All right. It is Mojo in the morning show.

00:02:09 - 00:02:16 | Speaker 7:

So, birthday party at the house tonight? Oh, yeah. Lucy. Lucy's turning nine this weekend. Whoa.

00:02:16 - 00:02:18 | Speaker 3:

Happy birthday to Lucy.

00:02:18 - 00:02:20 | Speaker 7:

Scott Nick's birthday today. Is it?

00:02:20 - 00:02:21 | Unknown:

Hey.

00:02:21 - 00:02:27 | Speaker 3:

Birthday, Scott Nick. Why are you trying to overshadow Lucy's birthday with Scott Mech? This is unbelievable.

00:02:27 - 00:02:31 | Speaker 8:

Today's not even really Lucy's birthday. Like I said, it's Saturday. We're just having a little party.

00:02:31 - 00:02:32 | Speaker 3:

Happy birthday, Scott Mech.

00:02:32 - 00:02:34 | Speaker 8:

No, take it back right now.

00:02:35 - 00:02:41 | Speaker 3:

You know what it is? I know what you're doing. When somebody is born on a day, they always tell you what celebrities are born on that same day.

00:02:41 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 7:

I did feel like it was more like twinning. He gets Paul Rudd's birthday today. Paul Rudd. He has a good birthday.

00:02:49 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 3:

All right. So Lucy's birthday, and you're having a sleepover party? No. No?

00:02:55 - 00:03:19 | Speaker 8:

So they have no school tomorrow because of Good Friday. So Lucy's turning nine. We don't do sleepovers yet. And so we're having what the third graders call a late over, where they're coming over in their pajamas. And they're going to stay until like 10 o'clock tonight. But please say a prayer for me. I'm going to have 10 little girls at my house.

00:03:19 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 3:

just me wait wait so a laid over meaning you don't want them to so nobody's gonna stay the night because of are all the parents like that where they they're not ready for their kids to

00:03:31 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 8:

be at some other uh i don't know that's that's just us okay that's andrew my my ex-husband and i are that's kind of our rule that we're sticking to for right now i'm sure that will change maybe

00:03:42 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 3:

it's so funny um as she gets older each kid in our case was a completely different one really Yeah, for some reason, Joe, we could let stay over at anybody's house. We were fine with it. Jacob and Luke, we got very protective and like that. We're not like, we didn't enjoy like them staying over at other people's houses. Yeah. And it wasn't necessarily that we just didn't trust the people because we knew them and they were friends and stuff. But it's like nothing good comes of it. And then they come home and they're so tired when they come home. Yeah. Because they stay up all night.

00:04:12 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 8:

It was an interesting conversation for Andrew and I to have because he wasn't allowed to do sleepovers when he was little, but I slept over and had people sleep over all the time.

00:04:20 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 3:

And look how you turned out and look how he turned out.

00:04:22 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 8:

I mean, what does that mean?

00:04:24 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you know, I mean, look, it's so look at, I mean, you know, you still like him better

00:04:30 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 7:

than me.

00:04:30 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 3:

I know. I know. I'm just throwing it out there. It's wild how the parenting kind of resembles whatever the parenting is of you as you were done as a child but you guys your guys's case because in chelsea in in our case i think that uh i didn't never got invited over to anybody's house to sleep over and in her case she would

00:04:49 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 7:

stay over at her friend's houses all the time yeah yeah so what age are you thinking you're

00:04:54 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 3:

gonna because ali and i have this conversation all the time what age do you think you will start having sleepovers Thank you.

00:05:00 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 1:

Um, I don't know. And quite honestly, I, I have such bad anxiety as it is. And so I don't know that, that I will ever let her spend the night at somebody else's house. I'm cool with having people at my house. That makes me feel a little bit better. But if Andrew had his way, there would be no sleepovers ever, ever anywhere. But what is, he's a little more of a stickler on it.

00:05:20 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 2:

Really? What's wrong with the people staying at your place?

00:05:22 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm saying I, I would.

00:05:24 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 2:

So would he be opposed to you having Lucy's friends come over?

00:05:27 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 1:

Well, I see now it's two different households. So I don't know that this is one of those discussions like, you know, when when you are dealing with two households and a divorced family, that will eventually have to happen. But tonight it's going to be a spa party. So I'll be painting nails and doing face masks and foot masks. You're going to be busy. I am going to be so busy. Somebody FaceTime me, please, and save me. And it just brought me back to I used to get so excited for birthday parties when my mom would like we would go to Frank's Nursery and Crafts and buy all the puffy paint. And my friends would come over and we would puffy paint shirts and hats and socks. And it was like the best night ever.

00:06:04 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 2:

It's funny when you started saying that about Frank's Nursery and Crafts. Do you remember that place? Yeah, I do.

00:06:08 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 1:

Before Michaels.

00:06:08 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that was the place to go to. When you first said that, I'm thinking, what were you getting there at Frank's Nursery and Crafts? Were you getting plants to plant at the house? Like, make the kids on a sleepover do a... You could get both. Yeah, make the kids at the sleepover do your landscaping for you. If that would be the case, Andrew would be into it. Put them to work. Yeah, make them come to work. See, I think. Go ahead.

00:06:36 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 3:

I think my dad wanted me to go to sleepovers. I think he wanted a break. But I was the kid who I never stayed the night anywhere until college. Yeah. Like, I would try and called him every time at 11 o'clock at night. Can you come? You did. Can you give me, please? Oh, yeah.

00:06:53 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 2:

You know why I hate when my kids are at another person's house and they're doing that? I can't drink at home because I always have this fear that I'm going to have to pick them up in the middle of the night.

00:07:01 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I didn't think about that.

00:07:03 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 2:

So I can't get drunk. I have to be sober, you know, dad.

00:07:07 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 1:

So you get drunk if you're handling someone else's children at your house.

00:07:11 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, bring them over to my house. I'll just get passed out drunk. I was making sure that that was clear. No, no, no. Even for sleepover. But maybe, right? I don't know. Actually, I love when the kids would sleep over at the house because the next morning And it was always the biggest breakfast ever that we were going to, you know, I would go to Dunkin' and, you know, the bagel place by our house and get a bunch of stuff and make pancakes and things. But so Lucy's going to have friends over. It's a spa night. You're going to do nails. You're going to do what else?

00:07:39 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 1:

Foot masks, face masks. Yeah, they're going to watch a movie. I don't know what, you know, whatever these little girls want to do.

00:07:46 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 2:

It'll be so fun. But once that time goes off, at what time is it? They turn into a pumpkin. 9.30? 9.30? Get out. 10 o'clock. 9.30? Oh, my God. That's early. What time are they coming? Please tell me they're coming at noon today.

00:08:00 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 1:

They're coming at 6.30.

00:08:02 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so a three-hour party? By myself.

00:08:05 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 1:

Hello. That's a lot.

00:08:07 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Ordered a little Jets pizza with extra range. We are getting Jets pizza.

00:08:10 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 1:

That was requested. And a big donut cake from the donut cutter. Okay. That's what she wanted. That's a cool party.

00:08:17 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 2:

That's a cool party. My coolest party ever was when my friend Steve Gorski had everybody sleep over at his house, and we all got to play his new Nintendo 64, whatever the game was at the time. It wasn't 64. Everybody had that friend who had the video games. Yeah. We called him the rich friend, but he always had the video games and the nice shoes. And I didn't go to bed and sleep because I was a bedwetter, so I stayed up all night and watched everybody sleep because I was too afraid to fall asleep. That makes me so sad. I know. That's bad. Did they know you were a bed wetter? No, they did not know I was a bed wetter. But let me tell you this, and I talked about this before on the show. I used to pack the same exact clothes I was wearing to go to bed in a bag. Because if I wet the bed in the middle of the night or wet the floor, I would always try to say, I like to sleep on the floor. And I would bring a hefty bag, green bag in there, and I would put it around my waist. You did not. I swear to you.

00:09:13 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 1:

In your sleeping bag?

00:09:14 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 2:

In my sleeping bag. Yeah. And if I wet the bed, which I did at a couple of sleepovers, I'd quickly change my clothes in the morning to the clothes I was wearing so nobody knew that I had.

00:09:24 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 1:

I mean, actually, that's a very smart idea. But that still makes me so sad that you had to, like, plan that.

00:09:29 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 2:

Why do you think I wasn't really invited over to a lot of sleepovers?

00:09:32 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 3:

You smelled like pee.

00:09:34 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 2:

I had the pee smell. Maybe Andrew's right. We were talking about Lucy's big birthday party tonight. And what is the term that you used again?

00:09:46 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 1:

it's a sleep was a late over a late sleepover i like that yeah you know what we never thought

00:09:53 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

of fun things like that when i so when i was parents of the little guys you know we just said get the hell out of my house

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 3:

You're not staying over. Like, we didn't come up with names and things. Like, you moms and dads nowadays.

00:10:04 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 5:

I did not come up with this name. I was told that this is what it's called.

00:10:06 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 3:

This is what it's called. It's called Get Off My Lawn. I remember Joey one time having a sleepover, and they destroyed our basement so bad that everybody in our house was, like, grounded. Really? Like, we were so upset. Yeah, because sometimes you get sleepovers, and you're like, what in the world, man? You guys do this to your own homes? Where they, you know, just go crazy. Um, we were talking about that and then I talked about how I was a bedwetter, uh, Blake, are you there?

00:10:36 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:10:37 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 3:

Blake said he got a story for us. What's that, Blake?

00:10:41 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 1:

So, um, I used to be a prolific bedwetter. Um, I had to wear like the pull-ups, which was just glorified diapers.

00:10:49 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:10:50 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 1:

Uh, so in third grade, I got invited to a birthday party. Um, and you know, as soon as that happened, the gear started turning, like how I was going to get through this birthday party without a wearing a pull-up and a B getting caught as a bedwetter. Um, so my mom let his mom know, which was embarrassing. Um, but my plan that night was similar to you. I, he had a pool. So I put on my bathing suit in my sleeping bag, slept on the floor, ended up, you know, peeing the bed. So I woke up the next morning and I'm in my bathing suit everyone else has just woken up to his dad's making pancakes and stuff for us and my first

00:11:31 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 5:

thing was hey who wants to go swimming oh that was smart they're all they're all eating breakfast

00:11:36 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 1:

and i ran out jumped in the pool and i was you know swimming washing off the pee and uh that was

00:11:42 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 3:

my that was my sleepover experience that would have been brilliant if i could have pulled something like that up a little morning uh swim who doesn't want to have one and then you just smell like

00:11:53 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 1:

chlorine not pee yeah which i don't know if they knew or not no one told me i thought i was so

00:12:01 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 3:

smooth hey question for you because as a uh person that is was a bedwetter um when you were younger and stuff what what was it do you think do you think that you were just a real sound sleeper because that's what chelsea thinks because now i can sleep through anything oh yeah 100 i i i am

00:12:20 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 1:

the deepest sleeper ever i would have dreams where i would feel like i'm peeing in the dream

00:12:24 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 3:

and i would wake up and i'd be peeing in real life yeah it's crazy that's how that's how i was i was honestly such a deep sleeper and i still am uh because of that so hang on the phone actually no you don't hang on the phone why i say that i think like i'm giving you a contest hold on the phone and i'm gonna get you some pull-ups here hey congratulations you won pull-ups courtesy of You know, pull-ups were one of those things where, to me, as a kid, everybody knew you had them because you had puffy pants. Like, you know what I mean? Like, your pants were always kind of like you looked like you were wearing, you know, puffy pants. They needed to make those things a little bit slimmer for you. Yeah.
