My name is Medterica, Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, But some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.

You want to get drunk at the holiday party and flirt with the receptionist? No, I'm not saying to do all of that. You just come and you get drunk. That's my idea of a holiday party. So here, this is the interesting part. I was looking at some of the other companies. I work with some of the other shows and stuff, and one of them is I get a chance to work with the guys down in Tampa. They had their party on Friday, and it looked like their party was at some place that was right on the water, which would look really cool. And then Paul, our old boss, is running the L.A., California stations. They're having their holiday party, if they already didn't have it, at Disneyland.

What? Shut up. C-Dog, what the hell? Wait, okay. I'm so jealous. Which I saw.

It was amazing. Oh, here's our holiday party. Our holiday party. Yeah, you're right. Thursday. I'm like, geez, that thing came up on me.

Thursday. I already have plans that I canceled once for something else work-related, and I don't want to cancel on these people again. So I don't know that I'm going to come.

I did love the years that we had parties, and it was mostly when Paul was here, and we got to get super dressed up, and it was like a fun, fancy night out. That was really fun.

Well, he also had it at his house, too, which was pretty cool. Can I say this? You call us up and tell us the best holiday party that you've ever gone to. Right. Because I heard UWM had their holiday party last week, and I heard that, and this is UWM, which is a big mortgage company that's owned by Matt Ishbia.

It was insanity. My old quick and long days, that's why I wanted to work for that organization. Prior to me working for the organization. Prior to me working. Organization. Yeah. Prior to that, I went to a holiday party. That was the crazy. It was three levels of fun. Every level had a different theme. What? As soon as you walk in, it was a guy painted to look like the statue of Detroit, like the spirit of Detroit. He stayed like that the entire day. Poor bastard. Like, he literally stayed like that. The second level was like this freaky earth level where it was like, I sat there, I just felt like I was on mushrooms. They had, um, I don't know the proper term. Where were you, Kev? No, no, I was on Hennessy. I don't know the proper term, but they had little people walking around. Yeah, there you go. No, no, no, that's right, that's right. It was like fake trees around, people dressed up like minotaurs. It was crazy, bro.

So, the very first radio company that I ever worked for, my first radio job, shout out to ms communications because they would throw a party and their building was right in downtown indianapolis it was beautiful and it was at like like ours is on thursday it was it was at the radio station but the stuff they gave out and everybody got something they would always do like a casino thing you'd go home with like big screen tvs a thousand dollar check an entire spa day a weekend vacation airline tickets i mean nobody went home with less than like i don't know a $500 prize value, something.

My last holiday party I had when I was in Arizona and before I moved back to the Midwest and moved back to Detroit, Debbie Wagner was the general manager and we didn't have it at Christmas. She said, we're having it in January because we're going to do more because we can spend more. And we had it at a resort in town called the Westin La Paloma. and every employee got a room at the Westin La Paloma because January was kind of a dead for the holiday or the hotels. Everybody got a room. We partied all night on Friday and then it turned into a hotel-like hookup party. It was crazy. It was. It was like our, and when I mean that, I mean, I'm talking about like our party that we threw, not that we all hooked up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But like where everybody was just having fun.

Clean that up, sir.

But we went home. Chelsea and I went home and had our own hookup. That was through the days. But let me. Hey, Joe. So, hold on. Yeah, so we just worked for a Ford dealership, a car dealership, and we were at a really nice facility. It was an open bar, and the owner of the dealership gave everybody a gift. work holiday party so my previous bosses were the best they would do themed summer parties for like staff appreciation from project runway to clue to painting but our christmas parties we always got super spoiled they would cook we would get drinks we would play trivia to earn like monopoly money and then we would auction like 100 bags and it would be from cash to gift cards to get gifts to fun gifts, just fun, fun, fun stuff. About five years ago when I worked in construction doing concrete, we would have Christmas parties who'd give us a bonus of a couple thousand dollars, but they had a bingo. I won a 65-inch TV that year.

Well, in college, I went to Michigan State, and my boyfriend worked at Marriott right there. And their party was in the ballroom. They gave you free, like, ham. But everyone got a trip to any Marriott in the world. and the grand prize was Hawaii or Paris. Are you kidding me? Oh, my gosh.

My name is Patrick Fetway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees.
