mojo in the morning uh mike uh i don't know how much more time you have to be with us but i would like to if we can can we get a couple moments to talk about yeah the almost major

00:02:27 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 7:

emergency with your sweet little guy yeah uh so sebastian is three it's my youngest and we just got back from like vacation we're doing the unpacking thing where we're kind of throwing everything put stuff away and i'm packing the camper and stuff and my youngest comes running up to me and he points to the top of his mouth and he goes i thought he said pen like he like poked himself in the mouth with a pen and his new thing is band-aid So I was like, oh, buddy, I'll get you a Band-Aid. You'll be OK. And then he runs into the bathroom and tells my wife. And she comes out with a horrified look on her face. And I'm like, what? And she's like, where's his other lucky penny? And I was like, I didn't know he had a lucky penny, first off. And she goes, yeah, he had two of them because Milo had one and he wanted two. I don't know. She's like, it's been in his pocket all day. Do you know where it is? And I'm like, no clue. And then he points to his mouth again and goes, pen. And I went, penny. He swallowed the penny. Oh, my God. Still mid, like, getting home. And I was like, well, where is it now? We didn't see him do it, so I still don't know if he really did. And he points to his throat. And I'm like, oh, geez. Okay, well, let's get you some water to start off with. And we start, like, getting ready to call the doctor. And so he starts drinking the water. And then probably five minutes later, like, he drank so much water, he just starts throwing up everywhere. Oh, my gosh. And I'm like, where is it? Where is it? Like, we're looking in the toilet to see if it came out. We're kind of scrambling all over the place because we have two older kids and they put things in their mouth. And I think Cess has swallowed maybe like a marble or something. Oh, like this was much bigger. This was a penny. Like, it was huge.

00:04:08 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 6:

Do you guys like your kids not have candy at home that they like to stick in their mouths or what's going on?

00:04:13 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 7:

Kids just stick stuff in their mouth all the time, like random things. And so then he points to his belly and he's like, it's in my belly after he threw up. And we just kind of sat and waited And no more than two seconds, three seconds later He's grabbing like a balloon he found And he's chewing on that now And I'm like, what are you doing? What are you doing, man? Chill

00:04:31 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 6:

You know, as a parent, that is the worst thing The worst thing is knowing that your kid's choking The second worst thing is knowing that they are not choking And they actually swallowed whatever they, you know, put in their mouths Is a penny, can you get, it's made of what? What is a penny made of? Is it copper?

00:04:49 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 1:

Part of it, I don't think they're all copper anymore but copper. I don't think a penny is, like, I think that you just, they would tell you to wait to poop out a penny. And make sure it comes out. Yeah. Will it?

00:05:00 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 6:

now. Really? Piggy bank. You know what's funny is that I haven't seen Sebastian in the longest time because Mike's not a regular where he's every day on the show and we don't have as much interaction, facial interaction with him. We talk virtually like everybody else does. It's wild to think that Sebastian's already speaking. At what point does a kid start talking? How old is he? He's three now?

00:05:29 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 5:

He's three. He's just saying little words and phrases. Like, okay. Like, full sentences.

00:05:33 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 6:

Does he swear at all?

00:05:35 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. He's said words before.

00:05:39 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 6:

Is there an occasional, like, swear word pop out of his mouth that he heard from mom or dad?

00:05:43 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, he's like a parrot right now. So anything you say, he repeats. He does. Like I say, damn. He'll just say, damn.

00:05:51 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 6:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What's the worst thing that your kid ever swallowed that freaked you out? and eventually does it come out? Like, we still haven't gotten that penny back. So he still only has one lucky penny.

00:06:05 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, there's only one. If we find it, too, I don't know what, I think I'm going to keep it. It'll be the ultimate lucky penny.

00:06:10 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 6:

Could you imagine if it stays in his system forever until he's a grown 25, 30-year-old? And then all of a sudden poops it out. And poops it out. I think that can happen, can't it?

00:06:22 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 3:

Can't stuff like randomly stay in your body?

00:06:24 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 6:

His wife says to him, hey, is there a penny in the... he'd call you guys up in a second and go, you're not going to believe it the penny finally came out of me

00:06:34 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 5:

we had something like this happen with Ces where she said she swallowed a penny and she didn't actually swallow the penny we thought she swallowed the penny so we were doing the same thing we took her to the doctors, got the x-ray or anything and they're like, there's nothing in there hey Jake, what's going on Jake?

00:06:52 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 4:

hey Mojo I have to tell you man my kid, my 12 year old boy And he swallowed some Chinese, some beef and noodles, a steak.

00:07:02 - 00:07:02 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:07:02 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 4:

Well, a piece of steak was like six inches long. And it folded over on itself, and he swallowed it, and he choked on it.

00:07:09 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God.

00:07:10 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 4:

I literally had, yeah, I literally had to give him a Heimlich and turn around and stick my fingers down his throat to pull it up out.

00:07:17 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Thank God you did.

00:07:19 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Is he okay? That was a scary situation. Yeah. I took him to the ER the following morning. I ended up actually putting two holes in the back of his throat from my fingers. Oh, my God. Getting it down in there and pulling it out. Oh, jeez. Yeah.

00:07:37 - 00:07:38 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

00:07:38 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 2:

By the way, this is so crap. Holy cow, I did not know that that was even possible. I don't know if I can eat Chinese food ever again. Me neither.

00:07:45 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, man. That was scary.

00:07:48 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 6:

Oh, gee. Chelsea always says that I put so much food in my mouth sometimes that I'm going to choke. Can you imagine Jake putting his fingers down my throat? Hey, Sarah, what's up?

00:08:01 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Yeah, honey. When our daughter was three, you know, I didn't have your daughter's hair and all these pretty little birets. Well, she got one of the birets and swallowed it. She got stuck in her throat. So imagine the panic in everybody's face trying to get this biret out.

00:08:16 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:08:17 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 3:

It's good and great.

00:08:18 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. And then when you see the x-ray.

00:08:20 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 3:

My mother had to stick her finger. Oh, so you got it out.

00:08:24 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 6:

Your mother stuck her what? Her finger's down the throat, too?

00:08:26 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 3:

finger my mother stuck we had to stick her finger in there to get the barbara out oh or she probably

00:08:32 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 6:

would have died she was after jake a second ago you can actually poke holes i didn't realize you could poke a hole that's crazy me either me either thanks for the call sarah i appreciate it uh hold on uh katie what did your kid swallow oh my goodness so long time caller long time

00:09:21 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 6:

are as bad as tide pods because remember those kids were all getting right oh oh my gosh kendra

00:09:28 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 2:

what did your kid swallow mojo first time long time it wasn't my kid actually it was me i swallowed a penny too oh this is like 30 years ago all right

00:09:42 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 6:

So tell Mike, Mike, listen to this one. Kendra, say hi to Mike.

00:09:46 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Mike.

00:09:47 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Kendra. All right, so from your being a child like Sebastian, Mike's son, you swallowed a penny. What happened?

00:09:55 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, I was pretty young now, so I don't remember, but I have a story, and I swallowed the penny.

00:10:00 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 4:

And my parents, I still have the penny, actually. It's a memory book. And my parents said it was the cleanest penny that they ever seen. Like, the smallest penny they ever seen. After it came out. Your body cleaned it? After it came out. My body is like a penny cleaning machine. It just...

00:10:16 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 2:

It's kind of like your stomach acid or something, right?

00:10:20 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 5:

How long did it take for the penny to come out?

00:10:23 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 4:

My parents said the next day it came out. Wow. They called the doctor, and the doctor was like, you know, it'll come out one way or the other. and it came out.

00:10:31 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 1:

Wow. The next day. Searching for a week and a half.

00:10:33 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 4:

You got a good system. Right. And my daughter swelled a, you know those squishy emojis, like the little kid's squishy things? She swelled one of those. It also came out the next day.

00:10:45 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my gosh. So, Mike, Mike, do you have to put your fingers through Sebastian's duty every single time?

00:10:54 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 4:

No, I mean, yeah.

00:10:55 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 5:

No, Mike's doing that now. Mike's looking for the penny.

00:10:58 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 4:

I mean, you would have to make sure it came out. You had to find it.

00:11:03 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 6:

I do want to find it now and put it in, like, a book somewhere.

00:11:06 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 2:

You have to keep it. You have to keep it.

00:11:08 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 6:

That's actually very funny.

00:11:10 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 2:

What if he didn't actually swallow the penny and you guys are sifting through it for no reason?

00:11:13 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 6:

Well, that's why we didn't take him to the doctors. We asked him, and they're like, just watch and see if he has any, like, issues with anything. And he drank a bunch of water, so he did.

00:11:22 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 2:

It wasn't, like, in his esophagus or anything. Yeah.

00:11:24 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 6:

So he might not have. We might just be searching for it.

00:11:27 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 5:

Hold on, one last call. Anna's grandpa, you've never met him, Mike. His name is Pops.

00:11:33 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, what do you got, Pops? You got a story about swallowing something?

00:11:59 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 7:

Just before I came from Florida to Michigan, I was in the ER room for dehydration. And while I was there, they brought in a little boy that had swallowed three or four quines. Oh. So I was there about an hour. But when I was leaving, I got the nurse and I said, how's that little boy doing? She said, no change yet.

00:12:22 - 00:12:28 | Speaker 3:

Ah, that's good. I don't even know if that's a real story That's good
