Oh, it's Mojo in the Morning. I got to bring this up because I thought that this was really funny. And I want to talk about something that I saw yesterday. Yesterday, I witnessed in the Plum Market parking lot, okay, the grocery store parking lot, I witnessed the wildest case of road rage ever it was a guy driving a lincoln okay driving the lincoln screaming out the window at a lady outside the window that was probably probably an older woman i don't know like maybe in her like 60s or something like that about the fact that she took a parking spot or cut into a parking spot before he cut into the parking spot now that doesn't seem like it's uncommon you see people that rode rage over parking spots what what this guy looked like was the most uh funny humorous part of the whole thing he's got his big old freaking head with a big nose sticking out of the uh out of the window and one of those ash wednesday crosses on his forehead fresh all church so for those that don't know yesterday was ash wednesday and you're probably walking around if you're not catholic and you probably noticed that there's some people that had a cross on their forehead this guy's got a cross on his forehead obviously just came back or sometime during the day went to church and got his ashes on ash wednesday and he is mother effing this

00:02:56 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 6:

please tell me you said something i tried to get my phone out fast but the guy pulled away so fast

00:03:04 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 5:

i was not i wasn't going to say anything at all because i didn't want to get yelled at but i was like i got to get video of this you know how i'd be trending right now if i if i gave that to bianca kind of post it would be unbelievable yesterday i kept seeing everybody with their ashes on and i have to be quite honest with you and i don't know if you guys you know uh even know what this is all about but if you don't i grew up i went to 14 years of catholic school so we would always on ash wednesday would go and get our ashes and you would walk around with the ashes on and i used to always tell the guys that i went to school with that if you take them off like if you rub them off your head because some guys would get embarrassed about them i said you're going to hell yeah and Actually, that's not, which is not, I don't think, a thing.

00:03:43 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 6:

No. It's totally a thing. I always say that, too. We can't wash ma.

00:03:48 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 5:

But yesterday was wild because I would actually see, and I saw this last night, I saw people with ashes that lasted the entire day. And I want to know where the hell they're going to get ashes because my ashes went away right away.

00:04:01 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 6:

As soon as you get a little sweaty, they're gone. It's like mascara. Yes. If you get a little oily, gone. I want to know who set their ashes with setting spray because I just know some girl did not. Or made them darker with eye shadow. So they were really, really prominent.

00:04:17 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 5:

Somebody needs to explain to me why it is that the news anchors on TV or even the politicians that are being interviewed have to make it look, and I think that they had to, they had to look like they were touching up this stuff with makeup because their ashes were so perfectly done and they were so dark. It was like dark ashes. And I was, I walked out of church with my forehead looking like, it just honestly looked like I had like a smudge of a Hershey's chocolate bar or something on my forehead, you know?

00:04:47 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 6:

Could you go back and say like, could you, could you just touch up this side right here? It's not even to the priest.

00:04:53 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 5:

Get the corner over here. Ask the, you know, the priest to give you a better, a better cross.

00:04:58 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 6:

I feel like when I.

00:05:00 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 1:

was younger because i grew up going to a catholic church on gross hill i feel like they had it where you could go in like they had a mass or two throughout ashwinds throughout the day but then you could go in and give your like your own ashes maybe i'm thinking maybe i'm wrong sophie we were

00:05:13 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 4:

never allowed to touch actually nowadays too with covet i feel like they don't let us in our church

00:05:18 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 3:

get any fingers and and near anything i feel like i got asked at one time i felt like a boss though

00:05:26 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 4:

A what?

00:05:27 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 3:

A boss. I feel like I have my ass. I was proud with my ass. You should be. As you should. You should be.

00:05:33 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 4:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Do you go to hell directly if you are the guy that's inside of the parking lot?

00:05:42 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 1:

That is so funny.

00:05:43 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 4:

Yelling at the lady after you just went?

00:05:45 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 1:

I feel like that happens on my way out of, like if I go to Kensington sometimes, I go to the one that's at Groves High School. and the way that they have to direct traffic. Yeah. On certain Sundays out of the parking lot, you see people just get livid. Oh, they go crazy. About getting out of there.

00:06:01 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 4:

You'll have to tell us, like, where is the craziest place that somebody has ever road raged you because that church is a crazy one. I wanted to go to Sacred Heart, and I wanted to say, hey, Pastor, can you know this guy? Take a picture of the guy. Janine, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi.

00:06:15 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 6:

Well, I'm going to go to hell because when we were kids and we didn't want to go get ashes, we would go stick our finger in the exhaust pipes and put a cross on that. No, you did not. You are going

00:06:27 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 4:

definitely to hell for that one, Janine.

00:06:29 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 7:

I'll see you at the gates, baby.

00:06:31 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 4:

Deanna, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:06:34 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. How are you?

00:06:35 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 4:

Good. What's happening?

00:06:37 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 7:

So yesterday, I wasn't able to go to my home church because their Ash Wednesday service was in the afternoon. So I went to a different church and they had drive up ashes. Oh my God. Did the pastor do it, or did you just get to do it? No, the pastor came out. He was seated right at the entrance, and I just drove up. He walked to my car. He administered, you know, did the little service there right at my car door, and I was on my way. I'm not going to lie to you.

00:07:04 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 4:

A drive-through church kind of sounds fun. I like that idea.

00:07:09 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 7:

Well, it made it easier and fit my schedule, so it worked for me.

00:07:12 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, especially Ash Wednesday when all you're doing is going to get in the ashes. What's going on, John? We were talking about the road rage in the parking lot. Where did you see road rage?

00:07:22 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 5:

My dad used to road rage so bad when we'd leave the Lions game at the Silverdome. So bad. I learned so many bad things. But the catch is, he was a pastor. Oh, no.

00:07:36 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 4:

Your dad was a pastor of a church, and he would be road raging?

00:07:39 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Yeah, it was mostly the Thanksgiving games because he didn't go on Sundays to any games. So every Thanksgiving, we've in the Silverdome, I'm like, wow, look what he did with his middle finger. Wow, that's a new four-letter word I learned.

00:07:53 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 4:

Did he not worry that one of the people that he was going to road rage was going to be one of his parishioners?

00:07:58 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 5:

Well, we're from Toledo. Not too many Lions fans would go up there on Thanksgiving, especially when they weren't that good.

00:08:05 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 4:

That's hysterical. That's awesome, though. Thank you for the call, buddy. I appreciate it. I can't believe how many people are saying that they've had road rage happen to them in a church parking lot on a Sunday. I'm texting her. Susan, what's going on? Hi.

00:08:20 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 8:

So my worst traffic incident was I was in Valencia, and there's a roundabout in Valencia, and there's five lanes. So we're trying to cross all five lanes to get out of it. We just come back from skiing. There's four girls. And we blow a kiss to this guy in front because he pulled right in front of us. You sound so crapper. Honestly, it sounded really good with your accent.

00:08:39 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 4:

Hold on. And I had to dump that for one second. I'm sorry. She said that she was pulling out and she was blowing kisses to the guy because it was cut right in front. Okay. And then you said the F-bomb, but don't swear again. Go ahead.

00:08:53 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 8:

So this guy jumps out of his car and starts hitting my car with a baseball bat. It was a rental. And he smashed it. There's five guys in daylight and nobody gets out of the car. Nobody does anything. You're kidding. We go, look, Yandel, look. Yeah, no, look, Yandel. he smashed my window and he smashed my uh my glass so he gets back in his car and the traffic and we're all looking at each other going what a what an idiot what a crazy and we're looking around no one helps us it's unbelievable can i tell you something though

00:09:26 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 4:

i think i feel like nowadays people get so fearful of somebody smashing them in the head that they don't want to get out but you're right though it's like why are they not doing anything about it or they all agreed that you shouldn't be cutting over five lanes of traffic All right, DeAndre, what's up?

00:09:43 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, Mojo, what's going on? Nothing much, buddy, what's happening with you? Just walking into work here in a few seconds, but... How high are you? My bad ass always, I'm not high at all, I actually don't even smoke weed. Wow, he's just tired, you're a little tired today? That is a voice.

00:10:00 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 5:

laid back yeah i literally just woke up at like 7 45 and i work at 8 so i don't even brush his teeth leave himself some time okay yeah so what um but uh like in a joking manner though my dad always told me to keep a glass bottle inside the car like in case if people like cut you off so like you know like roadways what do you do with the glass bottle uh you know if people cut

00:10:25 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 6:

you off you just throw it at them oh my god your dad told you to keep a glass bottle

00:10:30 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 5:

yeah that's just great advice wait it's kind of like a double thing you can also use it to pee in

00:10:36 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 6:

too so it's kind of handy actually you should keep the glass bottle with a little bit of gasoline and a little piece of like white cloth on the top and make yourself a molotov cocktail you can throw that at him too i guess you could do that too yeah by the way go back to for a second deandre before we hang up on you you only give yourself 15 minutes to get into work and you like did you

00:10:58 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 5:

honestly even brush your teeth this morning um for radio purposes yes i did

00:11:03 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 6:

have to say. Allen Lee, my major is drafting and design. In high school, I did it since my sophomore year, and I kind of wanted to continue it. It was the only thing I was good at. I didn't want to move to a four-year. I don't think I was mentally prepared. I found Bishop State. They had the program. I met a few people there. I ended up enrolling. The instructor, first day I met him, I told him about my background. He said, okay, great, you know about this. He built me straight to work. He didn't let me have any leeway. He pushed me to my limits, so I think that made me choose drafting design at Bishop State and stuck with it. The sport's amazing. All my instructors just want to see me succeed. They want to push me to my limit. They want to see me be the best I can be, get a job, just be as successful as I can be, and I really appreciate all of them. With my degree, as of right now, my plan is to work for the city of Mobile with their urban planning department, and I've already got a job shadow before, and hopefully I will end the ship over the summer. If you choose Bishop, we're welcome to have you any day.
