This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, people in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be the thing you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. we've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits, I would go for a four-year.

All right, it is mojo in the morning. Shannon, one of my dreams came true.

Well, it didn't come true. You know exactly what I'm talking about.

Yes.

Last week after the show, Jess Mojo and I were in the studio and you had mentioned that you had a dream about me.

I did. It was not a good one either. She was in a bad place.

Well, yeah, it was like, so you're describing it to me and then you were like, are you okay? How are you doing? because this dream kind of has me concerned. And the whole time he's describing this dream, and not that I'm in like a bad place, but I am feeling very overwhelmed in my life at this point. And I'm going, yeah, that's true. That's true. Yep, that's true. And so then I feel like I talked your ear off for like an hour and a half after you told me about this dream because, I mean, there was a lot of truth to what you dreamed about.

Are you going to tell us the dream? It was weird. Well, no, because I don't want to divulge any of Shannon's stuff, but it was weird. It was another person on the show that needed help. It was like, oh, that's all I need right now.

She's like, you're not going anywhere, right? I was like, oh. We're not losing you.

No, it was one of those situations where it was not a good situation, and she was in a bad place. You know how all of us have gone through some places, and we all go, all right, we've got to have a show meeting after the show meeting and talk about it? and we go through it and it was like but it was in my dream and i woke up and i was like ah jesus and so she that morning during the show was kind of quiet like you know what i mean like we were we've all kind of had a goofy last few months you know what i mean like where we all laughed and having fun and everybody's having a good time after the show's over with and we do this is wild to let listeners in on stuff so the last you know couple three weeks we do our show and then in the nine o'clock hour when we catch up on commercials Kevin does his morning prayer and we all kind of sit there and does him you know off the air he does this thing and we all sit there and do it and we all kind of like oh it's cool it was like kind of a cool moment that we have yeah and then we we have these moments where we all kind of will share stuff but it was in my dream that we had the morning prayer you walk out of the studio and then shannon's in like this horrible place and and whatever and then is going through bad things so as i'm telling her what my dream was i'm looking at her going oh f oh i think she has i don't think this was a dream she's got a lot going on because i'm like hey shannon it was crazy i had this dream last night it was really wild it felt so real and i'm talking talking to her and all of a sudden has anybody ever had that where they dreamt about somebody or they had a dream about something going on and it turned out that it was true that was happening and then all of a sudden you're like holy crap i think i'm psychic well i didn't say that i think i'm uh like what's her name the lady that talks to the dead people rebecca rosen right rebecca rosen actually i'm probably more miss cleo than i am rebecca rosen

mythic mojo there you go right have you ever had that have you ever dreamt about something and then it happened uh no but i feel like i have deja vu where i feel like i've experienced things before yeah and then they actually come true and it's happened a few times down to the words that i've used oh really and i've been so tapped in to where i've realized in the moment if i say this i know what's gonna happen that's happened to me twice before but never a dream where i woke up now my mom on the other hand she likes some type of profit something like she'll have something like kevin this is gonna happen like this and it'll come true but i've never had a dream where i can say this is the future and it manifested i remember when i was i had i think i

had just the day before taking a pregnancy test and found out i was pregnant with smith and hadn't said anything to anybody and my sister jacklyn texted me that following morning and said i had a dream that you were pregnant it was wild she's like you're not pregnant are you and it was so crazy to me because i'm like i six hours ago just took a pregnancy test and by the way that was part of my dream it was not part of the stream that's not even possible so no

same sentence mojo and clairvoyant you you joke about that but there have been several times when i feel like you've said something to somebody in this studio that you had a feeling that something was going to happen or you had a dream and you're you're usually pretty close or spot on i'm like

you know how they say that dogs can sense things, right? I've got that dog sense. I know when you're pregnant. I know when there's bombs. I don't know. What's going on? Amber?

Hi. Yeah, my mother-in-law, she would always dream of fish every time one of us kids were pregnant. And we went to go tell her with our first, and she's like, y'all are pregnant, aren't you? We're like, yeah. She already knew. Yep, she already knew. And then when we tried to surprise her with our second, we came up with our first, and she had a shirt on saying Big Sister. She's like, I already know. But that's a cute shirt.

Wow. By the way, what kind of fish are we talking about? I don't know.

I think she said it was koi fish. Koi fish. That's interesting. That was a good question.

Hey, first time long time. Hey there, Colleen. hey all right so a few years ago i dreamt that my um the stone on my engagement ring cracked in

half and the next day the stone fell out of my ring oh that's crazy and what did that mean then

next did you get divorced married or no no 100% married just celebrate our anniversary i luckily found the stone it was snowing that day so the stone fell out and i have an emerald ring and i saw the green stone on the snow picked it up brought it to the jeweler and fixed the ring

see that changes every day that i wake up now you know i mean to think about what i dreamed the night before like if something actually comes true and then i dream something at night the next morning i'm watching off everything you're freaking destination yeah do you uh that's

an interesting one i wonder if anybody's ever had that happen to them where the ring their diamond fell out of the ring and it actually turned out that they started freaking out about either getting married or being married like they freaked out about their wedding a lot of texters going shannon are you going to tell us what's going on i will say this and i don't want to give you my dream did come the day after you had that emotional about loose moment on the show yeah honestly

And Kev, I feel like you just went through this. I feel just like I have so much on my plate right now. I'm very overwhelmed. I kind of feel like I'm living in a fog. Like nothing seems very clear to me. I have, you know, I talked about the Lucy thing with Lucy going from fifth grade to middle school. And that's just stressing me out because there's a lot of unknown there. She's totally switching schools. I have a stepson going to school. I have a family member that's ill. I have a friend that's ill. I'm still figuring out blending families and building a healthy marriage and what this new chapter of co-parenting looks like for me. Cause that has been quite challenging as of late. So just like all the things when you start to build them up and you're like, oh my God, I need to start unpacking all this. And so when you came to me with that, I was like, I'm telling you all this and you're going, why did I even say anything?

I should have just shut my mouth. Do you ever say to somebody and you go, hey, how you doing? And they actually tell you. Yeah.

See? I told you I'd do that. I warned you.

Hey, hey. So I had a dream about my mother passing away before she actually passed away. Wow. And it was really freaky. Like, I didn't dream how she died, but I dreamed about how my sister and I would be notified. And maybe, like, about a month or so later, it didn't happen immediately, she died.

Was she sick?

no no she wasn't sick at all she got a car accident but that time i didn't know but i knew that we would get a phone call and then my sister would start screaming and then i would pick up the phone and somebody would say your mom died and it happened exactly oh my god i'm sorry it was so freaky i was so like weirded out i was like talking to all the pastors you know trying to like oh my god what was that about but so yeah it does happen that's

How did that affect your ability to grieve?

It did affect me because I thought, at first I was nervous. Like, I thought, like, maybe I was supposed to warn her. Maybe it was something that I was supposed to do. So I felt kind of bad at first, you know. So I was really kind of going through it. And I went to grief counseling. So I kind of had to go to grief counseling to help me through it. So good question, Kev. It did affect my ability to grieve. because I thought I was, you know, I thought I was supposed to do something. It was my fault, you know, like I was young. So it was really intense. I mean, it was exactly like the dream, literally like word for word was the exact same. So it was really scary.
