My name is Medterica, Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently, even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.

Mojo in the morning show. I was watching K.P.'s story last night, and one of the girls on The Bachelor you went to school with?

Yes, so I went to college with Miss Parisa, who is on the season's Bachelor, which is so cool. She's beautiful. Isn't she? Is she from Birmingham? Yeah, she is. She is probably one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen.

Well, that's the thing that I thought was so strange. Like, we got a watch party together of our sorority sisters because she was a part of my sorority we didn't have the same class so i never got to be in the actual active sorority with her but we're both alumni now and so we all got together to watch her on the first episode and it was kind of weird to see someone we know on the bachelor like kind of i mean celebrity status we were watching her instagram followers like she started at like 9 000 and she went up to like 12 thousand by the time her little appearance

happened. From being on there. Yeah, she's got twelve thousand, twelve point three.

Yeah, so it's crazy to see someone that you know or that you went to school with get

so big. I had this happen to me.

For real? Yeah.

One of my actually really good buddies since grade school was one of the, was the, I think the first apprentice on that Donald Trump apprentice. For real?

Bill Rancic. Isn't it weird? Yeah. It's like a weird feeling. It's like, is this

real? And the wildest part was that he then took it to like the next level and then got a celebrity wife. He ended up marrying that Juliana Rancic who was on E! News Daily and stuff. See, that's how you do it. So this girl, so Parisa, which she's local and stuff. Does she still live here or no? Because I'm looking at her Instagram and it looks like she's spending a lot of time in other places.

I don't know. I think from what I see on her social media, it looks like she travels and does a lot of things, but I don't know if she's living here. It says she's from Birmingham.

think it's weird to hear me on the radio too so it's like that same same idea seeing someone on tv and then seeing hearing somebody on a radio station

into their whole life i kind of had a situation like this i was leaving i forgot where i was leaving but i was hungry and i went to mcdonald's and the person who took my order was this girl i went to high school with and i was so happy to see her because i'm like throw some more fries in the back you know you come on was she not nice to you when you were gone everybody was cool and she threw me the extra fries celebrity oh i thought you were like happy that she had to work at mcdonald's or something i was geeked you were geeked that she was mcdonald's and you got a personal connection late night shit wow that's great i uh i'm always surprised that what people do that i grew up with like i we had one guy mike gacious who is the manager of the macy's men's department by my house and i saw him when i went home for christmas holiday and i'm like i never would have thought that and then there's a couple other people like john chang i've talked about before he's like one of the biggest plastic surgeons down in miami i knew he was gonna be famous one day because he just had that thing to him you know he was like smart he went to like northwestern and then there were a couple of people like mark wood who's dead unfortunately but he but he was the guy that was kind of like the rebel guy and he ended up i think dying you

know from drugs well i had a friend who lived back in uh when i lived in tampa who had someone she went to high school with become a killer like literally she found they became a serial not a serial killer but they had been accused of murdering people you don't know who you go to school with and what they're going to do what they're going to become be nice to everybody

I don't know. It's probably a common last name.

My name is Patrick Pettway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. for me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition. Not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website.
