I lost my headphones there for a second. When I did it, I got so excited. We on the air right now? You can hear me? Here we go. Shayna, are you there, Shayna? Yeah. Shayna, you're a winner. Congratulations. Shayna.

00:02:22 - 00:02:25 | Speaker 6:

I've never won anything in my life. This is a good one.

00:02:25 - 00:02:30 | Speaker 8:

Do you hear about this big game that's going on in Columbus?

00:02:32 - 00:02:34 | Speaker 6:

Here and there, I hear about it.

00:02:35 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 8:

Okay, it's big news in the NHL. The Columbus Blue Jackets are going to be hosting our Detroit Red Wings in a game that's going to be played at the Ohio State Buckeyes football stadium. The horseshoe there? They're playing outdoor football. You got a pair of tickets to that. 21 pilots are going to be performing. You got pit passes to that. And you're now qualified for a meet and greet with 21 pilots plus a Red Wings prize pack. Congratulations.

00:03:07 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh. Thank you.

00:03:09 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 8:

Isn't that amazing? And you've never won anything? Yeah. You've never won, like, even a door prize at, like, an auction for your kid's school?

00:03:18 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 6:

No. And as much as my fiance signs up for all that stuff, never.

00:03:23 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 8:

This is going to be nice. Is your fiance a Red Wings fan?

00:03:27 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 6:

He's not, but my son is. My son's 14, and he's been through. Oh, perfect.

00:03:32 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 8:

That's going to be fantastic.

00:03:33 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 6:

So he's had a rough year.

00:03:35 - 00:03:39 | Speaker 8:

Has he really? What's your son's name? We want to wish him well.

00:03:40 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 6:

Brayden.

00:03:41 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 8:

How old's Brayden?

00:03:44 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 6:

14.

00:03:45 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 8:

Brayden, 14 years old. Brayden, you and Mom are going to have the time of your life. You guys are going to the game. Congratulations to you. Oh, this is going to be for you. Hang on one second, okay? Thank you so much. All right. Okay. Look for Megan. Megan's going to be out there. Megan's going to be representing Detroit and the Wed Wings.

00:04:01 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we're going to be hanging out.

00:04:03 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 8:

So you stay right on the phone, and we'll get some information from you. I love to hear that good things are turning your way here, and Brayden's going to have a good time, okay?

00:04:12 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 6:

Thank you so much.

00:04:13 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 8:

All right, another chance tomorrow morning.

00:04:15 - 00:04:24 | Speaker 2:

Sometimes you miss your ex. Then you remember what a douchebag he is and how awesome you are. Then you remember you don't miss him. Another War of the Roses at After 9 on Mojo in the Morning.

00:04:25 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 8:

All right. It is Mojo in the Morning. Shannon, oh, gosh. Whenever you talk about stuff at the gym, I always hope that it's not the gym that advertises.

00:04:36 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 1:

This is not.

00:04:38 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 8:

Okay.

00:04:38 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 1:

I swear I get, like, good content for the show just on a few occasions I actually go to the gym. But I walked out of the gym. I was on my way or I went to the gym on my way home from the radio station the other day just to get like some a quick workout in. And on my way out, I noticed a guy just sitting in his car in the parking lot smoking a joint.

00:05:00 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 6:

And I don't know if he was going into workout or coming, you know, like coming out of his workout if he had just finished. But I'm like, aren't you negating everything that if you just worked out, you just did? Or how do you go in and work out when you're high? I do not understand this. I love it. Really? I live for it.

00:05:20 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 7:

It is my favorite thing to do. I work out harder. I don't feel like as much like pain, strain, stress, like energy depletion. I just feel better and you recover faster.

00:05:34 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 6:

I feel like to me, because I am not a smoker, but it would be the equivalent of having a glass or two of wine and then going into workout, which I could not do. I would vomit.

00:05:43 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 7:

No, no. And I'll do longer cardio because like I love the stair climber. I can't do the stair climber longer than 10 minutes unless I'm blazed. and then I have no idea how much time has passed and I'm on there for like 45 minutes. I'm like, oh, this feels great. You can't stop me.

00:05:58 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 5:

I think people who are high, as Megan is showing, they can do anything when they're high. Like I've seen people that get high and go in and like, you know, teach kids. You know what I mean? That's a fact.

00:06:12 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:06:13 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 5:

Like ever since it became legal, now I feel like I smell it everywhere. Everywhere.

00:06:19 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 6:

And that's what first tip. I mean, I literally walked out of the gym and it was like, boom, a wall of just that smell. And this guy, he was parked next to me and I was a ways down. That's how strong it was.

00:06:34 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 4:

That loud peck. When I used to smoke, I used to smoke a lot when I was like in my early 20s, early mid 20s. And two things happened. I felt like I was a better driver because I felt like I was more alert, more aware, and I was focused for sure.

00:06:48 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 5:

Which is not good, by the way, because I've heard people that are drunk do that, and it's just as bad to smoke as it is to drink.

00:06:54 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 4:

No, I mean, yeah. I mean, y'all know my history with drunk driving. I was way less focused and way less attentive when I was drunk as opposed to being high. But I used to work at a bank, and I was a teller.

00:07:08 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:07:08 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 4:

And the line was empty, and this lady came up and tried to get a cashier's check, and I was high as hell. and could not, no way in my mind did I know how to process this cashier's chicken. I've done it a thousand times. I put my head down. I looked up. What was once one lady in the line turned out to be seven people in the line. I had no idea the hell I was doing.

00:07:26 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 5:

I would like you to see counting money out. The people, like, you know how they do that?

00:07:30 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 6:

But that's like this guy, could you imagine this guy's been going into the gym and, like, deadlifting? Isn't that dangerous? Nah.

00:07:38 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 5:

Nina smokes before she goes and works out. Nina?

00:07:41 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 1:

hi

00:07:43 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 5:

what's up

00:07:44 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 1:

yeah I cannot go into the gym unless I hit my pen first

00:07:48 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 5:

really so it eases you it makes your muscles feel better

00:07:52 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 1:

yes and it puts me in my own world so I'm not focused on anything that's happening around me

00:07:58 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 5:

by the way this is the judgment free zone right here truly the judgment free zone smoking before you're going in for your workout

00:08:07 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 4:

that's what we call it Reps and reefer.

00:08:11 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 5:

Charlie, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. How you doing? Are you a person that will work out, get your workout going when you're high?

00:08:19 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, 100%. I'm not going to the gym unless I'm stoned. Yeah, like they said, it puts me in my own mind. It's like, put the headphones on, you're just ready.

00:08:29 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 5:

You know, it's interesting because I'm not a smoker, but I do love my bourbon. I wonder what it would be like to put bourbon in a Yeti.

00:08:37 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 6:

You'd throw up.

00:08:38 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, you'd throw up.

00:08:39 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 5:

Well, but everybody seems like they're working out.

00:08:43 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 7:

But you're like saying then weed and alcohol are comparable and they're not. And I'm going to let you in on a little secret. You put on a little bit of Caravan Palace as your playlist while you're blitzed and you're doing cardio. Man, you can call me the Flash because I am running.

00:08:58 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 5:

That's how you know who the stoners are. Go look at their playlist. By the way, is this why the Food Network's on the television in the gym?

00:09:06 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 7:

No, it pisses me off when I'm high and it's on there, though.

00:09:09 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Voice Disguise B, Initial B, what's going on?

00:09:15 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 3:

Hi, good morning. Good morning.

00:09:17 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 5:

What's up?

00:09:19 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 3:

So I do triathlines, like half irons, and Megan's 100% right. When you hit your stride and you zone in, especially if you're listening to something good like a little M&M or something, and you start hitting that B, you could run for days.

00:09:37 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 7:

Can you just do me one favor? Can you repeat that first sentence one more time?

00:09:42 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 5:

No, don't. She must be high. I think that's why.

00:09:47 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 3:

No, not high.

00:09:49 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 5:

Driving the car. Thank you for the call. Hold on. Baby Leg Jay wants to call in. What's up, Jay?

00:09:56 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 6:

We haven't heard from him in a while.

00:09:58 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Baby Leg Jay?

00:10:00 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 9:

Hey, hey, hey. How y'all doing this morning?

00:10:02 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 7:

Good, Baby Lake Jay. What's up? You work out and get high before you work out or while you're working out?

00:10:07 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 9:

I'm getting high on everything. I'm having breakfast as champions right now as we speak. Really? Okay.

00:10:16 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 7:

So what kind of workout are we doing? Are you a cardio guy? Are you a weights guy? What are you?

00:10:21 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 9:

I'm a weights guy. I like my weights.

00:10:24 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 7:

Do you ever worry you got too much weight on there? Like everything feels too heavy?

00:10:30 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 9:

Nah, if it's here too heavy, I'm going to walk away and get something else.

00:10:36 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 8:

By the way, you said you like bourbon. I'm a bourbon fan, too. I like Bo Rose bourbon.

00:10:44 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 7:

But my problem is my perspective changes when I have a little buzz on. Like, I would actually not feel the ground. Like, I would be on that treadmill taking double steps, you know?

00:10:56 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 8:

It's not for everybody. Everybody can't do it. you know it's for the elite right it's like thank you thank you meg it's for the elite

00:11:04 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 7:

i actually find it interesting that when i am high i can't feel the ground and it would be weird to be on a stair stepper i'd they would go hey what are you doing i'd be like i'm on a stair stepper they'd be like no that's not a stair stepper you're just like you're standing in the front of the gym like i would i i don't know i couldn't do it cav you're going to be out today. You're going to be at Planet Fitness at Briarwood Mall. No, sir. No, I want you to call out the people that you know that are there. Okay. Yeah, Briarwood Mall. I'll be there four to six. Come high. Take a poll. Do an impromptu poll. By the way, you can win tickets to go see Jelly Roll and Post Malone from Kevin today at the Planet Fitness there, the brand new one. But take like a poll and just say, hey, Shannon brought this up this morning. Is there anybody here? And let's see how many people are I will. Man, you know what? This is actually good. I should find out if there's any spaces available next to the Planet Fitness locations, and we should put a dispensary right there. It's not a bad idea. Would that be interesting? I always thought dispensaries were great around a Wendy's. Is that your go-to high food? For some reason, give me like a triple and some chili, and I am in.

00:12:22 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 5:

I'm so good right now. I'm so hungry. I'm so hungry. I'm so hungry. They've taken over cities before, but this July, they're bringing the X Games League Championship home to New Orleans, July 24th through 26th at the Superdome. Over 100 elite athletes competing for the first ever league title, plus Metro Boomin, JID, Subtronics, and Bunt performing live. New Orleans doesn't just host the moment. New Orleans is the moment. We've all seen the headlines. Florida man wrestles alligator in a tuxedo, or Florida man sues after finding toenails in his ice cream.

00:13:50 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 2:

It's easy to laugh at the meme, but have you ever wondered about the human behind the headline?

00:13:55 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 3:

Hey, I'm Frankie P.

00:13:56 - 00:14:01 | Speaker 2:

And I'm Amelia. On our podcast, Hidden Florida and Beyond, we're going beneath the surface of the sunshine state.

00:14:01 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 6:

From interviews with real people who make Florida weird. I'm pulling it up, and as I'm pulling it up, I see an arm. Stop it. Come down.

00:14:09 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 2:

To deep dives into the stories you didn't know you were looking for. Hey, give it up for Mark Wahlberg on the podcast today. It's more than just a meme, it's a lifestyle.
