I'm Mange Shachigular, and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.

00:00:49 - 00:00:54 | Speaker 1:

I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know.

Mojo on the Morning Show. You know those people that when they get drunk, They like to touch everything that is breakable I was hanging out with one of them last week And his name is Paul And he's a very good friend And he's probably going to be upset for me for talking about this But Paul is one of those guys First off, he's a grown man that likes to drink fireball shots I know But you know what's funny? I found myself, Mike, drinking them with him I'll try it once He bought one of those party tubs. Have you ever seen those at all before at the party store? It's basically a, Mike, it's a party tub that looks like, you know, you ever have a party for like the kids and you go get the ice cream at Meijer and it's the big humongous thing of ice cream that's there, like vanilla ice cream or whatever, and it's in a tub? That's what the party tub is, but it's loaded with a bunch of fireball shots. Matter of fact, hold on, I actually took a picture of the tub. Let me see how many shots it says on there that are in this thing. A bucket of regret. It contains 20 50-milliliter bottles. And by the way, this is the real Fireball. Remember that story we did about fake Fireball? Like there wasn't whiskey in the thing? So Paul was drinking away at this, and he was having other cocktails too. And he just starts touching things. And every time he goes and starts touching things, I'm standing next to him like with my hands out waiting for something. He goes and picks up, so we're in this place, and he goes and picks up a glass, like, decorative thing that was on, like, a counter that they had there.

00:03:07 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:03:08 - 00:03:12 | Speaker 6:

And he picks it up, and he goes, it looks like a telephone. And he picks the thing up, and it slips right out of his hands.

00:03:12 - 00:03:12 | Speaker 7:

No.

00:03:13 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 6:

And just falls right to the ground and just breaks it. Yes, right. Yeah. And one night, he broke this. Then we had pizza. And he spilled pizza on white furniture. So he spilled pizza on like a white chair that was there. It was like, which, by the way, you shouldn't be eating pizza over on white chairs. They shouldn't have pizza available around white chairs, but spilled it on white chairs. And I think when he was leaving, put a dent in drywall while he was leaving. um do you do you have people do you know people that uh that are total hazards when it comes to them drinking too much like what i'd love to know from our listeners what's the most expensive thing that you had broken when you were drunk 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is our telephone number because if you're somebody that is drinking a little bit too much like we were all together at the Marriott Troy Hotel bar yeah and that could have been a dangerous thing because there

00:04:21 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 7:

was a lot of breakable things by us they're real I mean we were all sitting and you said we were all together meaning the show show yeah the whole show was together on Saturday night we were we were sitting in an area that had a few couches and love seats and stools in front of a fireplace But on either side of that fireplace were a bunch of shelves that had breakable, I don't know, my grandma would call them knick-knacks. Knick-knacks. Yes. Knick-knacks. Knick-knack pappywares.

00:04:47 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 3:

More things to dust on the shelf.

00:04:49 - 00:04:49 | Unknown:

Yes.

00:04:50 - 00:04:52 | Speaker 3:

That could have been bad. That could have been really bad.

00:04:52 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 7:

But we were all very, very good.

00:04:53 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 3:

The worst is like if I'm a designated driver helping my buddies out for the night and they're like, can we stop for, you know, get some. quick pizza on the way home or something or they get some gas station chicken and I go okay I'll run in and get it and they're like well and then somebody wants to run in and get smoked somebody wants to run in and get beef jerky next thing you know there's six drunk idiots fumbling around the party store and they're all picking up glass bottles of booze and you're like put that down I'm not paying for that put that down that's kettle one that's expensive you don't need any more vodka you need sobriety and now I'm like I'm running around like yeah they're like little baby chicks that you're trying to get back into the pen

00:05:28 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 6:

I am the designated driver and the designated buyer. Yeah.

00:05:31 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 3:

Guess who's going to pay if you idiots knock that out.

00:05:34 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 1:

Exactly. It is so funny because I equate that to it's the same as being a parent and taking your kids into like a like a hallmark type store. And I always have to tell Smith, you put your hands in your pockets. Do not touch anything. Nothing. Don't just breathe and walk behind me. It's the same thing with a bunch of drunk idiots in a liquor store.

00:05:54 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 3:

Yep.

00:05:54 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 6:

The funny thing is When these friends of yours that do this Breaking stuff like that You are almost better off Just staying away and letting them take the blame For it because people let drunk people get away With it They don't let parents get away with it with their kids It seems like as much as they let Drunk Paul Getting away with it And his poor wife The moment that this thing broke His wife was online trying to find A replacement for it because she felt like she needed to pay back for it. What's up, Josh? How you doing?

00:06:30 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 5:

Good. How are you?

00:06:31 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 6:

Good. What's the most expensive thing that you broke when you were drunk?

00:06:35 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 5:

So my buddy's window. He lived in a trailer and I went outside to relieve myself and I couldn't hear him. So I guess my solution to that was to put my head through the window and continue to go about my way because the window was right where the dining room table was. I think we were playing Kings or something. So, yeah, I just let it rip through the window and didn't think anything about it, didn't know about it. The next morning I wake up and I'm like, man, what happened to your window, dude? He's like, what are you freaking talking about that you happened to my window?

00:07:20 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 3:

You don't even remember.

00:07:22 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 6:

Does it scratch you up? Like, did you get caught up by doing that? Because I always wondered if people, like, you know, walking through, like, a window or whatever, putting their fists through a window, if that hurts them.

00:07:31 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 5:

I was fine. Yeah, completely fine. Not a scratch on me.

00:07:36 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 6:

Isn't that amazing?

00:07:37 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 5:

It was pretty crazy. But, yeah, immediately I was like, oh, man, let's go to the ATM. Let's get this.

00:07:42 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 6:

How much does a window on a trailer cost? What does that cost?

00:07:47 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 5:

I think it was, like, we got a pain for, like, $225. We were able to put it in. So we were both pretty handy, fortunately. It was a no big deal. You know the beauty of it? He gave us a chance to go out for breakfast the next day and do a project.

00:08:00 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 6:

Waffle House? Did you do Waffle House? Because that's always the place to go.

00:08:03 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 5:

I think we probably hit up Frisch's because it was right there by the place, man. It's just bottom barrel food.

00:08:09 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 6:

If I knew it only cost $220 to replace a window, I would for fun when I was drunk.

00:08:15 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 5:

Probably not in your house, dude.

00:08:15 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 6:

No, but I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I was at a buddy's trailer. I would literally poke my head through and say, anybody need anything outside? Like, I would literally just do it.

00:08:23 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 3:

No, but that's what you do in the labor. These guys put it in themselves. Right. Yeah.

00:08:27 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, you wouldn't be doing the labor on that.

00:08:29 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 6:

You better believe I wouldn't. And by the way, if I can ever hang out with a bunch of guys that are drunk enough to not feel it going through a window, you got to hang out with me. All right?

00:08:38 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's a good time, man. We're all good people, and we laugh about stuff like this. It's no biggie. We take care of each other. Love you for that. We'll take care of each other for you guys, too, though. Thanks, bud. Have a good one.

00:08:47 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 6:

Take care.

00:08:47 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 3:

Something about that drunk strength that people don't even remember, like falling off the balcony into the bushes and stuff. When you're drunk, you're loose and limber. You don't, like, feel the pain the next day.

00:08:57 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 6:

Listen to what Hannah did drunk. What was the biggest thing you damaged when you were drunk?

00:09:03 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 2:

It's been a few years now, but I fell asleep in my parents' bathtub upstairs and left the water running for hours. and it overflowed to the main floor, ruined the couches, ruined the flooring, and ruined my mom's house. And thank God that you are alive. Yeah, my dad, it was horrible. It was my birthday. My dad found me butt naked.

00:09:29 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Oh, you're right, Shannon. She could have drowned.

00:09:35 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 2:

He thought my sister drugged me.

00:09:38 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wow. Wait, wait. Oh, really? Wait a second, stop. Is there like a little disgruntled family business?

00:09:44 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 2:

Well, yeah, I mean, I was 17. It was 17 years ago now, but it was horrible.

00:09:50 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 6:

What were you drinking? Fireball?

00:09:52 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, listen, this is the worst part. I obviously had too much fun this weekend because I have no voice, but it was come back. of vodka like it was worth five o'clock like we like a mister got the cheapest vodka and

00:10:06 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 4:

it was yeah that headache must have been horrible does anybody like the taste of fireball

00:10:12 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 2:

i don't mind i don't mind it yeah i don't know that i would say i like it but i don't mind it

00:10:17 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 3:

some people like the hot cinnamon to disguise the whiskey taste for people who aren't right

00:10:21 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 4:

because i'm not a whiskey i didn't even know it was whiskey until we did that story a couple weeks ago that it was whiskey yeah i always thought it was just like a i don't know like

00:10:28 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 2:
