so had to go to my second funeral in the last month yesterday uh so had a really uh sad uh sad situation buddy jason died and and uh my condolences to his wife uh janet and jacob and And then had a friend, Bill, who passed away and was a guy that, known for many, many years, actually used to live right by us and became kind of close friends with him. Chelsea and I did with their family. But had a weird situation happen at the funeral yesterday. And you guys, I want to say this to you. When they tell you to silence your phones, silence your phones. I want to ask this question. where has your phone gone off that was a complete embarrassing situation for you or maybe you got yourself into trouble because at the funeral and it was a catholic mass and if you've ever been to a catholic mass the priest does holy water over the casket yeah like as the casket's coming in and everybody like is standing and they bless the casket yeah standing right there everybody church is fairly packed as a catholic church and the priest is doing the the holy water thing and reading from the Bible and all of a sudden No way! I swear to you! No! And it took almost about I don't know 40, maybe not 40 seconds it was probably 15 seconds to 20 seconds of the song It made me almost want to walk it up like radio DJs do

00:03:42 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 1:

Channel 955

00:03:44 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 5:

we're broadcasting live right now from Holy name church but um the the person's phone went off right at that moment and the funny thing is everybody looks and they look at you and they give you the death stare no pun intended you're at a funeral i mean pun intended but pun intended they give you that stare and they're looking at you like you are an evil person how did you do this thing and the family actually kind of smiled

00:04:12 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 1:

they thought it was actually kind of in there were very sad some lightness to this yeah situation

00:04:17 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

but i've seen this happen to me uh or not to me but to people uh with me and it has happened to me with um not just ringtones i've seen it happen where you're going through and scrolling on instagram this happened to me in one of our meetings recently and i'm getting bored and i go on instagram i start scrolling and i have the volume off you know muted and all of a sudden you happen on one of the instagrams that has like music attached to it and next thing you know million dollar baby is popping up you know you're busted yeah totally yeah uh 844 mojo live 844 665-6548 what was the moment that the phone or ringtone or whatever

00:05:00 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 7:

it was went off uh this always happens to my mom when we go to the movies and it's like it's one of those things where wait you're the guy that tells people to turn the phone off my mom i won't say she's a liar but she'll always be like yes i did it i turned it off i'm like mom it got to a point now where i take her phone and i've literally turned her entire phone off i'm like we have to watch these movies if it goes off i'm gonna be pissed it's happened to her in church during prayer where you're like, dog, turn the phone off.

00:05:27 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 6:

If Anthony's listening, Anthony Laverde from Magic, this is a phenomenal video that you could have Kev and his mom taped where Kev, his mom, and Josiah are sitting in the theater and all of a sudden mom's ringtone goes off and Paul Glanz has to come over and kick Kev's mom out.

00:05:47 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 8:

Anthony, you gotta do it.

00:05:49 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 6:

Honestly, it would be so damn funny. His mom would be hysterical out there doing that. Pissed. What's her ringtone?

00:05:57 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 7:

It's just the random. And she has an Android, too. So it starts up like you're starting a computer from 1955. It's like UFOs. It's the worst thing you could possibly imagine.

00:06:08 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 2:

But isn't it funny you can tell whose phone is going off by the ringtone? Like, my dad. I love my dad more than anything. And I know he's listening right now. But he has the iPhone quacks. It's like, quack, quack. And I'm like, oh, my God. No, those are so annoying.

00:06:22 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 4:

Scott Mick. I thought you were cooler than that.

00:06:25 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 6:

Go ahead. Mojo in the morning, what's going on? Lisa, hi.

00:06:31 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 5:

Hi. What's happening?

00:06:32 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, we're talking about the embarrassing ringtone going off.

00:06:36 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Yes. So when my dad passed away in 2016, full out, Catholic start to finish, drag it out, funeral. We're at the cemetery inside the little building, and all the pallbearers are facing us. They're sitting there, including my husband and my son and my brother-in-law, and Hell's bells goes off on one of the people's phones oh this is ben wallace remember when we yeah at a funeral acdc held bells yeah so we still laugh about it we thought my dad i'm sure was laughing and not rolling just he would think that was funny yeah but the beauty lightened the mood of the crying for several days the beauty of it is at the beginning they think it's the church bells you know right right oh that's awesome we all just i stared you know me staring at my house we're all like you know especially people that know acdc i mean immediately and we just oh you know yeah so we can laugh about it now so funny thank you for the call

00:07:38 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 6:

initial f doesn't want to be called out for this but they did get called out for it happening what's

00:07:43 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 1:

going on f your voice guys oh the most embarrassing moment of my life i was doing cpr around um halloween time i'm a paramedic and the theme song to jason movies came on oh no who was it

00:08:00 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 5:

whose phone was it it was mine it was yours why is that you're doing what you do why oh okay all

00:08:10 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 4:

Right. Fair.

00:08:13 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 6:

You want to be voices, guys. Are you embarrassed because it doesn't look good for the firefighter or paramedic doing CPR?

00:08:22 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 1:

I mean, we've all done it before. It's not the first time that it's happened. I mean, people have played another one bites the dust.

00:08:28 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no. Y'all out of control.

00:08:30 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 1:

That should not be your ringtone. You are an EMT.

00:08:33 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 6:

What's up, Anthony? How you doing? It's nice.

00:08:36 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 3:

So I actually had three all at the same time at a wedding. Number one was the best man. His was the Star Wars theme song. He hung up. About five seconds later, the grooms goes off. His was Indiana Jones. And as soon as the grooms went off, I knew exactly what it was. So I shut my phone off because I knew I was next. I was next. And it's our other Fred, the dumb one, who's calling to say, I'm lost. I don't know where.

00:09:21 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 6:

No. Oh, I'd be so mad. What would your ringtone have been?

00:09:29 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 3:

Probably something stupid.

00:09:33 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:09:34 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 7:

I know that Brian's pissed. Yeah. She's like, you're a dumbass friend.

00:09:39 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 6:

Amy, it wasn't a ringtone that went off, but what happened?

00:09:43 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

So mine's not a ringtone, but I wear an insulin pump, and it never fails. There's a couple alarms that you cannot turn off, obviously for medical reasons. And I can be at a wedding. I've been in a conference. My very first day on the job, a brand-new job.

00:10:00 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 3:

Every time my boss walked in my office, my pump's going beep, beep, beep.

00:10:05 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 8:

Oh, man. So at a funeral, this went off?

00:10:08 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, at my aunt's funeral. Yeah, they're like, turn your things off. And my fiance's like, make sure you turn your pump off. I'm like, I can't turn off the load.

00:10:16 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 11:

Yeah, you can't do that.

00:10:18 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 8:

It doesn't work like that. Mary Rose, is your name Mary Rose Marie or Mary Rose?

00:10:25 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 11:

Mary Rose.

00:10:26 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 8:

Mary Rose is on with us right now. This would be something that would happen to Shannon. I saw this right away. What went off?

00:10:34 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 11:

So my birth control alarm went off during an important work meeting. And at the time, the ringer for it was the song, Knock If You Buck. Knock If You Buck. Yeah.

00:10:47 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 7:

And it was like dead silent, except for the person I was talking, then that went off.

00:10:50 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 11:

Oh, my God.

00:10:52 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 7:

Mine used to go off during meetings all, or we'd be like tasting something for the show. And how do you remember that?

00:10:57 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 8:

Because I know it's noon. I'm like, all right, it's 12 o'clock, guys. Shannon's got to take her birth control. What's up, Tracy? Hey. What's happening, Tracy? We're talking about the ringtone going off at the funeral I went to.

00:11:12 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, so I was just at my friend's mom's funeral last week. And one of the sisters or aunts was up there talking just about her mom. and some older lady's rooster ringer just started blaring off.

00:11:30 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 8:

Yes.

00:11:31 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 7:

I don't understand how people have that answer. I would be so irritated.

00:11:35 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 8:

I could see Scott Mick. If Scott Mick's got the phone going on sound, I could see a rooster now.

00:11:41 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 3:

It's funny. He's listening and he asked me to pass along a message to Shannon and it was tell Miss Murphy I'm disappointed she didn't have my back. I thought better of her.

00:11:52 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 8:

Ed, what happened at the funeral?

00:11:57 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 10:

Basically, my dad was, my uncle passed away, and we're at his funeral. My dad's in car clubs, and my uncle was in the service and everything. They did the 21-gun salute, and they were folding the flag, and it was absolute quiet as all get out. My dad's phone rings and goes, oh, God.

00:12:17 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 8:

did did the uh the military uh men and women did they make any kind of a look over at them or no

00:12:27 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 10:

no they they stood tall and they did it right but it was just absolutely embarrassing i even told my dad before we got out of the cars and stuff leave your phone in the car

00:12:38 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 8:

i'm telling and i'm not wishing death on your dad but when your dad does die Everybody should have the Ooga go off, you know, instead of the 21-gun salute.

00:12:51 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 5:
