00:02:04 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 2:

little confusion it could have been worse but um i use talk to text or voice to text all the time especially when i'm driving i don't know about you guys but i just talk to my phone i say you know Text Natalie, ask her about dinner You know, I just talk to my phone And let it

00:02:21 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 3:

Have we become our parents? Isn't that what the old people do?

00:02:24 - 00:02:28 | Speaker 2:

The olds do? I don't know if my parents could figure that out

00:02:28 - 00:02:31 | Speaker 3:

Do the olds do voice to text Or is that the youngs?

00:02:31 - 00:02:33 | Speaker 5:

I would say it's more the olds

00:02:33 - 00:02:35 | Speaker 3:

See, to me, I do it too

00:02:35 - 00:02:39 | Speaker 5:

Texting takes too long Texting takes too long, so that's why I talk to text

00:02:39 - 00:02:44 | Speaker 3:

The problem though is, you know when I'm talking to text Because it does punctuation marks That are appropriate

00:02:44 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 2:

right everything's spelled right mojo must have been doing voice to text

00:02:49 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 5:

well you need to know how large the font is on your phone oh i wouldn't yeah i wouldn't it drives

00:02:55 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 2:

me crazy when people change the font i don't care how old i get i'm never gonna do that because it looks so horrible i was like steve jobs would roll over in his grave if he saw what you're doing to

00:03:04 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 3:

his beautiful technology and people can read it from across the room yeah it's that if it's large

00:03:09 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 2:

enough so i was you know just at the red light and i yesterday i was trying to tell megan what time i'd be home and it almost broke us up she got the strangest message from me and then i went dark and didn't answer her for almost an hour and it took me a minute to figure out what the hell happened when i finally came back to my phone and i and i saw it but what happened was i was just at the light outside planet fitness and i was i just texted her i said i'm leaving work at three hitting the store and then i'll be home oh no that's her message to me okay my message to her was i'll be home around 3 30 or so found the cheater who ruined everything and wants you back no chance in hell honey it's justin right so she gets this and she replies say what and then i don't say anything for like almost an hour and then when i picked up my phone again i was in the gym after working out and i was like oh what the hell is this i looked at i go what is that i didn't type that and then i figured out when i was leaving her the voice to text i think it picked up the dj on the radio that was introducing just like because i was going who's justin and then i remembered when i was leaving the message i was rocking out to um the radio had justin timberlake cry me a river and so i think the dj was saying like here's a song about you know he found the cheater who ruined everything and oh you know they want oh my god no chance this is justin timberlake so i did not understand what this text it took me a minute to figure out that it picked up the voice on my radio while i was leaving the message so it started with me saying i'll be home around 3 30 or so and then i paused and i must not have hit stop on the voice the new talk to text by the

00:04:55 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 5:

I hate it. I hate it. I freaking despise it.

00:04:58 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. If you.

00:05:00 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 6:

The new update.

00:05:01 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 1:

The new operating system, it leaves it on for you in case you want to continue talk-to-text. Yeah. Drives me nuts. It keeps picking up more audio until you hit send. So in this case, it picked up the radio DJ introducing the song before I hit send. Right.

00:05:17 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 2:

Has that ever burned you? Has that ever got you to say something that you weren't supposed to be saying at that time that you thought that your talk-to-text was over with? You'll have to call us up 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 That is classic By the way, you couldn't ask for Probably A more random

00:05:38 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 6:

A more random Found the cheater

00:05:40 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 1:

It's Justin She's like, what? What are you talking about?

00:05:44 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 6:

I told you the story about my friend Katie She has a little girl who's like three years old And this new talk to text burned her Because she was texting her son's teacher about something And then turned into the back seat to talk to her little girl and was like, ooh, baby, you are the sweetest girl. I just love you so much. You are a princess. You are beautiful. I la-la-la-la love you. Whatever, you know, baby voice she was using, and it translated into text to her son's teacher. Which was so weird.

00:06:15 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 2:

That's an awkward parent-teacher conference. What's up, Tiffany?

00:06:20 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning, fellas.

00:06:21 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 2:

Morning. What's going on? Fellas and ladies, what's going on? Girls and gals, what's going on?

00:06:26 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 3:

Exactly. No, my mom does the same thing. She does the voice to text, and her messages don't come out clear at all. So if I call her back to see what she's trying to say, she yells at me and says, I should know what she's trying to say.

00:06:43 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 1:

It's your fault for not interpreting correctly.

00:06:46 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 3:

Exactly.

00:06:47 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. Appreciate it, Tiffany. What's up, Pete?

00:06:51 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 5:

Yo, so two years ago I had my new boss, she had just come in, she was coming in and doing stuff and then was leaving and sent a text, voice to text, right as she was finishing up, somebody cut her off, so she said, hey, thanks a lot, a-hole, and I was like, man, I was like, you know, I've been called for worse by Les, you know, and she's, oh my god, now one of my best friends in the world, but yeah, it started with a voice to text a-hole.

00:07:18 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 2:

You know what, Pete, I want to know this. Why is it that I can't spell in my own personal texting swear words, but if I voice to text it, it will do it?

00:07:29 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 5:

It will do it, but on mine, because I have a smarter phone, so mine actually blocks everything out. So it just says star, star, star.

00:07:39 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? Really? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wait, do you have a lot of people that swear at you that you have to do that?

00:07:45 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, a lot of people swear at me. I work in the medical field.

00:07:48 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 1:

Everybody's swearing at you. That must be a good setting to have.

00:07:52 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 5:

Crap. What are you doing? What are you doing? All right, guys. Have a good day. Take care, Pete. All right.

00:07:57 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 1:

My phone just finally realized I'm not talking about ducks and ducking. And it just finally realized, okay, we'll just give you the word you want.

00:08:06 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 2:

See, mine doesn't do it on text. It only will do it for the voice thing.

00:08:09 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:08:10 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

And it really irritates me. And so I'll have to, like, correct it a couple of times or do the voice to text at that particular time. Yeah. But in my car, you know what's amazing? The Chevy Tahoe that I have. Chevy's, you know, Apple Play or whatever it is does an amazing job.

00:08:29 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 6:

It does.

00:08:30 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 2:

Stellar job. Because you have a GM product, too, right? I have a Buick. I have a Buick, yeah. Stellar job of texting and doing the voice to text thing, which honestly is so much safer.

00:08:38 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 1:

I think it might just be that AirPlay app, because I have it in the Kia, too. It does it, too? It's a game-changer, except for the new update that picks up radio DJs.

00:08:48 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 2:

Shandala? Yes. What's happening? Not much. Shandala, have you ever had voice-to-text kind of burn you?

00:08:58 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, a little bit. So I used to be a flatbed truck driver, and I had hurt my back. So I was texting my safety manager using voice-to-text, and what I said was, I will let you know if I can't work, and it changed it to, I will let you know if I can twerk. He was all like, wait, what?

00:09:28 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 2:

That would be a funny one, too, to send. That's great. That's the other thing with voice-to-text. I think that it knows that I have a speech impediment Because it doesn't pick up Exactly what I'm saying sometimes And it screws me up But you know I will say this I use the voice to write letters To people or emails If I'm having to write Because my punctuation and all that stuff Is so bad And it's so much faster And to be perfectly honest with you I look smart when I do it Except for when I say something and it doesn't pick up the word. Listener Megan, what's up?

00:10:07 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Yes. So my dad was wondering how they poured some concrete on our front porch in a house we just built. So I sent him a video, and he wrote me back, oh, I see how they did it now. That's cool. No, no, no, you mother effer. No, no, no. And that's how it ended. And so I immediately texted him back, are you okay? And he was like, yeah, why? So I called. Well, I guess his cat had jumped on the counter and knocked a whole bunch of stuff off. And he sent it to me. He had no idea. So I screenshotted it. We take it out every now and then to look at it because it was hilarious.

00:10:40 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 2:

Your dad loves that cat, doesn't he?

00:10:42 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 5:

Oh, he knows it's an outdoor cat now. And it just looks at him through the windows every night.

00:10:48 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 2:

All because of that one moment or no?

00:10:50 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 5:

Multiple moments like that. And then he had enough one day and he threw it out.

00:10:54 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Wow. All right. Thanks for the call.
