All right, it is Mojo in the morning. Kev, you found out something like a little suspicious when you went on to credit karma?

Yeah, this world is ass backwards, and I don't know what people are doing and how they keep their jobs or what regulations they're looking at to determine what is valid and what isn't. I'm on creditkarma.com looking at my credit score, looking at my report, trying to see everything that's factoring into this beautiful number that I've established. And then I notice an account that clearly isn't mine. And when I look at the account and how long it's been active, this bitch has been active since 1995. What? I was born in 1990. For those who can't count, that's five years. I was five years old when this account was established. Clearly, I don't have any business taking out a credit card. Yeah, but it could have been you. It could have been you. It could have been you. Baby geniuses. Who knows? Do you think what your parents did? I don't know if it was my parents. It had to have been, dude. Do we think? Yeah, you got to have to rush down and listen. So I reach out to Credit Karma because I want to dispute it. Now, luckily, there hasn't been any late charges. Whoever this person is that's used it, it's actually benefited me, which is the blessing. But still, I'm like, this clearly isn't mine. I'm five years old. I reach out. I'm like, hey, I was five years old when this took place. I want to get this removed. They responded and said, we don't have sufficient enough evidence to say that this is not your account. Therefore, it will remain open and we will not close it.

Even if you showed them that you weren't even of age, like you weren't even born?

I sent my ID and I was like, they have like reasons for cancellation. I'm like, I was five. Like make it as simple as it possibly can be.

So I have an account that was open in my name as well and I cannot close it. And they don't spend any money on it and it hasn't changed, but I cannot close it. And I don't know how to. How is that possible?

This is ridiculous. How is that legal?

I don't know. I can show you exactly what it is. and they're not in debt and that they don't use it or at least it's paid up every month, but it is not improving or harming my credit. But there is an account that I did not open on my credit score.

Like same situation. So Kevin, could you go and look and see what they've been charging or where they've been charging or it just shows you that there was credit and it was used by somebody that says that their name is Kevin Irwin?

The latter. Like, when you go on Credit Karma, it doesn't give you, like, a detailed express sheet, like, bulletin, all that type of stuff. It shows check marks, and it shows, like, months. So it'll have, like, the full calendar year, and then it'll just show a check showcasing that it was paid.

So it doesn't show you, like, that it was a credit card, that it was, you know, this specific credit card.

I wonder if you could find that out. It's like some letters. It's you with you. You have to be able to find it out. Supposedly, five-year-old kid was out here getting credit cards and charges and stuff.

I hear these stories all the time where, like, parents will do this, where they'll take out on their kids. But I think that there's no way this is the case because their kids at least were alive and had a Social Security number. You can't just get credit if the person doesn't have a Social Security number.

Well, Kyle was alive and had a Social Security number. At that time, I thought you said you weren't.

everybody i love y'all to death i gotta tell y'all what happened before i'm gonna tell y'all what happened before i tell y'all who did it so a house was purchased it was the in the attempt to fix it up and flip it and everything the utilities were turned on in my name and it happened it went on for like three years before i knew anything about it and the only reason i found out is because the house burned down i'm sure it was an insurance job and they had to forward the mail to the next known address which was where i lived with my parents because i wasn't even old enough to be doing any of that stuff yet. Come to find out, my grandmother did it. And when I went to her about it, I found out about it. I went to her with the bills, and I asked her about it, and she looked me dead in my eyes, and she said, I ain't paying spit. Wow. Like three weeks later, she kicked the bucket. She was a very mean person, so I don't feel bad about it.

Kevin, could it be grandmama? Low-key, when he said that, my face, I'm in utter shock. there is a small chance that it could be Gran Mamada. Gran Mamada. Not her. No. I mean, the fact that all the payments have been made on time kind of just sounds like my grandma.

Wow.

Because she pays on time. I'm asking her as soon as the show over.

DJ, when Grandma died, did you get anything from Grandma's death other than Bill's?

No, just when I was getting ready to say, I didn't get anything. She didn't have anything to leave. And when I reached out to DTE, who let this go on for God knows how long, and the bill was never paid. It was like $5,000 worth of utilities in over three years. The bill was never paid, and when I reached out to them to dispute it, they said that they don't deal with family disputes, and the bill just needed to be paid. So it ended up being a situation where I couldn't afford it, so after seven years, it just fell off my credit. But it screwed me, and by the time I was able to actually use my credit, it was in the hole.

Wow, that's insane. Sorry they had to deal with that. But Sean has advice for Kevin, who found out that somebody took credit out in his name when he was five. What's up, Sean?

Yeah, I was going to say, Kevin should call the credit card company that they have opened up in his name to say somebody hacked his account.

But he doesn't even have that info. That's the problem.

It was in his name with his social security number. Or just be like, they changed all the passcodes, everything.

But the report doesn't say what it was. If you get LifeLocked.

There's got to be a way to find out who's reporting that.

If you get LifeLocked, they'll do that for you. So if you get the thing and you say, this is not me, they'll go in there and they'll cancel all that stuff for you. You did that? That's what you tried to do?

Yeah. Well, first time, long time. No, I was just going to share. My husband's dad actually added him to one of his credit cards when he was a kid to extend the length of his credit. So he's kept the account in good standing his whole life. And so my husband's credit right out of the gate at 18, you know, at a young age was in good standing because length of credit does make a huge difference.

I am mind blown that you are allowed to do that. Oh, yeah. Like, how is that possible? If you have to put a birth date on there, how do these credit card companies not see, like in Kev's case, oh, he's only five years old. This isn't legit. I truly do not understand. And what your husband's dad did, that's great. It worked out for him. But I'm saying.

Like, how is this not flagged? So they get a kickback from stores when you use a credit card, right? So that's why some stores charge you more when you're not paying a lot for your items and you're using a credit card because they have to pay the credit card company for you to swipe it. So the credit card company doesn't care. They want the money of every swipe. That has to be illegal. You know what we should do?

We should call the suspects and let's see if we can judge by their voice when we accuse them. Call your mom, call your dad, call your grandmama and let's get them on the phone and let's Ask them the question on the spot. Who of you has taken a credit card out in my name? And we'll do it based on the tremble in their voice. What do you think, Kevin?
