Mojo in the Morning Show. Just talking here in the studio. And it's got to be a little difficult to kind of like track things down. So you guys got kids and you got a lot of houses with going back and forth between parents and stuff. Shannon, what's going on?

00:01:47 - 00:03:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so I would say that that's one of the more difficult things about being divorced is trying to keep track of my kids, Lucy and Smith's stuff going between my house and their dad, Andrew's house. And usually we're pretty good about like the important things like Smith's blankie. Okay. Or blankies because he has three of them now. But Christmas toys has been a big one lately. Like I don't know what has gone where. So when they ask me for something specific, I legitimately have no clue if it's at my house or if it's at Andrew's house. And so Lucy lately has been looking for a couple of her Barbies that she got for Christmas and I checked my house they're not at my house Andrew checked at his house they're not at his house and so I said to her you know this is a really good lesson of you you're almost nine years old you have to you know keep track of your things and kind of remember where everything is that's really important well I was telling Wes about it last night on the phone and he was just really quiet which I thought was weird because Wes is never quiet and it turns out that his dog, who he brings to my house when he stays at my house, she is a very adorable Frenchie named Willow, has been eating Lucy's Barbies. And he has been too scared to tell me that the dog has been eating the Barbies. So he's like, I've been in the process of trying to order all of the new ones and I was going to replace them before she noticed, but it's too late. She noticed. And so he sent me all the pictures of all the Barbies lined up on his kitchen counter that He's been trying to go on, like, Amazon and Target and Walmart to replace for Lucy. They all have no arms, no legs.

00:03:29 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 5:

Oh, God, I wonder if the dog would poop them out and there'd be, like, an arm sticking out of them.

00:03:33 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 3:

There's probably been a hand or two or a shoe or two in Willow's poop.

00:03:37 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 6:

It's interesting. I totally, I've never asked, I've asked you how the kids get along with each other. Wes is, Wes, your fiance's kids, and your kids. I've never, I never knew about the dog thing. So how do the dogs get along with each other?

00:03:51 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 3:

They're okay. I mean, Charlie, so I have a 13-year-old toy poodle, okay? And Willow's still a puppy. She's two, maybe three. And so she has a ton of energy, and she is always in Charlie's face wanting to play. And sometimes you can tell Charlie's like, leave me alone. Old and grumpy. Yeah.

00:04:09 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 6:

It's kind of like how it is when Reese is around here around me.

00:04:13 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 3:

But now I think they're getting used to each other because they'll both lay by the little vent together and stuff. Oh, that's cool.

00:04:18 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 6:

So this is interesting because I know that there's many in our listening audience that are in situations where they have a divorce and they have to bring kids back and forth and stuff. Do you guys find it very difficult, like this stuff, like finding, losing? Because I've talked to some people where they'll be like, we had to finally just go duplicates. and we had to say nothing that you can't take anything from this house to that house because what ends up happening is you then, like at 9 o'clock at night, have to get in a car or somebody has to get in a car and go bring it to each other. And a lot of people don't live as close as you guys live to each other.

00:04:56 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I mean, buying duplicates can be super expensive. So we try really hard.

00:05:00 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 2:

say like it is your responsibility like they know they have to keep track of their backpack their lunchbox their coat you know that kind of stuff but toys i mean i don't know i just thought it was funny that all this stuff was broken and he was trying to hide it because he didn't want to

00:05:15 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 3:

admit that his dog was who would have thought oh we're we're finding out some things about him

00:05:21 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 4:

that we've got i'm telling you he didn't want the dog to get an eviction notice that's what it was Yeah.

00:05:26 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 3:

Did you remember the other day when I was asking you the question? I was like, you were mentioning stuff that you found out after you guys got engaged, and I talked about background checks. This poll came out of 1,000 singles that says that one in six run background checks. They Google them, run a full-on and pay for a background check. I was blown away that it was that high because one in six is not a small percentage of people that do that. In the background checks, does it show that the man's got a dog that...

00:05:59 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 2:

That's cray.

00:06:01 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 3:

That is a Barbie eater. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is a telephone number. Do you recall when you were younger and your parents were in separate houses and stuff through their divorce, did you ever have issues at all with some of your stuff? Did any of your stuff ever become an issue or your sister's stuff?

00:06:25 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean, and my parents lived a little bit further away. They were like 25, 30 minutes away from each other. So if we forgot something, we were SOL, you know, like nobody was driving it to the other parents' house.

00:06:35 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 3:

And back then, parents didn't care about their kids as much as they do nowadays. That is correct.

00:06:40 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 8:

That is correct.

00:06:41 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 3:

Actually, no, I'm sorry. It's not caring about your kids. We as parents are nuts. Like we do too much for our kids. That is also correct.

00:06:48 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 8:

I was going to say, that was the best part about being a child of divorce was pitting your parents against each other for better things at each other's house. Because if you had something over at dad's house, well, you could get a nicer version of that at mom's house. But then if you had a nicer version of that at mom's house, then dad would go out and buy you this because it was nice. Yeah, that didn't happen with my dad. He was like, this is what you get here, okay?

00:07:11 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember as a kid?

00:07:11 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 8:

I convinced him to buy my love.

00:07:12 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 2:

And my dad, I think my dad just wanted boys really bad. Like, obviously, he loves being a girl. Dad, he has three girls. But the clothes that he would buy us were so bad. They were boy clothes. And so we'd always, if we forgot something at mom's, like an article of clothing would be like, you know, wear it.

00:07:26 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 3:

He'd buy you something.

00:07:29 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 2:

He'd be like, here, you can just wear one of my T-shirts.

00:07:32 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Liz?

00:07:34 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 6:

Hi, yeah. So I texted in. I was, me and my ex-husband, we do duplicates of clothes, and then electronics and toys we do separate.

00:07:47 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 3:

So, but do you guys have the rule where nothing can be taken from each other, from the houses?

00:07:52 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 6:

uh yeah because it gets we only have the one daughter but it gets to the point where like he's getting mad if her tablet's not coming home so it's yeah just keep it there

00:08:05 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 3:

yeah just the problem though is if the if he has a nicer tablet for her than than you do then all of a sudden it's like the kids want to go over there and then you start well it sucks to be her

00:08:16 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 6:

I like you

00:08:19 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 3:

Wait a second Are you one of our parents? Abby, what's up?

00:08:24 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 7:

Good morning My father recently moved all the way down to Arizona And I visit him usually for a couple months a year And if I forget something down there It's going to take a long time for me to get it back Oh, yeah

00:08:37 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 4:

How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

00:08:41 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 7:

18

00:08:41 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 4:

18, okay So if you forget something It might be something important like a phone right it's not but but when you're six or seven i imagine like or shannon's age her children i mean that could be devastating that a barbie's missing that could ruin their world for a week so it just gets crazy because you don't you don't want to say every time you forget something we're going to have to drive to the other house but at the same time you don't want to have to buy another 40 barbie dollar expensive yeah it's not the same thanks for the call abby

00:09:13 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Alex?

00:09:15 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 5:

Hi, how are you?

00:09:16 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 3:

Good. What's going on?

00:09:17 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 5:

Hey, so I texted in about when I was single, when I was dating, I had to make sure that my other significant other didn't have a cat or a dog because my dog wasn't very friendly with the other ones.

00:09:29 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that makes dating tough. Yeah. Yeah. And they eat Barbies.

00:09:35 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, they do. Yeah.

00:09:38 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 3:

Thanks for the call.

00:09:39 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:
