in the kitchen are getting stolen. You and your shady group of people back there. We're the shady ones. Yes, exactly. You're the shady ones. You guys come in here in the middle of the night. Is it Heather Pascoe? You know, Heather is always here. I

00:07:45 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 4:

I will say that, but yeah, your shady items coming up, missing the miniature size coffee months, Shannon, you can have them back.

00:07:52 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 3:

No, those are not mine. I don't, those are, those are free for all.

00:07:56 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 1:

She, she's, she's losing, she said some of her Keurig cups and what was it?

00:08:01 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 3:

The liquid IV packets.

00:08:02 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 1:

And liquid IV packets are going. You guys aren't stealing any of those, are you?

00:08:07 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 4:

No, we, we in the shady area, we have to bring our own coffee.

00:08:11 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 1:

Oh.

00:08:12 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 4:

Oh.

00:08:13 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 5:

Wait, what?

00:08:13 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 4:

We just don't have to use our own coffee, and we try to stay out of the way.

00:08:21 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 1:

All right. Well, listen, watch out, because there's going to be a ring camera set up there in about five minutes. How great is it to work in the same building with DeVita again? Have a nice day. We love you, DeVita. You're the best. We'll talk to you later. We'll let you get back to traffic and all that stuff. See you. Bye.

00:08:39 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 2:

Go Cast Egg Football.

00:08:40 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Hold on a second. Michelle, what's up, Michelle? How you doing?

00:08:45 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 5:

Hey, it's Michelle. Hello, guys.

00:08:47 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 1:

What's up? How you doing?

00:08:49 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 5:

What the H, Shannon?

00:08:52 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 1:

Right? I mean, this is craziness.

00:08:54 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so we're putting the camera in the refrigerator because this is insane.

00:08:58 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I mean, hey, let me just say this. Shannon, she knows, you know, that she's about as generous as anybody. There's probably nobody on the show that's more generous than Shannon.

00:09:09 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 3:

You would take that.

00:09:10 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 1:

Well, but, no. I'm not going to the grocery store. But here, exactly. She had, you know how many kids she's got now in her house with getting married with other, she's got 18 kids in that house.

00:09:21 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 3:

Seven dogs. Seriously. You can't keep track anymore. You can't afford, but I can keep track of how many K-Cups I have. I know every day when I leave how many I have. You sound psychotic.

00:09:33 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 5:

You know what? I'm telling you, when I used to work at the hospital, I used to hate that. So I've been working from home since COVID, but it's like, I used to take stuff to work. I'd be like, I'd be so pissed.

00:09:43 - 00:09:45 | Unknown:

I'd be like, who ate my stuff?

00:09:45 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 3:

It is that dumb thing that can put you in a bad mood for the day instantly in the morning. It's stupid, and I know.

00:09:52 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 1:

You have the best day. By the way, real quick, did you say her name was Michelle or Nisha? Here's Rhonda.

00:09:57 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 3:

Let's watch what Rhonda comes out of the kitchen with.

00:09:58 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, we love you.

00:10:00 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 2:

We love you.

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 3:

Wait, Shannon, what did you say?

00:10:01 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 2:

There's Rhonda walking into the kitchen.

00:10:04 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 3:

If she comes out with it, hold on. Lydia, you're the closest to that area. If she walks out with Shannon's stuff, tackle that girl.

00:10:15 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 5:

Do we have a wireless mic? That bitch is going down. I love it.

00:10:18 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 4:

Do we have a wireless mic?

00:10:21 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 3:

No, we need a wireless.

00:10:22 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 4:

I do have a wireless mic. No, for the board.

00:10:25 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, we could just go right out there right now. You can call on your phone. Go on your phone. and I'll pick it up on the phone.

00:10:30 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 5:

Do you want me to go?

00:10:31 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, or, well, you can't because you got crutches. I feel like she's going to get offended. How are you going to go? I can go. Yeah, somebody go. Here, hold on. Nikki, what's up, Nikki? Nikki, it's Mojo in the morning. Good morning. What's going on?

00:10:43 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 5:

My husband used to always get his lunch stolen from work, and so I started putting it in a regular grocery bag and writing stuff like Riddle's poop sample for the vat on there. Uh-huh. But they were still getting stolen, even then. So, one day, my husband caught the guy because I put something in his lunch. It was these Smarties candies that you cannot get in the United States. A friend of them had brought them back from Canada because he knew I loved them. And Jules caught the guy standing there eating them like he just grabbed them at the corner store. And he called him out, and the dude got busted.

00:11:21 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I love it. You know what? Put Ex-Lax in it, and then we'll find out who it is. Hold on. Megan's going out there. Megan, we go live right now on the streets to our investigative reporter, Megan Mick. Megan, hello. Hi.

00:11:35 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 5:

Hello. I'm glad to be here this morning.

00:11:39 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 3:

Do we have Rhonda there?

00:11:44 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 4:

You guys, there's people circling the kitchen. The perpetrator is in the room with you.

00:11:48 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 3:

Rhonda, you did this back in the day, too, Rhonda, and we accused you of this. We want to make sure you're not taking any of Shannon's stuff out of that room, are you?

00:11:58 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 4:

No, no. As a matter of fact, her name's on it, and I bring my own coffee. Oh, see? My own spirit cup.

00:12:05 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 3:

All right, so she knows. But maybe she noticed because she's been swiping a few. Yeah, how do you know that her name is on there? Are you sure?

00:12:12 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 4:

Well, I don't know. Let's see. Open the cupboard, and it says Shannon.

00:12:17 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it is huge. Okay, all right.

00:12:19 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 4:

And check out the Post-it note on the back, please. I'm not effing around. Oh, my God.

00:12:25 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 3:

What does it say on the back?

00:12:25 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 4:

Stop. These are not yours. Well, you know, it's funny you say that, because I put a bottle, when I go to work out after work, I put a bottled water in the fridge, it's all, somebody stole that, somebody stole my rubble, and now you know what I do if I do that? I drink out of it and put my lipstick all over it. Oh, that's a good idea. You know what? Leave your mark. I want to tell you something, Shannon, I do want to tell you something, though. It's funny because I have, I bought, and I keep my coffee at home and just bring the two Keurig cups I want to use in the morning. Yeah. But I bought the Dunkin' at Walmart, don't like the coffee, and I thought, ooh, I should give this to Shannon. Oh, thank you. Because I don't like it. Yeah, that's my favorite kind. I'm going to bring it to you tomorrow to prove. She's talking too much. Yeah. She's talking too much.

00:13:19 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah, your lawyers would tell you you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you. All right, Rhonda, we love you.

00:13:26 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 4:

No, I don't think it's Rhonda.

00:13:26 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 3:

No, I love you.

00:13:27 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 4:

I've got to be honest. I would admit it, and as a matter of fact, I would ask her. I'm like, Shannon, could I steal a cup of coffee? No, she's honest. And that's the other thing. If somebody asked me, I'd be like, yeah, of course.

00:13:37 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 3:

Hold on a second. Hold on. Ken, what did you do? Ken?

00:13:42 - 00:14:10 | Speaker 2:

I used to work at a factory, and I'd bring those big, you know, 12 hours. I'd bring one of those big orange coolers in, you know, that you would see like at a soccer game or something like that. I'd fill it full of Kool-Aid. Well, by lunch, it would be over half gone, and I couldn't figure out who was drinking it. And I said, you guys want to share the money? No, no, no, we're not drinking your stuff. So the next day, I filled it up with cherry Kool-Aid, put a big old bottle of cherry X-Flax in there. And then I just sat back and watched.

00:14:12 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 3:

That's how you do it.

00:14:13 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 2:

Just right before lunch, the machine shut down and like four of these guys went hauling ass up the...

00:14:20 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 3:

You're the smartest man ever. Ken, that's fantastic. Thanks, buddy, for listening. I appreciate you, man.

00:14:28 - 00:14:55 | Speaker 1:
