Mojo in the morning show. So Megan wants to know if it's okay to do this. And I've always wanted to know if there are any people that have ever, you know, actually not felt weird doing it. But what's going on?

00:01:54 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 1:

So, somebody please tell me if this is a scam or not, because now that I'm thinking about it, it might be. But I saw this engagement ring for sale on Facebook, and let me tell you, it is a gorgeous engagement ring. And it is, I mean, it's pricey, but it's not as expensive as I thought it was going to be. And I was surprised that there weren't, like, a ton of comments of people trying to buy it. But then I thought, well, the ring's probably cursed. It probably has, like, a bad vibe to it. I don't think a lot of people, and I could be wrong, would want, like, a my relationship didn't work out so the ring is for sale kind of ring for their engagement. But as a single lady who, nobody's going to buy me a ring. I see this as a treat yourself moment, but I'm worried, even if I'm not buying it for a love connection, I'm just buying it for myself, that it will bring bad vibes to my life. Bad juju. Bad juju.

00:02:52 - 00:02:53 | Speaker 3:

I don't know.

00:02:53 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. Because you're not using it as an engagement ring. I say go for it.

00:02:57 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 1:

Okay, but what happens if I use it as an engagement ring at the club or, sorry, I don't know who I am.

00:03:04 - 00:03:05 | Speaker 2:

Wait, what?

00:03:05 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 1:

At the club. What? Does anybody even go to clubs anymore? I went to the bar. Like if you use it to put on so that people don't hit on you? Well, yeah, because I have such a problem with that. No, I actually feel like if I wore it, people would hit on me more.

00:03:17 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 2:

You want something that somebody else has? I think if you want it just because it's a beautiful piece of jewelry and you're not going to – I say go for it.

00:03:25 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 7:

I wonder, would you do it though if like –

00:03:29 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 2:

For an engagement ring?

00:03:30 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 7:

If you were going to do it.

00:03:31 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm super – Really? I'm kind of superstitious about that. But that's really hypocritical of me to say because, I mean, I called off a wedding many, many, many moons ago and ended up selling the wedding dress that I never wore and somebody bought it.

00:03:47 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think it's different for each person. And you're giving that, listen, the ring's going to be around long after we leave this earth. I mean, it's going to outlast our bodies. So I think, like, it's the purpose of the person wearing it, and you start a new kind of juju for that ring.

00:04:04 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 7:

Les Gold from American Jewelry and Pawn, you know, the famous show, he told me that wedding rings are some of their biggest items that they get. Really? People want to purchase right away. So there's obviously people that are buying them and purchasing them.

00:04:19 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:04:20 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 7:

So, I mean, I guess if you don't know what the bad, you know, karma was with it or a bad thing that happened with it.

00:04:28 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 2:

That is true. Maybe it was just two people who said, you know what? We're better off as friends. We probably shouldn't do this.

00:04:34 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 1:

Or something absolutely horrific happened because of the ring. And now the curse is going to be passed down for generations through my bloodline. You don't know.

00:04:45 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 3:

No, it's your job to purify that ring, to reinvigorate it.

00:04:49 - 00:04:52 | Speaker 1:

I don't know how to do this, but nothing about me has ever been pure.

00:04:53 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 7:

Also, we're just all going to breeze past the fact that Megan just said clurb. We're not going to. Yeah. Nobody's going to.

00:05:00 - 00:05:03 | Speaker 6:

I make bad choices, Mike. We knew that.

00:05:03 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 7:

Rochelle, you have advice for Megan.

00:05:06 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 5:

I do. I would get the ring because you deserve it. And then I would get some sage and I would sage the ring.

00:05:14 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 6:

A lot of people saying that. Yeah.

00:05:16 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 4:

So does that work?

00:05:17 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 6:

As somebody who has a lot of smoke around her all the time, what is sage smoke going to do?

00:05:22 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 2:

people are texting about a shop a witch shop in milford who will clean and purify

00:05:30 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 3:

i'll do it too for the low low price of 1999 i will purify that ring or do do i like um i grew

00:05:40 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 6:

up at a catholic school i feel like i could just break into a church drop it in the holy water

00:05:43 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 3:

right by the door and then leave right same thing i know you've been to church a while but you don't They don't have to break in. They're actually open.

00:05:49 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 6:

Oh.

00:05:51 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 7:

You know what's interesting though? If you're not doing it for a relationship to get married, who cares, right? All it is is now a piece of jewelry. Yeah.

00:06:01 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 6:

Right, but the bad vibes could be embedded into it. So, okay, what if it curses my bad luck in relationships, whether romantically or not? Or, God forbid, what if some demon spirit is alive and well inside of the rock, and then it attacks my family members. You don't know.

00:06:19 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 7:

Well, I think you're overthinking this, but I will say this. I have a buddy of mine who went to an estate sale, bought the bedroom set of some rich lady that died, and they put it in their house, and he said he cannot have, he has not had a good night's sleep since he got it because the old lady died in the bed. He said he feels-

00:06:41 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 3:

That's our own brains put in, listen. I agree. I'm superstitious. I do believe in, you know, spirits and stuff like that. But I also know science has told us like 120 billion people have walked this earth since the earliest of man. Every step of earth you step on, every air you breathe and the water you drink, everything's been touched by former lives and all that stuff.

00:07:05 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but the fact you're sleeping in, I don't know. Okay, but what if it was a rich person's ring and then I bring that rich person mentality into my life? There you go. What if I'm blessed with that? That's the attitude you've got to have. That's it.

00:07:16 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 3:

So I might as well put some positive thought into it. I guarantee you, the old woman, if she had a lifetime of horrible negativity, she didn't think, okay, I have to haunt somebody. You know what? I'm going to pick that bed I bought at Art Van 20 years ago, and I'm going to haunt that for the next person.

00:07:31 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 7:

Chris, what's up?

00:07:33 - 00:07:34 | Unknown:

What's up?

00:07:34 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 8:

It's a first-time caller.

00:07:35 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 7:

Oh, long-time listener. Welcome, Chris. Not a long-time listener.

00:07:38 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 8:

Long-time listener.

00:07:39 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 7:

Yes, absolutely. What's going on?

00:07:41 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 8:

I just wanted to say I just turned 28 And for my 28th birthday my mom gave me My dad's wedding band from their divorce 20 years ago And I personally love it I think it made me who I am I think there's maybe a reason that relationship didn't happen

00:07:55 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 7:

Well there's a reason why it did happen Because now you're here right? Exactly

00:08:00 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 8:

And it made me who I am And I think maybe that relationship didn't work out But if it's a nice ring and it's something she wants Then she should absolutely pick that up

00:08:09 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 7:

I think that's actually a good thing We've got a lot of listeners that have gone through divorces, and we've had divorces on our show. I think that that's the thing to do with a ring. I would give the ring to your child, especially if your child was made in the love of you guys being married. Why not give them the ring to be able to say, you know what? There wasn't anything wrong when we made you, so here you go. Here's the ring. I think it's a good idea.

00:08:37 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 6:

His name is Chris, right?

00:08:38 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 7:

Yes.

00:08:38 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 6:

Chris, hear me out. you already have the wedding band. You buy me the ring. Let's make this happen.

00:08:44 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 8:

I could make that a deal.

00:08:47 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 7:

And he sounds cute too, right? Is that what you're saying?

00:08:50 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 6:

At this point, I don't care what he looks like.

00:08:52 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 7:

Company would be nice. Casey, what's up?

00:08:57 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 5:

Hi there.

00:08:58 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 7:

00:08:59 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I was just calling to tell you about the ring situation.

00:09:03 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:09:04 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 5:

My wedding or my diamond for my wedding band And it's from my mom and my dad's marriage, and they didn't last either. And I think it's more sentimental than anything. And I definitely agree with Spike, and I don't think that everything has bad juju. So I think she should get it.

00:09:20 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, that's a good idea. All right. And if not, can we get it? Where can we get all of this thing?

00:09:26 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 1:
