That's a Mojo in the morning. All right, it's Mojo in the morning show. Phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE. Text 95500. If you call the show, we'd love to know if you're a first time, long time. If you're a texter, know that we will call you and ask you to come on and make that comment on the radio. Shannon, you were out. Was it yesterday that you were out? Yep. And went to a place that reminded Wes of something.

00:02:30 - 00:02:35 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, so Wes and I had a little, you guys know how much I hate the term date night, but we did have a hot date.

00:02:35 - 00:02:36 | Speaker 4:

Actually, wasn't it a date early evening?

00:02:37 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 6:

It was a date early evening. It was a 5.15 dinner reservation. But that's actually because this restaurant, I've been wanting to go there for years and years, and I'll shut them out. It's called Lady of the House. It's in Detroit. It's like five minutes from this radio station. But they are so hard to get into for a great reason because it was top five dinners I've ever, ever had in the city. But it was phenomenal. So props to Chef Kate and everybody over there. But we were on our way there and I've never been there before. But I said to Wes, who made the reservation, I'm like, oh, have you ever been to this place before? And he got this smile on his face and I'm like, ooh, there's a story. and he said well i have kind of when he after he got divorced and he first started dating he said that he got set up i think it was like a blind date and so he agreed to meet this girl at the bar at this restaurant at lady of the house and he said when he got there he very quickly realized that she had been drinking like had gone to a happy hour or something beforehand and was completely wasted off of her off of her mind and um and so he said it was to the point where he couldn't even like sit down and have a date with her and so he was like i think that we need to get you home so he ended up taking her he's like i didn't even trust an uber to get her like back to her so they left her car and he had to drive her home drop her off and that was it they never ended up going out on a date ever again that's so embarrassing she he said she reached out a couple of months later and like apologized and wanted to see if they could you know strike something up again and he was like she just nervous and that was the only thing i don't know but he said she was absolutely sloshed and so that's what that was his memory of that restaurant

00:04:29 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 4:

What do you do if you go out on a date with somebody that you just met on Hinge or Bumble or whatever, and they're so wasted? Like, honestly, at some point, I'd be like, I would try to put them in their own Uber, but I'd be afraid to, because I wouldn't want to even take them home, because I'd be afraid something, you know?

00:04:44 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 5:

Well, remember that second date update we did just a couple of weeks ago where the guy had six drinks in two hours on their date? Like, it's scary.

00:04:52 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so here's a question. 844 Mojo Live. Has anybody had their date be so drunk and they felt like... all of a sudden their date turned into them literally doing a sobriety thing with them

00:05:04 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 3:

trying to figure out what's up zach i will definitely chime in because uh this happened to me a couple days ago um been on a few dates with the same person and uh they got drunk like five times in a row so i've been on five dates with the same person and she gets drunk every single time she gets drunk every single time so we went to a wedding uh she was like blacked out we went to a nice like Chop House restaurant she got blacked out and I'm like

00:05:30 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 2:

after the fourth time

00:05:33 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 4:

I was like when you say this blacked out and I'd love to know from Wes the amount of drinks how many drinks are you drinking to get blacked out

00:05:40 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 3:

well she drank before the dinner so she came drunk and I was like what's going on she was like oh I had a few drinks before and I'm like oh dude let's not let's not go out

00:05:53 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 5:

That sounds like an issue.

00:05:55 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 4:

Wait, so what is, so you've done this, you said how many times now? It was our fifth one, like last week, a couple weeks ago. So why are you going for five? What is the story?

00:06:05 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 3:

Well, I thought that she was going through like some things. Well, she is going through some things, but like I felt bad. So I was like, okay, let's try it again next month. And then she came drunk again. And I was like, okay, let's try it again next month.

00:06:18 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 4:

So question for you, and you know, I would ask this to anybody that has this happen. when you do this and you're out with them and now you're it goes from a date to babysitting

00:06:29 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 3:

babysitting yeah really like she so out of the five times two out of the five she's thrown up oh my god you're still there with her when she's not anymore not anymore we're not talking anymore but like i had to talk to my therapist and be like what should i do about this like it's not really my responsible uh she said it's not my responsibility yeah and she needs to see someone but like i can't be the one to tell her to see someone which is why it's not my place man

00:06:58 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 4:

let me ask you a quick question yeah yeah so you got to do an intervention with a girl he just met but say hey this is the reason i don't want to go out with you anymore maybe yeah were you were you sticking around because the sex was actually kind of good or something or what was

00:07:13 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 3:

the sex was was pretty good yeah but i mean no i i did feel bad too because she's going through do some stuff so i'm like well let's trauma bond let's hang out like let's let's talk about it but

00:07:27 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 4:

uh can i say this though this is the thing that would be interesting whenever they come around and they ask you hey do you want another drink you want another drink at some point and you're a guy that's mindful of your your money yeah at some point are you kind of like no you know well

00:07:40 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 3:

we don't want any more i try not to like after she's come drunk we don't go to get more drinks hey you want some food let's order a pizza after she comes drunk it's your turn yeah well um

00:07:53 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 5:

and that's what the situation was with west she this girl with they didn't even have the date

00:07:57 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 4:

because she was so drunk before the date oh my god all right does this question does this run for high too because i wonder how many times people have gone out on dates with somebody that was like blazed i've never seen someone throw up while high but but it's not that though it's just that they're incoherent yeah i mean come on i've seen some people that are like they're basically spaceships i've grown down before i took too much of an edible that was my bad

00:08:21 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 1:

apparently you're not supposed to eat edibles from a frat house basement in bg bad idea bad idea but i think in general it's just a bad conversation it's not like you're

00:08:31 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 2:

scared for the person's health hey dana what's up hey so i want to tell you about a first date i went on yeah go ahead hi hello yeah hi yeah so i it was one o'clock in the afternoon and i met him and uh he is he was so drunk and he kept looking at my my boobs telling me how big they were and he just wanted to touch them i was like okay you need to calm down i like your boobies but he would not stop and he was making like the hand grabs like as if he was grabbing them

00:09:14 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 4:

motorboat?

00:09:15 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 2:

and I got up and left

00:09:17 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 4:

wow but you're saying was he drunk?

00:09:20 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 2:

oh he was hammered

00:09:21 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 4:

so it wasn't it was just a horny this guy was drunk

00:09:24 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 2:

oh yeah I said 1 o'clock in the afternoon

00:09:28 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 3:

was it like on a Sunday for the Lions game or like

00:09:32 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 2:

it was on Memorial weekend

00:09:35 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 4:

oh so it was a party weekend Well, but that's weird, though, that, you know, you get that drunk. Do you feel bad and feel like you have to drive him home, or do you just let him be?

00:09:45 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I let him be. First off, I was not going to let him in my car.

00:09:49 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. You don't want a drunk guy that's sitting there trying to grab your boobs in there. I know. That sucks, too, because you don't want the guy to get behind the wheel of a car, but is it your responsibility if you're out with him? I don't know.

00:10:00 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 7:

Roy, what's up? What's up, man? First time all the time. Hey, hey, hey. Roy's on the phone. Roy Jones. Who? Roy Jones. Roy Jones.

00:10:14 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 4:

Your turn. What's going on, Roy?

00:10:16 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 7:

I just had a comment on the same situation. Yeah. It was just we were smoking weed. Like, I was dating a girl. I really liked her. But she could not function without weed. Agitated all the time.

00:10:29 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 4:

and so would you find out that if she wasn't high she wasn't functional but if she was high

00:10:38 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 7:

she was almost active and talkative when she wasn't high and more fun really but and then she like shut down and was there a point though where was there a point where it got too much yeah it was just a turn off i used to smoke but i mean not to the point i needed it to vibe

00:10:58 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 4:

hang out can i tell you something though i wonder how many guys or or i'm sure it's more women hate when the guy smells or the girl smells like weed like too is that even a thing anymore i know

00:11:10 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 5:

some people do and some people prefer to consume that way but i feel like those vape pens are way

00:11:15 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 4:

more popular oh my god megan i smell it in intersections of cars so do i yeah i'm like

00:11:20 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 5:

this is crazy you gotta your body's gotta smell but i don't feel like it's as prevalent as it

00:11:26 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 4:

probably could be with the legalization since we've been in eastern market man i feel like i've literally had it on my body and i don't and i'm not doing it what's up robin hi hi uh well we

00:11:37 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 8:

have this friend that we've known for probably 30 40 years that his wife passed away two years ago and recently he started dating a woman that every time we see her she's drunk she can't walk he's like oh we're out bar hopping and he never drank so it was strange but getting to know her we you You know, he's like, oh, she'll get over it. I'm helping her on it. He goes, how do you like her? I go, I don't know her to like her. She's always drunk. And she's very nice, but you don't know her. And then he goes, oh, come on up to the bowling alley with us. We go up there, and she's already wasted when we get there. She can't talk. She's slurring. There's stuff coming out of her mouth. He's trying to feed her. And we're walking out, and she's. He's a babysitter. Yeah, he kept trying. Yeah, and we had everybody looking, and I was just so embarrassed. and my husband's like never again we're not doing this again she's always drunk it's embarrassing and i you know he says to me what do you think i go your hands fall i go i don't understand it this isn't you he goes well sometimes you get with someone you start to become like them

00:12:40 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 4:

interesting yeah i wonder if that does happen i wonder it's also not good in this case yeah you're hanging out with them i i will say this that the throw up drunk is bad the angry obnoxious drunks worse though yeah like throw up drunk sucks because obviously it's messy but uh the angry obnoxious you're like scared for yourself you know and others so well all right you got her number by the way see kev uh may one day be dating i'm straight i've been with drunks i'm not on that okay Kev's going to stick with the tall girl.
