Bill, why is my eye twitching? Does this mean I'm in perimenopause? Where's my phone?

00:00:35 - 00:00:37 | Speaker 3:

Juliana, maybe we can ask an actual human.

00:00:37 - 00:00:46 | Speaker 1:

Yes, because I have questions and I bet you do too. Like, is it normal to sleep in separate bedrooms? We do that and I still need to know why my poop's been green.

00:00:46 - 00:00:51 | Speaker 3:

We've got actual people answering these exact questions. Listen to Bill and Juliana.

All right, it is the Mojo in the Morning show. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Tell me how I should interpret this. So I got contacted just the other day by a friend of mine who invited Chelsea and I to her wedding, which is this weekend. Now, she didn't just decide she was getting married this weekend. She had had this planned for some time. And I got a text from her less than a week before the wedding saying, oh, my God, I was looking over my RSVP list for my wedding and realized I totally forgot to send you guys an invitation. This is so embarrassing, but I wanted you to know that I'm getting married and I would love for you and Chelsea to be at the wedding. Now, the wedding is nearby. um it's very close to the house so not too bad we don't necessarily have any plans scheduled although sometimes no plans are the best plans and i really do like this person and chelsea does too like we're genuinely happy for her and for her future husband but come on somebody tell me that i really wasn't left off the list or we weren't left off the list how close are you to this person uh i would say we're close i mean not close enough where we get together on a regular basis but yeah i definitely talked to this person and i don't know you know half a dozen times a

00:02:55 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 5:

year you know you're probably afterthought you absolutely were they got the rsvps realized they had more room and then said you know who we should invite yeah yeah let's put these guys on the list So, Wes and I had that wedding party a couple of months ago, and once, like, the RSVPs came in and there were extra, like, quote-unquote spots because we had a capacity, Wes was like, oh, I kind of want to invite this person and this person. I'm like, you can't do that. You can't do that because it's so glaringly obvious that then they were an after spot. Yeah, you can't do it.

00:03:31 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 7:

This reminded me of when I was in school and I got chosen to not make the varsity team, but I was put on the junior varsity team. And the good kids couldn't make a game, so guess who got to suit up, you know? That's kind of what I felt like.

00:03:48 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 1:

You have so much potential for varsity next year, so we wanted to push you on JV this year.

00:03:52 - 00:03:55 | Speaker 7:

They needed a body to practice against, right?

00:03:55 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 5:

Although I will say there was one person that I did truly space and forget to invite. And I wished that I would have invited her. And so I want to give this person the benefit of the doubt and just hope that they had a holy crap moment.

00:04:12 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 6:

But it's still sometimes is it premeditated? Like if you have, let's just say, use a quick number, 50. You have 50 spots. do you have a extra 10 in mind list or you just randomly think of people if the 50 can't make it

00:04:28 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

i think that when we got married i think we had at our wedding maybe a hundred and like 50 people okay and i think it was immediate family first and then it was all of the others like the friends and the co-workers i think were the last even on the list that that went because we wanted to make sure that you know and we and we and chelsea's mom and dad were paying for it and they they don't have a ton of money to be you know adding a whole bunch of the people the list oh thanks for the invite but we would have loved to have had your gift um i did get by the way a great gift from

00:05:00 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 2:

boss and he didn't show up at the wedding you always invite the boss because you know they'll get you a good gift and they don't ever come to the wedding so they don't care about it but real quick i want to solicit for something because i want to look for this as a direction who is the most important person that you forgot to invite to your wedding because i do want to know if there's anybody that has had it happen where they forgot to actually give an invite to somebody like like a grandma or something you know 844 mojo live the secondary calls i want to get your thoughts on this do you guys think you know it's just an afterthought because i think it's kind of an afterthought and then um thirdly on the list do you think that it is rude to do this because i agree with shannon yeah like i i think i think doing that it would be rude yeah to all of a

00:05:43 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 3:

sudden you know do that like even this person that i'm speaking of that i was like oh f i really truly wanted her to be there by the time i realized it i'm like i i can't at this point invite her because it would look like this. She would be saying the same thing and I would almost rather just say, we kept it small.

00:06:03 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. It really does. I'll be honest with you.

00:06:08 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 3:

I think it looks worse

00:06:09 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 2:

to invite you at this point. I hope it doesn't make them feel bad because Chelsea and I may just go, yeah, like I said, I don't know what we're going to do. Are you going to go? I have no idea. We're contemplating it because we have the party that I had for. So it's like, it's like probably not grace. Hi, Grace.

00:06:28 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. This girl's not being honest. I have a good friend that has seven children and we were on the B list for every single one of them. And she explained to us, they both have big families. And she said, I really want you to come, but I said, put us on the B list. So I kind of came up with the idea. We always got the invitation a couple of days before or the night before.

00:06:50 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 2:

The night before

00:06:53 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, why not Free meals, good booze, good company Why not go? I'm with you

00:07:01 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 2:

You know what's interesting with that? I wonder if this happens more than just weddings What do you do if a friend says Hey, we're getting a bunch of people together tomorrow night Or in 10 minutes Do you want to come over? And then you find out all these other people got invited well ahead of time What's up, David?

00:07:17 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 5:

Hey, what's up?

00:07:18 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 2:

How are you, buddy?

00:07:19 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 5:

First time in a long time David says that there's a name

00:07:24 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 2:

for what Chelsea and I will be if we go to this wedding. What is that, David? Seat fillers? Is that what you said?

00:07:33 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 1:

Oh, seat fillers. There you go. Isn't that what you said? No, I think that was somebody else. I said you're definitely you weren't forgotten about. I think the RCPs came back and they didn't have enough seats to fill, so seat fillers, yeah.

00:07:47 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 2:

Okay, there you go. Well, I think Lydia said that you were going to say that, but no, you're right. They don't have enough seats. Is it more embarrassing to have empty seats at a wedding or just remove some of the tables that are there and just like move or make this the tables a little bit?

00:08:02 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 3:

I went to a wedding one time and it was for a pretty close family member. And I would say it was so sad. And this is no exaggeration. Maybe 35, 40 percent of the seats were empty. Wow. Oh, wow. That's crazy. I don't know if, like, they didn't. I can't remember if they didn't do an RSVP, which I think they did, or just people were no-shows, but it was, I felt horrible. I felt horrible. It was so weird to see.

00:08:29 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

Jill, what's up?

00:08:31 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Mojo. I'm just thinking, you know, she should have been smarter and said, hey, we haven't gotten your RSVP back. What's going on?

00:08:39 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that would have been a great way. Yeah.

00:08:41 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 3:

That would have been the perfect way. Oh, so good. Blame it on the United States Postal Service. That's so smart, Jill. Yes, yes. You guys have a great day.

00:08:52 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 2:

You too. What's up, Heather? Hi.

00:08:55 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Good morning, everyone. Good morning. I hate to tell you this, Mojo, but you were invited because they had to hit their minimum.

00:09:04 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's, yeah.

00:09:06 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 4:

So they were going to have to spend the money anyway if they committed to the venue that they were going to pay for 150 people and they fell below that, they're going to have to pay for it anyways. So why would they just be paying for an empty plate if they wanted to fill it?

00:09:21 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 3:

They save themselves the embarrassment of this situation that's happening right now.

00:09:25 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 2:

If you have a party or get married and you're having it at a venue and they tell you you have to pay for all the plates, can you just ask them for a to-go box with everything? Wrap this up. I would.

00:09:34 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you probably could. Do you like the venue where they're having it and is it an open bar? Because in that case, if you don't have plans, go for a drink or two. It's not far.

00:09:43 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 2:

It's actually not that far.

00:09:44 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 3:

Go for a drink or two.

00:09:45 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's actually not a bad idea. Honestly, that would be a more fun wedding. Just show up at a time just to go having drinks.

00:09:51 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 3:

So you know this person that did this to me. I got invited to a wedding like halfway through. The wedding had already happened. The dinner had already happened. And I...

00:10:00 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 1:

guy who i was like kind of sort of dating at the time was like hey i'm right down the street the wedding was at the townsend i'm right down the street like get in your car and come over i threw on a dress i threw on some makeup i was in my pajamas i had the best night ever it was so fun

00:10:13 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 6:

no that's it was so so fun that actually sounds not bad what if you just showed up in the clothes that you were wearing when you're sitting on the couch that would not have been i think that would If I was the bride and somebody showed up in pajamas like after dinner and after everything else, I would be like, hell yeah, let's party. By the way, somebody did say that they forgot to invite their immediate family to the wedding. They didn't know that they had to do that. I'm assuming that they just assumed or, you know, just came to the wedding anyway. Because there's a lot of I wanted to know if there's any people that ever forgot like somebody big. And then Sierra, who did you forget to invite?

00:10:52 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 2:

I accidentally forgot to invite my parents at first. I didn't remember to send an invite later for them. I just thought it was assumed, I guess. I wasn't thinking. But I didn't invite anybody from my dad's side of the family, and that was completely intentional. Oh, yeah.
