Hey, everybody. I'm Tariqa Foster-Brasby. What's up, y'all? I'm your girl, Cheryl Swoops. When you tune in to a new episode of our podcast, Levels to This, you're definitely going to get some spicy WNBA analysis. But we're more than just hoops. And the real conversation is what we actually bring.

00:00:21 - 00:00:32 | Speaker 4:

It's been really, really cool seeing kind of these women just really step into their power off the court and understand that they are basketball, right? And they're not asking for permission.

00:00:33 - 00:00:41 | Speaker 5:

Listen to Levels to This with Stroh's Hoops and Tariqa Foster-Brasby on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

00:00:43 - 00:00:53 | Speaker 3:

Here at the Happiness Lab, we're serving up some hot takes for the summer. Big ideas that just might reshape how you think about your well-being. Like the radical notion that we should get rid of small talk completely.

00:00:54 - 00:00:59 | Speaker 7:

We talk about current events. We talk about what you do for a living. But not, do you love what you do for a living? Is this your dream job?

00:01:00 - 00:01:12 | Speaker 3:

For more surprising ideas backed by psychological science, check out our new series, Happiness Hot Takes. Listen to the Happiness Lab with me, Dr. Laurie Santos, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

00:01:13 - 00:01:47 | Speaker 1:

This is Delivering Happiness with Nick Tuturo. I'm your host, Nick Tuturo. Each week, I deliver Prince Street pizza to a new guest, including Spike Lee. Nick Tuturo! Iced tea. 00:01:47 - 00:01:57 | Speaker 8:

Oh, yes. It's Mojo in the morning. Happy holidays. We're going to call out the office Grinch right now with Megan.

00:01:58 - 00:02:02 | Speaker 2:

We're really just going to throw my brother under the bus back to back.

00:02:02 - 00:02:04 | Speaker 8:

So your brother is the office Grinch in his office?

00:02:05 - 00:03:01 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Oh, he's the biggest butthole in the whole world. And I was FaceTiming him the other day at work, unless his boss is listening. And then this is a lie and don't believe anything I say. but he was walking around and I said oh my god your office is so cute and he said yeah everybody here decorates like their offices their desks their cubicles whatever everybody really gets into the spirit around here and I was like oh that's so exciting show me your desk like let me see your little work area and he was the only person on his entire floor who had not decorated his space. Okay, now that's bad enough as it is. I think we can all agree that is offensive. But then on top of that, I said, wow, you're such a Grinch. And he said, ew, I hate those movies. You guys, I need a new brother. Because this is unacceptable behavior.

00:03:01 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 8:

Although I will tell you, the people that overly decorate in the office.

00:03:05 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I love it. You do? Yes, we need that.

00:03:08 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 8:

The people that decorate their cubicles.

00:03:11 - 00:03:20 | Speaker 6:

Well, you are our Grinch. I mean, you are the guy. You hate decorating your own Christmas tree with your family. So let's not act like it's the people at the office.

00:03:20 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 8:

I'm not allowed to decorate the Christmas tree. The problem is that you have to take it all down. Like, it's another hassle of things to do.

00:03:25 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 6:

Do you decorate anything here, Shannon?

00:03:28 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 2:

Well, there's nothing for me to decorate.

00:03:29 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 8:

What am I going to decorate? Well, you can decorate right there. You got your own little area there.

00:03:33 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 2:

See, I got a bow on it.

00:03:35 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 8:

You got to, yeah.

00:03:36 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 2:

Perfect. That noise is for putting a bow on it right now. I mean, I would if I could.

00:03:40 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 8:

Yeah.

00:03:41 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 2:

I really, really would.

00:03:42 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 8:

When we get our new studios, we're not going to be able to because we're sharing our studios with the other radio stations. So we won't be able to do that.

00:03:47 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 6:

Megan, you didn't decorate your back wheel, your spare tire on the back of your Jeep this year.

00:03:51 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, and you're calling your brother out for being a Grinch.

00:03:54 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I kind of hate the holidays this year.

00:03:57 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 8:

It doesn't feel like holidays, does it?

00:03:59 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 2:

It really doesn't. I don't get what it is. Maybe it's the lack of snow. It's the lack of coldness. And before all of you come at me, y'all, it's what's the date today? It's December 16th. 16th? And it's what? was the temperature stand 37 degrees 37 degrees this is not December 16 yesterday was very yesterday was 47 degrees it's not winter I feel like okay we're gonna hard left turn this topic nobody in my neighborhood has decorated the outside of our house the most anybody has done has been a Christmas tree just lit in their front living room in the window nobody decorated I feel like it doesn't feel like Christmas outside I have not gotten into the holiday spirit I feel Like, every kind of holiday thing this year just didn't really get done. And I am so not in the mood for the holidays this year.

00:04:47 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 8:

Okay, then here's what we're going to do. We're going to get people into the mood for the holidays. What is your favorite Christmas carol? What is, like, your favorite Christmas carol that you love so much?

00:04:56 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 2:

Me?

00:04:56 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. Like, the song that, not Christmas song like Mariah Carey.

00:05:00 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 7:

Carrie, All I Want for Christmas, stuff like that. I'm talking about classic Christmas song, like White Christmas, Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire, Jingle Bells, something like that. I'm going to pull it out, and you're going to sing for us and get us ready for Christmas.

00:05:12 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 6:

Well, let me pull up the lyrics then. Probably like Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree.

00:05:16 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 7:

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. Brenda Lee? Okay, we just heard it a second ago. Perfect. Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, Brenda Lee. And I'm going to get the instrumental version, the karaoke version.

00:05:28 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 6:

Oh, perfect. All right, hold on a second. Hold on, I got to get up then.

00:05:32 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 7:

Karaoke.

00:05:36 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 6:

I love that somebody texted in, I'm blaming Mars in retrograde. I'll take it.

00:05:42 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 7:

All right, so to get us into the Christmas spirit, I hope your brother's listening, because maybe if your brother is listening, he doesn't like the show?

00:05:50 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 6:

No, he doesn't think I'm funny at all. That's probably the most disrespectful thing.

00:05:54 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 7:

But there's other people that are funny on the show that he doesn't have to listen to.

00:05:57 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but he doesn't think I'm cool. He doesn't think I'm funny. Do your siblings find you guys cool?

00:06:03 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 7:

My siblings love me.

00:06:06 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 6:

Like, actually, they are. Yes. Oh, my God. It must be so great to be Mojo right now.

00:06:09 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 7:

You call Ann Pat up. Ann Pat will tell you how much she loves me.

00:06:12 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 1:

My family's famous saying, especially my sisters, is if I tell a story, they're like, okay, now tell the non-radio version. Yes!

00:06:18 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 7:

Tell the real story. Well, we all do that. We all over-exaggerate. All right, ready? Here we go. Ladies and gentlemen, we're going to get finally into the Christmas spirit. I got it. All right, Reese, are you eating breakfast? for videotaping. Videotape this.

00:06:30 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 6:

I don't know when it starts.

00:06:31 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 7:

Okay, Megan. Ready? Here you go. You got a set.

00:06:34 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 6:

Does it have the, like, is it a YouTube video where it's going to tell you it starts? I'm going to need you to point at me.

00:06:39 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 7:

No, I think it, I think it's just, it's got like a seven-second intro. Here you go. Ready?

00:06:47 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 5:

You can't say, you cannot say that I don't commit. No, you're good.

00:07:48 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 7:

This is where the band's playing. It's the bridge. It's the band getting there. Okay, ready? And finale with Megan.
