This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:01:21 - 00:02:06 | Speaker 7:

Allen Lee, my major is drafting and design. In high school, I did it since my sophomore year and I kind of wanted to continue it. It was the only thing I was good at. I didn't want to move to a four-year, I don't think I'm mentally prepared. I found Bishop State, they had the program, I met a few people there, I ended up enrolling. The instructor, first day I met him, I told him about my background, he said, okay, great, you know about this. He built me straight to work, he didn't let me have any leeway, he pushed me to my limits, so I think that made me choose drafting design at Bishop State and stuck with it. The sport's amazing, all my instructors just want to see me succeed, they want to push me to my limit, they want to see me be the best I can be, get a job, just be as successful as I can be, and I really appreciate all of them. With my degree, as of right now, my plan is to work for the city of Mobile with their urban planning department. And I've already got a job shadow before, and hopefully I will end the ship over the summer. If you choose Bishop, we're welcome to have you any day.

Mojo in the Morning Show. Cav had a very interesting thing happen to him that is now making him wonder, can short guys be with tall girls?

00:02:25 - 00:03:20 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and I would love to hear from any Amazonian queens out there, if you are tall, and I'm talking like 5'11 and up, if you are dating a guy that's shorter than you, do you like it for one? Did you always, excuse me, were you always interested in short guys, or did you just say like, man, F it, let me give it a chance? So this lady approached me and talked about obviously me being single, and she's like, and I'm telling her like, I'm not looking for anybody right now. I'm not going to be looking for anybody for a while. My goal is to focus on myself. And she's like, well, what if I introduce you to someone else that's also just focusing on themselves? And she's beautiful. And you guys can just focus on yourselves, but do it together. And I'm like, okay, sounds interesting. She's like, she's beautiful. I'm like, check. She's like, she a VP at GM. I'm like, okay, that's cool. She's like, do you like tall women? I'm like, I'll climb a tree. And I've been with tall women before. But in my mind was like.

00:03:20 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 1:

I like climbing a tree. Stop. Yeah, I'm climbing a tree. Yeah, yeah, I'm Paul Bunyan.

00:03:23 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 5:

Just make it until I heard you right. Hey, man, put my flannel on and bring the X. But my mindset is not so much if I like tall women, but if that tall woman would like to date a guy that's shorter than her. And I've never had that conversation before. And I would love to find out if that's a thing, because I feel like for short guys or shorter guys, we don't really care if the woman is taller than us for real. As long as she's not towering, like she got her patting on my head,

00:03:53 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 6:

I think for if you're a tall woman, it must be sometimes hard to find guys that are your size because I think that there's probably more of a selection opening up. But I could see where it'd be difficult where you'd feel self-conscious, especially if you couldn't wear the heels that you want to wear. For guys, I always find it interesting. To me, if I met a girl that was beautiful and she was like six foot four and that was taller than me, I'd be like, that's hot. That's like, damn.

00:04:23 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 5:

You know what I mean? 6'4", a little too wild, though. For me, at least. You're taller than me, so that might work for you.

00:04:29 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 6:

So you think that would be way crazy?

00:04:31 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 5:

For me, yeah. That's like dating somebody in the WNBA. They cold, but like, ah, that's a little. 6'4", is crazy.

00:04:35 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 6:

Wait, you're telling me that you would turn down that hot girl from Chicago?

00:04:39 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 5:

Angel Reese ain't really that cold for me, though. I'd smash her, but we're not trying to do all of that.

00:04:44 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 6:

She's a beautiful young lady, though. I'm going to take it easy right now, but I'd smash her. 6'4", that's a little too aggressive. KP, you're a taller woman here. Do you have a hard time finding guys that are of size?

00:04:57 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 2:

Yes, I do. Katie, how tall are you? So I'm 5'8", and I feel like I look taller, but I'm pretty average height for a female. You got a long neck. That's what it is. Oh, that's great. Are you comparing me to a giraffe? No, I'm just looking at your neck.

00:05:13 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 3:

I think 5'8 is tall for a girl, but not like too tall. Like when I hear 6'2", I think that's tall for a girl. Oh, she got a long neck.

00:05:22 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 1:

You're beautiful.

00:05:24 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 2:

Anybody taller than me is tall. She can wear the hell out of a necklace. I'm about to punch you in the neck.

00:05:28 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 6:

Necklaces look great on you. Oh, my God.

00:05:31 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 7:

That is so funny. That is so good.

00:05:36 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 2:

That'd be like 511 and up.

00:05:38 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 7:

All right. Mojo in the morning. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Let me go to Fred here. What up, Fred? Hi.

00:05:48 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 6:

What's going on, everybody? It's the original Fred from Detroit. What's up, Fred? What's up, Fred? But, yeah, it cares. Those tall women. It's on the bottom. You got those legs and all that. I haven't yet got to get to a real Amazonian. You know, the ones that's like six feet and over. But I'm waiting on what to do.

00:06:07 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 3:

Should we wear like an arrow on the back of our vest? Amazonian?

00:06:12 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 6:

Now, Fred, how tall are you? That's what we call big women.

00:06:16 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 3:

Amazonian, my love. You said Amazonian like the store.

00:06:19 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 7:

It's brought to you by Jeff Bezos.

00:06:23 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 3:

Hence the smile arrow reference.

00:06:26 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 6:

Now, how tall are you, Fred? I'm 5'8 on a good day. With the Timbs on. No, I'm wearing Timbs, man, with the Ugg boots on. You know, I'm 5'8 with the Ugg boots on.

00:06:43 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 3:

Are you wearing the platform Uggs, though? Is it really 5'5? No, the brute one. I love you.

00:06:52 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 7:

Thank you, Fred. Thank you, original Fred. By the way, I need a song for this whole thing. I need to have my song here. Even though it's not talking about this, is it?

00:07:07 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 3:

No, it does have a curse in it if you're playing it off your phone.

00:07:12 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 7:

Oh, really? Yes.

00:07:13 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 1:

Don't want no short, short, man.

00:07:15 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 7:

There you go.

00:07:16 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh, instead of it. Don't want no short, short, man. I hope so. What's up? Don't want no short, short, man.

00:07:22 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 7:

What's up, Andrea? How you doing? good how are you good andrea doesn't mind short guys right no my husband is five three and i'm

00:07:33 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 4:

six foot wow look at you do you ever give him a piggyback ride oh my god no no no when you guys

00:07:41 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 7:

take pictures does he ever like ask you to sit or what does he do no no i just stand and i know i

00:07:48 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 4:

He always says that I'm the perfect height for a pillow.

00:07:52 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 7:

For a pillow. I thought you were going to say something else.

00:07:56 - 00:07:57 | Unknown:

Oh, no.

00:07:59 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 7:

So, Andrea, was it awkward, though, like when you guys were standing at the altar, you know, like trying to look into each other's eyes?

00:08:09 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, a little bit. But, I mean, I got used to it before we got married. So, I mean, it's normal now. I don't think of it anymore.

00:08:17 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 7:

Was it tough dating at first, though? or was it tough dating for you period was it tough to date guys because six foot is definitely a tall

00:08:23 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 4:

woman yeah it was a tough tough a little bit but i just stopped looking at height because yeah it just was too hard to find somebody that was close to my height i feel like height is

00:08:36 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 3:

on the list of things that matter the stupidest thing to care about when it comes to a partner

00:08:43 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. What would be the more important, the height of them or they're a good guy?

00:08:49 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 3:

Oh, good person. It's wild to me that you could like literally find your perfect match and then just be like, you're the wrong height. I don't want to be happy for my life. That to me is so wild that people care this much.

00:09:01 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 7:

I, as a guy, would look for a tall woman because your kids get tall. The height comes from the mom. What's up, Brittany? How you doing?

00:09:11 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 5:

Good morning, everyone. what's going on good morning so i am six foot if you ask me in person though i will tell you i'm five eleven and a half i will not say i'm six foot but i will say as a tall woman i maybe it's just where i'm looking or what finds me but i can never find a man that is taller than me so usually any of the guys that i've dated have always either been my height or like a little bit shorter. But listen, if the guy's okay with it, I'm okay with it. You can climb the tree all

00:09:43 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 7:

day. Oh, look at that. What are advantages to having a guy be shorter than you? Are there any of them? I mean, I don't know that I would. I mean, they can kind of fit in lower areas like they can get, you know, they can pick things up off the ground faster.

00:10:00 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 8:

for sure they can squeeze into smaller places if i need to reach something that's up higher

00:10:05 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 6:

i can get you know what i mean yeah you can let them drive and you can sit behind them in the car and you don't have uh issues with your leg room i always love that listen i'm a i'm a taller guy with a shorter woman and i love it people always look at us like we're we're like what is that all about like they think we're an exclamation point whenever we're hanging out with each other you

00:10:24 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 7:

know what's interesting a lot of people well no hang on a lot of people i've heard the conversation that that's the reason why there aren't enough tall guys for tall women because tall guys always go for short women that is true yeah yeah but i actually disagree with that now i used to think

00:10:41 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 2:

that that's how it was but i feel like tall guys like being with tall girls because they want the

00:10:46 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 3:

genes the genetics i'm five four and i dated a six six guy that was it's actually harder than you think it's it's nice to be married to somebody who is a little bit more so well a lot of it more on the shorter side because i in like situations of going to a wedding for example each other's eyes oh my god my neck starts to hurt because my yeah when you're laying next to each other in bed

00:11:09 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 6:

megan next to a guy that's six foot six yeah do you have to like scoot up in the bed or to kiss

00:11:15 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 5:

him or what are you truly and i don't think people realize one of us was always in pain either my neck was completely like you're laying down up or he was bent over like see that we're all the

00:11:25 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 6:

same heights kp just said when she's when we're laying down no you're not when your dick when

00:11:29 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 5:

you're uh what'd you say you can't say talk about his dick what's going on gary how you doing

00:11:38 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 9:

yeah uh so i'm five foot my wife is six foot and in the middle of staying our nuptials the Pastor stopped the service, dropped down a stepstool, so we were at the exact same place. No.

00:11:53 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 7:

That's funny. Did he tell you he was going to do that, or he just came out of the blue with it? He came out of the blue with it.

00:12:00 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 9:

Wow. He just stopped it. Great pastor, had a great time. It was fun.

00:12:06 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. By the way, I love a guy that has a sense of humor, and you know what? That's great that you don't take it too seriously because there's nothing worse than a guy with a Napoleon complex.

00:12:16 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 9:

you know definitely not me uh you were talking earlier about benefits of being a guy yeah i'm

00:12:21 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 6:

the perfect arm rest for my wife that is true that is great man i love you gary take care of yourself love you too bye mojo bye take care sarah wants to talk to you kevin though about dating

00:12:44 - 00:12:45 | Speaker 7:

00:12:45 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 6:

Are you into feet?

00:12:48 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 8:

I'm 5'10", and I wear a size 11.

00:12:51 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 6:

Interesting. You guys could share shoes, Kevin. You guys could share Uggs. You could go get those Uggs that you've been trying to get. No, bro.

00:12:58 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 7:

The platform. I hope she don't have big... Is that real? If they taught, they got to have big feet? Usually. Usually, yes.

00:13:03 - 00:13:06 | Speaker 8:

You're not going to be a size six foot.

00:13:06 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 7:

You'd flop over.

00:13:07 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:13:08 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 7:

I didn't even think about that.

00:13:09 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Well, thank you. I appreciate you, Sarah. Take care of yourself.
