Wake me up when it's over. Good morning. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Happy day after Super Bowl, everybody. The only thing exciting about last night's Super Bowl was the post-Super Bowl video of people in Philadelphia trying to climb light poles and falling on their faces. I mean, that was unbelievable. Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles and Philly fan for winning the Super Bowl last night. Other than that, even my food was bad. What's going on, guys? How are you? Oh, real quick, before we go any further. Twenty-five. There you go.

00:02:18 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 5:

Don't ever say I don't pay my bills. There you go. Don't ever say I don't pay my bet. I'll save it for the cuss jar.

00:02:24 - 00:02:30 | Speaker 6:

You could have made it a lot bigger, but you had no, actually, I don't even think you cared who won.

00:02:31 - 00:02:44 | Speaker 5:

Did you care? I wanted the Eagles to win. Did you? Yeah. I wanted Saquon to get a ring. Brandon Graham, who's from Detroit, played at Michigan. Dad is a listener. I wanted him to have fun. Okay. We did what we were supposed to do. All right. And Jalen Hurts, man. I know you don't like him, but.

00:02:44 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 6:

No, I love Jalen Hurts. I think we should have drafted the guy in the second round. Yeah. We picked Okuda or whatever the hell his name was in the first round, and then we picked in the second round. I didn't know who it was. Oh, that was that draft. We should have picked Jalen Hurts. Everybody should have picked Jalen Hurts. Everybody missed on that one. I don't know. I mean, listen, we're going to talk everything. The halftime show is obviously probably the most talked about of everything. That's probably where a lot of people will have an opinion. But is it just me, or was the game off from the start? Unless you're truly from Philadelphia or a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan, Weren't you going, all right, this sucks. You know what was the game? Watching Travis Kelsey and how depressed the man looked. Somebody get that guy some therapy, for God's sake.

00:03:29 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 3:

Somebody get that guy a stylist.

00:03:31 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 5:

What the heck was he wearing on his way into the game? What happened? Out of Bruno Mars' closet or something like that. And his hair.

00:03:37 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 6:

What's up with his hair these days? It's Taylor. It's the Taylor effect. Is it? I mean, is she draining the energy out of that poor bastard? He's lifeless. It is craziness.

00:03:47 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to be honest with you. The Chiefs lost when they had Jon Hamm do that introduction. What the hell was he doing? You know what? That was actually interesting.

00:03:54 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 6:

Luke, the first thing Luke said was, this is the best they can get is Jon Hamm.

00:03:58 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 4:

I love Jon Hamm. What's wrong with Jon Hamm?

00:04:00 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 6:

Well, they had Bradley Cooper to Jon Hamm. I think Bradley Cooper. I think they're on the same level. No. But Jon Hamm, I don't think of Jon Hamm when I think of Kansas City Chiefs. I think of Paul Rudd. Yeah, for sure. You know what I mean? Or what's his name? What's the comedian's name? the other guy from there that's like one of the Will Ferrell

00:04:20 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 2:

guys. I think I like the modern family guy.

00:04:24 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 6:

No, I forget what the guy's name is. I don't know. So there's a whole bunch of other people, but I will say this. The most exciting thing that happened yesterday in that entire game was getting a FaceTime from Shannon's son

00:04:38 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 5:

Smith during that game.

00:04:40 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 6:

Shannon and Smith FaceTimed during the game, and Chelsea and I were more excited.

00:04:45 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 5:

All of a sudden, we're like, Shannon's FaceTiming. What's going on? You need to call Mojo.

00:04:51 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

That was so damn cute. That kid, by the way, is the, first off, get that kid and whoever his stylist is to Travis Kelsey.

00:05:00 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 4:

now because that's how you look travis you look like smith holy crap that kid's the coolest kid

00:05:06 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 1:

around so how does how was smith during the halftime show he okay so we were at a party where there were a ton of people and a ton of kids and i look over and he is singing every And I look at Wes, I'm like, how does he know I'm the worst mom ever.

00:05:26 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 4:

Isn't that the greatest one?

00:05:27 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 2:

Like, oh my God. Sometimes you got a pop-up show. Certified rookie man, I'm the one that up the score. Walking down the whole time, I know he got some ho, po. This door, shh, bully the fro. Six, eight. I hit you like your jaw. Oh, thank you Jesus. You better like him or go to sell block one. To any, they talk to him and they in love. Just make sure you have your little sister from him. I hope that Drake sues the crap out of the NFL. It'll just ensure his little bitch status.

00:05:59 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 3:

And he said that, too. Yeah, he did. He said that in a performance. You know they like to sue.

00:06:03 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 4:

You know what's funny? I did not know that Serena was a former Drake. Oh, yeah. I did not know that.

00:06:09 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he made songs about her. That's why him and Common started to beef. Yeah. Because Common was in a relationship with Serena and Drake. They had the whole thing.

00:06:16 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 4:

Man, I had to get brought up. Here I am. I work on the morning show and stuff. I have no, but I, I will say this. I thought the one thing was, and maybe I have to go back to past Super Bowls. Do they all lip sync the entire halftime? Pretty much, yes. Why is it that I felt like, I felt like Usher was singing last year.

00:06:33 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 1:

No, they started doing it after the Justin Timberlake. Really? Boop thing, right?

00:06:37 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 3:

Maybe it's, maybe.

00:06:38 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't know. I don't know if, if it was that one, but yeah.

00:06:42 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 3:

I don't think SZA was lip syncing the whole time though. I think the first song she was. Yeah.

00:06:46 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I don't... Do you think Kendrick was the whole time? I don't think he was either. I don't think he was the whole time either.

00:06:50 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 4:

Why is it that they didn't have SZA do some of her songs? Because it's the Kendrick show. I know, but she should have been... Well, does he not like women? Let her have her time. Yeah.

00:07:02 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 1:

I remember Alicia Keys sang live, and it was bad.

00:07:05 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 3:

Was it? They're going on tour. This was the Kendrick show. She was a guest. She came on. She filled a row.

00:07:10 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 4:

Listen, everybody has an opinion on that halftime show. I'd love to hear what yours is. It was incredible. That's the opinion. I stand by what I said on the air during Shannon's Dirties, you know, months or weeks ago when I said I felt like you had to give the old people something. Like, I felt like there had to be something for them. And Samuel L. Jackson is not enough. You can't just give me Samuel L. Jackson as Uncle Sam.

00:07:36 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 2:

Salutations. It's your uncle. I thought he was going to curse. And this is the great American game.

00:07:45 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 4:

If he would have said, get those mother effing snakes off that mother effing plane, I would have lost it. That would have been the greatest.

00:07:52 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 3:

Kendrick is so intentional, though. He's such a storyteller. So to have Samuel L. Jackson be Uncle Sam and to have this, in some respects, politically charged performance that said a lot of stuff without him having to say anything.

00:08:05 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 4:

Can you explain what it meant?

00:08:07 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 3:

I can speculate, but until Kendrick or Dave Free, who's a part of Kendrick's teams, comes out and say this is what it meant, it's all just my thoughts and hyperbole. But I will say there was a point where obviously his background dancers were dressed in red, white, and blue, the colors of the American flag, and they positioned themselves as the American flag with Kendrick in the center of it. so some speculate that he talked about the dissension in america and how in many respects maybe kendrick maybe rap music maybe a black man i don't know that's where it gets you know muddy is at the center of the dissension at times so that's and then you know you have uncle sam played by samuel jackson and he talked about how his first record don't be too ghetto don't be too loud don't be too crazy america doesn't like that and then he started to flow more into the songs and yes this is what they enjoy this is what they like now you're fitting in okay all right well i

00:09:01 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

gotta tell you that at uh certain points during the entire thing i'm i'm watching it going all right is he gonna do not like us i was wondering if that was gonna not be a song he was gonna do because of all the hype of the lawsuits and all the rest set and then i thought maybe he'll do a different version of it but then he came right out and did it and i'm like okay this guy he's he's going to put it all out there and I don't I think it still would have been incredible to bring America together to bring the world together and have Drake show up at the very end no that was it would have been to show that we can all just love we can all be loved why do we need to love people who are accused of that kind of behavior but do we know for a fact is it all alleged I don't know I listen let's ask Millie Bobby Brown I'll wait I'll wait till a court of law as Kevin says uh accusations what's going on zach how you doing false hey what's happening mojo how are you buddy did you have fun watching that super bowl all right man happy monday yes

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. How are you doing?

00:10:02 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 1:

I'm doing okay, yeah. I seen Kendrick's face. He looked right at the camera when he said Drake's name. I lost it. I lost it.

00:10:12 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 7:

Question for you. Did the game and the halftime meet your expectations? Or did you feel let down a little bit? Because I still was thinking to myself, why is Jared Goff not on that field right now? You know what I mean?

00:10:25 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 1:

I agree. I was rooting for Detroit big time. I'm actually a Patriots fan, but I've spent my whole life really a winner.

00:10:32 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 7:

And speaking of that, we know one thing for sure. When Mahomes lost that game yesterday, Tom Brady's still the GOAT. That's a fact. Don't talk to it. Don't you dare. And Tom Brady's wearing a $750,000 watch. What? That might be the ugliest watch I have ever seen.

00:10:48 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 6:

I agree with you. We'll talk about that.

00:10:52 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 7:

It was fake. It was so bad. Bree, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi.

00:10:58 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 2:

Hi, good morning. Good morning. I just wanted to say Eric Stonestreet is like the Andy Reid book. Oh, that's right.

00:11:05 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 7:

I forgot about that.

00:11:06 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 2:

So he's always at the games.

00:11:08 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 7:

He's Cam or something, right, from Modern Family?

00:11:11 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Yeah.

00:11:12 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 7:

But he's not even the guy I'm thinking about. I'm thinking about, what the hell is that guy? I'm telling you, it's the comedian, Thunkel or Runkle.

00:11:21 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 5:

Caleb Heron is a comedian who's from Kansas City?

00:11:24 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 7:

No, there was another comedian. Hold on. Google comedians from Kansas City. What's his name? You got it? It's on the tip of your tongue. It is. It's right there. It's the guy that I'm telling you that does the stuff with Will Ferrell all the time. What's up, Kirsten? How you doing?

00:11:36 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 1:

Rob Riggle. Rob Riggle.

00:11:39 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 7:

What's up, Kirsten? Kirsten, you know Rob Riggle. What's up, Kirsten?

00:11:44 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 4:

As a diehard Eagles fan, that was the best, best Super Bowl ever. Oh, stop it. And I'm a super Kendrick fan, so this was just ideal.

00:11:53 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 7:

Are you serious? You thought that, listen, why, why do you guys in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Eagles fans hate Santa Claus? Explain that to me. What did Santa ever do to you guys?

00:12:05 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 4:

I have no answer for what any of the Eagles fans are responsible for, but I mean, they keep it entertaining to say the least.

00:12:13 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 7:

I will say this. You have to admit if it was a Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions Super Bowl, you could have put me at halftime rapping songs. And it would have been – nobody would have said anything. They would have, oh, it's great. Look at that. But the game would have meant something. That game didn't mean anything. Like, I think going into halftime and seeing how bad the Chiefs were playing. Like, it was – I mean, Patrick Mahomes looked so bad. I mean, it was amazing to see all the mistakes that they were making. True, what's up, True? True.

00:12:47 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 3:

I – yeah, I was just calling because my daughter, she just kept chanting, Jared Goff, Jared Goff. All day. She was so sad that she didn't get to see him up there.

00:12:58 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 7:

You know what's funny? I talked to a friend of mine that works for Monday Night Football, works for ESPN and ABC, and he was working the game because they pull everybody in for the Super Bowl. He said that when he was walking up and down Bourbon Street, there were more Lions jerseys, sweatshirts, everything. He said it was unbelievable. You would have thought that the Lions were playing in the game. That's how many Lions fans were still there. We were supposed to be there. We spent that money to go. No refunds. Shanitra, what's up?

00:13:28 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 5:

Good morning, everyone. Good morning. Best halftime show in mojo on my Facebook. I said, how did you like that to you? Because you're going to stay off of Kendrick. Now, Cam, you can vouch for me that he is the best. He's the greatest. And he deserved that.

00:13:47 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 7:

Wait a second. As he says. We gotta be humble, Shanitra, come on

00:13:54 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 5:

Be humble, I'm very humble And I love it, and I can't wait for the concert for Mojo

00:14:00 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 7:

You know, yes You know what I'm doing? You know humble I'm gonna get you those tickets coming up here in a second Do you have your tickets yet? Of course I'll take more

00:14:11 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 6:

Somebody needs to explain this to me

00:14:14 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 7:

How is anybody these days affording a $500 ticket? I cannot believe that is the most expensive ticket. Like, let's come on, Kendrick. Be humble. Be humble, for God's sakes.

00:14:27 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 5:

What about Beyonce?

00:14:29 - 00:14:30 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Listen.

00:14:31 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 5:

What about the rest?

00:14:32 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 7:

Kendrick Lamar is now officially best country artist of the year. Hands down. Congratulations to him.

00:14:39 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 5:

I got it. I got it. I got it.

00:14:41 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 7:

We love you. Thank you for the call. We appreciate it.

00:14:43 - 00:14:47 | Speaker 5:

I love you guys. Thank you so much. Have a great day. Have a blessed day.

00:14:47 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 7:

I can't wait to see the ratings. They were talking before this game about how it was going to be either one of two things. It was going to be the best Super Bowl ratings ever or the worst Super Bowl ratings ever. And I'm really intrigued to see. Because.

00:15:00 - 00:15:14 | Speaker 4:

Everybody seems like there's nothing else to watch. You know, I don't know what you're watching besides this. But I'm really interested to see what the second half ratings were to the first half ratings. Like, did people turn away? I really wish. I think so. I wish I would have just said, I'm done.

00:15:14 - 00:15:15 | Speaker 2:

I didn't watch the game.

00:15:15 - 00:15:16 | Speaker 4:

You didn't watch it at all?

00:15:16 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 2:

I didn't watch the game. Oh. I was super sick all weekend, so I went to bed super early. I watched the halftime performance this morning, getting ready.

00:15:24 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 4:

Wow. You know what? Good for you, because guess what? You didn't miss anything at all. Doesn't that make you feel good when you go to bed early?

00:15:29 - 00:15:30 | Speaker 2:

Oh, because I was super sick.

00:15:31 - 00:15:32 | Speaker 4:

Well, do you feel better now?

00:15:32 - 00:15:33 | Speaker 2:

No, I feel like crap.

00:15:34 - 00:15:39 | Speaker 4:

Oh, geez. All right. Well, I do too. I eat more nachos than I probably should have eaten yesterday.

00:15:40 - 00:16:06 | Speaker 6:
