yeah we don't have to worry about that nobody's getting fired after our company christmas party this year because guess when our christmas party begins it begins in 10 minutes from now yes our company christmas party i found this out i so i know that we're having there our um uh we're having a contest we're having a uh christmas uh sweater contest and i knew that we were having like a little lunch but i didn't realize that it all is beginning at nine o'clock this morning we're still on the radio we'll never get fired at our company christmas party because we're gonna make the company christmas party maybe we should have saved all our commercials

from the whole show until the end so we can just run out there play all the commercials for 10

minutes and run out there it's the earliest christmas party i think that we've ever had before and i don't know what the the reasoning is if maybe i because i think jay towers is off the air at nine o'clock maybe they did it specifically for jay but don't they know that we are on till 10 30 every single morning and the amazing part of this whole thing was like i thought that i thought they cared they loved us i thought that we were loved around

well you think about there's only 10 or 12 people in in this building in detroit who have consistently been in this building every day for the last three years. Half of them are on this show, you know, the other half for management. But it seems like, yeah, with us being working, I mean, it's a half-day party. They're giving... You know what this is? I don't know if the other half of the day they get to leave or if they have to work

after that. I think this is Colleen's way of doing it so that I don't have to offend Allison or something from J-Show. What do you mean? So Allison can be there for the first hour and a half i everybody always thinks that i offend allison all i do is say hi to her anytime i've ever said hi to her for some reason people think i'm offending all i'm saying hi but they think that i i don't know maybe this is their way of separating us like they're gonna have shifts it's shifts of christmas because i know that we're having lunch we're having breakfast too so i well i'm not gonna have breakfast because we're still in

there till 10 30 i mean when you go to the bathroom run out and grab something on your

way back i understand but i can't eat breakfast and lunch i won't be that hungry i'm on a diet

I know, but this is legal. Like, we can actually legally drink. Can I put this question to the listeners? Is anybody having a work Christmas party this year, or are they extinct? Because I feel like a lot of companies just wrote them off before COVID, and now that was the final nail in the coffin. Like, my girlfriend's company stopped doing them. So her and – they used to do really big, nice parties, but now her and her friend just picked up a dive bar, spread the word to show up after work. Like, they kind of created an unofficial office party later in the week because they don't have one anymore.

Yeah, so we had our first party back on Friday. I'm from Grand Haven, so we had it at Kirby, which that was pretty fun. And then tomorrow, we're having a building Christmas party, working in an office building. And we're having mimosas, Bloody Mary.

I work for ClickBit, so we're a software company.

But, yeah, they know how to party, I guess. I love it.

I've got to be honest with you, I'd rather, I mean, maybe the costs aren't equal, but we talked earlier about how people aren't getting the Christmas bonuses they used to get. I almost would rather just have them spend more money on a gathering like this and have us go somewhere and get together outside of the office.

We're actually going to have like a small party ourselves. We're a small company. and so we we're just getting it catered and then we do like a little secret Santa gift because there's only 13 of us and so we pick out names and then we buy each other gifts and pass it out.

and things like that, so it's pretty nice.

Hi, I'm a store manager at a store in the mall, and I just take my employees out in January where we pick a fun venue. Last year we went bowling. A lot of companies do that.

Yeah, they do it after the holiday.

I like the after the holiday one because everybody's all crazy busy with their family and trying to wrap up the year.

Let's be honest, a little post-holiday depression,

nothing to look forward to yeah so this is pretty cool and it gives your your employees incentive

to come back and work after the holidays right exactly and for us because we're so busy during the holidays that we don't we don't have any time to do anything else and it's my thank you like i pay for it myself for them as a thank you so that they feel appreciated and valued for all the hard

My office, what they do is take everyone up. We run a place out. We have food, and then we have a bunch of items they purchase, and we all get fake money, and it's an auction. That sounds cool. That's actually really cool. It's absolutely crazy because if two people have the same amount left and they're bidding the same amount, then the challenges break out. There's, you know, anything from, like, planks, who can hold the planks the longest, to, you know, lifting weights.
