mojo in the morning so we'll title this one uh the dog ate my homework or

00:02:39 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 4:

or bigger than my homework my nephew was telling me yesterday about how his dog Ate an entire basketball

00:02:48 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 6:

Oh my god Like an inflated basketball

00:02:52 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 4:

Well it started inflated Because that was my thought Like I'm not sure how he did that But then you realize Well once he bit into it and punctured it It deflated And he started chewing on it Tearing it into pieces like rawhide Ate an entire basketball Pooped it out in segments And I just thought Oh my gosh We gotta do this as a topic

00:03:14 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 6:

If you got that on TikTok, by the way, that would be like a million. I know.

00:03:17 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 4:

That's what I said. I said, did you record it? Because you could have got him an endorsement deal with Wilson or the NBA or something. Wow. But I know we're going to get a lot of calls from listeners whose dogs ate the craziest stuff because we see it all the time. I mean, we're talking about this news story that Aviva Insurance Company put out where they get over 4,000 insurance claims a year from accidental damage from, quote, unquote, the dog ate it. And it's amazing.

00:03:43 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 6:

You can actually put that on your, like, homeowner's insurance if the dog ate something?

00:03:47 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so it depends on what it is, but if, like, there's been incidences of dogs eating laptops. Hearing aids is a big one. Jewelry and hearing aids, for some reason, I don't know. I think it's the scent of the human that was wearing the hearing aid or the jewelry makes them eat it. Wallets. Maybe that's, like, the basketball where it's that leather consistency and it's made of an animal. So maybe, but this insurance company also dogs have eaten wedding rings, shoes.

00:04:20 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 6:

My dogs. So by the way, today is Louie's birthday. Louie is nine today. So happy ninth birthday to Louie.

00:04:27 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 3:

Are you going to have a puppy party?

00:04:28 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 6:

Thank God. I think that we're busy. I don't know. Chelsea will definitely do something for Louie because Louie is her favorite. But my dogs love these and my neighbor got them for them. They're like stuffed animals, but they're especially made for dogs, and they just go to town with it. Oh, yeah. And they go crazy on them.

00:04:49 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 2:

Do they have those really soft, like, little stringy, like, is that the texture of them?

00:04:53 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

No, they look, honestly, they look like, they look like, like, humans. I don't know.

00:04:59 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Like humans.

00:04:59 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

They look like.

00:05:00 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

Stuffed animals.

00:05:00 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, like human stuffed animals, yeah. And the dogs just go to town with them. But it's wild she found this brand that the dogs cannot really bite and rip into.

00:05:08 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 1:

We had to get that for Dublin, too. It's tough like Teflon because-

00:05:12 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 2:

It's amazing.

00:05:13 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 1:

There's something about certain breeds of dog have those little sharp canine teeth that will just find the stitches and figure out a way to break anything open, no matter how destructive proof it's supposed to be.

00:05:26 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I'd love to not only hear some of your stories, but I'd like to hear the crazy ones. And I'd like to know if people had to wait through to see if the dog passed it. You know, like stuff like the jewelry. Like, what do you do? Patrice?

00:05:44 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 5:

Yep, I'm here.

00:05:46 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 2:

Speaking of jewelry, what did the dog eat?

00:05:49 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 5:

He ate his owner's wedding ring. They were playing toss. And the ring fell off his finger, and the dog caught it and swallowed it.

00:05:57 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh.

00:05:58 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 3:

I mean, that's a monitor of the poop situation right there.

00:06:02 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. We took an x-ray, and you could see the ring. He had to monitor the poop. Oh, my gosh.

00:06:08 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 2:

Do you work in a vet's office?

00:06:10 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I work in a veterinary hospital.

00:06:12 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. And did the ring come in Clara's spit?

00:06:18 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 5:

Oh, it was Clara. You knew it was a ring.

00:06:19 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 2:

That's wild.

00:06:22 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 5:

Initially, that would sound like. Stop everything.

00:06:26 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. It would sound like a big excuse, right, if you caught your husband not wearing his ring and he said, oh, the dog ate it.

00:06:33 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 2:

Taylor, this is a very popular item that the dogs like to eat.

00:06:37 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, my boyfriend's dog likes to chew the crotch out of all of my underwear that he can get a hold of.

00:06:43 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 1:

It's so popular with dogs doing that. I mean, obviously, it's something to it, but you've got to hide that.

00:06:50 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 7:

It's a male dog and it's not fixed. I don't know.

00:06:53 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, my sister's dog, it's Lab Mix, and he, I was there the other day, and he was eating tampons out of the trash. Like, there's something about, but I say that because there's something about, like, the female, human-female scent.

00:07:12 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 1:

So, it's never the granny panties, right? It's always the expensive lingerie.

00:07:16 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 7:

True. Oh, yeah, it's always the nice Calvin Klein.

00:07:20 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 2:

Katie, what did your dog eat?

00:07:23 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 6:

A wooden door frame.

00:07:25 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Like the entire wooden door frame or just, like, start biting on it?

00:07:30 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 6:

About 12 inches of it was destroyed and about five inches was actually digested.

00:07:37 - 00:07:37 | Unknown:

Oh, no.

00:07:38 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 6:

So my old house that I had had a – the living room was an add-on. It used to be a garage. So there was, like, a big, like, like a patio door, really, that led to my living room from my laundry room. And I shut that door because she would also eat my couch. And I shut that door, and she really wanted to get in that room one day and started to eat the door frame right off the wall.

00:08:05 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my goodness.

00:08:07 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 2:

Our dogs used to scratch at the doors.

00:08:09 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 6:

The bottoms of the doors.

00:08:11 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:08:11 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 6:

No, she was going to eat the whole thing wide open. And then I did have a different dog, actually, the cage, the metal cages. She bit onto that so hard, she ripped a hole through it.

00:08:26 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Dang. What's up? This is not one that you want to see your dog eat. Rocky, what did your dog eat?

00:08:35 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 4:

My dog ate my dentures. Really? Yeah. And I woke up one morning, and I couldn't find them. And, you know, it's embarrassing enough to be on the radio telling people that you have fake teeth. So I woke up one morning, and the lid was open to the container where it was at, and I couldn't find them anywhere. I was literally blaming my children for stealing my children. So I would walk around, and I have a 90-pound pit bull, and I go up to him, and I look at him, see what he's doing, and he's chewing on something, chewing on it. And he has probably about three teeth left that he hadn't dissolved into his mouth and swallowed. So, yeah, when I asked the dentist, I said, well, why did he do this? He said, well, they taste like you and they smell like you. Why wouldn't he do that? It's a cute toy that tastes like daddy.

00:09:23 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's wild.

00:09:25 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 3:

Now, do you wear those dentures again after they come back out? No, no, no, no, no.

00:09:31 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 4:

I got rid of them. I threw them out, and then I got new ones, which cost me $13.

00:09:36 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I was going to say, how much does that cost? That's expensive, huh?

00:09:41 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah. My dog ended up costing me $1,300 in the whole situation.

00:09:45 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 1:

But now you and the dog have a nice smile.

00:09:48 - 00:09:49 | Unknown:

Oh, absolutely.

00:09:50 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Hey, thanks for the call. Beth, we were talking about the underwear, and Shannon mentioned her sister's dog with the tampons. This is a wild story.

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 4:

Visuals got to be amazing. What's going on?

00:10:01 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 7:

It was horrible. I left the drawer open in the bathroom, and he got a T.L. tax and ate it because I found the wrapper. Yes. So I waited and waited, and the next thing I know, I see the string out of his butt. No. He had to literally pull.

00:10:17 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 9:

You had to pull.

00:10:18 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 6:

Oh, they had to pull. They had to pull the string.

00:10:23 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

00:10:25 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 6:

Oh, God.

00:10:26 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 4:

Wow. What are the odds? Like a stick of dynamite Sticking right out of his booty

00:10:34 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 5:

Monthly training led you to that

00:10:37 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 4:

That's amazing

00:10:39 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 7:

Well I knew I had to get it out And I'm like oh my god Do or die Do or die

00:10:45 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 6:

And the risk I've heard from vets Is that the dogs The string could tie around their intestines Or cause a blockage in some way

00:10:53 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 7:

And it's really kind of dangerous to pull it out Because you don't know what it took to

00:10:57 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 4:

yeah yeah you know but i get to do it she's okay thank you does coralline eat anything uh

00:11:06 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 5:

i'm so incredibly lucky that she does not eat anything she tears it up but she never ingests it so i've lost quite a few pairs of like underwear or sock it's really anything i'll kick off in the middle of the night that sounded weird but it is true if i get hot in the middle of night and i throw anything onto the floor not really realizing it i'll wake up in the morning and be like and it's gone it's gone do you guys remember when i told the story about how jed

00:11:34 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 4:

slept over at the house and then left his weed pen yes and henry got at the weed pen yeah i uh saw the person that worked at the vet's office that had to tell us that no henry's not like dying henry's just high i still i will never forget that waiting in the waiting room and everybody looking at us when the woman said to us do you guys have marijuana around your house Oh, no. Are you kidding me? What?

00:11:59 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 6:

Now we're going to talk to our dog about theft. Where did he steal that from?

00:12:02 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 4:

It's unbelievable. But I saw them out, and they said, hey, just wanted to come up and say hi to you. And Stephanie came out, how's Henry doing, whatever, and talked about that. And I'm like, I have to tell you, that was one of the scariest moments I have ever had as a dog owner. Because I thought he was having seizures. I mean, he was, like, falling down and stuff. Only to think he had the best high ever that day. And it's so common, they say, especially, you know, with weed being legal. We're going to end on Rachel's because, of course, this is not something that you want your dog eating. Hi, Rachel. Good morning.

00:12:37 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 8:

Hello. Hi. Yes. So, yeah, he got a hold of my vibrator.

00:12:42 - 00:12:45 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no. What kind of dog do you have?

00:12:46 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 8:

He is a Catahoula in a lab.

00:12:49 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 4:

And wait, and the dog ate your, you know, personal device.

00:12:54 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 8:

Yes

00:12:55 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 4:

Did it like get to a point That it actually was still working

00:13:00 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 8:

No Thankfully it was just Like the rubber part Around it But I got it to him in time These are expensive I know That's what I was pissed off about

00:13:16 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 6:
