Mudge on the morning show. Throwbacks coming up here. Throwback throwdown. Happy Friday to you. Good to have you guys here. Megan wants to throw out some props to somebody on how they did their baby announcement. Is that right, Megan?

00:02:21 - 00:02:28 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if props is the right word or just acknowledgement that this is probably the way I would do it. and that's not a good thing.

00:02:29 - 00:02:35 | Speaker 6:

You know? Yeah. If you like, if Megan, if Megan likes it, then it's probably not a good idea. Is that what you're saying?

00:02:35 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I mean, I'm not really the compass for correct decisions. Let's just say that. So I have never been pregnant. And this is actually a question I have for Shannon. It's like, when does baby brain kick in and is it a real thing?

00:02:50 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 4:

It is very much a real thing. And I think when it kicks in is different for a lot of people. But for me, it was, like, the second I found out I was pregnant, just everything became all jarbled in my head. That makes a lot of sense. Because you're so tired, and it just, like, naturally happens.

00:03:04 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 3:

Okay. So that's interesting because I thought it was much later. You know how they say, like, when you're having a girl, they take your beauty and then all these different stages of your pregnancy? I thought baby brain was third trimester. So maybe this plays out a little bit more and makes a little bit more sense. but one of my girlfriends said that her friends unfortunately announced her pregnancy not by telling her friends, but by just sending a text message to the group chat saying what's your address for the baby shower invite. Sent that first, and then a half hour later said, oh yeah, I forgot to tell you guys, I'm pregnant.

00:03:44 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 4:

Now, okay, question. Is this her first baby? Yes. Okay. I was going to say because sometimes with babies like 2, 3, 4 and so on You're just like it's totally different But with the first baby it's a big deal

00:03:58 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 3:

So she had done this big announcement for her family And forgot she had not done that for her friends That's great

00:04:05 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 6:

I kind of like that because I like that in this day and age of people overdoing things You know with how people now it's like They have to shoot off rocket ships and stuff nowadays To like tell everybody like the gender of their baby and stuff i think that that's actually kind of cool it's like subtly actually you know what it was bad if that was you megan as one of the people on that group chat you wouldn't have even gotten it

00:04:28 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 4:

she would have had the baby and you'd be like oh she had a baby why didn't anyone invite me

00:04:34 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 6:

she may have already announced it and she just didn't know you're currently acting like i don't

00:04:39 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

have 1360 unread text messages oh my god megan that would give me severe severe anxiety Every time I post like a screenshot on my Instagram stories of a text message said, I have to crop it not to keep the people's names out. But if I leave that number of unread messages, that's the only thing people will DM me about.

00:05:00 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 6:

Here's the worst on mine. The worst on mine is I have 32,124 unread emails.

00:05:10 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 5:

Work or personal?

00:05:12 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 6:

They're all. I have 10. The majority of them probably are, honestly, are like, you know, people trying to sell me stuff or whatever. You have 10?

00:05:20 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 5:

10. Do you want to know about work? I am so anal about my inbox.

00:05:23 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 1:

She'll delete stuff and then she'll ask me, hey, do you have the name of those things?

00:05:27 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 5:

Because she never saves anything.

00:05:29 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 6:

How many do you have?

00:05:30 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 5:

In my email?

00:05:31 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:05:32 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 5:

58,135.

00:05:34 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God.

00:05:35 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 5:

No wonder she never replied.

00:05:37 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 6:

But the funny, but Spike, do you have any?

00:05:40 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. I'm on your boat. I have thousands. For emails? Yeah.

00:05:43 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 6:

Okay. Okay, because I was going to say, Spike, this seems like he would be more clean with this.

00:05:48 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 1:

I'm usually so organized and OCD about everything else in my life, but what happens is for email, I go, well, I'll mark that on red because I got to go back to that later, and then I just never go back to it later.

00:05:57 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 6:

See, I have two unheard voicemail messages.

00:06:02 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man. So I do have two. Oh, I couldn't sit on that notification. I never listened to voicemail.

00:06:06 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 6:

But they're from people that, honestly, I hate to say it, they're from people that leave me like so many messages all the time, and they're always like the messages are.

00:06:17 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 5:

So long.

00:06:18 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God.

00:06:19 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 5:

Don't you just read the transcription? Just read the transcription.

00:06:21 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 6:

No, some of them don't even transcribe. I don't know. Like sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't work. Yeah, no, I agree with you. But the text messages, I have to go through. I get the idea of not looking at the text because you want to answer it at a certain time. But Megan, to have that many looked at text messages, unbelievable.

00:06:49 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 5:

1359. So I opened up one chat while we were talking.

00:06:53 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 1:

Text messages I have to look at. Because they're people that have my number. They're people I know close.

00:06:58 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 5:

No. You know what it is, though? It's mostly ads. I get text message ads.

00:07:03 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 6:

You do? Yes.

00:07:03 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 5:

Oh, God, really? Yes.

00:07:05 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 6:

Now, with the new version of whatever Apple has, you can actually put them in as spam or whatever. Yeah, swipe it.

00:07:13 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 1:

You don't get them anymore. Well, that assumes you're reading them. She's not reading them.

00:07:17 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 6:

Lindsay wants to comment on Baby Brain. What's up?

00:07:19 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 3:

yeah i actually just saw on a uh trivia show like this week that your brain physically shrinks when you're pregnant so i think that's what causes pregnancy brain what does it really yeah does it actually go back to normal after you have the baby i have no idea i still feel like i'm weird but it was it was like well yeah me too it was this like multiple choice trivia show and like The other answers were, like, lungs, stomach. I thought it was one of those, but they said it was your brain.

00:07:50 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 6:

You should tell any mom that's listening to this should tell their kids, I gave up my body and my brain for you, for Christ's sake, you know?

00:07:57 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Well, there's this girl on TikTok who makes a list of all the reasons why she's never having kids based on the things moms say on TikTok. And I feel like this needs to be added to that list. Like, y'all keep making it so I don't want more kids. It's terrifying what you guys have to go through to make a baby. I don't know how you did it. It's so scary.

00:08:15 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 6:

Lindsay, happy Friday.

00:08:17 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 5:

Happy Friday.

00:08:18 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 6:

Take care. What's up, Jody?

00:08:20 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Yes. How are you? Good morning. Good morning.

00:08:25 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 6:

What's going on? I feel like I caught you off guard by picking up your phone line.

00:08:29 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 4:

No, you're fine. I'm at work. I work on the assembly line, so I'm trying to get off the line right now to talk.

00:08:34 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 6:

Oh, wow. What are you making? Anything fun?

00:08:36 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 4:

But no, the baby start in flight. My aunt will send group texts to the family and stuff. I do not want to be in no group texts. I don't want to have 100 replies from different people going through my phone. That is just a no.

00:08:50 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 6:

My least favorite is when people that have group chats try to group chat me as I'm trying to fall asleep at night. And I have my phone off, but I can still get the vroom, vroom, vroom, you know, like that thing.

00:09:03 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 4:

Oh, gotcha. Nope. My phone is on silent all the time so that don't happen.

00:09:09 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 1:

You guys were doing that to me last night. What time was it? Was it 9?

00:09:14 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 6:

oh is about mike's baby names oh really yeah at nine o'clock but that was funny am i the only one

00:09:21 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 2:

that goes to bed early for a morning show job yeah so i'm the same way about group chats i hate saving a bunch of random people's phone numbers that i'm never ever going to talk to again and then i have this random person named like kelly i don't even know in my contact book yeah you

00:09:35 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 6:

You almost got to, I don't know, like I actually put in my, if you look at how I name people, I don't name people just Kelly. Like I would name her bad group chat Kelly. Like I put it in there so that I know exactly who the actual person is or annoying group chat Kelly. Vanessa?

00:09:57 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:09:58 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:

Hi, what's happening?

00:10:00 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 1:

Oh, nothing. I just was listening to, um, about the unread emails and I have 86,000.

00:10:05 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 4:

Oh my God. Wow. Oh my God. Get it girl.

00:10:12 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 2:

Like, do you have a plan to sit down one day and go through them or it's just going to forever be?

00:10:17 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 1:

You know, I attempted and it's just not even worth it anymore.

00:10:21 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:10:21 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 7:

But there are important things in life that you have to provide an email address for. So what happens when you need something from your bank or your credit card or your job or your kids' schools? Like, what do you do?

00:10:33 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 1:

There's a special email for those. This is all, like, the spam emails. You know, oh, give me your email and you'll get 10% off.

00:10:41 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Oh, well, then why even look at that? Shut it down.

00:10:45 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. That, though, is funny because there are, like, we talk about people that have anxiety over seeing that. They have that. Yes. But honestly, part of me doesn't want to go back into those emails like when I was transferring over to a new phone. I don't want to go and just delete everything out of there because there are times where I do have to, like, word search things.

00:11:07 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 7:

You can mark as read. Mark the whole email as read, and then that notification goes away.

00:11:12 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's true. That's a good idea.

00:11:13 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, just mark them all read. And then for spam, I just put in, like, a store asks for an email. I just give my other address, which is Shannon at MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:11:21 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 2:

That is really my email address, too.

00:11:24 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 6:
