The only thing exciting about last night's Super Bowl was the post-Super Bowl video of people in Philadelphia trying to climb light poles and falling on their faces. I mean, that was unbelievable. Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles and Philly fan for winning the Super Bowl last night. Other than that, even my food was bad. What's going on, guys? How are you? I don't think SZA was lip syncing the whole time though. I think the first song she was. Yeah.

Why is it that they didn't have SZA do some of her songs? Because it's the Kendrick show. I know, but she should have been... Well, does he not like women? Let her have her time. Yeah.

Listen, everybody has an opinion on that halftime show. I'd love to hear what yours is. It was incredible. That's the opinion. I stand by what I said on the air during Shannon's Dirties, you know, months or weeks ago when I said I felt like you had to give the old people something. Like, I felt like there had to be something for them. And Samuel L. Jackson is not enough. You can't just give me Samuel L. Jackson as Uncle Sam.

Salutations. It's your uncle. I thought he was going to curse. And this is the great American game.

If he would have said, get those mother effing snakes off that mother effing plane, I would have lost it. That would have been the greatest.

Kendrick is so intentional, though. He's such a storyteller. So to have Samuel L. Jackson be Uncle Sam and to have this, in some respects, politically charged performance that said a lot of stuff without him having to say anything.

Can you explain what it meant?

I can speculate, but until Kendrick or Dave Free, who's a part of Kendrick's teams, comes out and say this is what it meant, it's all just my thoughts and hyperbole. But I will say there was a point where obviously his background dancers were dressed in red, white, and blue, the colors of the American flag, and they positioned themselves as the American flag with Kendrick in the center of it. so some speculate that he talked about the dissension in america and how in many respects maybe kendrick maybe rap music maybe a black man i don't know that's where it gets you know muddy is at the center of the dissension at times so that's and then you know you have uncle sam played by samuel jackson and he talked about how his first record don't be too ghetto don't be too loud don't be too crazy america doesn't like that and then he started to flow more into the songs and yes this is what they enjoy this is what they like now you're fitting in okay all right well i

I will say this. You have to admit if it was a Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions Super Bowl, you could have put me at halftime rapping songs. And it would have been – nobody would have said anything. They would have, oh, it's great. Look at that. But the game would have meant something. That game didn't mean anything. Like, I think going into halftime and seeing how bad the Chiefs were playing. Like, it was – I mean, Patrick Mahomes looked so bad. I mean, it was amazing to see all the mistakes that they were making. True, what's up, True? True.

I – yeah, I was just calling because my daughter, she just kept chanting, Jared Goff, Jared Goff. All day. She was so sad that she didn't get to see him up there.

You know what's funny? I talked to a friend of mine that works for Monday Night Football, works for ESPN and ABC, and he was working the game because they pull everybody in for the Super Bowl. He said that when he was walking up and down Bourbon Street, there were more Lions jerseys, sweatshirts, everything. He said it was unbelievable. You would have thought that the Lions were playing in the game. That's how many Lions fans were still there. We were supposed to be there. We spent that money to go. No refunds. Shanitra, what's up?

I can't wait to see the ratings. They were talking before this game about how it was going to be either one of two things. It was going to be the best Super Bowl ratings ever or the worst Super Bowl ratings ever. And I'm really intrigued to see. Because.

Everybody seems like there's nothing else to watch. You know, I don't know what you're watching besides this. But I'm really interested to see what the second half ratings were to the first half ratings. Like, did people turn away? I really wish. I think so. I wish I would have just said, I'm done.
