Mojo in the morning. We got great neighbors. I know we do. I love them. But I don't necessarily know if these are things that you should ask another neighbor to do. but strange strange asks if you're a neighbor Megan what's up so this guy I know he was in a

00:04:05 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

really really bad car accident um like about a week or two ago and his back is super messed up and he unfortunately a lot of times with back injuries you kind of have to wait a long time before people take you seriously so he's going through all these doctor's appointments and it just it's a pain in the total behind and he's struggling well he got stuck on the floor in his living room because he was laying down trying to relieve some of his back pain and he couldn't get back up oh god which is hysterical i uh laugh in the face of his pain uh but he needed help obviously to get up off of the floor and one of his neighbors had a key to his place like as an in case of emergency if he ever got locked out it's somebody that he kind of knows but i don't know if he is super close to he had to call that person ask them to come over let themselves in

00:05:00 - 00:05:03 | Speaker 6:

Help pick him up off of the floor. Oh, my gosh.

00:05:04 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 2:

That is so sweet.

00:05:04 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 6:

Thank God for that neighbor. Amen. Exactly. But also, I think I would rather die on that floor than call anybody to come over to pick me up.

00:05:15 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 2:

But what would you do if you got a call from a neighbor that asked you to pick them up?

00:05:18 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I would absolutely go and help. But for me, this would become a situation where I'm like, yes, I do need life alert on a daily basis now.

00:05:27 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 2:

So if this was you where you were laying on the floor, your decomposed body would be there weeks or months or years later.

00:05:36 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 6:

Absolutely half eaten by my dog. And that's how I wanted to be because I would rather do that than ask for help.

00:05:42 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 2:

You know what's funny about this is I think of my neighbors, like Jen across the street from us. She is a teacher, divorced mom, very, very nice. She is always great at helping us out anytime we need help with anything. Letting the dogs out. Like if I have a late day and Chelsea's not able to get home to let the dogs out.

00:06:02 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:06:03 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 2:

But I also get occasionally, and Chelsea gets it more than I do, a call from her to the fact that there's a lot of packages on the front doorstep, you know, Amazon stuff. And she'll say, are you guys out of town? And I feel judged because we're not out of town at the time that that happens. They just all came in one day. They're just all there at the same time. Yeah. She brings our packages in for us all the time. She's so sweet when that happens.

00:06:25 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 1:

I almost had to call my neighbor, Lisa, across the street, who thankfully is a friend of mine. This was a couple of months ago, like before the holiday. But I got stuck in a dress that I had been wearing. And it wasn't that I couldn't unzip or unbutton it. It was literally just so tight around my armpits that I had gotten it over my body. But I couldn't get the rest of it off. Lisa's got to be a good neighbor. And I thought, I'm going to have to call. And it was a week. I didn't have the kids. So there was nobody at my house, and I thought, I'm going to have to call Elise to come over and caught me out of this damn dress. Thankfully, I ended up just ripping it and getting out of it.

00:07:01 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 2:

Okay, with that said, is there any listeners that have ever had to call their neighbors to have them come over and help them get out of Spanx?

00:07:10 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 6:

Again, I think I'd rather die.

00:07:12 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 2:

Would you?

00:07:15 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 6:

I've woken up in Spanx that I was still wearing from the night before, and I thought I had died. I woke up and I couldn't breathe.

00:07:22 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 2:

Mike had his neighbor, remember, the other day? We talked about it, say that he could borrow his vacuum to vacuum the lawn, which was kind of an interesting thing.

00:07:30 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 3:

There was that one time, too. I was on the roof doing something. I don't remember what I was doing. I was fixing gutters or looking in gutters or trying to get leaves out of the gutter, and I slipped, and I started sliding down the roof, and I thought I was going to fall off the roof. And I'm like, this is it. I don't know what I'm going to do if I fall off the roof. There was nobody at the house. It was just me. I could just yell and be like, I'm in pain. But at that point, I'd be so embarrassed from falling off the roof I think I would just lay there I don't think I'd call anybody

00:07:54 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

If you get on a ladder, do you wait until Allie is home with the kids to do it? I do now, I didn't before Yeah, because I have had to change a couple of batteries and ring cams and stuff And I don't do it when I know that somebody in my house is not home Because I do have that fear that I'm going to fall and be on the front driveway And my kids are going to be coming home or my wife's going to be coming home All right, Mojo in the Morning, what is the strangest ask that a neighbor has ever asked you or you had to ever ask a neighbor? Julie, how you doing?

00:08:31 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 5:

Doing good. How about you?

00:08:32 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 2:

Good. Did they ask you or did you have to ask them?

00:08:37 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 5:

No, they asked us. So you know how you go to neighbors sometimes and they'll, you know, do you have a, what's the thing, you know, a cup of sugar or a couple of eggs or something? Well, our neighbors had recently had their home broken into and their entire collection of porn had been stolen. And they actually came over and asked if we had any porn movies they could borrow. No way. Stop it. Yeah. Yeah. Yep, they did. But keep in mind, these same neighbors, I think they are swingers because when we first moved in, they introduced themselves. He was wearing silk boxers and she was wearing a camisole set And they were in their backyard and introduced themselves to us

00:09:22 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 2:

Do you have the belief that that was their way of trying to flirt with you By asking you that, maybe?

00:09:28 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah, yeah I mean, from the introduction and then, you know, asking to borrow porn Oh, my God Yeah, they're quite odd

00:09:37 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 2:

Emily, a little different than the porn Did you have to call for a neighbor? What was the story? Emily is issue oh yeah this is me how you doing Emily what's going on so I

00:09:52 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

didn't have anybody call for me or a call for anybody else I have a comment for Megan and anybody else that's listening if you

00:10:00 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 7:

ever find yourself in a position where you have fallen or you know you can't get up from something um you can get a hold of your local fire department yeah prior to uh almost every fire department has a lift assist um that they'll give you a phone number and you guys can call some are free some are not so make sure you what if i can't get out of address yeah what about that

00:10:22 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 3:

00:10:38 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 7:

00:10:53 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 8:

00:11:41 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 8:

00:11:47 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 2:

00:11:54 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 8:

alex what's up hi how are you we're doing good alex we're talking about the strange asks that neighbors will sometimes call and be neighborly about so my neighbor called me uh i

00:12:09 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 6:

had her daughter at my house it was my her birthday the daughter's birthday and the and She had gone out with her husband and sister. She called and said, oh, my God, you have to go across the street to my house. Don't tell my daughter, but I think her cat died.

00:12:23 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 8:

Oh, jeez.

00:12:24 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 6:

So I ran across the street, and the cat was lying on her son's lap, and he was crying, and the cat was not breathing. Oh, my God. And he started crying, and he said, please, can you save it? And I gave it mouth to mouth. Oh.

00:12:39 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 8:

Oh, and did it revive and come back to life? Do we have a good ending with this?

00:12:44 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 3:

It did not. Oh, Alex. I mean, what a good person. You are a good person.

00:12:51 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 6:

I had its whiskers in my mouth. Oh, my God. I didn't try chest compressions.

00:12:58 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 8:

By the way, I hope that they got you something for that. Did they buy you a gift or anything?

00:13:04 - 00:13:14 | Speaker 6:

I mean, they're very good neighbors. They do stuff for us all the time. So it's all a wash. I'm not sure. I think I went over and above, but I'm not sure. That was amazing.

00:13:14 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, CPR for the cat. Last call here, Voices Guy Sally. Sally, we're talking about neighborly neighbors. What's up?

00:13:25 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 1:

Hi. So a couple days ago, one of my neighbors came over and nicely knocked on a door at almost 3 o'clock in the morning and asked for a condo.

00:13:35 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Desperation.

00:13:38 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's very crazy. That's why I asked me the voices, guys, because it was very recent. Did you bring condoms?

00:13:45 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 8:

Wow, that's an amazing thing to just knock on your neighbor's door at that time of the morning, let alone to ask if they have condoms.

00:13:54 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 1:

Also have dress. Yeah. We stay in a part of Sterling Heights where, you know, the stores and the gas stations close very early. You'll have to kind of go out closer to the city if you get one. So I guess he just left a date and, you know, must have been in the middle of his due. And he came and he actually asked my fiancé, because him and my fiancé kind of built a rapport over the past couple months. So he asked me, he was like, is your fiancé home? And I was like, yeah. He was like, I know this is very weird, but I need a condom. Do you guys have one? I mean, props for being safe.

00:14:26 - 00:14:34 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. Shannon says, I have to grab this next one, and it's going to make your butt itch. What's up, Breanne?

00:14:35 - 00:14:36 | Speaker 4:

Hi, good morning.

00:14:37 - 00:14:42 | Speaker 8:

Good morning, Brianne. We're talking about the interesting things that a neighbor will ask you to do for them.

00:14:43 - 00:15:05 | Speaker 4:

Yes, this one was very awkward. I had just moved in with my boyfriend, now husband, and our 93-year-old neighbor came over one day. My husband was at home, knocked on the door with her bio freeze in her hand, and asked me if I would rub it on her. her back and butt it was extremely awkward and i had no idea what to say but i helped the poor

00:15:05 - 00:15:12 | Speaker 6:

lady oh that's nice what a neighbor you are that's so sweet that's it that's an ask right there

00:15:12 - 00:15:32 | Speaker 4:

so what did she actually like pull down her pants so you could do it well she kind of just like walked in our house and like proceeded to like close the door and just kind of pulled her little skirt down, and she's like, yeah, right here, and I just rubbed it on, and she's like, all right, thanks, have a great day, and walked out of the house and left.

00:15:32 - 00:15:35 | Speaker 6:

Where do you live? What neighborhood was this?

00:15:35 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 4:

Well, at that time, it was in Sterling Heights.

00:15:38 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 6:

See, that Sterling Heights is a common one. It is. If you want neighbors that will give you condoms or-

00:15:45 - 00:15:46 | Speaker 3:

Biofreeze on your booty.

00:15:46 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 6:

You go to Sterling Heights. By the way, isn't it known for the golden toilet?

00:15:52 - 00:15:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we've got that lovely golden butthole on it.

00:15:55 - 00:16:03 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, the Golden Butthole there. Yeah. All right. Thank you for the call. If you haven't ever seen the Golden Butthole, it's a wonderful fixture along Hall Road there.
